Phoenix Force

VIDEO ADVERTISEMENT

Introduction

The Phoenix Force is currently a three-character team designed to be exceptionally strong in Crucible and other game modes. Each year, this team will gain one new member, similar to the Undying team.

The lineup consists of a reworked Phoenix character and two new characters: Omega Red (Phoenix Force) and Magneto (Phoenix Force). Together, they have strong synergy with other powerful plug-and-play characters, allowing for diverse team combinations. Phoenix is a Legendary character, while Omega Red (Phoenix Force) and Magneto (Phoenix Force) are Epic characters.

Phoenix is a Hero, while the other two are Villains. All three characters are Mutant and Global. Phoenix is a Controller, Omega Red (Phoenix Force) is a Brawler, and Magneto (Phoenix Force) is a Blaster.

Utility

  • Cosmic Crucible

They have outstanding bonuses in the Crucible for both attack and defense, making them a valuable asset in that game mode. Their abilities allow them to excel as an offensive or defensive force. Additionally, we will utilize them in War, as much of their kit is applicable across all game modes. When paired with other strong characters, they can achieve excellent results in this context as well.

Team Placement & Turn Order

Since there are only three characters, team placement is not very important, as none of them serve as protectors. However, it is preferable to place Phoenix in a corner, as she can draw the attention of opponents, allowing her to take damage, die, and activate Dark Phoenix. Omega Red (Phoenix Force) can be positioned anywhere on the battlefield, but it is best to place him in the opposite corner from Phoenix. Magneto (Phoenix Force) can be positioned in the middle.

Turn Order:

  1. Magneto (Phoenix Force) – Speed 129
  2. Omega Red (Phoenix Force) – Speed 120
  3. Phoenix – Speed 118

Iso-8 Classes

  • Phoenix Skirmisher / Raider
  • Magneto (Phoenix Force) – Striker / Raider
  • Omega Red (Phoenix Force) – Striker / Raider

Phoenix can be a good Skirmisher in the Phoenix Force team, as the team members frequently assist each other. This allows for an excellent Striker-Skirmisher combination if the other two Phoenix Force characters, or at least one of them, are set as Strikers.

In addition, Phoenix can also be set as a Striker or Raider, but in our opinion, it is best to give her the Skirmisher Iso-8 class, as the other two characters are able to make better use of the Raider and Striker classes with their abilities.

Magneto (Phoenix Force) is an outstanding Striker, as he deals extremely serious damage with piercing attacks (ignoring enemy Armor) and also deals additional damage based on precentage of his HP. This makes his Iso-8 attacks as a Striker incredibly powerful. Besides Striker, he can also be an excellent Raider, since his Special and Ultimate abilities target multiple enemies.

Omega Red (Phoenix Force) can be either a Raider or a Striker. As a Raider, his overall damage will be increased because all of his attacks hit multiple enemies, while as a Striker, he can deal more damage to a single target. Our recommendation is to set him as a Raider.

So, when the whole team is considered, you will have one Skirmisher (Phoenix), one Striker (Magneto (Phoenix Force)), and one Raider (Omega Red (Phoenix Force)). This is our suggested setup, but you can always mix and match their Iso-8 classes differently to fit your own playstyle.

Team T4’s

Essential

  • Phoenix – Passive, Ultimate, and Special
  • Magneto (Phoenix Force) – Ultimate, Special, Passive, and Basic
  • Omega Red (Phoenix Force) – Passive, Special, and Ultimate

Phoenix

Phoenix’s Passive at level 5 doesn’t provide significant buffs for the Phoenix Force team; however, it’s essential to upgrade it, as the Awakened level passive is extremely beneficial. At level 5, it increases the damage of X-Men allies by 10%, with an additional 10% boost for Uncanny X-Men allies. The Awakened level allows Phoenix and her Phoenix Force allies to become immune to Stun in the Crucible, which is an exceptional enhancement. As long as Phoenix is teamed with Omega Red (Phoenix Force), or Magneto (Phoenix Force) they all gain immunity to Stun.

