Iso-8

One of the main benefits that Gwenom provides to her Hive-Mind team is the Ability Energy generation, and since she can do that with her Basic attack, including her Iso-8 follow-up attack, having Striker on her is the best option.

T4 Priority

P – Passive ability

S – Special ability

U – Ultimate ability

B – Basic ability

Passive – is fairly simple, it will just apply 2 Evade to a Hive-Mind character once they drop below 50% Max Health. While it’s not much this will sustain them long enough for them to be able to heal back up so it is an important upgrade.

Special – Special Ability will now apply Stun for 2 turns, which is always a good upgrade, and it will also spread all of her Positive effects to her Hive-Mind allies, instead of 3.

Ultimate – Ultimate will apply Barrier to self and all Hive-Mind and Spider-Verse allies, and will also increase the damage a little. It is on a relatively short cooldown so Gwenom might end up using it often wich will increase the defense of her team so having this maxed out will only do you good, but if you don’t have spare T4 ability materiels this is not a priority.

Basic – will clear all Barrier on primary and adjacent targets. Some enemies might use Barrier fairly often and in some cases that Barrier can offer a huge amount of Protection, especially if the enemy is unusually boosted like it can happen in Raids and Dark Dimension, being able to clear all Barrier with a Basic ability is powerful, but situational. Upgrade only if you have spare T4 ability materials.

Theory Craft

Fueled by alien power, Gwen Stacy bonded with the Venom symbiote to become Gwenom, who uses deadly precision to lash out at her foes.

Gwenom is the supportive brawler of the Hive-Mind team, but her main highlight is the she can generate energy for Hive-Mind with all of her active Abilities, which makes her very valuable for the team. Aside from that she can also provide some support by Healing Symbiote allies by 5% per turn, applying Evades and Barrier to them, among other Positive Effects.

Basic – Savage Web

This is a very potent Basic Ability, it will attack primary and adjacent targets for damage, flip 2 Positive effects into Negative, and apply Defense Down. She will also apply 2 Bleed to the Primary Target. If maxed out, this will also clear all Barrier on primary and adjacent targets.

In Raids, this will also generate 1 Ability Energy for all Hive-Mind allies.

Iso-8, Counterattack, Assist

Will attack the primary target for slightly less damage than Basic, flip 2 Positive effects into Negative and apply Defense Down and 2 Bleed.

In Raids, generate 1 Ability Energy for all Hive-Mind allies

The main downside is that this won’t clear all Barrier, but other than that this is a very good follow-up attack.

Special – Tongue Twister

Energy Cost: 4/4

First, Gwenom will gain the opposite of all Negative effects on the primary target (excluding Bleed) Then she will attack the primary target and apply Stun to them for 2 turns, while also dealing damage to adjacent targets.

After that, she will generate 1 Ability Energy for all Hive-Mind allies.

In raids, she will also spread all Positive effects (excluding Stealth, Taunt, and Regeneration) from self to all Hive-Mind allies.

A very strong ability that can Stun for 2 turns and is on a short cooldown, by the time the enemy clears Stun you will be able to apply it again in most cases. Other than that, she will also Spread a lot of Positive effects to all her Hive-Mind allies if you picked the right target.

Ultimate – Symbiotic Fury

Energy Cost: 3/5

This will Clear all Barrier from all targets. Thenm she will Barrier herself and all Hive-Mind and Spider-Verse allies for 15% of her Max Health.

After that Gwenom will attack all enemies for damage and will apply Offense Down to them for 2 turns. Then she will apply Offense Up, and Defense Up to all Hive-Mind and Spider-Verse allies.

In Raids, this will also apply Stun to the enemy with the highest Damage(ignoring Stealth and taunt) and will Generate 1 Ability Energy to all Hive-Mind allies.

Overall this is a good Ultimate that hits all targets and also powers up her own team, in Raids it is even better since it adds a Stun and Energy generation to this. Considering that this has a fairly short cooldown for such an ability in Raids you will end up using it quite often.

Passive – Symbiote Ghost

On turn, Gwenom will heal all Symbiote characters for 5% of her own Max Health. And whenever a Hive-Mind ally drops below 50% Max Health she will apply 2 Evades to that character.

When Gwenom’s Health is above 50%, she gains +15% Dodge Chance.
When her Health is below 50%, she instead gains +30% Drain.

She also Passively increases her and Hive-Mind’s Focus by +60%.

Conclusion

Gwenom’s Health and Damage stats are both pretty high, so she will be able to not only deal a lot of damage but also provide a decent amount of sustain with her Barrier, energy generation, her small heals on each turn, and the Positive effects that she can spread. Alongside all of that, she has great control of the field since she can Stun targets with both Special and Ultimate. Granted, Stun from her Ultimate attack works only in Raids but her Special can Stun for 2 turns and she has a very low cooldown which can allow her to Stun the same target again before that target even clears the first Stun. Her Speed is also very decent which makes her a great candidate for Dark Dimensions.
