Exalted X-Men

VIDEO ADVERTISEMENT

Introduction

Exalted X-Men is a team designed to dominate in Cosmic Crucible, and their leader and central figure, Storm (Mighty), is the very first Mighty character you’ll need during the Age of Fear. Investing in her and the rest of the Exalted X-Men team is highly recommended for players looking to stay competitive.

The lineup features three brand-new characters—Storm (Mighty), Angel, and Morph—alongside two reworked favorites: Wolverine and Jubilee. All five are Mutant and X-Men characters, giving them strong synergy with a wide range of X-Men-based bonuses and abilities. Storm (Mighty) fills the Blaster role, delivering heavy damage and control; Angel serves as the team’s Support, providing healing, barriers, and vital protection; Jubilee is a Controller, specializing in debuffs and team utility; while Morph and Wolverine bring the Brawler archetype, excelling in quick, hard-hitting attacks. Importantly, every member of the team is classified as Hero and Global, making them valuable in various game modes and team compositions beyond just Cosmic Crucible.

Utility

  • Cosmic Crucible

Their dominance in Cosmic Crucible is practically guaranteed, thanks to their powerful abilities and excellent synergy—making them just as effective as an offensive squad as they are on defense. Where you want to use them is up to you, and they’ll excel in either role. You can read more about their abilities further in the text, where we’ll break down each character individually and explore the team’s overall mechanics in detail.

It’s also worth noting that, thanks to their outstanding Speed, both Morph and Storm (Mighty) are likely to find a place in other game modes as well, where their early turns and control can prove extremely valuable.

Team Placement & Turn Order

We’ll place Angel in one corner spot, since he’s not only the team’s Support but also acts as their main protector (who spawns with Taunt). Next to him goes Wolverine, who is the most resilient of all five characters; even if he takes some AoE damage while standing beside the protector, it won’t pose much of a problem. Storm (Mighty) takes the central position. Jubilee is placed next to Storm (Mighty), while Morph occupies the opposite corner. This formation maximizes both protection and offensive potential, allowing each character to fulfill their role and keep the Exalted X-Men functioning at their best.

Turn Order:

  1. Morph – 134 Speed
  2. Storm (Mighty) – 133 Speed
  3. Wolverine – 117 Speed
  4. Jubilee- 113 Speed
  5. Angel – 107 Speed

Iso-8 Classes

  • Angel – Healer / Fortifier
  • Wolverine – Striker / Raider
  • Storm (Mighty) – Raider / Striker
  • Jubilee – Striker / Raider
  • Morph – Raider

Angel can be either a Healer or a Fortifier Iso-8 class. Choosing Healer will boost his healing capabilities, allowing him to provide even more sustain for the team. On the other hand, giving him the Fortifier class will enhance his mitigation and strengthen the Barrier he provides to all allies, making the team even more resilient. The choice depends on whether you want to prioritize team healing or overall durability and protection through barriers.

Wolverine can be effective as a Raider, but he truly shines as a Striker. While his Special is his only multi-target attack, both his Basic and Ultimate abilities focus on hitting a single target, making the Striker class a natural fit. As a Striker, Wolverine maximizes his damage output on priority targets and takes full advantage of his high single-target burst potential. For most situations, the Striker setup will get the best results from his kit.

Storm (Mighty) can effectively fill the role of either Raider or Striker, but Raider is generally the optimal choice for her. As a Raider, she maximizes her damage potential, since both her Special and Ultimate abilities hit multiple enemies, and her passive also deals damage to opponents with Exposed during their turns. This allows her to benefit from the extra Crit Chance and Crit Damage that Raider provides, making her attacks even more devastating.

While she can also function as a Striker—taking advantage of Morph speed and the potential to exploit Vulnerables he applies —Morph’s opening Special only targets one enemy, so there won’t be many Vulnerables on the field for Storm (Mighty) to exploit early on. For most situations, Raider will get more consistent value from her multi-target attacks and her passive, making it the recommended setup for maximizing her overall impact.

Jubilee is an excellent Striker, especially when she’s part of the Exalted X-Men team, since her Iso-8 attack can apply Blind to an enemy. She also has potential as a Raider, with her Ultimate targeting all opponents, which could benefit from increased Crit Chance and Crit Damage. However, Striker tends to be the better option, as her Special can deal significant damage to a single enemy, and combining that with the extra hit from her Iso-8 attack can often result in eliminating key threats. Striker maximizes her single-target burst and reliably leverages her debuffing abilities, making it the recommended choice for most team compositions.

Morph may seem like a natural fit for the Striker class since most of his attacks target a single enemy, but that would be a mistake. Thanks to his exceptional Speed, Morph almost always takes the first turn—especially within the Exalted X-Men team, where he always plays first—meaning there usually aren’t any Vulnerable debuffs on enemies for him to exploit as a Striker. That’s why Raider is actually the best choice for him.

Morph’s opening move is his Special, which targets a single enemy and can deal massive damage, particularly in Crucible. When Morph is with the Exalted X-Men, this attack has a 100% Crit Chance and hits the enemy multiple times (four times in total), so as a Raider, he can maximize his Crit Damage with every strike. His Ultimate also targets multiple enemies, further increasing the value of the Raider class. If Morph didn’t always play first, Striker could be a strong alternative, but given his speed and attack patterns, Raider is clearly the optimal Iso-8 class for Morph.

So our recommended Iso-8 setup for the Exalted X-Men team is as follows:
Angel as a Fortifier (or Healer—both options work well),
Wolverine as a Striker,
Storm (Mighty) as a Raider,
Jubilee as a Striker,
and Morph as a Raider.

Morph and Storm (Mighty) will take the first turns, and as Raiders, they’ll apply plenty of Vulnerables to the enemy team. Wolverine and Jubilee, who play after them, can then exploit those Vulnerables as Strikers, maximizing their damage and finishing power. This setup takes full advantage of the team’s speed, synergy, and attack patterns, ensuring the Exalted X-Men perform at their best in Cosmic Crucible and other competitive modes.

Team T4’s

Essential

  • Angel – Passive, Ultimate, and Special
  • Wolverine – Passive and Special
  • Storm (Mighty) – Passive and Ultimate
  • Jubilee – Passive
  • Morph – Passive and Ultimate

Angel

Passive – When Angel’s Passive is fully upgraded, he gains a powerful enhancement in Crucible: if he has Vitality and at least three Exalted X-Men allies, he makes himself and the entire Exalted X-Men team immune to Trauma. This is an outstanding upgrade because it prevents Trauma from blocking one of Angel’s core strengths—flipping negative effects into positive ones for his team. With this Trauma immunity, Angel can consistently cleanse and convert debuffs, ensuring sustained survivability and resilience for the whole Exalted X-Men squad, even against teams that rely on Trauma to shut down flipping and/or removing debuffs.