Dark Phoenix’s Passive at level 5 applies Defense Down to all enemies for 2 turns (up from 1 turn) upon spawning. Additionally, if she has 4 or more allies with Stealth, she gains Stealth herself. This protection prevents her from being the only character without Stealth, thus making her less vulnerable to enemy attacks. At the Awakened level, Dark Phoenix can clear the Exhausted status from Phoenix Force allies upon spawning, making it impossible for them to have an Exhausted condition after she spawns.

The max-level Ultimate Ability allows Phoenix to remove all negative effects from herself and all X-Men and Phoenix Force allies when activated. It also removes 2 negative effects from all other allies. This upgrade significantly strengthens the Ultimate ability, enabling the team to eliminate negative effects, and allows for the removal of two negatives from non-X-Men characters as well.

In the Crucible, the Awakened Ultimate lets Phoenix apply Trauma and Ability Block to the primary target if she has an Omega Red (Phoenix Force) ally. This greatly enhances her control over the battlefield. Also, in Crucible, if Phoenix has Magneto (Phoenix Force) as an ally, she gains additional piercing damage on her Awakened Ultimate ability.

Dark Phoenix’s Ultimate at level 7 clears all positive effects from all enemies (up from 3) and applies Heal Block for 2 turns to all enemies. If she has Omega Red (Phoenix Force) as an ally or 2 or more X-Men allies, she will generate 3 Ability Energy for herself, allowing her to use her abilities sooner.

The Awakened Dark Phoenix’s Ultimate allows her to also generate 3 Ability Energy for a random Phoenix Force ally (Omega Red, or Magneto) if Dark Phoenix has Omega or 2 or more X-Men allies. This means she not only charges her own Ability Energy but also helps charge Phoenix Force allies Ability Energy.

At Max Level, Phoenix’s Special Ability allows her to spread all negative effects (excluding Stun and Trauma) from herself to the primary target, provided she has either Omega Red (Phoenix Force) as an ally or two or more X-Men allies. If Omega Red (Phoenix Force) is on her team, she will also clear all negative effects from herself, ensuring that any debuffs she acquires from the rest of the team are passed on to the primary target, and then cleared from herself.

In Crucible, the Special Ability of Dark Phoenix at Max Level can revive a fallen Omega Red (Phoenix Force) ally with 65% Health. For 2 random Phoenix Force allies, fill their Speed Bar by 50%, clear all negative effects, and heal those allies for 25% of this character’s Max Health. This upgrade is particularly valuable as it brings Omega Red back to life if he has fallen, removes negatives from 2 Phoenix Force allies, heals them, and allows them to take action sooner.

Magneto (Phoenix Force)

When his Ultimate is upgraded to max level, Magneto (Phoenix Force) will reduce the Ultimate Ability Energy of all enemies by 2 (up from 1), and will apply Silence and Trauma to primary and adjacent targets for 2 turns (up from 1 turn). This is a significant upgrade, as it increases your control over the enemy team, extends the duration of debuffs, and drains more Ultimate Ability Energy from your opponents.

When Magneto (Phoenix Force) has his Ultimate ability upgraded to the Awakened Level, he becomes even more impactful in Crucible. If he is teamed up with at least two Phoenix Force allies, using his Ultimate will grant Counter for 2 turns to himself and all Phoenix Force teammates, providing extra damage through counterattacks.

The Awakened upgrade also boosts the offensive power of the ability, adding 70% extra Piercing damage to both the primary and secondary targets. On top of that, it deals additional damage equal to 5% of Magneto’s Max Health to those same targets (15% in total). These enhancements make his Ultimate not only a strong control tool but also a significant source of burst damage.

Overall, this upgrade greatly increases both the control and damage potential of Magneto (Phoenix Force) in Crucible, making him a key part of the Phoenix Force team’s strategy.

Upgrading Magneto (Phoenix Force)’s Special ability to maximum level significantly increases its effectiveness. The attack deals an additional 50% damage to all enemies, and Blind is applied for 2 turns instead of 1, making opponents stay blinded longer.

In Crucible, having two or more Phoenix Force allies adds another 50% Piercing to the Special, for a total of 100% Piercing. This allows Magneto to cut through enemy Armor more efficiently, turning his Special into a potent tool for controlling and weakening the opposing team.

