Secret Warrior

VIDEO ADVERTISEMENT

Introduction

The Secret Warrior is engineered to be a top-performing team for War Offense. Only Phantom Rider is a new character, while Yo-Yo, Quake, Negasonic, and Domino have all been reworked. While this team excels at War Offense, several Secret Warriors also offer strong plug-and-play potential due to their unique kits or outstanding stats.

The lineup includes two Mutant, two Bio, and one Mystic character: one Protector, two Controllers, and two Blasters. All five are Heroes; four are Global, and one is City.

Utility

  • Alliance War Offense

The team is designed to excel as an offensive option in Alliance War, capable of defeating most defensive teams set by opponents. For optimal performance, it’s not necessary to use all five characters together. In fact, you can substitute one of the characters with a strong plug-and-play option without losing any bonuses. The key, for each of them, is to ensure that at least three Secret Warrior allies are present in the lineup for everything to function perfectly. So, generally, we can use them as a unit—all five characters together—or four Secret Warrior along with one strong plug-and-play character.

Team Placement & Turn Order

We will place Phantom Rider in the center. To his left and right, we’ll position Quake and Domino. On the corners, we’ll put Yo-Yo and Negasonic since they can passively gain Taunt, making them situational protectors for the team. This is why we assign them to the corners.

Turn Order:

  1. Yo-Yo
  2. Phantom Rider
  3. Quake
  4. Domino
  5. Negasonic

Yo-Yo is an extremely fast character, while Phantom Rider and Quaqe have decent speed. The remaining two characters are notably slower. However, Domino on Spawn has abilities that compensate for their speed. Domino fills her own Speed Bar by 15% and, in War Offense, boosts the entire team’s Speed Bar by 5%. Negasonic, despite being the slowest, excels in War Offense as she fills her own Speed Bar by 30% (10% base + 5% per Secret Warrior ally), allowing her to act much earlier in battle.

Iso-8 Classes

  • Yo-Yo Raider
  • Domino – Raider
  • Phantom Rider – Raider / Striker
  • Quake – Striker
  • Negasonic – Raider

Yo-Yo can work as a Fortifier since she passively gains Taunt when Phantom Rider’s health drops below 50%. However, we believe she is better suited as a Raider because her Special attacks multiple enemies, and her Ultimate targets all opponents. This way, we aim to maximize the damage she can deal.

Domino is an excellent Raider because she passively boosts her Crit Damage, and her abilities allow her to attack multiple enemies.

Phantom Rider can be either a Raider or a Striker. Raider is a good choice because he attacks multiple enemies with his abilities, increasing the potential damage he can deal. On the other hand, Striker is a viable option in the Secret Warriors team since there are already several Raiders present, allowing him to benefit from the Vulnerables that will certainly be applied to opponents. Additionally, with his Basic and Iso-8 attack, he applies 2 Bleed effects to the target, and those Bleeds will deal more damage if Phantom Rider is set as a Striker.

Quake should be assigned the Striker Iso-8 class because her Iso-8 attack targets both the primary and adjacent enemies while applying Slow for 2 turns, which is highly effective. To maximize her impact, ensure that the primary target is always an opponent with Vulnerable so she can trigger her Iso-8 attack after her initial strike.

Negasonic will also be effective as a Raider since her abilities target multiple enemies. The Raider class is the best way to enhance her damage further. Additionally, like Yo-Yo, she passively gains Taunt when Phantom Rider’s health drops below 40%, making her a candidate for the Fortifier class as well. This is especially beneficial since she passively gains extra Armor when she has Barrier. If you prefer a more defensive approach with added mitigation, assigning her the Fortifier Iso-8 class would be a solid choice.

Team T4’s

Essential

  • Yo-Yo – Ultimate and Passive
  • Phantom Rider – Passive and Ultimate
  • Quake – Passive
  • Negasonic – Ultimate and Special

Yo-Yo

When Ultimate is maxed out, Yo-Yo will deal slightly increased damage and, during War Offense, will generate 1 Ability Energy for a Phantom Rider ally. This allows Phantom Rider to use his Ultimate again on his second turn. Additionally, he will have the option to use his Special, giving him flexibility to choose based on the situation.

Maxed Passive allows Yo-Yo to apply 2 Evade to herself and all Secret Warrior allies upon spawning during War Offense. This significantly enhances team mitigation in War Offense, particularly at the beginning of the battle.

