Iso-8
Nimrod is mostly a damage-dealing character and he can perform his task fairly well, his kit provides him with some bonuses to the Crit Damage and Crit Chance and it would be best to further improve that by providing him with the Raider Iso-8 Class.
Striker can also be a good choice, but all of Nimrod’s abilities hit multiple targets so his damage output will be higher as a Raider.
T4 Priority
P – Passive ability
S – Special ability
U – Ultimate ability
B – Basic ability
Passive – will allow Nimrod to lower the dodge chance of all enemies by 100%, but only in Raids and when he has 4 Orchis allies. Tech nodes of Orchis raids feature a lot of characters with Evades and Dodges, so this ability will allow you to clear those nodes much more easily.
Special – will flip all positive effects on each target (instead of 3 positive effects), will apply Ability Block for 2 turns (instead of 1), and will apply Ability Block to all mutants (but only in Raids). This is an invaluable upgrade for Raids as Orchis Tech nodes feature a lot of Mutant enemies, but even outside of Raids having this upgrade will be immensely helpful as flipping all positive effects and Ability Blocking one enemy for 2 turns can be a turning point or a key to victory.
Ultimate – will increase the damage of the attack and will provide a 100% Crit Chance. While this doesn’t seem like an essential upgrade, it’s definitely an upgrade worth having, especially if we equip Nimrod with the Raider class and use his Ultimate while he has Stealth, the damage output, in that case, will be impressive.
Basic – will apply Defense Down for 2 turns (instead of 1) and will increase the damage slightly. It can be a good one but since Nimrod’s Special is on a very low cooldown he won’t be using his Basic as much, so he doesn’t need the Basic T4 upgrade.

Theory-Craft
In a dystopian future timeline where Sentinels rule North America, Nimrod was designed to be the ultimate Mutant hunter. It possessed superior strength, near-invincible durability, and a sophisticated AI that could analyze and counteract mutant powers in real-time. Its relentless pursuit and near-unstoppable power forced the remaining Mutants into hiding, turning every encounter into a desperate fight for survival.
Nimrod is a mutant-hating, damage-dealing Blaster. He can drastically increase his Speed when he has Tech Minion allies, and the same effect can apply to his Orchis team in Raids. He can control the battle by constantly applying Heal Blocks to his enemies, his special attack will also apply Ability Block to all mutants (only in Raids), and his damage output is one of the best in the game (at the time of his release)
Basic – Hunter’s Beam
This ability will hit the primary and adjacent targets for damage and will apply Defense Down to them. This attack is unavoidable.
Having an unavoidable Basic attack can be very useful since you can always deal at least some damage and don’t have to completely waste your turn even if Blinded, Ability Blocked, etc.
Safety Attack (Iso-8/Assist/Counterattack)
Works nearly identically to the Basic, with the only exception that the damage will be slightly lower and will hit only the primary target. This is also unavoidable.
Special – Future Blitz
Energy Cost – 3/3
This attack will hit all enemies dealing piercing damage and flipping all of their positive effects into negative. It will also apply Ability Block for 2 turns to the primary target. The damage of the attack is increased by +25% for each Sentinel Reinforcement ally.
This attack cannot be dodged.
In Raids, this will also apply Stun to the primary target and Ability Block to all Mutants.
An incredible ability for Raids that will provide a ton of control since the cooldown is so short and Nimrod will have increased Speed, he can essentially use this ability again before most enemies finish their first turn. Outside of raids this will also provide a lot of value by flipping all positive effects and having a 2 turn Ability Block on a short cooldown will also prove usefull.
Ultimate – Eradicate
Energy Cost – 3/5
This ability will hit the primary and adjacent targets, and apply Defense Down and Disrupted (both for 2 turns) to them. If Nimrod has 3 or more Orchis allies, he will also apply Trauma for 2 turns to the primary and adjacent targets.
This attack is Unavoidable and gains +100% Crit Chance.
Nimrod can normally use this ability on his second turn, although in Raids he will often be able to use this first as well. A great thing about this is that it can still apply Trauma even outside of Raids, although Nimrod will need at least 3 orchis allies. But Sentinel’s minions share the Orchis trait so it should be possible to apply Trauma even if you only use Sentinel and Nimrod, as long as there are at least 2 Sentinel minions on the field. Because of the increased Crit chance, it’s better to have Nimrod as a Raider and to use this ability while he has Stealth, then the damage output can reach his max potential.
Passive – Sentient Sentinel
On Kill, Nimrod will slip into Stealth. This is a great way for him to prepare before using his Ultimate ability, because while he is in Stealth, he gains +30% Damage and +30% Crit Damage.
Nimrod can gain +10% Speed for each summoned Tech ally up to a maximum of +50% Speed. So his natural Speed can increase from 120 to 180. A great thing about this passive is that he doesn’t rely on his Orchis team. Sentinel can be useful since he will summon a lot of Tech minions, but other characters can be an even better fit if we use Nimrod as a plug-and-play. Mysterio summons 3 Tech minions on Spawn, making him better than Sentinel on Spawn. As a backup option we can also use Doctor Doom, Ultron, or even Yondu since they all can summon Tech minions.
In Raids, Nimrod provides the same passive Speed increase to his Orchis team. Whenever he or an Orchis character hits an enemy, that enemy will gain Heal Block. And hitting the enemy won’t be a big issue because if Nimrod has 4 or more Orchis allies, enemies will have their Dodge Chance lowered by 100%, meaning that even Evades will not function.
Conclusion
Nimrod is a great example of a strong character that maintains a good balance of being invaluable in the game mode he’s made for (Raids) and can be a standout option for plug-and-play uses in other game modes. His incredible Passive Speed increase can outmaneuver some of the Speed Bar manipulations other characters have and this just might give you an edge in most of the battles since he can be the first one to take a turn because of that and his Special will be able to apply Ability Block for 2 turns and flip all positive effects on all enemies. A start like that can often be the first step towards the win. Granted, to get that effect we will need to use someone like Mysterio with Nimrod.
But there are other options, which can also work although to a lesser degree. But having options is always a good thing. Nimrod will be a great addition to the rosters of all Commanders!
