Iso-8
Green Goblin can hit multiple targets with his Ultimate and Basic Abilities so a good Iso option for him would be Raider. If he’s used on his own, he might also benefit from having a Skirmisher class, but only while he still has low stars since his focus is pretty good.
T4 Priority
P – Passive ability
U – Ultimate ability
S – Special ability
B – Basic ability
Passive – Passive will prevent Superior Six from having Ability Block and Vulnerable applied to them while Green Goblin is Charged so this is very essential.
Ultimate – will apply Trauma to the enemies if they don’t have any Positive effects and if he has a Sinister Six Protector ally he will apply Safeguard to all Sinister Six allies.
Special – Special will apply Trauma for 1 turn (of 2 if in Crucible) and double the damage.
Basic isn’t strictly needed, but it can be Awakened. When Awakened, his Basic will gain +10% Crit for every Spider-Verse enemy.
His Passive and Ultimate can also be Awakened. Ultimate will give him +2 Charged and that will be very beneficial. While his Passive will apply Defense Up for 2 turns to Sinister Six on Spawn.

Theory Craft
While attempting to improve upon a financially promising strength-enhancing formula, Norman Osborn accidentally inhaled the serum. Contact with the serum gave Osborn immense strength and genius intelligence, but at the cost of his sanity. He created the persona of the Green Goblin and used his newfound abilities to terrorize New York City – especially Spider-Man.
Green Goblin (Classic) is a Legendary character with high Health and Damage stats. He’s the leader of the new Superior Six team and he provides them with bonus Health and prevents Ability Block and Vulnerable from being applied to them. His Charged Mechanic can add additional attacks at the end of an enemy turn and lower the Damage and Resistance for all enemies. He also has an Awakened Basic, Ultimate, and Passive Abilities, which grant additional Crit Chance, Charged, and Defense Up to him and Superior Six allies.
Basic – Goblin Bomb
Attacks primary and adjacent targets for Damage and applies Defense Down.
This attack cannot be counterattacked.
When Awakened, this attack will also gain +10% Crit Chance for each SPIDER-VERSE character that is present.
ISO – 8/Counter Attack/Assists
Attacks the primary target for Damage and applies Defense Down.
His Basic Ability won’t be used as often since his Special has a very low cooldown, but it will still hit hard and the Defense Down will be useful.
Special – Maniacal Assault
Energy Cost: 2/2
Special ability will apply Speed Up and Offense Up to himself, then it will clear Barrier from the primary target and attack them for a huge amount of damage.
After that, it will:
- Reduce Speed Bar by 25%
- Flip 1 random Positive effect to Defense Down
- Flip all other Positive effects to Negative
- Apply Trauma for 1 turn and Heal Block for 2 turns.
- In Crucible, this will apply Trauma for 2 turns.
This attack cannot be blocked, dodged, or counterattacked.
If the primary target has Safeguard, Goblin will apply Offense Up and Speed Up to himself for 2 turns instead. Deal even more damage and will Reduce the Speed Bar by 25% and +10% for each Sinister Six ally.
This attack can punish any target, even if they are protected with Safeguard they will still receive a lot of damage and the Speed Bar reduction will also be massive. And if the target doesn’t have Safeguard they will be immobilized or eliminated altogether. And the fact that you can use this ability on every other turn makes it even more impressive.
Ultimate – Goblin Bombardment
Energy Cost: 6/6
First, this ability will clear Barrier from all enemies. Then it will attack them for moderate damage, flip 1 Positive effect into Negative, and apply Heal Block. It will also Reduce the Speed Bar for them by 2% and +2% per Sinister Six ally. If a target has Safeguard they will receive slightly more damage and if the target does not have any Positive effects, they will receive Trauma.
In Crucible, this will also:
- Clear 1 Charged from all enemies.
- Repeat this attack 2 additional times.
- If this character has 1 or more Sinister Six Protector allies, apply Safeguard to all Sinister Six allies.
- This attack cannot be dodged or counterattacked.
When Awakened, this ability will also provide Green Goblin with +2 Charged, if used on Crucible Offense.
Passive – True Osborn
On Spawn, Green Goblin will gain +3 Charged. (up to 5 max) He also provides a 20% boost to Max Health for all Sinister Six allies. And he will fill his Speed Bar by +9% per Superior Six allies in Crucible.
While he has Charged he will:
- Lower Damage by 15% for all enemies.
- Lower Resistance by 200% for all enemies.
- Ability Block and Vulnerable cannot be applied to self or any Sinister Six allies.
When he has Charged, at the end of enemy turn he will:
- Attack that enemy and adjacent targets for 200% damage.
- Apply Defense Down + flip Speed Up + flip 2 additional positive effects to negative effects for those targets.
- Lose 1 Charged.
This Passive can be quite handy because even if Green Goblin won’t take the first turn (most often he would) he will still be passively attacking the enemies and hitting multiple of them while he has Charged. This Passive also has an Awakened state, in which it will apply Defense Up for 2 turns to all Superior Six characters on Spawn.
Conclusion
Green Goblin (Classic) is a great Legendary character that can deal a lot of Damage and apply some crucial Negative effects to his enemies, like Trauma. In fact, both Special and Ultimate can apply Trauma and are not limited only to the Cosmic Crucible mode, which will make this character very useful in other modes as well, such as War or Dark Dimensions.
The only downside to Goblin is that without his team he will lose all of his Charged pretty fast, and won’t be able to gain more. In most fights that don’t last longer than 2 minutes, this won’t be a big issue, but he definitely will benefit from having some of his Sinister/Superior allies that can feed Charged to him.