Phantom Rider

When maxed out with his Passive, Phantom Rider will deal increased damage to all enemies on his turn: 325% damage to all enemies, an increase from previously 225% damage. Additionally, when he Revives, he will provide a Barrier to the entire team equal to 25% of his Max Health (an increase from the previous 10%). However, the most significant upgrade is that while Phantom Rider has Revive Once, during War Offense, enemies cannot gain Deflect, Counterattack, or Evade. This will significantly weaken opposing teams and provide the Secret Warrior team a strong advantage in War Offense.

The Awakened Passive allows Phantom Rider to heal for 10% of his Max Health on Turn if he clears any Charge through his Passive attack. This provides a decent sustain upgrade for Phantom Rider, enhancing its survivability. However, it is not a critical or decisive factor in determining the outcome of battles.

Maxing out Ultimate deals greater damage, and in War Offense, if Phantom Rider has 3 or more Secret Warrior allies, it will flip Exhausted to Offense Up on itself and all Secret Warrior allies. This upgrade allows the Secret Warrior team to easily handle Mephisto, who applies Exhausted to his opponents at the start of every battle.

The Awakened Ultimate ability for Phantom Rider becomes incredibly powerful on War Offense. It allows him to copy 2 random positive effects, excluding Taunt, from the primary and adjacent targets onto himself. Additionally, he flips 2 random positive effects on each target. With this upgrade, Phantom Rider’s Ultimate is not only a potent tool for debuffing multiple enemies but also for copying and flipping their positive effects. Ultimate is indeed a remarkable ability, especially with its capability to clear Battlefield Effects on the enemy side. Its versatility and power make it an invaluable asset in various situations.

Quake

When Quake’s Passive ability is fully upgraded, at the end of any Secret Warrior ally’s turn, she will automatically attack the most injured enemy for 150% damage and apply Heal Block for 1 turn. This passive damage is always a welcome addition, and the Heal Block, preventing the most injured enemy from recovering health, is an excellent bonus.

Negasonic

On War Offense, if Negasonic has three or more Secret Warrior allies, she will reduce the duration of all positive effects by 2 on all targets (anti-Safeguard mechanics). Additionally, she gains +500% Extra Focus for this action, making it an incredible upgrade. This Ultimate upgrade allows us to effectively remove enemy buffs, regardless of whether they have Safeguard applied or not.

The Special ability will deal increased damage when fully upgraded. Additionally, it will clear all positive effects from the primary and adjacent targets, an improvement from previously removing only three positive effects. This upgrade allows us to strip buffs from multiple enemies entirely, which is highly beneficial.

Recommended

  • Yo-Yo – Special and Basic
  • Domino – Passive
  • Phantom Rider – Special and Basic
  • Negasonic – Passive

Yo-Yo

When maxed out, the Special will now attack 3 additional random targets (an increase from 2 additional random targets). This upgrade results in a straightforward damage boost.

Yo-Yo will always gain an Assist from a random Inhuman or Secret Warrior ally whenever she uses her maxed Basic ability (previously a 70% chance). This upgrade is beneficial as it increases the overall damage output of the Secret Warrior team.

Domino

When Domino’s Passive is maxed, she will have a 75% chance to apply Evade to an X-Force ally during their turn (an increase from 50%). Additionally, Domino will passively increase Crit Damage for herself and all X-Force allies by 20% (up from 10%). However, since Negasonic is the only X-Force ally in the Secret Warrior team, this upgrade is not particularly impactful. Furthermore, in War Offense, Domino will apply an additional -15% Crit Damage to all enemies (up from -10%), resulting in a total reduction of -30% Crit Damage for opponents when the Secret Warrior team is used in War Offense.

Phantom Rider

When Phantom Rider uses the Special ability at maximum level, if the target is already affected by Stun, the duration of all negative effects on that target (excluding Stun and Ability Block) will be extended by 1 turn, up to a maximum of 3 turns. Additionally, the damage dealt by this ability will be increased, making it a solid upgrade. Since Phantom Rider applies Stun to the primary target with his Special, this ensures that negative effects on the target can consistently be prolonged.

When Special Awakened, Phantom Rider’s attack on War Offense ignores Defense Up with this ability. Since his Special targets all opponents, this is a decent upgrade, though not particularly critical.

Maximizing Basic will increase Phantom Rider’s damage with both primary and bonus attacks, while also applying 2 Bleed effects instead of 1. Overall, this is a solid upgrade.

Awakened Basic will provide 30% Drain, allowing Phantom Rider to heal for 30% of the damage dealt with his Basic attack. This upgrade enhances the character’s sustain.

Negasonic

If Negasonic’s Passive ability is maxed, it will increase her Armor by 30% when she has a Barrier, up from the previous 20%. This enhancement not only boosts her survivability but also improves the team’s overall mitigation, as her Passive can grant her Taunt in specific conditions, allowing her to protect the entire squad.