The Awakened version of Magneto (Phoenix Force)’s Special adds even more impact to the ability. It deals bonus damage equal to 5% of Magneto’s Max Health, bringing the total bonus damage from Max Health to 15%.

If Omega Red (Phoenix Force) is present as an ally, the Special also applies 1 stack of Trauma (up to a maximum of 3) to each target. This makes it much harder for enemies to remove their negative effects and increases the team’s overall control potential in battle.

At the maximum level, Magneto (Phoenix Force)’s Passive provides strong sustain for himself in the Crucible. If he has at least two Phoenix Force allies, then on his turn—or the turn of any Phoenix Force ally—he will steal 10% Health from the most injured enemy and heal himself with that amount. This effect triggers on every Phoenix Force member’s turn, but the healing is only applied to Magneto (Phoenix Force).

Maxing out Magneto (Phoenix Force)’s Basic ability only provides extra damage, so this upgrade would not be considered Essential or even Recommended if it weren’t required to unlock the Awakened upgrade.

The Awakened Basic for Magneto (Phoenix Force) adds important new effects. In addition to the existing damage, it deals bonus damage equal to 5% of Magneto’s Max Health, bringing the total bonus from Max Health to 15%.

In Crucible, when Magneto (Phoenix Force) calls a Phoenix Force ally with the highest Damage to attack the primary target with his Basic, that ally gains +50% Damage for their attack. This makes the Awakened Basic a significant upgrade, especially if Magneto is set as a Striker with the Iso-8 class, since his Iso-8 attacks will benefit from these extra effects.

Omega Red (Phoenix Force)

If we upgrade Omega Red (Phoenix Force)’s Passive to level 5, he will prevent Trauma on his entire team in the Crucible when paired with either Phoenix or Dark Phoenix as an ally. Additionally, this upgrade will prevent enemies from gaining Safeguard, making it essential. If his Passive is enhanced to the Awakened level, Omega Red will also decrease Armory by 100% and Resistance by 50% for all enemies afflicted with Bleed, which is another significant improvement.

Upgrading his Special to the maximum level will allow Omega Red (Phoenix Force) to grant Offense Up for 2 turns (increased from 1 turn) to himself and his Phoenix Force allies. Not only will it deal more damage, but it will also reduce the duration of all positive effects on the primary target by 2 turns in the Crucible. This means that regardless of whether the target has Safeguard, Omega Red will effectively remove its buffs.

Maxing his Ultimate will increase damage and convert all positive effects on enemies into negative ones (up from 3 positive effects).

Recommended

  • Phoenix – Basic
  • Omega Red (Phoenix Force) – Basic

Phoenix

With her Basic attack, Phoenix deals increased damage and applies “Assist Now” to a random Omega Red (Phoenix Force) ally. This grants the ally the opportunity to assist her after she uses her Basic attack. The upgrade of Basic attack for Dark Phoenix functions the same.

Omega Red (Phoenix Force)

The Basic attack deals more damage and applies 2 Bleed debuffs (up from 1) to the primary target and adjacent targets. Additionally, when the Basic attack is Awakened, in Crucible, it reduces the maximum Health of the targets by an amount equal to the damage dealt. Thus, the damage inflicted by Omega Red (Phoenix Force) with the Awakened Basic is permanent and cannot be healed.

Red Stars and Diamonds

Phoenix is older character so plenty of players might have her at high Red Stars already. Magneto (Phoenix Force) and Omega Red (Phoenix Force) are Epic characters, so upgrading their Red Stars will require spending Dark Promotion Credits.

You could also get Red Stars for Phoenix from the Incursion Campaign:

  • 7 Red Stars for Phoenix – Incursion 7-8

When it comes to Diamond upgrades, our general recommendation for this team is: the more, the better. Aim for at least 3 Diamonds on Phoenix (ideally 5), and as high as possible for Magneto (Phoenix Force) and Omega Red (Phoenix Force) – with Diamond 5 being the maximum.

When they become available in the Elite Store, Diamonds for Omega Red (Phoenix Force) and Magneto (Phoenix Force) will be purchased with Dark Diamond Credits, since they are Epic characters. For Phoenix, you can currently buy up to 3 Diamonds in the Elite Store, and these are purchased with Silver Diamond Credits.