Ultimate – When Angel’s Ultimate is fully upgraded, it not only increases the damage dealt but also allows him to flip all negative effects into positive ones for himself and all his allies (upgraded from flipping just 2 negative effects). This upgrade brings greater stability to the team, as there will often be situations where more than two negative effects stack on one or more team members. With this improvement, Angel can reliably cleanse even heavy debuff situations, turning them into valuable buffs and ensuring the Exalted X-Men maintain their momentum and survivability throughout the battle.

Special – Maxing out Angel’s Special has the same effect as maxing his Ultimate: it increases the damage dealt and upgrades the ability to flip all negative effects into positive ones for himself and all his allies (up from just 2 negative effects). As already mentioned, this is crucial because it allows the team to handle heavy debuff situations much more effectively, turning even the worst conditions into a potential advantage and greatly improving the overall stability and resilience of the Exalted X-Men (or any team Angel is with).

Wolverine

Passive – A fully upgraded Passive allows Wolverine, when he has at least three Exalted X-Men allies, to prevent all enemies below 50% Health from gaining Stealth. This is a fantastic upgrade because it stops critically wounded enemies from hiding behind Stealth, making it much easier for your team to finish them off and secure kills. It’s a key improvement for maintaining offensive pressure and controlling the flow of battle, especially against teams that rely on Stealth for survival.

Special – Maxed Special allows Wolverine’s damage output to increase, and his Rebound Chain will now hit up to 5 enemies instead of just 3. This means his attack will not only deal significantly more damage overall but also apply Bleed to a greater number of opponents. The upgrade makes Wolverine much more effective at spreading damage and debuffs across the enemy team, especially in large-scale battles.

Storm (Mighty)

Passive – At max level, Storm (Mighty)’s Passive provides a major boost in Cosmic Crucible for both her and the Exalted X-Men team. On Spawn in Crucible, she automatically applies Exposed to all Controller enemies with +500% Extra Focus, making it extremely unlikely to fail. Since Storm (Mighty)’s kit heavily relies on the Exposed debuff to amplify her damage and control, this upgrade not only increases her passive damage but also greatly enhances her ability to control the flow of battle. It’s a must-have upgrade for maximizing her impact and the overall effectiveness of the Exalted X-Men in Crucible.

Ultimate – With her Ultimate fully upgraded, Storm (Mighty) will apply Exposed to all enemies—instead of just 3 random ones—which is a huge improvement for setting up both her own damage and the team’s control. But the upgrade doesn’t stop there. In Crucible, if she has at least three Exalted X-Men allies, her Ultimate will also Stun the two enemies with the highest Speed. This provides a massive boost to your ability to control the fight, shutting down the opponent’s fastest and often most dangerous threats right at the start of the battle. It’s a game-changing upgrade for both offense and control.

Jubilee

Passive – When Jubilee’s Passive is fully upgraded, the first time she or any non-Support Exalted X-Men ally drops below 50% Max Health, she will automatically apply Defense Up for 1 turn and Stealth for 2 turns to that character. Additionally, in Crucible, she will also provide Barrier and Heal to that character for 15% of her own Max Health. This is an excellent upgrade, as it passively boosts both the Exalted X-Men team’s sustain and mitigation, helping them survive critical moments.

Morph

Passive – When Morph’s Passive is fully upgraded, he will, on any turn, flip Darkness into Safeguard if he has that debuff. If he has at least three Exalted X-Men allies, then whenever any Exalted X-Men ally receives Darkness, Morph will flip Darkness into Safeguard for all X-Men. This is a fantastic upgrade, turning one of the most troublesome effects in the game—Darkness—into a powerful advantage for the Exalted X-Men team, providing them with extra protection.

Ultimate – With his Ultimate fully upgraded, Morph deals increased damage and copies all positive effects from the primary and adjacent targets to himself (up from only 2 positive effects from each). This means that when Morph uses his maxed Ultimate, he can gain far more buffs, greatly boosting his own power and survivability after the attack. It’s a significant upgrade that maximizes both his offensive and defensive potential.

Recommended

  • Angel – Basic
  • Wolverine – Ultimate and Basic
  • Jubilee – Ultimate and Special
  • Morph – Special and Basic

Angel

Basic – When Angel’s Basic ability is maxed out, it deals increased damage and applies Regeneration to himself and all Exalted X-Men allies (upgraded from only applying Regeneration to three random Exalted X-Men allies or himself). The logic is simple: with a maxed Basic, the entire team consistently receives Regeneration whenever Angel uses this ability, greatly improving their sustain. If the Basic is not maxed, only three random team members receive Regeneration, leaving two allies without this healing effect. For maximum team survivability and reliability, fully upgrading Angel’s Basic is definitely the way to go.

Wolverine

Ultimate – At max level, Wolverine’s Ultimate deals 400% Piercing damage, up from 300% when not fully upgraded. This is a significant damage boost, especially considering that if Wolverine defeats an opponent with his Ultimate, he immediately repeats the attack on the enemy with the lowest HP. This upgrade greatly increases his potential to eliminate multiple threats in a single turn, making his Ultimate even more deadly and impactful in critical moments.

Basic – With a maxed Basic, Wolverine will deal slightly increased damage and apply 2 Bleed effects instead of just 1. This makes a noticeable difference, especially since Wolverine excels as a Striker—every extra Bleed he applies increases the pressure on opponents and amplifies his single-target threat. This upgrade enhances his damage-over-time potential and makes his Basic even more valuable in both sustained and burst-focused battles.

Jubilee

Ultimate – With her Ultimate fully upgraded, Jubilee will deal increased damage to all enemies and reduce the Speed Bar of the primary target by 25% instead of 15%. Against teams that don’t block Speed Bar manipulation, this is an excellent upgrade, giving you even greater control over turn order and momentum. However, since many teams—especially in Crucible—can prevent Speed Bar reduction, this upgrade isn’t essential in every matchup, but it’s still a strong improvement for the right situations.

Special – Max level Special will allow Jubilee to deal increased damage and apply Offense Up to herself and all X-Men allies (up from three random X-Men allies or herself). This means the entire team benefits from Offense Up whenever Jubilee uses her Special, not just three characters. It’s a solid upgrade that boosts the offensive potential of the whole squad.

Morph

Special – When Morph’s Special is fully upgraded, he will repeat the attack three times instead of two. This significantly increases his overall damage with this ability, especially since his Special has 100% Crit Chance, resulting in even higher burst potential. The impact is even greater in Crucible, where this attack deals double damage. Maxing this ability not only boosts Morph’s offensive output but also makes him a true threat in Cosmic Crucible battles.

Basic – With his Basic at max level, Morph will deal increased damage and copy 3 random positive effects from the primary target (up from 2 positive effects when not maxed). This upgrade gives Morph even more opportunities to stack valuable buffs, further increasing his offensive and defensive capabilities with every use of his Basic.