Red Stars and Diamonds

Getting 7 Red Stars on the new character Phantom Rider shouldn’t be complicated, as long as you open Elite Red Star Orbs when he is featured there. Yo-Yo, Domino, Quake, and Negasonic are older characters so plenty of players might have them at high Red Stars already.

You could also get Red Stars for them from the Incursion Campaign:

  • 7 Red Stars for Yo-Yo – Incursion 3-2
  • 6 Red Stars for Domino – Incursion 7-4
  • 7 Red Stars for Quake – Incursion 3-2
  • 6 Red Stars for Negasonic – Incursion 7-4

When the Phantom Rider becomes farmable and free-to-play players are able to collect 7 Yellow/Red Stars for them, we also recommend using Diamonds for him (at least 2 Diamonds).

For the four reworked characters, we also recommend a minimum of 2 Diamonds.

Team Mechanics

The Secret Warrior is a group of covert strike forces assembled by Nick Fury to battle against hidden threats and conspiracies within the Marvel Universe. The Secret Warriors operate outside the jurisdiction of traditional organizations like S.H.I.E.L.D., often taking on missions too dangerous or morally complex for larger groups.

The team is notable for its diverse roster, which includes characters with unique abilities and backgrounds. Some of the prominent members include Daisy Johnson (Quake), a powerful Inhuman with seismic powers, and Yo-Yo Rodriguez (Slingshot), who possesses superhuman speed.

The Secret Warriors were formed during a time of great upheaval in the Marvel Universe, particularly during the “Secret Invasion” storyline, where the Skrulls infiltrated Earth. They later played a critical role in combating Hydra’s deep infiltration of S.H.I.E.L.D., uncovering shocking betrayals and conspiracies. Their missions often blur the lines between heroism and espionage, showcasing the moral dilemmas faced by those operating in the shadows.

The Secret Warriors remain a compelling part of Marvel’s lore, embodying the spirit of rebellion and resilience in the face of overwhelming odds.

Secret Warrior is a group of elite specialists forged for a singular purpose: dismantling top-tier Alliance War Defenses. The team consists of four seasoned S.T.R.I.K.E. operatives who have undergone significant upgrades to excel in modern warfare—Yo-Yo, Quake, Domino, and Negasonic. Joining them is Phantom Rider, a spectral gunslinger whose presence is bound to haunt even the most fortified Helicarriers.

This formidable team is designed to target and eliminate high-priority defenses with precision and efficiency. Their combined skills and enhanced abilities make them a force to be reckoned with, ensuring that only someone with extraordinary psychic prowess, like Xavier, could hope to stand against their relentless assault.

Yo-Yo

Yo-Yo, also known as Elena “Yo-Yo” Rodriguez, is a compelling character from the Marvel Universe. She is a member of the Secret Warriors and possesses superhuman speed as her primary ability. What makes her unique is the limitation tied to her power—she can move at extraordinary speeds but must return to her starting point after each burst of movement, hence the nickname “Yo-Yo.”

Her character is of Puerto Rican descent, reflecting Marvel’s efforts to diversify its roster of superheroes. Yo-Yo is known for her strong sense of justice, loyalty, and dedication to protecting others, traits that make her an invaluable member of any team she joins.

Yo-Yo’s abilities, combined with her unwavering determination, make her a fan-favorite character. She represents the idea that even heroes with limitations can rise above challenges and make a significant impact in the fight for good.

Yo-Yo is a Protector with an exceptionally high Speed stat, making her a very attractive character in the Marvel Strike Force game. She supports her team by applying Safeguard, generating Ability Energy for Phantom Rider ally, and attacking multiple enemies. Unlike traditional Protectors who absorb enemy attacks directly, Yo-Yo protects her team by passively reducing the offensive capabilities of enemies and shortening the duration of their buffs (anti-Safeguard mechanics). However, when Phantom Rider’s health drops below 40%, Yo-Yo automatically gains Taunt, allowing her to shield both Phantom Rider and the rest of her team.

With her Basic, Yo-Yo attacks the primary target for 230% damage while clearing their Counter effect. Additionally, Yo-Yo gains an Assist from a random ally who belongs to either the Inhuman or Secret Warrior faction. Notably, this attack cannot be counterattacked.

