Iso-8
Old Man Logan is best suited for the Striker Iso Class because his Ultimate Ability starts with low energy and as a Striker, he can generate Speed Bar and Energy for himself with his Iso follow-up attacks, not to mention that he will also deal a ton of damage.
Raider or even Skirmisher can be a good secondary option in some cases because he has a 100% Assist chance and he can gain energy from that, so if you’re using him as a plug-and-play character you can create a team that will utilize the Striker/Skirmisher combo on mass thanks to Logan. And Raider can be good simply because his attacks hit multiple enemies and the increased Crit Rate and Damage will help him shred his foes.
T4 Priority
P – Passive ability
U – Ultimate ability
S – Special ability
B – Basic ability
Passive – will prevent Chargable enemies from gaining Charged before Logan takes a turn, and will increase the Assist Chance to 100% (up from 20%)
Ultimate – will apply Disrupted and Trauma for 2 turns to all enemies, and will increase the damage. This Ultimate also has an Awakened form, it will then generate 1 Special Ability Energy to 2 random Mutant allies that were not at full energy on start of the current turn(only works on War Offense)
Special – will increase the damage dealt to the targets, and will flip all positive effects into negative on all targets Logan hit. On top of that, Logan will also gain Revive Once. Awakened – once awakened, this ability will also apply Revive once to a Daken ally.
Basic – will deal more damage and drain will increase to 100% (up from 75%). Awakened – On War Offense, if Logan has Claws Out, he will apply Defense Down and will gain 2 Regeneration.

Theory Craft
In a dystopian future in an alternate universe, supervillains conquered and divided the United States. Logan (Wolverine) is an aged and disillusioned old man living a simple life with a family, haunted by a traumatic past event where he was tricked into killing his fellow X-Men. Logan vows never to use his claws again, but when he embarks on a brutal cross-country journey, he’s forced to confront old foes and new challenges in a radically changed world. No matter how old he is or what universe he’s from, Old Man Logan is still the best at what he does, making him not only a force to be reckoned with on the Mercs for Money but also a great theory-crafting option in other game modes.
Old Man Logan is a menace on the battlefield, dealing a lot of damage, flipping positive effects into negative on multiple targets, and applying Trauma to all targets. His Claws Out mechanic enforces his berserker identity and allows him to be even more dangerous.
Basic – Wasteland Strike
This attack will hit the primary target for damage, will Drain some health, and will apply Disrupted.
Then it will generate 1 Ultimate Ability Energy and will fill Logan’s Speed Bar by +20%.
If he has Claws Out, this attack will instead deal piercing damage and will apply 2 Bleeds for 2 Turns, as well as Disrupted for 1 Turn.
This attack cannot be dodged or blocked if Logan has Claws Out.
If this ability is awakened, it will apply Defense Down to the target, and 2 Regeneration to Logan (only on War Offense)
Iso-8/Counterattack/Assist
The safety attack is identical to his Basic, with the only difference being that the damage will be slightly lower.
Because he can generate Ultimate Ability Energy with this safety attack as well, he will be able to gain even more energy as a Striker, which will allow him to use his Ultimate even sooner.
Special – Logan’s Fury
Energy Cost: 4/4
This ability will attack the primary target for damage, will flip all positive effects into negative, and will apply Stun. Then, it will Chain to 4 targets within 2 spaces of each other, hit them for damage, and flip all positive effects into negative.
Logan will apply 2 Bleed for 2 turns to each target, then he will gain 2 Deathproof, Immunity, and Safeguard. He will also generate 1 Ultimate Ability Energy for himself and will Gain Revive Once.
This attack gains +1,000% Extra Focus against Chargable Protector enemies, and cannot be counterattacked.
If Logan has Claws Out, this attack will instead deal Piercing Damage to all targets, will apply Stun+Trauma to the primary targets, Chain will increase from 4 to 7 targets and each target hit will also gain Trauma. With Claws Out this attack cannot be dodged or blocked.