Red Stars and Diamonds

Getting 7 Red Stars on the new characters Storm (Mighty), Angel, and Morph shouldn’t be complicated, as long as you open Elite Red Star Orbs when he is featured there. Wolverine and Jubilee are older characters so plenty of players might have them at high Red Stars already.

You could also get Red Stars for them from the Incursion Campaign:

  • 7 Red Stars for Wolverine- Incursion 6-7
  • 7 Red Stars for Jubilee – Incursion 6-1

When the Storm (Mighty), Angel, and Morph becomes farmable and free-to-play players are able to collect 7 Yellow/Red Stars for them, we also recommend using Diamonds for them (at least 3 Diamonds, ideally 5)

For the four reworked characters, we also recommend a minimum of 3 Diamonds. Ideally 5.

Diamonds priority:

  1. Storm (Mighty)
  2. Angel
  3. Morph
  4. Jubilee
  5. Wolverine

    • In Crucible, enemies cannot have their Speed increased except by positive effects

Team Mechanics

Exalted X-Men represent a unique take on the legendary mutant team, set within a storyline that explores alternate realities and new interpretations of familiar heroes. The concept of the Exalted X-Men first appeared in the “X-Treme X-Men” series, where the idea was to gather powerful mutants from across the multiverse to face threats too great for any single world to handle.

The Exalted X-Men embody the enduring themes of teamwork, diversity, and resilience that define the X-Men legacy. Their stories focus on uniting mutants with different backgrounds and abilities, working together to overcome powerful adversaries and protect the fabric of reality. This creative approach allowed Marvel to reimagine classic heroes in new ways, often giving them different powers, personalities, or destinies, while still holding true to the core values of the X-Men.

Through their adventures, the Exalted X-Men showcase what makes the X-Men concept so compelling—adaptability, unity in diversity, and the willingness to stand up for what is right, no matter the odds or the universe they find themselves in.

In Marvel Strike Force, the Exalted X-Men are a dynamic new team introduced during the Age of Fear. This powerful squad consists of Storm (Mighty) as the team leader, alongside Angel, Morph, Wolverine, and Jubilee. Each member brings unique abilities and valuable synergy to both new and veteran players.

Storm (Mighty) is the cornerstone of the team and the first required character for the Age of Fear event. She leads the Exalted X-Men as they face the Breakers—dangerous adversaries threatening to plunge the world into chaos. With her enhanced powers and leadership, Storm (Mighty) helps unite the team and maximize their effectiveness in battle.

Unlike some teams that originate from alternate realities, the Exalted X-Men in Marvel Strike Force are presented as empowered versions of classic heroes, specially selected to take on the challenges of the Age of Fear storyline. Their presence expands the mutant roster and offers new strategic options across various game modes.

Each member of the team is carefully designed to work together, utilizing unique skills and mechanics that encourage teamwork and adaptability. The Exalted X-Men embody the spirit of unity and resilience, standing strong against overwhelming odds and inspiring players to rise to new challenges.

Their introduction marks an exciting chapter in Marvel Strike Force, blending familiar faces with new twists and gameplay opportunities. As the Age of Fear unfolds, the Exalted X-Men prove that even in the darkest times, hope, courage, and teamwork can turn the tide.

Exalted X-Men are designed as a top-tier team specializing in the Cosmic Crucible game mode. Their mutant abilities synergize perfectly to counter some of the strongest opponents in the game—including formidable characters like Professor Xavier and the PvP defensive powerhouse, Blue Marvel. The team also excels at taking down other elite Crucible squads, making them a must-have for competitive players.

Each Exalted X-Men member brings a unique mechanic to the table, reflecting both their exceptional mutant gifts and the advanced strategies they’ve learned under Professor Xavier’s mentorship. Notably, the team is especially resistant to Mind-Control tactics, giving them an edge against manipulation-heavy opponents.

One of their most distinctive strengths is their total immunity to any Speed manipulation within the Cosmic Crucible. Neither Speed Bar nor Speed stat can be manipulated, allowing the Exalted X-Men to maintain control of the battle’s tempo. In addition, they can completely prevent enemy assists, apply the Exposed debuff to all foes, and then expertly exploit it for maximum damage and nasty debuffs on opponents.

Sustainability is another hallmark of the team. They possess strong healing capabilities and can passively flip negative effects into positive buffs. The team’s support, Angel, introduces a unique Vitality mechanic—while Vitality is active, Angel can flip debuffs into buffs, heal the team, and grant immunity to Bleed, Trauma, Heal Block, and Vulnerable. This mechanic makes the team extremely hard to wear down, as long as Vitality remains.

Offensively, the Exalted X-Men pack a punch. They excel at applying persistent debuffs to enemies and can reduce the duration of Immunity buffs, ensuring their debuffs land consistently. Even Darkness effects are no threat to this team; they can passively convert Darkness into Safeguard, protecting their own buffs from removal.

Altogether, the Exalted X-Men are a premier Cosmic Crucible team—combining creative mechanics, high damage output, and unparalleled resilience. Their powerful toolkit makes them a dominant force in one of Marvel Strike Force’s most challenging competitive modes.

It’s important to note that all Exalted X-Men characters are also considered X-Men in Marvel Strike Force. This means that any abilities, traits, or team synergies that apply to X-Men will also apply to Exalted X-Men characters. As a result, they can benefit from effects, buffs, and bonuses designed for X-Men teams, making them even more versatile and powerful within the game’s various modes.

Angel

Angel, whose real name is Warren Worthington III, is one of Marvel’s most iconic and enduring mutant superheroes. Angel is a founding member of the X-Men and has played a vital role in the team’s history.

Warren was born into a wealthy family and lived a privileged life until his mutant powers emerged during his teenage years. He developed large, feathered wings that allow him to fly at incredible speeds and altitudes. In addition to flight, Angel has enhanced vision, agility, and healing abilities, making him a formidable hero both in the air and on the ground.

Despite his privileged upbringing, Warren has struggled with feelings of isolation and the burden of being visibly different. This personal conflict has been a central theme in his storylines, highlighting the challenges that many mutants face in a world that fears and misunderstands them.

Angel’s journey took a dramatic turn when he was transformed into Archangel by the villain Apocalypse. In this form, his wings were replaced with razor-sharp metal feathers, and his personality became darker and more aggressive. Although he eventually regained his original form, the experience left a lasting impact on his character, adding depth and complexity to his role within the X-Men.

Throughout his history, Angel has been known for his compassion, bravery, and unwavering commitment to the ideals of the X-Men. He often uses his resources to support fellow mutants and has served as a leader and mentor within the team.

Angel’s story is a testament to the power of hope, redemption, and the enduring belief that even those who appear different can become heroes. His character continues to inspire fans as a symbol of resilience, acceptance, and the freedom to soar above adversity.