Yo-Yo’s Special ability costs 5 Ability Energy, can be used in her first turn, and provides significant benefits in combat. It applies Safeguard to herself and all Secret Warrior allies, ensuring their protection from buffs being removed. Additionally, it delivers a strong attack to the primary target, dealing 170% damage and triggering two bonus attacks at the same damage rate. This sequence of attacks is repeated on three additional random targets, making it a versatile offensive skill. Notably, this attack cannot be counterattacked, adding an extra layer of reliability and potency to the ability.

Ultimate ability requires 5 Ability Energy and becomes available on her second turn. It attacks all enemies, dealing 270% damage. Additionally, it generates 1 Ability Energy for all allies who are either Inhuman or Secret Warrior. On War Offense, it also generates 1 Ability Energy for a random Phantom Rider ally.

Phantom Rider’s ability to use his Ultimate in both first and second turns becomes available because of the Ability Energy he gets from Yo-Yo’s Ultimate. Essentially, Phantom Rider can play his Ultimate during his first turn, and after Yo-Yo activates her Ultimate, he gets the chance to play his Ultimate again in his second turn. This synergy allows Phantom Rider to maximize his impact across consecutive turns.

Passive ability provides significant support and utility for her team, especially in War Offense scenarios. Upon spawning, she grants Defense Up for 2 turns to all allies, enhancing their survivability. In War Offense, she further bolsters herself and all Secret Warrior allies by applying 2 stacks of Evade, which helps them avoid incoming attacks.

During enemy turns, if Yo-Yo is without other Protector allies (and in Secret Warrior team she shurely is), she applies Offense Down to the attacking enemy, reducing their damage output. On War Offense, if the enemy has Safeguard and Yo-Yo is teamed with Secret Warrior allies, she reduces the duration of a random positive effect per Secret Warrior ally (up to 4 effects) by 1 turn. This action is guaranteed as it cannot be dodged. So, when an enemy’s turn comes to play and they have Safeguard, Yo-Yo will reduce the duration of 4 positive effects by 1 (1 for each Secret Warrior ally) before they even attack our team.

On her turn and during turns of ally non-minion S.H.I.E.L.D. or Inhuman characters, there is a 50% chance for Yo-Yo to apply Evade to the active character, further increasing their survivability. Quake is also an Inhuman and an S.H.I.E.L.D. character, so Yo-Yo has a 50% chance to apply Evade to herself and Quake on their turns. Additionally, when an ally’s health drops below 50%, Yo-Yo provides Defense Up for 2 turns to that ally. If the ally is a Secret Warrior, she flips Disrupted into Immunity for them, ensuring they remain protected from debuffs. If Phantom Rider is the ally in distress, Yo-Yo gains Defense Up and Taunt for 2 turns, drawing enemy attention away from Phantom Rider.

Lastly, Yo-Yo benefits from a personal boost with a +25% Dodge chance, making her harder to hit and allowing her to stay active longer in combat scenarios.

Domino

Domino, whose real name is Neena Thurman, is a character known for her unique mutant ability and her role in various superhero teams. Domino’s defining mutant ability is her “luck manipulation.” This power allows her to unconsciously influence probability in her favor, leading to seemingly impossible outcomes working to her advantage. For example, she might dodge bullets, survive dangerous falls, or have events align perfectly to achieve her goals. While this ability might sound abstract, it often manifests in highly practical ways during combat or missions, giving her a significant edge over her opponents.

Neena Thurman has a complex backstory. She was genetically engineered as part of a government program aiming to create the perfect weapon. However, she escaped and eventually found herself working as a mercenary and later aligning with superhero groups like X-Force. Domino is known for her exceptional marksmanship, hand-to-hand combat skills, and tactical brilliance, making her a formidable ally and adversary.

Her personality is as compelling as her abilities. Domino is confident, resourceful, and often displays a dry sense of humor, which adds depth to her character. Despite her tough exterior, she has moments of vulnerability that reveal her humanity and struggles with trust and relationships.

Overall, Domino stands out as a unique and dynamic character in the Marvel Universe, embodying both strength and complexity in her adventures and interactions with other heroes and villains.

Domino is a Controller character in Marvel Strike Force, capable of passively filling her Speed Bar. In War Offense, she enhances the entire Secret Warrior team by providing filling of Speed Bar to everyone, increasing her and Negasonic’s Crit Damage while simultaneously reducing Crit Damage for all opponents. She can apply Disrupted to multiple enemies, preventing them from gaining buffs, and has the ability to remove negative effects from herself and her Secret Warrior allies. Additionally, when an X-Force ally takes their turn, Domino has a high chance to apply Evade to that ally. Within the Secret Warrior team, Negasonic is also an X-Force character, allowing Domino to further boost her mitigation through Evade.

