Iso-8
All of Red Goblin’s attacks can hit multiple targets which makes Raider a desired class for him. Alternatively, Striker can also be a decent option since it will increase the amount of Regeneration that he will apply.
T4 Priority
S – Special ability
U – Ultimate ability
P – Passive ability
B – Basic ability
Special – will apply the Trauma in Raids to 2 turns (instead of 1) and will heal self and all allies for 30% of his Max Health.
Ultimate – will transfer 5 negative effects from each ally (instead of 2) to himself and then will copy 5(instead of 2) negative effects from himself and apply them to all enemies. Improving this ability will allow for much more control of the fights so it is an important one to have.
Passive – is fairly simple, it will just apply Deflect (up to 5 max) to all Hive-Mind characters when an enemy takes damage from Bleed. Considering that Hive-Mind will apply a ton of negative effects including Bleed this ability can allow your team to always have a bunch of Deflects active which will greatly increase their survivability.
Basic – will slightly increase the damage and will apply 2 regeneration to the most injured Hive-Mind ally (instead of 1) Not essential, but can be good for your team.

Theory Craft
When Spider-Man depowered Norman Osborn with a Goblin Serum antidote, the antidote also prevented Norman from using the Goblin Formula to restore his powers. Desperate to regain his powers, Osborn obtained the Carnage Symbiote and bonded with it. The blood-thirsty symbiote expelled the Goblin Serum antidote, allowing Osborn to regain his powers – merging Green Goblin with Carnage to become the Red Goblin.
Red Goblin is a unique Protector that will keep applying Taunt to the ally with the highest Health and once that ally drops below 50% Health he will apply Safeguard and Deathproof to them and reapply Taunt to the next highest Health Hive-Mind ally. His Passive also allows him to Revive a fallen Hive-mind character once and his attacks can deal gigantic damage if timed right.
Basic – Goblin Assault
Will attack the primary and adjacent targets, dealing damage and applying 2 Bleed to them.
It will also apply 2 Regeneration to himself and the most-injured Hive-Mind ally
Iso-8/Counterattack/Assist
Identical to the Basic, just dealing slightly less damage and only to one target.
Special – Slash n’Burn
Energy Cost: 5/5
First, he will attack the primary and adjacent targets for damage and will apply Defense Down for 2 turns and 2 Bleed. Then it will clear all negative effects from self, Heal self, and all allies for 30% of his Max Health, and will apply 2 Regeneration to all Hive-Mind allies.
In Raids, it will also apply Trauma to the primary and adjacent targets.
A great supporting ability that can also be used effectively in other game modes and with other teams since the Healing and Cleanse are not limited to Hive-Mind
Ultimate – Out For Blood
Energy Cost: 4/4
If Red Goblin doesn’t have Trauma, he will transfer 5 negative effects from each Hive-Mind ally to self, excluding Stun.
In Raids, he will then copy 5 negative effects from self and will apply them to all enemies.
After that, he will clear all negative effects from himself and will heal for 15% of his Max Health +5% for each effect cleared.
After that, he will attack all enemies for high damage and will apply Slow to them for 2 turns. This attack also gains +125% bonus damage per positive effect on himself.
Then he will apply 2 Regeneration to all Symbiote allies.
In Raids, this will also prolong the duration of all negative effects by +1.
This is an incredible Ultimate that can change the course of the battle in an instant. Not only will it cleanse all your allies and heal yourself immensely, it will then debuff all enemies essentially sending their own negative effects back at them. On top of that, this ability has a chance to deal colossus damage if timed right. Both this and Special are available turn 1 but it does make sense to wait until you have more positive effects until you use this.
Passive – Scarlet Shredder
On Spawn:
- Gain Charged.
- Apply Defense Up for 2 turns and 2 Deflect to self and all Hve-Mind allies.
- In Raids, apply Taunt for 2 turns to the highest Health Hive-Mind ally.
On Turn:
- Heal for 20% of this character’s Max Health.
- Apply 2 Deflect and Taunt for 2 turns to the highest Health Hive-Mind ally.
- If Charged, Revive 1 dead Symbiote ally with 60% Max Health, then lose Charged.
When Red Goblin or a Hive-Mind ally drops below 50% Max Health, if that character has Taunt clear the Taunt and apply Safeguard and 2 Deathproof, then fill Red Goblin’s Speed Bar by 30%. On Death of a Hive-Mind ally, fill Red Goblin’s Speed Bar by 25%.
Out of the gate, Red Goblin will apply Taunt to an ally once the battle starts (in Raids only). This and the fact that he will be reapplying Taunt to the highest Health on his every turn should provide enough protection for your weaker allies. Usually, Taunt will be applied to void Knight or Venom. And if an ally dies, Red Goblin will gain some Speed Bar which will allow him to take his turn sooner and Revive that ally. The only issue is that this Revive will work just once.
Red Goblin will also passively apply Deflect to his Hive-Mind allies every time an enemy takes damage from Bleed (up to 5 Deflects max). He also increases the damage of Hive-Mind allies by +60% and the Block Chance by +25%.
Conclusion
Red Goblin will fill the missing slot of the Hive-Mind team, the slot that Super Skrull occupied until now. While he has some big shoes to fill he seems to be up to the task, his utility will serve Hive-Mind much better than Skrull ever did, and his Damage while not the same, can end up being pretty close, given that you have enough stars on him.
Red Goblin also seems like he could be good for Dark Dimensions, especially if you’re considering taking other Hive-Mind or Symbiote characters.