Angel is the dedicated Support for the Exalted X-Men team in Marvel Strike Force, acting as a true guardian with an impressive array of abilities. His healing, Barrier, Defense Up, and Deathproof buffs keep his allies safe and resilient throughout the toughest battles. However, what truly sets Angel apart is his unique Vitality mechanic—a new buff exclusive to him in the game.

When Angel has Vitality and is attacked by enemies, he immediately heals his Exalted X-Men allies, flips three of their negative effects into positive ones, and applies Defense Up for two turns. In the Cosmic Crucible game mode, Angel’s Vitality grants additional protection: he receives Damage Reduction, and his Exalted X-Men teammates and himself become immune to Bleed, Heal Block, Vulnerable, and Trauma as long as Vitality is active. This makes Angel an essential source of mitigation and sustainability for the team.

Angel’s abilities allow him to flip negative effects into positive buffs, provide healing, Barrier, Regeneration, and apply Deathproof to himself and his allies. Although he is a slower character, this works in his favor—his turns last longer, which means he maintains the Vitality buff for a greater period, maximizing his team’s survivability.

At the start of the battle, Angel gains Taunt, drawing enemy attacks and protecting his Exalted X-Men team. If he cannot gain Taunt due to the opponent’s passive abilities, Angel instead applies Stealth to all Exalted X-Men allies, ensuring enemies can only target him. This clever mechanic makes Angel the team’s primary protector, allowing his allies to focus on their roles without interruption.

Overall, Angel is crucial for the Exalted X-Men’s success. He offers outstanding protection and sustain, enabling the rest of the team to do their job effectively and dominate their opponents. His unique toolkit makes him one of the most valuable Support characters in Marvel Strike Force, truly living up to his name as the guardian angel of his team.

When using Basic, Angel attacks the primary target for 280% damage. At the same time, he applies Regeneration to himself and all of his Exalted X-Men allies, providing ongoing healing that boosts the team’s survivability. After performing this attack, Angel loses his Vitality buff, which is a key aspect of his kit.

A unique feature of this ability is its safety when mind control effects force Angel to attack one of his own Exalted X-Men teammates. In such cases, the attack deals reduced damage and never reduces the target’s Max Health, helping to prevent huge friendly fire damage. Additionally, Angel’s Basic attack cannot be counterattacked, making it a reliable and secure option but less desirable due to the loss of Vitality.

With  Iso-8 / Counter Attack / Assist, he attacks the primary target for 191% damage plus an additional 17% as Piercing damage. After this attack, Angel grants Regeneration to himself and all Exalted X-Men allies, helping the team recover health. If Angel is ever forced to attack one of his own Exalted X-Men teammates due to mind control or similar effects, he deals reduced damage and never lowers their Max Health with this attack

Angel’s Special ability can be used right from his first turn, requiring six Ability Energy to activate. With this move, Angel attacks the primary target for 250% damage and then chains the attack to up to four adjacent enemies, dealing 250% damage to each. Beyond his offensive impact, Angel demonstrates powerful support: he flips all negative effects into positive effects for himself and all allies, and grants Defense Up for two turns to everyone on the team.

Additionally, Angel creates a Barrier for himself and all X-Men allies equal to 15% of his Max Health, offering extra protection against incoming damage. He also heals himself and all X-Men allies for 25% of his Max Health, providing significant team sustain. To make this ability even more reliable, it cannot be counterattacked. Altogether, Angel’s Special is a versatile tool that combines strong multi-target offense with robust healing, buffing, and protection, solidifying his vital role on the Exalted X-Men team.

Ultimate is also available on Angel’s first turn, costing six Ability Energy. When activated, Angel flips all negative effects into positive effects for himself and all Exalted X-Men allies, ensuring that the team recovers from any debuffs.

He then attacks the primary target and all adjacent enemies, dealing 350% damage to each. On top of this, Angel applies two Deathproof buffs to himself and all allies, greatly increasing their survivability. He also provides a Barrier to himself and all X-Men allies equal to 20% of his Max Health, and heals the same group for 30% of his Max Health, delivering substantial protection and recovery.

Importantly, this attack cannot be counterattacked, making it a safe and reliable option in any confrontation. Angel’s Ultimate is a powerful blend of healing and team-wide protection, reinforcing his crucial role as a guardian and support for the Exalted X-Men.

Angel’s Passive ability provides powerful defensive and supportive effects for the Exalted X-Men, especially at the start of battle and in the Cosmic Crucible game mode. When the fight begins, Angel grants a Barrier to himself and all Exalted X-Men allies equal to 20% of his Max Health and applies Defense Up to them for two turns. He also gains the unique Vitality buff and Taunt for two turns, drawing enemy attacks and protecting his team. If, for any reason, Angel cannot gain Taunt, he instead applies Stealth to all Exalted X-Men allies for two turns, ensuring that enemies can only target him.

Whenever Angel is attacked and still has Vitality, he heals all Exalted X-Men allies for 10% of his Max Health, flips three negative effects into positive effects for the team, and reapplies Defense Up for two turns to himself and all Exalted X-Men allies. This combination of healing, cleansing, and protection makes his presence invaluable.

In the Cosmic Crucible mode, Angel’s passive becomes even more impactful. While he has Vitality and at least three Exalted X-Men allies with him, he gains 50% Damage Reduction (up to a maximum of 80%), making him extremely resilient. Additionally, he and all Exalted X-Men allies become immune to Bleed, Trauma, Heal Block, and Vulnerable for as long as Vitality is active, further reinforcing the team’s durability against some of the most disruptive debuffs in the game.

Wolverine

James “Logan” Howlett – Wolverine is one of Marvel’s most iconic and enduring superheroes. Wolverine quickly became a central figure in the X-Men universe and a fan favorite due to his fierce attitude, complex personality, and extraordinary powers.

Wolverine’s mutant abilities include superhuman senses, strength, agility, and, most notably, a powerful healing factor that allows him to recover from almost any wound, injury, or disease at an accelerated rate. This rapid regeneration makes him nearly impossible to kill and greatly slows his aging process, giving him a long and mysterious past. Additionally, Wolverine possesses retractable claws made of bone, which were later coated with the virtually indestructible metal adamantium, making them razor-sharp and capable of cutting through almost anything.

A significant part of Wolverine’s story revolves around his struggle with his own nature. He is often portrayed as a lone wolf, battling his inner rage and animal instincts while striving to do what’s right. Despite his tough and sometimes gruff exterior, Wolverine is deeply loyal to his friends and teammates and is willing to make great sacrifices for those he cares about.

Throughout his history, Wolverine has been a member of various teams, including the X-Men, X-Force, the Avengers, and even the Canadian superhero group Alpha Flight. He has taken on countless enemies, from ordinary criminals to powerful supervillains, and his adventures have spanned the globe and beyond.

Wolverine’s enduring popularity comes from his complex character—a combination of relentless determination, vulnerability, and a search for redemption. He embodies the idea that no matter how dark one’s past may be, it is possible to fight for a better future. Wolverine remains a symbol of resilience, courage, and the unbreakable spirit of Marvel’s mutant heroes.