Team Mechanics

The Phoenix Force is one of the most iconic and mysterious cosmic entities in the Marvel universe. Representing life, death, and rebirth, the Phoenix Force seeks out hosts of extraordinary potential, granting them unimaginable power but also testing their resolve and morality.

Throughout history, the Phoenix Force has most famously bonded with Jean Grey, amplifying her mutant abilities to god-like levels and transforming her into the legendary Phoenix. With this power, she has saved the universe—and at times, threatened to destroy it—struggling constantly with the fine line between creation and destruction.

In an alternate timeline, the Phoenix Force does not limit itself to one host. Instead, it chooses several powerful mutants, forming the Phoenix Force team. Magneto, the master of magnetism, embraces the Phoenix’s energy, further boosting his already formidable powers and granting him new abilities such as heightened piercing attacks and cosmic control over the battlefield. Omega Red, known for his ruthless efficiency and deadly Carbonadium tentacles, becomes even more lethal with the Phoenix Force coursing through him, giving him the ability to drain life on a massive scale and resist even the most powerful enemies.

United by the Phoenix Force, these mutants become more than the sum of their parts. Their connection to this primordial entity not only increases their strength but also ties their destinies together, making them champions—or sometimes harbingers—of change in the universe. The struggles they face are not just against external foes, but also internal battles with the overwhelming cosmic power and the eternal cycle of rebirth and destruction that the Phoenix represents.

The Phoenix Force team stands as a symbol of transformation and the enduring struggle between hope and devastation. Whether as saviors or threats, their legend echoes throughout the Marvel multiverse, forever marked by the fiery wings of the Phoenix.

Phoenix Force is a legendary team in the Marvel universe, known for combining some of the most powerful mutants under the influence of the cosmic Phoenix Force. In Marvel Strike Force, this team consists of Phoenix (Jean Grey), Omega Red (Phoenix Force), and Magneto (Phoenix Force). Each member brings unique abilities and enhanced powers thanks to their connection with the Phoenix Force, making the team exceptionally strong in both offensive and defensive scenarios.

The core strength of the Phoenix Force team lies in their synergy. Phoenix acts as the Controller, providing crowd control and the ability to return as Dark Phoenix after being defeated, which can turn the tide of battle. Omega Red (Phoenix Force) serves as the Brawler, dealing massive damage to multiple enemies, applying debuffs, and draining health to sustain himself. Magneto (Phoenix Force) plays the role of the Blaster, focusing on heavy piercing attacks and providing crucial control effects like Blind, Trauma, and Silence.

One of the key traits of the Phoenix Force team is their resilience in Crucible, where their abilities are further enhanced. They initiate battles with powerful buffs, such as Safeguard, Immunity, and Defense Up, making them difficult to counter. Magneto prevents enemy teams from manipulating Speed, gaining Speed Up, or assisting in Crucible, while Phoenix and Omega Red benefit from additional effects when teamed together.

Phoenix

Phoenix, also known as Jean Grey, is one of the most iconic and powerful mutants in the Marvel Universe. As an original member of the X-Men, Jean Grey possesses powerful telepathic and telekinetic abilities, but it is her bond with the cosmic Phoenix Force that truly sets her apart.

The Phoenix Force is a primordial cosmic entity representing life, death, and rebirth. When Jean becomes its host, her powers increase exponentially—she gains near-limitless telepathy, telekinesis, energy manipulation, and the ability to resurrect herself and others. In this form, she is often called simply “Phoenix.”

Phoenix is known for her complex duality: she fights to protect her friends and the world, but struggles to control the overwhelming power and destructive potential of the Phoenix Force. This inner conflict has led to some of the most dramatic and influential storylines in Marvel history, including “The Dark Phoenix Saga.”

Whether as a hero, anti-hero, or sometimes even a threat, Phoenix stands as a symbol of ultimate power and the eternal struggle between creation and destruction.

Phoenix is a Controller capable of dealing significant damage to opponents. Upon her death, she summons Dark Phoenix, which can inflict even more damage. She has excellent synergy with other Phoenix Force allies and provides additional bonuses for Cosmic Crucible, making her a formidable force. Phoenix can heal her team, transfer all negative effects from all allies to herself, and copy them to one of the opponents, after that she will clear those negativities from herself. Overall, she presents excellent synergy with her allies. She has 2 Awakened Abilities: Ultimate and Passive, and by having them she will receive additional bonuses in Crucible.