If this ability is Awakened, it will also apply Revive Once to a Daken Ally.
Once Logan gains Claws Out (after using his Ultimate), this ability becomes even more dangerous since it will leave everyone defenseless by applying Trauma and Disrupted to them. Even without Claws Out, it will still Stun one target and will clear all positive effects on at least 5 targets as long as his Chain is not interrupted. On top of that, it will also provide a good defense for Logan because he will gain Immunity and Safeguard, so no one will be able to apply negatives or flip positives on him. And 2 Deathproofs will prevent him from being one-shotted. But if he does end up dying, he will be able to revive and once he uses his Special again he will gain another Revive Once, allowing him to truly represent what Wolverine is about.
Ultimate – Still The Best…
Energy Cost: 1/6
Gain Claws Out
Clear Barrier on all enemies, attack all enemies for piercing damage, flip all positive effects into negative, and apply 2 Bleed, Defense Down, Disrupted, and Trauma for 2 turns.
Apply Ability Block to the enemy with the highest damage, and generate 1 Special Ability Energy to himself.
This attack ignores Defense Up and cannot be counterattacked, dodged, or blocked.
If Awakened, it will also provide 1 Special Ability Energy for 2 Mutant allies that were not at full energy on start of the current turn.
While this ability has a long cooldown and starts with low energy, Logan can gain that energy fairly fast, so it’s possible that on his second turn he will be able to use his Ultimate.
Passive – Better With Age
On Turn, clear all negative effects on himself and heal for 20% of own Max Health + 15% per negative effect removed.
This is a very strong self-sustaining ability that allows him to get back to high health on any turn, as long as he doesn’t have Trauma on him.
When attacked, Logan will fill his own Speed Bar by +20%, and when his Health is above 50% Logan cannot be Stunned and his Speed Bar cannot be reduced.
The Chargeable enemy with the highest Damage cannot gain Charget until Logan takes a turn. This can greatly hinder some of the most dangerous characters, like Nova, Black Knight, Red Hulk, Black Cat, Ghost Rider (Robbie), Apocalypse, etc. It will especially be dangerous for characters who gain Charged on Spawn but cannot gain more later, like Nova.
While any enemy has Bleed:
- Lower that character’s Damage by 30%. This will not stack with other effects, such as Offense Down.
- Lower that character’s Resistance by 50%.
- Heal Block cannot be applied to self or any Mercs For Money allies.
- This character and all Mercs For Money allies gain +30% Speed.
This part of his passive will provide a very strong mechanic for his team and for himself as a plug-and-play. Increasing his Speed by 30% will allow Logan to be very fast, especially when you also factor in all the Speed Bar he can generate for himself.
Lowering Resistance will help the team apply more debuffs, including Bleed, which will ensure that these effects stay active. Preventing enemies from applying Heal Block on himself or his Mercs For Money team will increase their chances of survival.
Passively, Logan also gains 100% Assist Chance, which will allow him to gain even more Speed Bar and energy for his Ultimate. He also gains +200% Focus, so the debuffs that he applies will have a better chance of landing.
He also gains +40% Damage and +50% Max Health, and Mercs For Money will gain +20% Damage and +50% Max Health.
Conclusion
As the first Legendary character of the Age Of X saga, Old Man Logan promises to be a very powerful ally or an immensely dangerous foe. His kit allows him to stay true to the Wolverine nature from the comics, meaning he has a lot of regeneration (Heal on Turn), and can constantly revive (gains Revive Once from his Special).
His berserker nature is also well captured since while his native Speed is average, he can gain more Speed once he smells Blood (the enemy has Bleed), and he will constantly gain bonus Speed Bar, either from Assisting or from being hit.
Both his abilities are incredibly good, his Ult can leave the whole enemy team defenseless, and his Special can keep up the pressure, even more so after he gains Claws Out. He will be a great character for Dark Dimension, as well as for any other mode.