In Marvel Strike Force, Wolverine takes on the role of a Brawler, capable of inflicting massive damage on his enemies. While his offensive power is immediately apparent, Wolverine also brings a suite of remarkable abilities that enhance his overall impact in battle.

All of Wolverine’s attacks deal Piercing damage, which means they ignore enemy Armor and hit even harder. He excels at applying Bleed to his targets, weakening them over time, and can strike both single and multiple enemies depending on the situation and usage of his abilities. Wolverine’s Ultimate ability is particularly lethal: if he defeats an enemy with it, he will immediately repeat the attack on the most injured opponent, making it possible for him to eliminate two foes in one devastating turn.

Survivability is another of Wolverine’s trademarks. He passively heals himself on turn during battle, and when defeated, he has a 25% chance to revive. This chance jumps to 100% if he is fighting alongside at least three Exalted X-Men allies, ensuring that as long as his team is intact, Wolverine will keep getting back up—unless the enemy uses attacks that block revives. Furthermore, whenever Wolverine drops below 50% health, he gains a 100% Block Chance, allowing him to deflect the majority of incoming attacks and greatly boosting his durability.

When Wolverine is part of an Exalted X-Men team (with at least three allies), he provides important team-wide benefits. He prevents opponents from assisting each other, and any enemy who falls below 50% health cannot gain Stealth, making them easy targets. Wolverine also has a special synergy with Morph: in Cosmic Crucible, at the start of each of his turns, he extends the duration of all positive effects on Morph by one turn, helping Morph maintain crucial buffs longer.

Combining overwhelming offensive power with exceptional mitigation and team support, Wolverine is a fearsome force on the battlefield and an important member of the Exalted X-Men. His relentless nature and powerful abilities make him both a deadly attacker and a resilient character for his team.

Basic ability allows Wolverine to strike the primary target for 260% Piercing damage, ensuring that his attack bypasses the opponent’s Armor and deals significant harm. Alongside this powerful hit, he applies both Bleed and Disrupted to the enemy, making it harder for them to heal or receive buffs. After the attack, Wolverine gains Speed Up, boosting his turn meter and allowing him to play more quickly in subsequent rounds.

If Wolverine is ever forced to attack an Exalted X-Men ally—such as through mind control—he deals reduced damage with this attack, and it will never decrease their Max Health. This ensures that Wolverine remains a reliable and safe asset to his own team, even in the face of enemy manipulation.

Special can be used right on Wolverine’s first turn, costing only four Ability Energy. With this move, he attacks the primary target for 300% Piercing damage and applies Bleed, ensuring significant direct damage and ongoing health loss for the enemy. After the initial strike, he performs a rebound chain, hitting up to five additional targets for 300% Piercing damage each and applying Bleed to every one of them.

This attack is highly reliable, as it cannot be counterattacked, cannot miss, and cannot be blocked. These properties make Wolverine’s Special both a devastating offensive tool and a consistent way to spread Bleed across multiple enemies.

Wolverine’s Ultimate requires five Ability Energy and becomes available on his second turn, delivering a devastating blow to one or maybe even two of his enemies. When used, Wolverine first gains Offense Up for two turns, significantly increasing the damage of his attacks. He then reduces Deathproof on the primary target by two, making them more vulnerable to being taken down.

Wolverine follows up by attacking the primary target for 400% Piercing damage and applies two stacks of Bleed, ensuring heavy immediate and ongoing damage. If this attack defeats the target, Wolverine immediately repeats the attack against the most injured remaining enemy, potentially taking out two opponents in one turn.

This Ultimate is both Unavoidable and cannot be blocked, guaranteeing it will hit its intended targets. Additionally, any enemies defeated by this attack cannot be revived, making Wolverine an excellent choice for eliminating key threats permanently from the battlefield.

Passive ability makes Wolverine both resilient and a valuable team player on the Exalted X-Men squad. At the start of each of his turns, Wolverine heals himself for 20% of his Max Health, ensuring steady self-sustain throughout the battle. In Cosmic Crucible, he also extends the duration of all positive effects on a random Morph ally by one turn, up to a maximum of three, helping Morph stay powered up for longer.

When Wolverine’s health drops below 50%, he gains a 100% Block Chance, allowing him to deflect nearly all incoming attacks and dramatically increasing his survivability. If Wolverine is defeated, he has a 25% chance to revive with 50% of his Max Health. This revival chance increases to 100% when he has at least three Exalted X-Men allies, meaning he can continually return to the fight unless stopped by revive-preventing effects.

With three or more Exalted X-Men allies, Wolverine brings further advantages to his team: enemies below 50% Health cannot gain Stealth, making them easier to target and eliminate, and he passively lowers all enemies’ Assist Chance by 100%, preventing them from assisting each other in battle. Altogether, Wolverine’s passive abilities combine powerful self-healing, revival, defensive mitigation, and crucial teamwide control, cementing his role as both a fearsome attacker and a durable anchor for the Exalted X-Men.

Storm (Mighty)

Ororo Munroe is one of Marvel’s most iconic mutants and a longtime leader of the X-Men. In her “Mighty” form in Marvel Strike Force, Storm (Mighty) stands out as the leader of the Exalted X-Men, combining her classic weather-controlling powers with powerful new mechanics that make her a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield.

From her earliest days, Storm has been celebrated for her ability to manipulate the weather on a global scale, summoning lightning, hurricanes, and blizzards at will. She is revered not only for her powers but also for her wisdom, compassion, and natural leadership. As a queen, warrior, and mentor, Ororo has always inspired those around her, and these qualities shine through even more in her Mighty version.

In Marvel Strike Force, Storm (Mighty) takes her elemental mastery to new heights. She leads the Exalted X-Men with devastating area-of-effect attacks that can overwhelm enemy teams, as well as support abilities that empower her allies. Her skills allow her to manipulate battlefield conditions, control the flow of combat, and provide both offensive and defensive advantages. Storm (Mighty) excels at applying debuffs to enemies, boosting her team’s damage potential, and ensuring the Exalted X-Men remain one step ahead of their opponents.

Her leadership is especially crucial in the Age of Fear event, where she is the first required character and the cornerstone of the Exalted X-Men team. Under her command, the team gains valuable bonuses, powerful synergies, and enhanced survivability—allowing them to counter some of the strongest threats in the game.

Storm (Mighty) embodies the spirit of resilience and hope that defines the X-Men. She is not only a master of the elements but also a symbol of unity and strength, guiding her team through every storm and challenge they face. In both Marvel lore and Marvel Strike Force, Storm (Mighty) stands tall as a legendary leader and a true hero.

