Iso-8
Phantom Rider can be either a Raider or a Striker. Raider is a good choice because he attacks multiple enemies with his abilities, increasing the potential damage he can deal. On the other hand, Striker is a viable option in the Secret Warriors team since there are already several Raiders present, allowing him to benefit from the Vulnerables that will certainly be applied to opponents. Additionally, with his Basic and Iso-8 attack, he applies 2 Bleed effects to the target, and those Bleeds will deal more damage if Phantom Rider is set as a Striker.
T4 Priority
P – Passive ability
U – Ultimate ability
S – Special ability
B – Basic ability
Passive – Deals increased damage to all enemies on his turn: 325% damage to all enemies, an increase from previously 225% damage. Additionally, when he Revives, he will provide a Barrier to the entire team equal to 25% of his Max Health (an increase from the previous 10%). However, the most significant upgrade is that while Phantom Rider has Revive Once, during War Offense, enemies cannot gain Deflect, Counterattack, or Evade. This will significantly weaken opposing teams and provide the Secret Warrior team a strong advantage in War Offense.
Awakened Passive – Allows Phantom Rider to heal for 10% of his Max Health on Turn if he clears any Charge through his Passive attack. This provides a decent sustain upgrade for Phantom Rider, enhancing its survivability. However, it is not a critical or decisive factor in determining the outcome of battles.
Ultimate – Deals greater damage, and in War Offense, if Phantom Rider has 3 or more Secret Warrior allies, it will flip Exhausted to Offense Up on itself and all Secret Warrior allies. This upgrade allows the Secret Warrior team to easily handle Mephisto, who applies Exhausted to his opponents at the start of every battle.
Awakened Ultimate – Becomes incredibly powerful on War Offense. It allows him to copy 2 random positive effects, excluding Taunt, from the primary and adjacent targets onto himself. Additionally, he flips 2 random positive effects on each target. With this upgrade, Phantom Rider’s Ultimate is not only a potent tool for debuffing multiple enemies but also for copying and flipping their positive effects. Ultimate is indeed a remarkable ability, especially with its capability to clear Battlefield Effects on the enemy side. Its versatility and power make it an invaluable asset in various situations.
Special – If the target is already affected by Stun, the duration of all negative effects on that target (excluding Stun and Ability Block) will be extended by 1 turn, up to a maximum of 3 turns. Additionally, the damage dealt by this ability will be increased, making it a solid upgrade. Since Phantom Rider applies Stun to the primary target with his Special, this ensures that negative effects on the target can consistently be prolonged.
Awakened Special – On War Offense ignores Defense Up with this ability. Since his Special targets all opponents, this is a decent upgrade, though not particularly critical.
Basic – Increase Phantom Rider’s damage with both primary and bonus attacks, while also applying 2 Bleed effects instead of 1. Overall, this is a solid upgrade. Â
Awakened Basic – Provide 30% Drain, allowing Phantom Rider to heal for 30% of the damage dealt with his Basic attack. This upgrade enhances the character’s sustain.

About Character
Originally introduced as the Western hero Ghost Rider, Carter Slade was later renamed Phantom Rider to avoid confusion with the more well-known supernatural Ghost Rider, Johnny Blaze.
Carter Slade is a cowboy and vigilante who operates in the American Old West during the 19th century. Unlike the fiery and demonic Ghost Riders of later stories, Phantom Rider does not possess supernatural powers tied to Hell or vengeance. Instead, he uses his skills as a marksman, his expert horsemanship, and his mysterious phosphorescent white costume to strike fear into outlaws and protect the innocent.
The character’s backstory reveals that Carter Slade was a schoolteacher before he became a masked hero. After being gravely injured in a skirmish with bandits, he was nursed back to health by a Native American tribe. They gifted him with his luminous costume and trained him to become a defender of justice. Riding his white horse, Banshee, Phantom Rider became a legendary figure in the Wild West.
Though Carter Slade is not as prominent as other Marvel heroes, he has appeared in various storylines over the years, often serving as a symbol of justice and courage from a bygone era. His legacy has been passed down through the generations, with other characters occasionally adopting the Phantom Rider mantle.
While not as widely recognized as modern Marvel superheroes, Phantom Rider remains an intriguing part of Marvel’s history, embodying the spirit of Western adventure and heroism.
Phantom Rider is a formidable character in the Secret Warrior squad, equipped with abilities that make him a resilient and strategic ally in battle. His gunbelt provides key advantages, including Revive Once, Death-Proof, Barrier, and Speed Bar manipulation. Notably, Phantom Rider gains a full 100% Speed Bar whenever a Secret Warrior ally falls, ensuring swift retaliation. Additionally, his ability to apply Deathproof to his allies and maintain a steady supply of Revive Once makes this team exceptionally difficult to eliminate. With traits like Hero, City, Mystic, Blaster, and Secret Warrior, Phantom Rider is an essential asset for overcoming War Defense enemies and avenging fallen teammates.