Basic ability deals 210% damage to the primary target and has an additional +50% Crit Chance specifically for this attack. Additionally, this ability triggers an assist from a random ally who belongs to either the X-Force or Secret Warrior team.

Domino’s Special ability (5 Ability Energy cost, can be used on the second turn)highlights her unique synergy with Deadpool and her team’s utility. She can transfer negative effects from herself and X-Force allies to Deadpool, boosting his Speed Bar significantly (80%). Additionally, she deals substantial damage to the most injured enemy and adjacent targets (320% damage), while also clearing 2 negative effects from herself and Secret Warrior allies.

With Ultimate ability (6 Ability Energy cost, can be used on the first turn), Domino deals 310% damage to a primary target and applies the Disrupted status effect. She then Rebound Chain to up to 5 adjacent targets, also dealing 310% damage. However, the rebound chain can be interrupted if dodged. When Domino is teamed with 3 or more Secret Warrior allies, the ability gains additional effects: Disrupted is applied to secondary targets as well, and the attack becomes undodgeable. So, as long as there are at least 3 Secret Warrior allies, Domino will always Rebound Chain to 5 adjacent targets when using her Ultimate.

Passive ability provides various benefits and effects during gameplay. Upon spawning, she fills her Speed Bar by 15%. When an X-Force ally takes their turn, there is a 75% chance that she applies Evade to that ally. Domino gains a 10% Dodge chance, and all X-Force allies receive the same Dodge bonus. Additionally, she increases her own Critical Damage by 20%, extending this bonus to X-Force allies as well. Enemies suffer a 15% reduction in Critical Damage due to her passive.

In War Offense scenarios, Domino’s passive is enhanced further. On spawn, she fills the Speed Bar for herself and all X-Force or Secret Warrior allies by 5% and applies Offense Up. Furthermore, enemies experience an additional 15% reduction in Critical Damage.

Negasonic is both a Secret Warrior and an X-Force character. Therefore, she will receive all of Domino’s passive bonuses that apply to X-Force characters.

Phantom Rider

Originally introduced as the Western hero Ghost Rider, Carter Slade was later renamed Phantom Rider to avoid confusion with the more well-known supernatural Ghost Rider, Johnny Blaze.

Carter Slade is a cowboy and vigilante who operates in the American Old West during the 19th century. Unlike the fiery and demonic Ghost Riders of later stories, Phantom Rider does not possess supernatural powers tied to Hell or vengeance. Instead, he uses his skills as a marksman, his expert horsemanship, and his mysterious phosphorescent white costume to strike fear into outlaws and protect the innocent.

The character’s backstory reveals that Carter Slade was a schoolteacher before he became a masked hero. After being gravely injured in a skirmish with bandits, he was nursed back to health by a Native American tribe. They gifted him with his luminous costume and trained him to become a defender of justice. Riding his white horse, Banshee, Phantom Rider became a legendary figure in the Wild West.

Though Carter Slade is not as prominent as other Marvel heroes, he has appeared in various storylines over the years, often serving as a symbol of justice and courage from a bygone era. His legacy has been passed down through the generations, with other characters occasionally adopting the Phantom Rider mantle.

While not as widely recognized as modern Marvel superheroes, Phantom Rider remains an intriguing part of Marvel’s history, embodying the spirit of Western adventure and heroism.

Phantom Rider is a formidable character in the Secret Warrior squad, equipped with abilities that make him a resilient and strategic ally in battle. His gunbelt provides key advantages, including Revive Once, Death-Proof, Barrier, and Speed Bar manipulation. Notably, Phantom Rider gains a full 100% Speed Bar whenever a Secret Warrior ally falls, ensuring swift retaliation. Additionally, his ability to apply Deathproof to his allies and maintain a steady supply of Revive Once makes this team exceptionally difficult to eliminate. With traits like Hero, City, Mystic, Blaster, and Secret Warrior, Phantom Rider is an essential asset for overcoming War Defense enemies and avenging fallen teammates.

The Phantom Rider’s Basic attack is a powerful ability that deals 300% damage to the primary target while also applying 2 stacks of Bleed. Additionally, if the primary target is already afflicted with Bleed, the ability triggers a Bonus Attack that deals 270% damage. When the Awakened Basic is unlocked, the attack gains an extra +30% Drain, enhancing its effectiveness further.

When using the ISO-8 Counter Attack/Assists, the Phantom Rider will attack the primary target for 270% damage and apply 2 Bleed effects. Upon unlocking the Awakened Ability, the attack also gains an additional 30% Drain.