Storm (Mighty) is the Blaster and a pivotal member of the Exalted X-Men team in Marvel Strike Force. She stands out for her exceptional damage output and her ability to control the flow of battle, providing her team with a significant strategic edge. Storm (Mighty)’s attacks are not only powerful but also packed with control effects that can disrupt enemy plans and secure victory for her allies.

One of Storm (Mighty)’s most impactful features is that any enemy she defeats cannot be revived, making her an ideal counter to teams that rely on revival mechanics. Her passive abilities shine especially in the Cosmic Crucible game mode: at the start of battle, she automatically applies the Exposed debuff to all Controller enemies, severely reducing their effectiveness. She can also apply Exposed with her Ultimate ability in any game mode, setting up enemies for brutal follow-up attacks.

Storm (Mighty) excels at exploiting the Exposed debuff. In Crucible, she passively lowers the Damage, Resistance, and Armor of all enemies suffering from Exposed, making them much easier targets for her team. Whenever an enemy with Exposed takes a turn, Storm (Mighty) automatically delivers a punishing attack. In Crucible, this attack is even more disruptive—she reduces the duration of Immunity, applies Silence, and if the target is a Mutant, she also applies Ability Block, further limiting their options.

Her control doesn’t stop there. Storm (Mighty) can clear Revive Once from all enemies, reduce the duration of Deathproof, and apply Slow to hinder opponents. In Crucible, she can even Stun the two fastest enemies on the opposing team, shutting down their most dangerous threats.

These abilities make Storm (Mighty) the linchpin of the Exalted X-Men, dictating the pace of battle, neutralizing key foes, and ensuring her team has every opportunity to dominate the fight. Her combination of high damage, crowd control, and anti-revival effects cements her status as a must-have character for anyone looking to maximize the power of the Exalted X-Men in Marvel Strike Force.

Storm (Mighty)’s Basic ability is a potent single-target attack that combines serious damage with disruptive debuffs. When used, she attacks the primary target for 320% damage, applies two stacks of Bleed for one turn, and inflicts Heal Block for two turns, making it much harder for the enemy to recover health. If Storm (Mighty) is ever forced to attack an Exalted X-Men ally—such as under mind control—she deals reduced damage, and her attack will never reduce that ally’s Max Health, ensuring team safety even in chaotic situations.

With  Iso-8 / Counter Attack / Assist, she hits the primary target for 214% damage plus an additional 17% Piercing, still applying two Bleed and Heal Block. The same thing applies: if she’s forced to target an Exalted X-Men ally, the damage is reduced, and Max Health remains untouched. This makes her Basic a reliable source of damage and debuffs, while still protecting her teammates from unintended harm.

Special can be activated right from her first turn, costing five Ability Energy. With this powerful ability, she attacks the primary target and all adjacent foes, first reducing the duration of Deathproof by two turns on anyone who has the Exposed debuff. She then attacks all these targets for 300% Piercing damage, ensuring her strikes bypass enemy Armor for maximum impact.

Additionally, Storm (Mighty) reduces the duration of Immunity buffs by two turns on the same targets, applies Slow for two turns to hinder their speed, and inflicts Heal Block for two turns, limiting their ability to recover. This Special attack is Unavoidable, meaning it cannot be dodged or evaded, and it ignores Defense Up, ensuring that even heavily protected enemies take full damage and debuffs.

Ultimate ability costs six Ability Energy and, like her Special, can be used on her first turn. When used, she applies Exposed to all enemies and clears the Revive Once buff from every opponent, making it impossible for them to return to battle after being defeated. She then attacks all enemies for 400% damage, reduces the duration of Immunity by two turns, and applies Slow for two turns, severely hampering their speed and defenses.

In Cosmic Crucible, if Storm (Mighty) is teamed with at least three Exalted X-Men allies, she also stuns the two enemies with the highest Speed, effectively neutralizing the enemy’s fastest threats. This attack gains +500% Extra Focus, making it extremely difficult to resist or avoid. Additionally, the Ultimate cannot be dodged or blocked, guaranteeing its impact on the battlefield.

Storm (Mighty)’s Passive cements her as a game-changing force for the Exalted X-Men in Marvel Strike Force. Any enemy she defeats cannot be revived, ensuring her takedowns are permanent. Whenever an enemy with Exposed is attacked, Storm (Mighty) passively reduces the duration of Immunity on that character by two, and this action benefits from +500% Extra Focus, making it almost impossible to resist.

On every enemy turn, if that character has Exposed, Storm (Mighty) automatically attacks them for 250% Piercing damage. In Cosmic Crucible, this retaliation also reduces the duration of Immunity by two, applies Silence, and if the enemy is a Mutant, applies Ability Block, severely limiting their actions.

Still in Crucible, if Storm (Mighty) is teamed up with at least three Exalted X-Men allies, enemies cannot become Empowered, and until Storm (Mighty) takes a turn, enemies are prevented from gaining Defense Up. At the start of battle, she also applies Exposed to all Controller enemies, again with +500% Extra Focus to ensure it lands.

Finally, Storm (Mighty) passively lowers the Damage and Resistance of all enemies with Exposed by 50% (but not below 50%), and reduces their Armor by 100%, making them much more vulnerable to attacks from herself and her team. Especially after she uses Ultimate and applies Exposed to all enemies.

Jubilee

Bursting onto the scene with her trademark sunglasses and a flash of neon, Jubilee embodies the very spirit of youthful rebellion and hope within the X-Men. Her life took a dramatic turn after tragedy struck her family, forcing her to fend for herself in the shopping malls of California. It was there, amidst the chaos and crowds, that her mutant powers first manifested—dazzling bursts of energy that she would later wield as both a shield and a weapon.

Jubilee’s addition to the X-Men brought a fresh perspective and a contagious zest for life. She forged a close bond with Wolverine, becoming his loyal companion and proving time and again that she was more than just the “kid” of the team. Whether charging headfirst into danger or lightening the mood with her quirky sense of humor, Jubilee’s courage and creativity have saved the day on more than one occasion.

Her journey has been anything but ordinary. Stripped of her powers during one of the darkest chapters for mutantkind, she faced new challenges as a vampire, battling inner demons while never losing her innate optimism. Even when her own light seemed dimmed, Jubilee’s resolve shone through, and she eventually reclaimed her mutant gifts—stronger and more determined than ever.

Today, Jubilee stands as a beacon of resilience and positivity. She reminds her fellow X-Men—and all who know her—that hope can spark even in the darkest moments, and that sometimes, the brightest fireworks come from the most unexpected places.

Jubilee is a Legendary Controller, blending disruptive control with notable damage potential. She can both passively and actively grant Assist Now and Offense Up to herself and her X-Men allies, amplifying the team’s offensive capabilities. Jubilee excels at spreading negative effects across the enemy team (if she manages to kill the primary target with her Special), reducing an opponent’s Speed Bar while stunning them, applying Slow to all enemies, and even inflicting Blind on key targets to disrupt their attacks.