With her Basic attack, Phoenix strikes the primary target and removes two positive effects from it. She then grants Assist Now to a random ally from Omega Red (Phoenix Force).

Her Special Ability provides Stealth (for 2 turns) and Defense Up (for 2 turns) to all allies, healing all X-Men and Phoenix Force allies for 25% of her Max Health. She then redistributes 25% of her Max Health from herself to all allies. Each ally also receives an additional 10,000 Health, which may seem modest but is still worth mentioning, and this effect bypasses Heal Block. Phoenix transfers all negative effects from her allies to herself. If there are two or more X-Men allies or an Omega Red (Phoenix Force) on the team, she will attack the primary target and copy all negative effects (excluding Stun and Trauma) from herself to that target. If an Omega Red (Phoenix Force) ally is present, Phoenix clears all negative effects from herself. This is an effective method for transferring negative effects from the entire team to the primary target. If no allies are present, Phoenix inflicts 5,000% Piercing damage on herself, essentially resulting in her own defeat. When she dies, her Passive Ability is triggered. Special cost 5 Ability Energy, and can be used in the first turn.

Ultimate costs 8 Ability Energy and can be used in the first round. When activated, Phoenix attacks the primary target and removes all positive effects from that target. It also removes all negative effects from herself and all X-Men and Phoenix Force allies, as well as two negative effects from all other allies. This attack cannot be blocked or counterattacked, and Phoenix gains +50,000% Extra Focus for it. Because Omega prevents opponents from having Safeguard, this enables Phoenix to strip all positive effects with her Ultimate from the primary target. In Crucible, if Phoenix has a Magneto (Phoenix Force) ally, this attack is Unavoidable.

If we upgrade her Ultimate to the Awakened level, Phoenix can apply Trauma and Ability Block to the primary target in Crucible if she has an Omega Red (Phoenix Force) ally. If she has Magneto (Phoenix Force) ally in Crucible, then this attack grants additional Piercing ddamage.

Phoenix, through her Passive Ability, applies Defense Up for 2 turns to herself and all X-Men and Phoenix Force allies upon spawning. She cannot be revived; however, upon her death, she summons Dark Phoenix. Whenever an ally gains Taunt from a source other than an On Spawn Passive Ability, Phoenix also gains Taunt for 2 turns. Therefore, at the beginning of the fight, when Omega Red (Phoenix Force) applies Taunt to the Protector ally, Phoenix will not gain Taunt. However, later in the fight, if any ally gains Taunt, she will also gain it for 2 turns.

Phoenix prevents herself and all Phoenix Force allies, in Crucible, from gaining Stun (Awakened Level) as long as Omega Red (Phoenix Force) or Magneto (Phoenix Force) are alive. This means neither of them can be Stunned.

Phoenix provides +15% Damage and Health to the X-Men allies, and +15% additional Damage and Health to Uncanny X-Men allies.

Dark Phoenix

When Phoenix dies, Dark Phoenix will be summoned, revealing her true capabilities. And they are quite impressive—believe me.

With Basic, Dark Phoenix attacks the primary target and the adjacent targets, clearing two positive effects from each target. She also grants Assist Now to a random Omega Red (Phoenix Force) ally.

Dark Phoenix steals 20% of the health from all enemies and redistributes it to herself with her Special. She removes all Ability Block and Bleed effects from herself and all allies, then applies Regeneration for two turns to all X-Men and Phoenix Force allies. Additionally, all allies receive Regeneration for two turns. If she has an Omega Red (Phoenix Force) ally or two or more X-Men allies, she gains Speed Up for two turns. This attack ignores Deathproof and any passives that trigger when a character drops below a certain health threshold. For example, if Dark Phoenix uses her Special ability against Thanos (Endgame) and reduces his health below 50%, he won’t trigger any passive attacks against her.