Special is a powerful ability with an energy cost of 8 out of 10. Which means it can be used in his second turn. It flips Immunity to Disrupted on the primary target and applies Stun. The attack deals 375% damage to the primary target and all enemies in that character’s row while also applying Trauma. If a target is already Stunned, the duration of all negative effects (excluding Stun and Ability Block) on that target is prolonged by 1 turn, up to a maximum of 3 turns.

Additionally, if this ability results in a kill, it triggers a follow-up attack on the most injured enemy for 350% damage.

On War Offense:
– If Phantom Rider has 3 or more Secret Warrior allies, Stun is applied to both the primary target and all enemies in that character’s row.
– This attack becomes Unavoidable and cannot be blocked.

Awakened Special:
– On War Offense, the attack will ignore Defense Up, making it even more effective against protected targets.

Ultimate is an ability with an energy cost of 3, and Phantom Rider can use it on his first turn. It targets primary and adjacent enemies, dealing 425% damage while applying Heal Block and Trauma for 2 turns. On War Offense, the ability gains additional effects: it clears 2 random positive effects from each target.

When Awakened, Ultimate enhances further by copying 2 random positive effects (excluding Taunt) from each target to itself, flipping 2 random positive effects on each target, and clearing all Battlefield Effects on the enemy side.

If Phantom Rider has 3 or more Secret Warrior allies, it flips Exhausted to Offense Up for itself and all Secret Warrior allies. Characters defeated by this attack cannot be revived, and the attack is both Unavoidable and unblockable.

Passive offers a range of powerful effects and interactions, particularly in War Offense scenarios. Upon spawning, Phantom Rider gains a Revive Once effect, ensuring survivability. On turn, he will attack all enemies with significant damage (325%) while clearing Charged effects and reducing the duration of three random positive effects by 1.

When the Awakened Passive is active, clearing Charged effects heals Phantom Rider for 10% of their Max Health.

Additional benefits are triggered upon enemy deaths. If a non-summoned enemy dies, Phantom Rider regains Revive Once. If a Secret Warrior ally dies, Phantom Rider flips Disrupted on himself, gains Offense Up for 2 turns, and during War Offense fills his Speed Bar by 100%.

When Phantom Rider revives, he clears all negative effects from himself and Secret Warrior allies, applies 2 Deathproof and Speed Up for 1 turn, and provides a Barrier to himself and allies worth 25% of his Max Health. In War Offense, he revives with 100% Max Health.

While possessing Revive Once:

  • Phantom Rider gains 25% Dodge Chance and an immense 3000% Focus.
  • In War Offense with three or more Secret Warrior allies, enemies are prevented from filling their Speed Bar, gaining Deflect, Counterattack, or Evade.
  • Additionally, on War Offense, Phantom Rider’s Passive Revive Chance cannot be reduced or prevented. This means that Phantom Rider has the ability to revive even if killed by attacks that typically prevent resurrection. Additionally, certain passive abilities that block “Revive Once” effects will not work on Phantom Rider. However, characters like Hit-Monkey or Mephisto, who can reduce revive chances, will still be effective against Phantom Rider.

Those abilities make Phantom Rider a formidable presence in combat, especially within War Offense and teams featuring Secret Warrior allies.

Quake

Quake, whose real name is Daisy Johnson, is a compelling and powerful character. She is a superhero and an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., known for her seismic abilities that allow her to generate powerful vibrations and earthquakes. Daisy is the daughter of Calvin Zabo, also known as Mister Hyde, which gives her a unique genetic makeup tied to her powers.

As a skilled operative of S.H.I.E.L.D., Daisy is highly trained in combat and espionage, making her a formidable ally in missions requiring both brains and brawn. Her abilities are not just limited to creating tremors; she can precisely control vibrations to disarm enemies, break through barriers, or even manipulate objects without causing collateral damage.

Quake has been a member of several notable teams in the Marvel Universe, including the Secret Warriors and the Avengers. Her leadership skills and loyalty make her an essential part of any group she joins. Whether in comics or on-screen, Daisy Johnson as Quake remains a fan-favorite character due to her strength, complexity, and unwavering determination to fight for justice.

Quake is a Controller capable of applying Slow to multiple enemies, removing positive effects and Barrier from opponents, and applying Ability Block to several targets. Additionally, she can cleanse negative effects from her Secret Warrior allies, attack enemies passively while applying Heal Block, and provide a passive Focus boost to her entire team. In War Offense, Quake grants crucial buffs to the Secret Warrior team upon spawning: Immunity and Safeguard. These buffs make her team highly resistant to negative effects and prevent opponents from removing their positive effects, making them exceptionally challenging to counter.