Her influence on the flow of battle is especially apparent when an opponent is defeated—Jubilee passively fills the Speed Bar for herself and her Exalted X-Men teammates, ensuring the team keeps up the pressure. When she finds herself in danger, and her Health drops below 50%, she automatically empowers Wolverine by granting him Offense Up and 1 Ability Energy, giving him the boost he needs to strike back.

Jubilee also provides vital support, passively watching over her non-Support Exalted X-Men allies. Whenever one of them (apart from Angel, the Support) drops below half health, Jubilee immediately applies Defense Up and Stealth to help them survive. In the Cosmic Crucible game mode, she further enhances their resilience by granting Barrier and a burst of healing. While she may not be the fastest character, Jubilee’s versatile toolkit and synergy make her an indispensable part of the Exalted X-Men lineup, capable of turning the tide of battle with her timely buffs, debuffs, and strategic support.

Jubilee’s Basic delivers a solid attack, striking the primary target for 290% damage. If she is teamed up with at least three Exalted X-Men allies, her attack also applies Blind to the target, making their next attack much less likely to hit. When Jubilee is forced to attack an Exalted X-Men ally—such as through mind control—she deals reduced damage, and her attack will never lower that ally’s Max Health. This ensures that Jubilee remains a safe and reliable presence for her team, even in unpredictable combat situations.

Special ability is ready to use from Jubilee’s very first turn, costing five Ability Energy. With this move, she applies Offense Up to herself and all X-Men allies, boosting the team’s damage output. Jubilee then attacks the primary target for 300% damage and immediately calls for assists from three random X-Men allies—potentially overwhelming the target with a barrage of follow-up attacks.

If the primary target is defeated by this onslaught, Jubilee spreads three negative effects from that enemy to all other opponents, with the exception of Stun, which cannot be spread. Against teams that don’t block assists, this Special can be devastating, often resulting in an easy takedown of the primary target. The attack is Unavoidable and cannot be Blocked, guaranteeing that its effects land and making it a powerful tool for controlling the pace of battle.

Ultimate costs four Ability Energy and, like Special, can be used on Jubilee’s first turn. In Cosmic Crucible, if she is fighting alongside at least three Exalted X-Men allies, she first reduces the duration of Immunity on the primary target by two turns. She then attacks the primary target for 300% Piercing damage, reduces their Speed Bar by 25%, and applies Stun, effectively neutralizing them for a turn.

After dealing with the main target, Jubilee attacks all other enemies for 300% Piercing damage, ensuring significant pressure across the entire opposing team. To further control the flow of battle, she applies Slow to all enemies, making them play less frequently and giving her team a clear advantage in speed and momentum.

Jubilee’s Passive ability is all about enhancing her team’s momentum and survivability. Whenever an enemy is defeated, she fills the Speed Bar by 25% for herself and all Exalted X-Men allies, ensuring the team can play quickly and maintain pressure on the opposition. On every turn taken by herself or an X-Men ally, Jubilee applies Assist Now either to herself or to a random X-Men ally, enabling frequent assist attacks.

When Jubilee’s Health drops below 50%, she immediately buffs a random Wolverine ally with Offense Up and grants them 1 Ability Energy, giving Wolverine the tools to strike back harder. Furthermore, whenever Jubilee or any non-Support Exalted X-Men ally falls below half health, she provides that character with Defense Up for one turn and Stealth for two turns, helping them survive targeted attacks. In Cosmic Crucible, she further strengthens their endurance by also granting Barrier and Healing equal to 15% of her Max Health.

Morph

Shapeshifting, wit, and unpredictable energy—Morph is one of the most unique and entertaining members ever to join the X-Men. Known for his ever-changing appearance and a knack for comic relief, Morph brings both versatility and heart to any team he’s part of.

Morph is most often associated with the character Kevin Sydney, a mutant whose powers allow him to alter his shape, size, and even voice at will. This makes him a master of infiltration, disguise, and subterfuge, capable of sowing confusion among enemies or turning the tide of battle with a well-timed impersonation.

Beyond his shapeshifting abilities, Morph is beloved for his sense of humor and optimism. Whether lightening the mood after a tough fight or using his powers to play pranks on teammates, he embodies the idea that joy and resilience go hand in hand—even in the darkest times. Morph’s unique perspective and flexibility have helped him earn the trust and affection of the X-Men, who rely on him for both his tactical value and his ability to lift team spirits.

Over the years, Morph has appeared in various alternate realities, often as the heart of the team who can adapt to any situation. His story is a testament to the importance of being true to oneself and embracing change, no matter what form it takes. For both fans and fellow heroes, Morph represents the unpredictable magic that keeps the X-Men’s world endlessly surprising.

Morph brings unmatched speed and versatility to the Exalted X-Men as a Brawler, taking the initiative in nearly every fight thanks to his impressive Speed stat of 134. This allows him to act before most opponents, setting the tone of battle in favor of his team right from the start.

At the beginning of combat, Morph disrupts classic defensive strategies by preventing enemies from hiding behind Taunt. Before he even takes his first turn, if any enemy has Taunt, he applies Taunt to all opponents and blocks them from gaining Offense Up, immediately destabilizing their plans. Morph’s unique anti-Darkness mechanic is another standout feature: if Darkness is applied to him, he instantly converts it into Safeguard, nullifying the debuff’s effect. When teamed with other Exalted X-Men, this benefit extends to the entire squad—any time an ally gains Darkness, Morph flips it to Safeguard for everyone, turning a dangerous debuff into a powerful protective buff.

Morph’s synergy with the Exalted X-Men goes even further. As long as he is with his team, he is completely immune to Silence and Disrupted, which is vital because his playstyle revolves around acquiring and stacking positive effects. In Cosmic Crucible, he takes team control to another level by preventing any kind of Speed stat or Speed Bar manipulation from opponents, helping the Exalted X-Men dominate in that game mode.

The more positive effects Morph has, the more his damage skyrockets. With his abilities, he can copy buffs from his targets and use them to amplify his own attacks, making him a constant threat to the enemy. Because he cannot be silenced or disrupted, he continuously gains and utilizes these positive effects, which keep his offensive power growing throughout the fight. Morph is not only a dynamic opener but also a dangerous damage dealer and a key to securing early momentum for the Exalted X-Men.

Morph’s Basic ability is both offensive and strategic. When used, he attacks the primary target for 320% damage and then copies three random positive effects from the target, excluding Taunt and Regeneration. These borrowed buffs enhance Morph’s own capabilities, making him stronger with each successful strike. If Morph is ever forced to attack an Exalted X-Men ally—such as through mind control—he deals reduced damage, and his attack will never lower that ally’s Max Health. This ensures Morph remains a reliable and safe asset for his team, even in unpredictable situations.

