Iso-8

Oath has a great damage-oriented kit, and that can be enhanced by using Striker or Raider Iso-8 Classes. On one hand, she can hit multiple enemies with her Special and Ultimate, and her attacks deal Piercing damage, so Raider Class will work incredibly well. On the other hand, she can apply additional Exposed to enemies if we use her as a Striker, but this will work only in Raids, so if you want to avoid changing Isos often, you can stick with the Raider class.

T4 Priority

P – Passive ability

U – Ultimate ability

S – Special ability

B – Basic ability

Passive – Will fill the Speed Bar of Oath and all allies by +5% on Spawn, but this only works on Offense. Additionally, her Passive attacks on enemies with Exposed will deal slightly more damage. The value of getting more Speed Bar on Spawn is extremely high and even 5% can be crucial, so this upgrade is an essential one.

Ultimate – slightly increases the damage. Most importantly, it will allow Oath to apply Trauma and Bleed to all enemies, but only in Raids.

Special – apply Ability Block to the primary target for 2 turns (instead of 1) and will also apply Heal Block to adjacent targets

Basic – will just slightly increase the damage, and it will allow her to apply Exposed to the primary target (instead of a 50% Chance). This is a good ability to have for Raids

Theory-Craft

When the sun sets, the streets of New York become even more dangerous. Unfortunately, Karen Page found that out the hard way. A ceaseless force for justice, Karen Page helped co-found the law offices of Nelson and Murdock. There she helped the two lawyers represent the downtrodden and forgotten in the system before eventually running her own legal clinic to help those in the throes of drug addiction. But while traveling home from work one night, Karen was bitten by a vampire and turned. She was found by Man-Thing, who then contacted Morbius to help Karen come to terms with her vampirism. She adopted the name of Oath and joined Moon Knight, Blade, and Agatha Harkness in the fight against the increasing vampire threat.

As a new Vampire, Oath lusts for blood, so all of her attacks apply Bleed and Heal Block, combining that with her high Damage and Focus Stats can make her a pretty serious threat. Her Special can steal Max Health and her Ultimate can apply Trauma to all enemies (only in Raids). Oath also has an Exposed mechanic that can clear all negative effects by reducing their duration, additionally, she will serve as an energy battery in Raids on any enemy death.

Basic – Sanguine Strike

This attack will hit the primary target dealing Piercing damage and applying Bleed and Heal Block. In Raids, it will also apply Exposed.

When forced to attack an ally, Oath does not apply Exposed or any negative effects to Nightstalker characters.

This attack cannot be counterattacked or dodged.

Safety Attack (Iso-8/Assist/Counterattack)

Works nearly identically to the Basic, with the only exception that the damage will be slightly lower.

Special – Blood Charge

Energy Cost – 4/4

Oath will steal 20% of the primary target’s Max Health and will redistribute to herself (bypassing heal Block) Then she will apply Ability block for 2 turns to the target. In Raids, this attack will instead steal 40% of the target’s Max Health.

After that, Oath will hit the primary and adjacent targets dealing piercing damage and applying 2 Bleed and Heal Block to them all.

This attack cannot be dodged.

This is an incredible ability in raids since stealing 40% Max Health is incredibly useful, and she can potentially use this ability very often because she will get more energy from her Passive. On top of that, the primary target will be Ability Blocked for 2 turns.

Ultimate – Cardiac Assault

Energy Cost – 6/6

This ability will hit all enemies, dealing Piercing damage. Oath will then apply Exposed, 2 Bleed, and Heal Block to the primary target.

In Raids, she will apply one additional Bleed and Trauma to the primary target. And will also apply 3 Bleed, Heal Block, and Trauma to all enemies.

This attack gains +20% damage against targets with Safeguard.

This attack cannot be blocked, counterattacked or dodged.

This is a great ability in Raids where it can apply tons of Bleed and Trauma to everyone. In other game modes, this will be Oath’s only means of applying Exposedbe, so the main target will need to be selected carefully.

Passive – Vampiric Vow

On Spawn, On Offense, Oath will fill the Speed Bar by 5% for self and all allies. This is a very useful mechanic, which can also make Oath a great plug-and-play option.

On this character’s or any Nightstalker ally’s Turn End:

  • Attack the most injured enemy with Exposed for 240% Piercing + reduce the duration of all positive effects by 1 (Any positive effect that has a duration of 0 expires instantly, including Safeguard).
  • In Raids, copy and clear 2 random negative effects from self and all Nightstalker allies to that Exposed enemy.
  • In Raids, apply Regeneration to self and all Nightstalker allies.

This is a great ability that will allow Oath to remove positive effects from enemies, including Safeguard. In Raids this will provide even more sustain to her allies. It can work well to some extent even in other game modes, mainly due to the fact that Oath can use her Ultimate on her first turn and that her allies should take their turns before the enemies do.

On Enemy Death, Oath will generate 1 Ability Energy to self and all Nightstalker allies who were not at full energy at the start of the turn. In Raids, Oath will fill the Speed Bar by +25% to self and all Nightstalker allies on any enemy death.

In Raids, on Spawn, Oath will generate 6 Ability Energy to self and all Nightstalker allies. On enemy Controller turn, Oath will apply Safeguard to self and all Nightstalkers.

The last part will allow Nightstalkers to easily sim Mystic nodes since they will have all of their abilities ready on Spawn. This also makes Oath an essential part of the team.

Conclusion

Oath has a lot of amazing effects in her kit, and while most are locked behind Raids or the Nightstalkers team, some other key aspects can still work in all other game modes. Mainly her Exposed mechanic and the On Spawn Speed Bar generation. Those two will allow Oath to be used as a plug-and-play character, and she could fit in well with a number of characters any time you need one Safeguard removed quickly or a slight Speed Bar advantage on Spawn. On top of that, she is also fairly fast on her own and can apply a 2-turn Ability Block on her first turn, as well as steal 20% Max Health, so she will have uses beyond just her Passive.

These aspects will allow Oath to be still valuable and usable even after her team gets outdated, making her a welcome addition to the MSF.
