Iso-8
Angel can be either a Healer or a Fortifier Iso-8 class. Choosing Healer will boost his healing capabilities, allowing him to provide even more sustain for the team. On the other hand, giving him the Fortifier class will enhance his mitigation and strengthen the Barrier he provides to all allies, making the team even more resilient. The choice depends on whether you want to prioritize team healing or overall durability and protection through barriers.
T4 Priority
P – Passive ability
U – Ultimate ability
S – Special ability
B – Basic ability
Passive – When Angel’s Passive is fully upgraded, he gains a powerful enhancement in Crucible: if he has Vitality and at least three Exalted X-Men allies, he makes himself and the entire Exalted X-Men team immune to Trauma. This is an outstanding upgrade because it prevents Trauma from blocking one of Angel’s core strengths—flipping negative effects into positive ones for his team. With this Trauma immunity, Angel can consistently cleanse and convert debuffs, ensuring sustained survivability and resilience for the whole Exalted X-Men squad, even against teams that rely on Trauma to shut down flipping and/or removing debuffs.
Ultimate – When Angel’s Ultimate is fully upgraded, it not only increases the damage dealt but also allows him to flip all negative effects into positive ones for himself and all his allies (upgraded from flipping just 2 negative effects). This upgrade brings greater stability to the team, as there will often be situations where more than two negative effects stack on one or more team members. With this improvement, Angel can reliably cleanse even heavy debuff situations, turning them into valuable buffs and ensuring the Exalted X-Men maintain their momentum and survivability throughout the battle.
Special – Maxing out Angel’s Special has the same effect as maxing his Ultimate: it increases the damage dealt and upgrades the ability to flip all negative effects into positive ones for himself and all his allies (up from just 2 negative effects). As already mentioned, this is crucial because it allows the team to handle heavy debuff situations much more effectively, turning even the worst conditions into a potential advantage and greatly improving the overall stability and resilience of the Exalted X-Men (or any team Angel is with).
Basic – When Angel’s Basic ability is maxed out, it deals increased damage and applies Regeneration to himself and all Exalted X-Men allies (upgraded from only applying Regeneration to three random Exalted X-Men allies or himself). The logic is simple: with a maxed Basic, the entire team consistently receives Regeneration whenever Angel uses this ability, greatly improving their sustain. If the Basic is not maxed, only three random team members receive Regeneration, leaving two allies without this healing effect. For maximum team survivability and reliability, fully upgrading Angel’s Basic is definitely the way to go.

About Character
Angel, whose real name is Warren Worthington III, is one of Marvel’s most iconic and enduring mutant superheroes. Angel is a founding member of the X-Men and has played a vital role in the team’s history.
Warren was born into a wealthy family and lived a privileged life until his mutant powers emerged during his teenage years. He developed large, feathered wings that allow him to fly at incredible speeds and altitudes. In addition to flight, Angel has enhanced vision, agility, and healing abilities, making him a formidable hero both in the air and on the ground.
Despite his privileged upbringing, Warren has struggled with feelings of isolation and the burden of being visibly different. This personal conflict has been a central theme in his storylines, highlighting the challenges that many mutants face in a world that fears and misunderstands them.
Angel’s journey took a dramatic turn when he was transformed into Archangel by the villain Apocalypse. In this form, his wings were replaced with razor-sharp metal feathers, and his personality became darker and more aggressive. Although he eventually regained his original form, the experience left a lasting impact on his character, adding depth and complexity to his role within the X-Men.
Throughout his history, Angel has been known for his compassion, bravery, and unwavering commitment to the ideals of the X-Men. He often uses his resources to support fellow mutants and has served as a leader and mentor within the team.
Angel’s story is a testament to the power of hope, redemption, and the enduring belief that even those who appear different can become heroes. His character continues to inspire fans as a symbol of resilience, acceptance, and the freedom to soar above adversity.
Angel is the dedicated Support for the Exalted X-Men team in Marvel Strike Force, acting as a true guardian with an impressive array of abilities. His healing, Barrier, Defense Up, and Deathproof buffs keep his allies safe and resilient throughout the toughest battles. However, what truly sets Angel apart is his unique Vitality mechanic—a new buff exclusive to him in the game.
When Angel has Vitality and is attacked by enemies, he immediately heals his Exalted X-Men allies, flips three of their negative effects into positive ones, and applies Defense Up for two turns. In the Cosmic Crucible game mode, Angel’s Vitality grants additional protection: he receives Damage Reduction, and his Exalted X-Men teammates and himself become immune to Bleed, Heal Block, Vulnerable, and Trauma as long as Vitality is active. This makes Angel an essential source of mitigation and sustainability for the team.
Angel’s abilities allow him to flip negative effects into positive buffs, provide healing, Barrier, Regeneration, and apply Deathproof to himself and his allies. Although he is a slower character, this works in his favor—his turns last longer, which means he maintains the Vitality buff for a greater period, maximizing his team’s survivability.
At the start of the battle, Angel gains Taunt, drawing enemy attacks and protecting his Exalted X-Men team. If he cannot gain Taunt due to the opponent’s passive abilities, Angel instead applies Stealth to all Exalted X-Men allies, ensuring enemies can only target him. This clever mechanic makes Angel the team’s primary protector, allowing his allies to focus on their roles without interruption.
Overall, Angel is crucial for the Exalted X-Men’s success. He offers outstanding protection and sustain, enabling the rest of the team to do their job effectively and dominate their opponents. His unique toolkit makes him one of the most valuable Support characters in Marvel Strike Force, truly living up to his name as the guardian angel of his team.