With Iso-8 / Counter Attack / Assist, Morph attacks the primary target for 224% damage plus an additional 17% Piercing. After hitting the target, Morph copies three random positive effects—excluding Taunt and Regeneration—from them, boosting his own strength and utility. If he is ever forced to attack an Exalted X-Men ally, he deals reduced damage and never decreases that ally’s Max Health, ensuring he remains a safe asset for his team even when affected by enemy control effects.

Morph’s Special can be used on his first turn, costing five Ability Energy. With this attack, Morph gains an extra 5% damage for each positive effect on the primary target, making his strike even more powerful against buffed opponents. He attacks the primary target for 100% damage, applies Bleed for one turn and Heal Block for two turns, and copies one random positive effect (excluding Taunt and Regeneration) from the target to himself.

On Crucible Defense, this attack will always target the enemy with the highest Focus, maximizing its disruptive potential. Morph repeats this attack three additional times, allowing him to apply multiple stacks of Bleed and Heal Block and to potentially steal several buffs. If Morph has at least three X-Men allies, this Special gains a guaranteed 100% Crit Chance, ensuring critical hits with every strike. In Cosmic Crucible, the entire attack deals double damage, turning Morph into a devastating threat as soon as the battle begins.

Ultimate costs six Ability Energy and becomes available on Morph’s second turn. When activated, Morph copies all positive effects—except Taunt and Regeneration—from the primary target and all adjacent enemies, including the powerful Safeguard buff. He then attacks the primary and adjacent targets for 350% damage, and the attack’s power is further amplified by dealing an additional 25% damage for every positive effect present on both himself and the primary target. This allows Morph to unleash a devastating blow, especially when facing heavily buffed opponents, while simultaneously bolstering his own arsenal of positive effects for future turns.

Through Passive ability Morph provides powerful control and protection for the Exalted X-Men, especially before he even takes his first turn. If any enemy has Taunt at the start of combat, Morph immediately applies Taunt for two turns to all enemies, making it much harder for them to hide behind a single protector. This action has +500% Extra Focus, ensuring it lands even against resistant foes. Additionally, before Morph plays, enemies are prevented from gaining Offense Up, limiting their offensive potential.

Morph’s defensive utility shines against Darkness debuffs. On any turn, if Morph is afflicted with Darkness, he automatically flips it into Safeguard, turning a dangerous debuff into a strong buff. When he has at least three Exalted X-Men allies, this benefit extends to the whole X-Men team: if any Exalted X-Men ally receives Darkness, Morph flips it into Safeguard for everyone, providing teamwide protection.

While teamed with three or more Exalted X-Men, Morph is immune to Silence and Disrupted, ensuring that his access to buffs and his ability to act remain unimpeded. In Cosmic Crucible, he further disrupts enemy strategies by blocking all Speed Bar manipulation—enemies cannot fill or reduce Speed Bar for themselves, their allies, or even their opponents, aside from normal turn progression. Additionally, in Crucible, enemies cannot have their Speed increased except through positive effects, while Morph and his allies can only have their Speed reduced by Slow, making the team especially resistant to most forms of Speed control. This combination of preemptive disruption, buff conversion, and Speed manipulation immunity makes Morph a crucial asset for the Exalted X-Men in competitive play.

Combat Tips & Tricks

The Exalted X-Men are designed to dominate the Crucible game mode and can easily counter some of the game’s most powerful characters, including Professor Xavier and Blue Marvel. Their strength is rooted in several key aspects.

First, the team features two extremely fast characters: Morph (Speed 134) and Storm (Mighty) (Speed 133). In most cases, these two will take their turns before 99% of opponents, giving the Exalted X-Men early control over the flow of battle. Second, they completely negate any form of Speed Bar or Speed Stat manipulation during Crucible fights, making their natural Speed advantage even more pronounced.

Third, Storm (Mighty) can apply the Exposed debuff both passively and actively, then exploit it to devastating effect against enemy teams. (You can read more about this synergy in the Team Mechanics section.) Fourth, Angel brings the unique Vitality buff to the team, making them immune to some of the most dangerous debuffs and negative effects in the game. He passively heals his teammates, flips negatives into positives, and provides himself with significant damage reduction.

Finally, the Exalted X-Men are highly resistant to mind control effects and friendly fire. Even when forced to attack their own teammates, they deal minimal damage and cannot permanently reduce Max Health, which means any damage inflicted can be easily healed. Altogether, these strengths make the Exalted X-Men one of the most resilient and controlling teams in the Crucible, able to take on even the toughest opponents with confidence.

Morph opens the battle for the Exalted X-Men, and thanks to his speed, he can strike first with his Special ability, dealing massive damage to an enemy of your choice—few opponents are able to hide from him, giving you control over your opening target. Next up is Storm (Mighty), who attacks all enemies at once, clears Revive Once from the entire opposing team, applies Exposed to everyone, reduces the duration of Immunity, and makes the enemies highly vulnerable to debuffs. She also stuns the two fastest opponents, effectively shutting down key threats before they can play.

Wolverine follows, unleashing his chain attack to dish out significant Piercing damage to multiple enemies. Jubilee then takes her turn, providing flexible control: with her Ultimate, she can stun a chosen target and deal strong damage across the enemy team, while her Special allows her to heavily damage—and in some cases, even defeat—an opponent, before spreading three of their negative effects to the rest of the enemy squad.

Angel plays last, but his turn is crucial for the team’s sustainability and momentum. He can use either his Ultimate or Special, both of which attack multiple enemies but, more importantly, flip all negatives into positives for the Exalted X-Men (since they’re immune to Trauma, nothing can prevent this effect), heal the entire team, and provide Barrier. The main difference is that his Special applies Defense Up for two turns to the whole team, while his Ultimate grants two stacks of Deathproof. This means that if the team already has Defense Up, it’s smarter to use the Ultimate for extra protection; if not, the Special further boosts the team’s mitigation.

This carefully orchestrated turn order and ability synergy allow the Exalted X-Men to control the flow of battle, disable threats before they become dangerous, and keep the team healthy and shielded—making them one of the most formidable squads in Crucible.

This is a team that’s expected to become the strongest option for Cosmic Crucible, where they can truly showcase their full potential. There’s even flexibility to swap out one of the members—such as Jubilee or Wolverine—for a top-tier plug-and-play character to further adapt and strengthen the squad. Removing Wolverine means losing his ability to block enemy assists and his remarkable resilience and damage, while swapping out Jubilee sacrifices her passive healing, barrier, and stealth in clutch moments, as well as her valuable control through debuffs. The choice depends largely on the opponents you’re facing and the specific needs of the match.

In many scenarios, though, there will be no need to replace anyone, as all five characters are perfectly integrated into the Exalted X-Men’s synergy. It’s also important to note that all their Crucible bonuses apply to both offense and defense, making this team a formidable force whether you use them to break through enemy lines or to anchor your own defense. Their adaptability, power, and layered mechanics are what set the Exalted X-Men apart as a premier Crucible team.
