Iso-8
The best Iso-8 Class for Korg is Striker. As we know, the Knowhere team benefits a lot from the Deflect buff both individually and as a team, and the Korg Iso-8 attack gets 2 Deflects. This passively increases his Armor, while enemies cannot counterattack as long as Korg has Deflect on him.
As a Striker, Korg increases his chances of getting more Deflects, and he and his entire team benefit from that.
Another option is Fortifier. Whenever he dies, his Knowhere allies have a chance to revive him and bring him back into the fight with 10% Health. Since he is a Fortifier, every time he is revived, he will also get a Barrier on him, which is much better than being Revived with only 10% Max Health. As long as he is killed by someone who does not allow him to come back to life, all this is irrelevant.
Considering everything, I believe that is the best option for Korg Striker and that he and his entire team will benefit the most.
T4 Priority
P – Passive ability
S – Special ability
U – Ultimate ability
B – Basic ability
Passive
Upgrading Passive is important for Korg because not only will Spawn apply Defense Up for the entire Knowhere team for 2 turns (up from 1), but he also gets 20% Armor per Deflect on himself. This will significantly increase his durability.
Special
Special ability on max will increase Damage, apply Offense UP to Knowhere team for 2 turns (up from 1), and in War, reduce Speed Byr by an additional 10% on primary and secondary targets. Increased Damage, extended duration of the essential buff, and extra reduction of the enemy’s Speed Bar – definitely worth an upgrade.
Ultimate
If we improve Ultimate for Korg, we will get additional Damage, and he will clear all positive effects from the primary target (up from 3). In War, it will reduce the Speed Bar by an additional 15%. We all know the importance of Speed Bar manipulation, so any further reduction should be embraced and used.

Theory Craft
Korg is a Kronan warrior captured on the planet Sakaar where he became a gladiator. He later joined the revolution led by the Hulk and escaped from Sakaar. He helped Thor in his fight against Hela and later against Thanos, becoming his loyal friend. Like all Kronans, it has super strength and a rock-like exterior that makes him extra durable.
Korg is the Protector of the Knowhere team with high Armor and Resistance which he uses to absorb enemy attacks. He automatically gains Taunt when allies become injured, prevents enemy Counterattacks, and reduces enemy Speed Bar.
As we noted when describing the other Knowhere characters, all of his Knowhere allies have the ability to use their Basic attack to bring Korg back to life if he dies at some point in the fight. In War, this is no longer a possibility but a sure thing. This makes him even more durable because he can return from death multiple times.
Basic – Let’s Rock
A fairly simple Basic attack that inflicts Slow on the target (2 turns) and gives itself 2 Deflect. This part with Deflect is important, as we will see later.
ISO – 8/Counter Attack/Assists:
Same as Basic, with the fact that it does slightly less Damage. Slow and Deflect are still there.
Special – Sakaaran Blast
Energy Cost: 4/4
With his Special, Korg attacks primary and adjacent targets and inflicts Slow (2 turns). If Nova is on the team or two Knowhere allies, this attack does additional Piercing Damage.
Casts Offense Up (2 turns) and 1 Deflect on himself and all Knowhere allies.
In War, this attack becomes Unavoidable and reduces the Speed Bar by 20% on primary and adjacent targets.
Korg will start the fight with a Special – debuff opponents and buff his Knowhere team. If Korg is strong enough and with Knowhere allies, he can seriously harm his opponents with this blow. Not to mention the War game mode. Where they will certainly hit and take down the Speed Bar.
Ultimate – Rock Breaks Scissors
Energy Cost: 2/4
He will be able to use the Ultimate in his second turn. With it, he will remove all buffs from the primary target, attack it and call 2 Knowhere allies with the highest Damage to attack the primary target. Those allies will get +30% Damage for this attack. Then he will cast Defense up (2 turns) on himself and Knowhere allies.
In War, this ability will gain +100% Extra Focus and reduce the Speed Bar of the primary target by 30%.
With his Ultimate, Korg defensively boosts the Knowhere team while at the same time reducing the effectiveness of one opponent. In some situations, it can even completely remove him from the fight (kill him).
Quite a powerful weapon with the help of which Nova and Thor (Infinity War) (most likely those two characters will have the highest Damage in the team) with their follow-up attacks and thus get the bonuses they otherwise get when they do their Basic.
Passive – Rock and Roll
On Spawn Korg, passively apply Defense Up (2 turns) and 2 Deflect to yourself and the entire Knowhere team. When one of the Knowhere allies drops below 50% Health, Korg gains Taunt and Deathproof.
He Passively provides Armor for the Knowhere team – +30% (additional +30% in War). Also, in War, whenever he Block, he Barrier himself for 5% of his Max Health. The interesting feat – he gets an additional +20% armor per Deflect on himself. So in some moments of the combat, he may have 130% increased Armor (160% in War). And since we know the Knowhere team gets a ton of Deflect, that possibility is obvious.
While having Deflect, he lowers the Counterattack chance of all enemies by 100%. Which means it prevents enemies from countering. This further means – this is a surprisingly good passive ability.
Korg is a great protector that does not have Taunt among its abilities. He taunts passively (doesn’t spend turns on it), which is good because the move Korg can use in another way – dealing Damage to the enemy/s.
No matter how many times he dies during the fight, there is always a chance to return to the same one, so he can be annoying to the enemies.
A Protector with high Armor constantly have a chance to return to the fight after being killed and buffs his team, making them impenetrable. While on the other hand, he passively prevents enemy counters (among other good things he does). We cannot be dissatisfied.
Now is the right time to write a few words about Deflect – a pivotal buff of the Knowhere team.
Deflect buff is crucial for a Knowhere team. With it, each individual of the crew gets self-buffs but also provides buffs for the whole team. These buffs are excellent and significantly increase the effectiveness of the entire team:
- Nova – if has Deflect – the whole team gets a +20% Block Amount
- Cosmo – if has Deflect – reduces the opponent’s Critical Chance by 50%
- Thor (Infinity War) – if has Deflect – reduces the Block Chance of enemies by 50%
- Star-Lord (Annihilation) – if has Deflect – the entire Knowhere team gets +50% Accuracy
- Korg – if has Deflect – reduces the Counterattack chance of all enemies by 100%
- Nova Force (Battlefield Effect) – +5% Damage per Deflect
Let’s see how they can gain Deflects:
- Nova Basic – +1 Deflect to the whole Knowhere team
- Nova Ultimate – +1 Deflect to the whole Knowhere team
- Nova Force (Battlefield Effect) – +2 Deflects to any ally on turn
- Cosmo Special – +1 Deflect to the whole Knowhere team
- Korg Basic, Iso-8/Counter Attack/Assists – +2 Deflects on Korg
- Korg Special – +1 Deflect to the whole Knowhere team
- Korg Pasive – +2 Deflects to the whole Knowhere team on Spawn
As we can see, they have 7 different abilities, passives, or even Battlefield Effect that can give them a certain number of Deflects. So they (the Knowhere team) will definitely have a lot of Deflects during the fight.