Basic deals 280% damage to the primary target and adjacent targets, while also applying the Slow status effect for 2 turns. The ability is fairly simple but effective, as it can apply Slow to multiple targets.

Iso – 8/ Counter Attack / Assists: Attacks the primary and adjacent targets, dealing 210% damage to each. Additionally, it applies the Slow effect for 2 turns, reducing their speed and action frequency. This is excellent because even with a follow-up attack, Assist, or Counter attack, Quake is capable of applying Slow to multiple enemies.

Special (cost 3 Ability Energy and can be used in the first turn) allows her to attack the primary target for 240% damage, clear 2 positive effects, and apply Disrupted. She can also chain up to 2 additional targets for 240% damage each, clearing 2 positive effects from them as well. If Coulson, Yo-Yo, or Phantom Rider is an ally, she applies Slow to both the primary and secondary targets. Note that counterattacks can break this chain. This ability is particularly effective for removing buffs and applying Slow to multiple enemies.

Quake’s Ultimate is a powerful tool in battle, costing 5 Ability Energy and becoming available on her third turn. It clears the Barrier from all enemies and deals 320% damage to all of them. When used in War Offense and if Quake has at least 3 Secret Warrior allies, the ability also applies Ability Block to the primary target and adjacent enemies, while gaining a massive +500% Extra Focus to ensure the attack’s effectiveness.

Quake’s Passive:

Trigger Conditions:

  • When a Secret Warrior ally’s health drops below 40%, Quake clears 3 random negative effects on that ally.
  • At the end of a Secret Warrior ally’s turn, Quake attacks the most injured enemy for 150% damage and applies +1 Heal Block, up to a maximum of 3.

Focus Boost:

  • Quake gains +100% Focus.
  • Secret Warrior and S.H.I.E.L.D. allies also gain +100% Focus.

War Offense Bonuses (if Quake has 3 or more Secret Warrior allies):

  • On Spawn, apply Immunity and Safeguard to herself and all Secret Warrior allies.
  • On Spawn, generate 2 Ability Energy for herself.
  • Lower Crit Damage by 100% for all enemies afflicted with Ability Block.

Quake’s Passive ability significantly enhances the Secret Warrior team’s effectiveness in War Offense. Her ability to apply Immunity and Safeguard on spawn ensures that the team starts in a strong defensive position, making them resistant to debuffs and status effects. Combined with her passive’s focus boost and the additional buffs provided by other Secret Warrior allies—such as Defense Up, Offense Up, Evade, and Barrier—the team becomes an exceptionally durable and offensive powerhouse in War Offense scenarios. This synergy makes the Secret Warrior team a formidable choice for dismantling enemy defenses.

Additionally, the generation of 2 Ability Energy allows Quake to use her Ultimate ability on her first turn, maximizing her impact early in the battle. Her Ultimate is particularly powerful, as it deals damage to all enemies, removes all Barriers from them, and applies Ability Block to several targets, effectively disrupting the opposing team’s strategy.

Negasonic

Negasonic is a mutant with extraordinary powers, which have varied over time depending on the storyline. Initially, she was portrayed with telepathic abilities and precognitive visions, but later adaptations reimagined her with explosive energy manipulation.

Negasonic’s story is intertwined with the X-Men and other mutant teams. Her name itself is inspired by the song “Negasonic Teenage Warhead” by Monster Magnet, reflecting her edgy and unconventional persona. Despite her relatively limited appearances in the comics compared to other Marvel characters, she has left a lasting impression due to her distinctive style and powers.

Negasonic Teenage Warhead represents a new generation of mutants, embodying a fresh and modern take on superhero characters. Whether in the pages of Marvel Comics or on the big screen, she continues to captivate fans with her explosive abilities and sharp personality.

Negasonic is a Blaster capable of removing positive effects from enemies, applying Heal Block to them, and most importantly, reducing the duration of all positive effects in War Offense while clearing negative effects from her team. She also passively protects her team with Barrier and can get Taunt when Phantom Rider drops below 40% Health. Despite having a notably low Speed stat, Negasonic can passively fill her Speed Bar whenever an enemy takes a turn and also on Spawn during War Offense, making her practically faster than she initially appears.

Basic deals 340% damage to the primary target and applies Bleed. On War Offense, if Phantom Rider is an ally, the attack gains an additional 50% damage. For Iso – 8, Counter Attack, or Assists, the attack deals 255% damage to the primary target and applies Bleed, with the same War Offense bonus when Phantom Rider is an ally.

