Iso-8

Professor X causes nothing but damage with Iso-8, Counter Attack, and Assist attacks, making the Striker class unsuitable for him. Any other Iso-8 class may work, but in terms of pure damage potential, he should be assigned a Raider.

Given that he has the strongest stats in the game, the Skirmisher class is likely unnecessary for him. On the other hand, the Healer and Fortifier classes would definitely be useful in many situations. The Healer class would enhance his healing abilities for himself and his team, while the Fortifier class would provide him with excellent self-sustain.

T4 Priority

P – Passive ability

U – Ultimate ability

S – Special ability

B – Basic ability

Passive – Mind-controlled characters will now deal +50% damage (increased from +20%), and their attacks will also reduce the target’s maximum health by the same amount of damage dealt. This change greatly contributes to the mutual destruction of opponents, as they will inflict more damage on each other, and all damage done will be unhealable because it lowers each other’s maximum health.

Ultimate – This is a clean damage upgrade but includes a critical addition that lowers the maximum health of opponents based on the damage inflicted. Essentially, the damage caused by Professor X with his Ultimate cannot be healed.

Special – If Professor X does not have two or more Exhausted effects, he will remove one Exhausted and one Exposed effect from himself and all allies. Additionally, he will mind control the two characters with the highest damage—regardless of whether they are allies or enemies—to attack the primary target for +100% more damage. This attack will again reduce the target’s maximum health by the same amount of damage dealt. This upgrade is excellent for buffing your team, as clearing Exposed and Exhausted effects can be crucial. However, it also significantly enhances Professor Xavier’s offensive potential. At Level 6, he inflicts no damage with his Special ability, but at Max Level (7), he will indirectly deal considerable unhealable damage to the primary target through mind-controlled characters.

Basic – Deals more damage, and if the primary target is Disrupted, the opponent will receive Blind. Additionally, if Professor Xavier is under Ability Block, the primary target’s Speed Bar will be reduced by 60%. This significant upgrade allows Professor X to apply Blind to an opponent he attacks with a Basic attack—especially effective if the primary target has Immunity, as it will be flipped to Disrupted which further means that the target is definitely blinded—thus reducing that opponent’s offensive potential. Alternatively, he can reduce the Speed Bar, making it impossible for the target to take action soon.

About Character

Charles Xavier, born with one of the most powerful mutant minds on Earth, discovered his extraordinary telepathic abilities at a young age. This gift allowed him to read, influence, and control the thoughts of others. Driven by a vision of peace between humans and mutants, Xavier founded the X-Men and dedicated his life to protecting mutant-kind while advocating for coexistence. However, as hostility toward mutants escalated, he abandoned his old dreams and forged a new path: uniting mutant-kind under the sovereign nation of Krakoa, where he now leads with a bold and unwavering strategy for their survival.

In Marvel Strike Force, Professor Xavier enters the battlefield as an omega-level Controller, using his devastating psychic mastery to bend the tide of battle to his will. He doesn’t just confront his enemies; he outthinks them. He sweeps away negative effects, breaks their will with relentless attacks, and even erases Battlefield Effects with the sheer power of his mind.

Xavier’s telepathic influence extends deep into his foes, allowing him to seize control of their minds. His Special Ability commands the two characters with the highest Damage to attack the primary target, simultaneously reducing the target’s Max Health. His Passive Ability is particularly impactful, activating on the enemy’s turn and forcing them to strike their own highest-Damage ally, while also reducing that ally’s Max Health.

Not only does Xavier manipulate his enemies, but he also controls the flow of battle from the start. His Passive Ability denies enemies the benefits of Taunt, Speed Up, or Defense Up, and limits Speed Bar manipulation to standard means.

Even Battlefield Effects aren’t safe from Xavier’s mental dominance. His Special Ability removes enemy influences from his side of the battlefield, while simultaneously summoning a trusted ally, Cyclops (Age of X), to assist. This unique version of Cyclops does more than just join the fight; his Ultimate Ability shatters enemy Barriers, clears their Battlefield Effects, and then delivers a devastating optic blast that prevents Revival.

When Xavier decides to finish a fight, he does so with absolute finality. His Ultimate Ability unleashes a psychic onslaught that clears all enemy Barriers, bypasses Trauma, and delivers a crushing attack that affects all enemies. If any enemy is below 25% Health, Xavier eliminates them entirely—ignoring Deathproof and preventing Revival, ensuring they will never rise again.

With his Basic, Professor X attacks the primary target, flips Immunity and one additional positive effect into a negative effect, and applies Slow along with two Bleed effects. If the primary target has Disrupted, he will also apply Blind. This means that whenever he attacks a target with Immunity, he converts that Immunity into Disrupted and applies Blind unless the target has Safeguard.

If Professor X is affected by an Ability Block when he uses his Basic attack, he will reduce the primary target’s Speed Bar by 60%. After the attack, he will remove two negative effects from himself, if any are present. For each negative effect removed, he will heal for 10% of his Max Health. Additionally, he will gain Evade and Offense Up.

When Professor X uses an Iso-8 attack, a Counterattack, or assists, the attack will deal damage only, without any additional effects. If he is forced to attack an ally, he will deal reduced damage to that ally. It is important to note that the Basic attack is Unavoidable, meaning it cannot be blocked or counterattacked.

