Iso-8
When paired up with his Out Of Time team Cosmic Ghost Rider benefits best from having a Raider class since he is the first character to take a turn on that team and this will allow him to provide Vulnerable effects for his allies to exploit.
T4 Priority
P – Passive ability
U – Ultimate ability
S – Special ability
B – Basic ability
Passive – His Passive will apply Barrier for 30%(instead of 10%) of his Max Health to all Out Of Time characters after an enemy uses their Ultimate attack. It won’t work if Cosmic Ghost Rider is Exhausted. This is the main thing that makes Cosmic Ghost Rider so good on defense so it should be the first upgrade.
Ultimate – will also apply Trauma and clear all Battlefield effects on the enemy side. Stun+Trauma combo will be very useful in any game mode and clearing battlefield effects will also be useful even if to a lesser degree.
Special – will increase the damage dealt to all enemies and will apply Trauma to the enemy Protector if they have Defense Down. The increased damage is good and although applying Trauma would be situational this is a good ability to have.
Basic – will deal +25% damage per positive effect on the target (instead of 10%) which is a decent boost so if you have spare T4s it’s worth upgrading.

Theory Craft
In an alternate universe, the Punisher, Frank Castle, becomes the Ghost Rider after Thanos destroys all life on Earth. Desperate for help defeating Thanos before the Mad Titan destroyed the universe, the World Eater Galactus made Ghost Rider his new herald, combining Ghost Rider’s Spirit of Vengeance with the Power Cosmic. This Cosmic Ghost Rider set off with Galactus to defend the universe from the most powerful threats and to defeat Thanos once and for all.
Cosmic Ghost Rider is a Controller who can deal a great amount of damage, he can apply Stun with both his abilities, can clear Battlefield effects on both sides of the field, and will protect his allies before he takes the first turn by lowering enemy damage and focus, and also providing Barrier every time an enemy uses their Ultimate attack.
Basic – Cosmic Whiplash
This attack will deal damage to primary and adjacent targets and will apply Bleed. The damage of the attack is increased by +25% per positive effect on the primary target.
In War, if the primary target is a Controller he will also apply Ability Block to them and will generate 1 Ability Energy for this character and all Out of Time allies who were not at full energy on start of this turn.
This attack cannot be dodged.
This is a very good Basic ability that has a strong damage potential. Cosmic Ghost Rider is also the second character who can apply Ability Block with his Basic, although it is pretty restricted (only to Controllers and in War)
Iso-8/Counterattack/Assist
This will hit the primary target for slightly more damage and will also gain +25% bonus damage per positive effect on the target.
Same as the Basic attack, it will be possible to apply Ability Block to Controller enemies in War, but this won’t be able to generate Ability energy.
Special – Vengeance Slide
Energy Cost: 4/4
This will attack all enemies and gain +25% damage per positive effect on the primary target.
Then it will flip 2 positive effects into negative, flip all positive effects on all Protector enemies, and will apply Defense Down and Heal Block to all enemies.
This attack will also apply Stun to the Protector with the highest Speed ignoring Taunt and Stealth, if that Protector has Defense Down this will also apply Trauma to them. And it will clear all Battlefield effects on the allied side.
This attack gains 1,000% Extra Focus against Protector enemies and cannot be dodged or counterattacked.
This attack can deal a lot of damage if the correct target is selected as the primary. It will also neutralize any enemy Protectors 99% of the time, because of the bonus focus he gains.
Ultimate – Intergalactic Punishment
Energy Cost: 3/5
This ability will clear all Barrier on the primary target, then it will deal massive piercing damage and gain bonus +25% damage per positive effect on the target. It will also apply Stun and Trauma and will clear all Battlefield effects on the enemy side.
This attack ignores Defense Up and cannot be blocked. In War, this attack cannot be dodged or counterattacked.
The damage of this attack can annihilate a character, especially if that character has a lot of positive effects. If by any chance they survived, they will be Stunned without the ability to clear it thanks to Trauma. As a bonus, Cosmic Ghost Rider will also clear any Battlefield effects on the enemy’s side (like Nova’s)
Passive – The Rider
After an enemy uses an Ultimate Ability, if Cosmic Ghost Rider is not Exhausted, he will Barrier self and all Out Of Time allies for 30% of his Max Health.
In War:
- Lower the Focus by 5,000% and Damage by 50% for any non-Mephisto enemy that takes a turn before this character or any ally.
- Gain an additional +30% Max Health.
- Gain an additional +50% Focus per Oot Of Time ally.
- If this character has 4 or more Oot Of Time allies, enemy Speed Bar that is gained on Spawn is increased by 100%.
He will also gain +30% Max Health and +200% Focus in any game mode.
In War, Cosmic Ghost Rider will punish enemies for getting Speed Bar on Spawn by doubling the gained Speed Bar, this will force them to attack Black Knight and his retaliation attacks will deal massive amounts of damage. Overcoming Black Knight’s Taunt will be a hard task because Cosmic GR will also lower enemy Focus by 5,000% if they take their turns before Cosmic Ghost Rider.
Ghost Rider will also provide help to his allies by applying Barrier every time an enemy uses their Ultimate attacks.
Conclusion
Ghost Rider’s abilities make him a character with great offensive potential, all of his abilities gain bonus damage per positive effect on his targets, and he can control his enemies with the help of Ability Blocks and Stuns. He will have a specific knack for taking out Protector enemies.
The specific call-out to Mephisto in Ghost Rider’s Passive allows us to assume that Mephisto will be a hard counter for this team in War. Until then, getting through this team will not be easy which makes Ghost Rider a valuable character to have.
