Iso-8

Ironheart is a controller, and she can apply a lot of Negative Effects, so she will benefit from having increased Focus that the Skirmisher Class offers.

T4 Priority

U – Ultimate ability

P – Passive ability

S – Special ability

B – Basic ability

Ultimate – slightly increases the damage, applies Stun on the primary target for 2 turns(instead of 1), and in Raids will apply additional Stun to a random enemy that does not have Stun. Great controlling ability so enhancing that is a priority.

Special – slightly increases the damage and In Raids, it will apply Trauma for 2 turns(instead of 1).

Passive – will increase the Armor for self and all P.E.G.A.S.U.S. by +15%, and will apply Disrupted for 2 turns(instead of 1) to an enemy that falls below 50% Health

Theory Craft

A gifted engineering student obsessed with producing her own version of the Iron Man suit, Riri Williams became a guest of the Wakandans after meeting Okoye and Shuri during the events of Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. With Shuri’s aid and access to advanced machine fabrication technology, Riri was able to complete the Mark II version of her Ironheart power armor just in time to aid in the counterattack and ambush of Namor and the Talokanil from aboard the Wakandan transport ship Sea Leopard.

Ironheart (MKII) assumes the role of the P.E.G.A.S.U.S. team’s Controller. Her kit includes some modest defensive capabilities that extend to her team and allies, but this version of Ironheart benefits from high focus and damage stats as well as a kit that emphasizes her role controlling enemies by applying a powerful array of debuffs including Trauma, Stun, Slow, and Disrupted.

Basic – Mark II Repulsors

Basic Ability attacks the primary target and applies Defense Down for 2 turns. It will also apply +1 Vulnerable (up to a maximum of 3) and prolong the duration of all Negative Effects by +1 (excluding Ability Block and Stun)

In Raids, if she has 4 or more P.E.G.A.S.U.S. allies she also gains Immunity.

This attack cannot be counterattacked.

ISO – 8/Counter Attack/Assists

All the same effects as the Basic attack, with slightly less damage.

Special – Overdrive Blast

Energy Cost: 3/3

Special ability will attack the primary and adjacent targets and apply Defense Down for 2 turns. After that, it will apply Slow to all enemies. This attack cannot be counterattacked.

In Raids, this will also:

Apply Trauma for 2 turns to primary and adjacent targets and apply Immunity to self and all P.E.G.A.S.U.S. allies.

Slowing down all your enemies from the start is a good ability, she will often start the battle with this skill. Although in Raids you will have a choice between this and her Ultimate.

Ultimate – Engineered Salvo

Energy Cost: 3/5

Ultimate will attack all enemies for a moderate amount of Damage, clear 2 random Positive Effects, apply stun to the primary target and Slow for 2 turns to all enemies. Then it will apply Immunity for 2 turns to self and all P.E.G.A.S.U.S. allies.

This attack cannot be counterattacked.

In Raids, it will also:

  • Apply Stun to an additional random enemy that does not have Stun.
  • If this character has 4 or more P.E.G.A.S.U.S. allies, apply Stun to an additional random enemy that does not have Stun.
  • Prolong the duration of all positive effects on self and all P.E.G.A.S.U.S. allies by +1, up to a maximum of 5.
  • This attack gains +50% Extra Focus for each enemy with Vulnerable.

A stunning ability that can immobilize 3 targets at once(in Raids) and has a relatively short cooldown for an Ultimate. When used with a full P.E.G.A.S.U.S. team in Raids, Ironheart will gain Ability Energy from her Passive, which will allow her to open the fight with this attack.

Passive – Heart of Iron

On Spawn, apply +2 Deflect to self and all P.E.G.A.S.U.S. allies. When an enemy drops below 50% health, apply Disrupted for 2 turns to that enemy. Gain +30% Armor. P.E.G.A.S.U.S. allies gain +30% armor.

In RAIDS:

  • On Spawn, fill Speed Bar for all P.E.G.A.S.U.S. allies by 15% + 15% per P.E.G.A.S.U.S. ally.
  • On Spawn, if this character has 4 or more P.E.G.A.S.U.S. allies, generate 2 Ability Energy for each P.E.G.A.S.U.S. ally.
  • Gain an additional +30% Armor.
  • P.E.G.A.S.U.S. allies gain an additional +30% Armor.
  • Lower Armor by 30% for all enemies with Vulnerable.

Conclusion

Some of the P.E.G.A.S.U.S. team members, like Iron Man and Darkhawk, are pretty slow and are at risk of being a nuisance, especially in high-end Raids, but with the help of Ironheart’s Passive ability, which substantially fills the Speed Bar for her allies that risk is nullified.

Another big thing that Ironheart can do is apply Trauma, which she can then prolong with her Basic attacks. Unfortunately, she can’t prolong Stun, but she can apply it to 3 targets as soon as the fight starts and the cooldown is pretty manageable, so with the bonus energy that Darkhawk will supply, she will be able to use her Ultimate and Stun enemies quite often.