Negasonic attacks primary and adjacent targets for 300% damage + clear all positive effects from each target with her Special (cost 5 Ability Energy, can be used on second turn). On War Offense, if Phantom Rider is an ally, this attack does an additional 50% Damage. This attack cannot be blocked and is a useful way to remove buffs from several opponents.

Negasonic’s Ultimate is a hard-hitting move that blasts all enemies for 360% damage and applies Heal Block for 2 turns, cutting off their options for recovery.

When used in War Offense, this ability gets even more powerful:

  • If Phantom Rider is on the team, the attack deals an extra 50% damage, turning up the pressure on your opponents.
  • It strips away Defense Up from every enemy, leaving them vulnerable.
  • And if Negasonic is fighting alongside at least 3 Secret Warrior allies, she’ll reduce the duration of all positive effects on every enemy by 2, plus cleanse 2 random negative effects from herself and all her Secret Warrior teammates.

Ultimate costs 6 Ability Energy, and you can unleash it on the very first turn for an immediate impact.

Negasonic’s Passive:

On Spawn:

  • Negasonic instantly grants Barrier to herself and all Secret Warrior allies, equal to 25% of her Max Health, giving the team a solid protective shield right from the start.
  • On War Offense, she gets a speed boost—filling her Speed Bar by 10%, plus an extra 5% for every X-Force or Secret Warrior ally on the team. This means she can act faster and turn the tide early.

On Enemy Turn:

  • Every time an enemy takes a turn, Negasonic barriers herself for 10% of her Max Health and gains another 10% to her Speed Bar. This keeps her protected and ready to strike back.

On Dodge:

  • If any Secret Warrior ally dodges an attack, Negasonic immediately barriers that ally for 10% of her Max Health, ensuring the team stays shielded even when enemies miss their shots.

Phantom Rider Synergy:

  • When Phantom Rider’s health drops below 40%, Negasonic barriers herself for 15% of her Max Health and taunts enemies for 2 turns, forcing them to target her and protect her team.

Bonus Armor:

  • As long as Negasonic has any Barrier, she gains an extra 30% Armor, making her even tougher to bring down.

This passive makes Negasonic a protector and disruptor, letting her support her allies, absorb hits, and control the flow of battle—especially in War Offense.

Combat Tips & Tricks

The Secret Warriors are a unique team, mostly composed of reworked characters, designed to be a true powerhouse on Alliance War offense. In War, they excel against any opponent that relies on Speed Bar increases, as they can completely shut those strategies down. Likewise, they have the upper hand against teams that can’t prevent their enemies from boosting Speed Bars, since the Warriors themselves depend heavily on Speed Bar manipulation. This makes the Secret Warriors a top-tier counter to some of the toughest defenses in Alliance War—perfect for players who want to outmaneuver even the most challenging rivals.

The ideal Secret Warrior battle sequence in Alliance War starts with Yo-Yo, thanks to her incredible speed. She goes first, and it’s crucial to open with her Special – since her Ultimate isn’t available until the second turn. Using her Special right away applies Safeguard to the entire team, giving your squad a strong defensive start. They have Safeguard on Spawn, but it’s just for 1 turn.

Next up is Phantom Rider, who should unleash his Ultimate immediately. This move is especially powerful in War Offense, particularly against Mephisto. It removes the Battlefield Effect from the enemy side and flips Exhausted (which Mephisto applies to your team) into Offense Up, turning a disadvantage into a big advantage.

Then it’s Quake’s turn: in War Offense, she can also use her Ultimate on the first turn, applying Ability Block to several enemies and helping to clear barriers. Domino follows and uses her Ultimate, bringing more firepower to your opening. Maybe she will play before Quake, but that depends on whether enemy characters can block your Speed Bar increase or not.

Negasonic will likely act earlier compared to her Speed – unless the enemy manages to block your team’s Speed Bar increases. Her Ultimate should be used as soon as possible to reduce the duration of all positive effects on every enemy by 2 turns, stripping away their advantages.

After this powerful opening, Yo-Yo can use her Ultimate, providing Ability Energy to the whole team. In War Offense, this also gives extra Ability Energy to Phantom Rider, allowing him to choose between his Special or Ultimate on his second turn, depending on what the situation demands.

This sequence takes full advantage of the Secret Warriors’ strengths in War Offense, letting them disrupt enemy teams, remove buffs, and keep the upper hand from the very first turn.

All in all, if you’re a fan of the Alliance War game mode, investing your resources in this team is a must. With the Secret Warriors as an additional offensive option, your War experience will be significantly improved. For those who aren’t as interested in Alliance War, this team is skippable – but certain characters, like Yo-Yo, can still be incredibly useful in other game modes.