The Special Ability costs 8 Ability Energy and can be used in the first turn. If Xavier does not have 2 or more Exhausted effects, he will remove 1 Exhausted and 1 Exposed effect from himself and all allies. He will then reduce the duration of all negative effects on himself and all allies by 2 (this is an anti-Trauma mechanic) and heal everyone for 30% of his maximum Health.

After healing and cleansing his team, Xavier will turn his attention to the enemies. He will reduce the duration of all positive effects on enemies by 2 (anti-Safeguard mechanic), clear all Charged effects on the primary and adjacent targets, apply Defense Down (2 turns) and Blind (2 turns) and also inflict Disrupted and Trauma. If the primary target or any adjacent targets are Controller enemies, Xavier will apply an Ability Block to that character.

Finally, Professor X will Mind Control any 2 characters with the highest Damage, compelling them to attack the primary target. These characters can be from either his team or the enemy team. The controlled characters will gain +100% Damage, and the damage they inflict will permanently decrease the primary target’s maximum Health by the same amount, meaning it cannot be healed.

After all these actions are complete, if Cyclops (Age of X) is not currently an ally, Xavier will summon him. The summoned Cyclops (Age of X) will gain Safeguard (2 turns) and Defense Up (2 turns). When Cyclops (Age of X) is summoned, Professor Xavier will clear the Battlefield Effect on his side. This attack is also Unavoidable and cannot be blocked or counterattacked.

Ultimate costs 10 Ability Energy and can be used on the second turn. First, Xavier will flip the Offense Down effect on himself. Then, he will clear the Barrier from all enemies and reduce the duration of all positive effects on all enemies by 2, serving as an anti-Safeguard mechanic.

The Professor will then attack all opponents with less than 25% Health, dealing damage equal to 25% of each target’s Max Health. This attack ignores any Deathproof and passives that trigger when a character drops below a certain health threshold, effectively eliminating all opponents below 25% Health.

Next, he will attack all other opponents with colossal Piercing damage, which also reduces the targets’ Max Health by the same amount of damage dealt. This means that the damage cannot be healed and reduces the Maximum Health of the affected opponents.

Additionally, all characters killed by Professor Xavier’s Ultimate cannot be revived. Like the Basic and Special attacks, the Ultimate is also Unavoidable and cannot be blocked or counterattacked.

The Passive Ability grants Professor Xavier powerful enhancements, making him the strongest character in Marvel Strike Force game.

Until Professor Xavier completes a turn:

  • Enemies cannot assist.
  • Enemies cannot gain Taunt, Speed Up, or Defense Up and allies cannot gain Darkness or Slow.
  • All characters’ Speed Bar can only be filled or reduced by normal means.

This action directly counters Odin, preventing him from using his Assist and applying his Battlefield Effect immediately after using his Special. Additionally, Knull will be unable to apply Darkness to Xavier’s team. Perhaps most importantly, this move stops opposing protectors from using Taunt to shield their teams. When it’s Xavier’s turn to play, he can use his Special to target any opponent he chooses.

On enemy turn:

  • Mind Control that enemy to attack the enemy with the highest Damage + apply Defense Down. The Controlled character gains +50% Damage for the attack + reduces the Max Health of the target by the amount of damage done.
  • Before the Mind Control, clear Barrier on the enemy with the highest Damage.
  • Fill this character’s Speed Bar by 15% + flip Defense Down.

Each time one of the enemies takes their turn, Xavier will use Mind Control to make them attack their ally with the highest Damage. Before this attack, he will remove the target’s barrier, and the damage dealt will permanently reduce the target’s health. Additionally, this action will fill Xavier’s Speed Bar, allowing him to play sooner.

After any character uses their Ultimate Ability, if this character does not have Exhausted:

  • Barrier self and all allies for 15% of this character’s Max Health.
  • Reduce the duration of all negative effects on self by 1 + Heal self for 10% of this character’s Max Health for each negative effect that expired.

When anyone in battle uses their Ultimate Ability, whether they are an ally or an enemy, Professor X will apply Barrier on his entire team. He will also reduce the duration of all negative effects from himself by 1 using the anti-Trauma mechanic and heal based on the number of negatives he removed.

This ability makes him practically immune to Stun. Even if he is not immune, when opponents attempt to Stun him and another character uses their Ultimate after that, he will remove the Stun from himself, provided he is not Exhausted. This means he can immediately get rid of the Stun if the opponent uses their Ultimate to Stun him and Stun duration is 1 turn or shortly after when the first ally or opponent uses their own Ultimate – if he is not Stun by the opponent’s Ultimate, and Stun durration is 2 turns.

Additionally, opponents who have Defense Down and would typically not receive Trauma, such as Odin or the Phoenix Force team in the Crucible or Shadow King (due to his Possessed mechanic), will now be able to receive Trauma. This significantly enhances the control over opposing characters. Characters that can apply both Trauma and Stun will be able to Stun Odin. For instance, Thanos (Endgame) can achieve this with his Special ability.

In the Arena, if Professor Xavier is facing any Mythic enemies, those enemies cannot increase their Max Health through Passive Abilities. Therefore, the Passive Abilities of characters like Mephisto, Super Skrull, or Apocalypse will not be able to boost the Health of the opposing team.

Furthermore, Xavier’s Focus and Damage can only be reduced by negative effects. For example, Cosmic Ghost Rider will not be able to passively reduce his Focus in War, unlike how he can affect other opponents, except Mephisto. Similarly, in War, Medusa will not be able to lower his Damage.

It is clear that Professor Xavier is a game-changing character who will revolutionize the Marvel Strike Force (MSF) game like no other before him.