In Crucible:

  • Revives a dead Omega Red (Phoenix Force) ally with 65% health.
  • For 2 random Phoenix Force allies, fill Speed Bar by 50%, clear all negative effects, and Heal those allies for 25% of this character’s Max Health.

If Omega Red (Phoenix Force) dies before Phoenix and before Dark Phoenix is summoned, she will revive him. This powerful duo will then be able to face opponents together. Additionally, she will heal Omega Red (Phoenix Force and Magneto (Phoenix Force), fill their Speed Bar, and remove any negative effects they may have, allowing them to play soon after. This is an impressive move.

With her Ultimate Ability, Dark Phoenix attacks all opponents, dealing massive damage, removing all positive effects from each target, and applying Heal Block for 2 turns. This attack is Unavoidable, and Dark Phoenix receives +50,000% Extra Focus for it. If she has Omega Red (Phoenix Force) as an ally or two or more X-Men allies, she will generate 3 Ability Energy for herself, allowing her to use this ability or Special again much sooner.

If we upgrade the Ultimate to Awakened level, and if Dark Phoenix has Omega Red (Phoenix Force) as an ally or two or more X-Men allies, she generates 3 Ability Energy for a random Phoenix Force ally. Currently, this can only be Omega Red (Phoenix Force) or Magneto (Phoenix Force), since they are the only allies capable of receiving energy, until the Phoenix Force team gains more members.

Dark Phoenix also has a Passive Ability that triggers On Spawn, where she attacks all opponents and applies Defense Down. For this attack, she receives a significant increase in Focus. So, when an opponent defeats a Phoenix and Dark Phoenix spawns, her first action will be this passive attack against all of them. If we upgrade her Passive to the Awakened level, Dark Phoenix in Crucible, if she is allied with Omega Red (Phoenix Force) or Magneto (Phoenix Force), will remove the Exhausted status from all Phoenix Force allies. This means that even if her Phoenix Force allies becomes exhausted during the fight, Dark Phoenix will be able to clear that status when she enters the battle.

Magneto (Phoenix Force)

Magneto (Phoenix Force) is a unique and powerful version of Erik Lehnsherr, the master of magnetism, who has become the chosen host of the cosmic Phoenix Force. In this form, Magneto’s already vast powers are elevated to an entirely new level, blending the raw force of magnetism with the limitless energy and rebirth of the Phoenix.

Once known as one of the most formidable and controversial mutants, Magneto has always walked a fine line between villain and anti-hero. His vision for mutantkind and his willingness to do whatever it takes to ensure their survival have made him both a feared adversary and a respected leader. When the Phoenix Force selects him as its host, Magneto is granted not only increased control over magnetic fields and metal, but also the ability to manipulate energy on a cosmic scale.

The combination of Magneto’s tactical genius and the Phoenix’s destructive potential transforms him into an unstoppable force on the battlefield. He can bend the very fabric of reality, unleashing piercing attacks that ignore all defenses and reshaping the course of any conflict. Yet, the true challenge for Magneto is not just mastering this newfound power, but also resisting the seductive pull of the Phoenix’s darker instincts.

Haunted by the duality of his own nature and the cosmic entity within him, Magneto (Phoenix Force) stands as a symbol of ultimate power, resilience, and the struggle for balance. His story is one of transformation—where the relentless will of a mutant icon is fused with the eternal flames of the Phoenix, forging a legend that echoes throughout the Marvel universe.

Magneto (Phoenix Force) in Marvel Strike Force is a powerful Blaster who excels in controlling the battlefield and dealing heavy damage. As part of the Phoenix Force team, he opens each battle with strong buffs and shuts down enemy Speed manipulation, assists, and buff protection in Crucible.

His Special attacks all enemies, applying Blind and Bleed, while his Ultimate targets multiple enemies with Trauma, Silence, and Speed Bar reduction, and can drain Ultimate Ability Energy from opponents. Magneto (Phoenix Force) becomes even stronger with Awakened upgrades, gaining extra piercing damage and bonus effects for his team. His main role is to disrupt enemy strategies, weaken entire teams, and provide high burst damage, making him a key asset in competitive modes.

With every attack, Magneto (Phoenix Force) also deals additional damage based on a percentage of his own Max Health. This bonus damage is applied to both his main and Iso-8 attacks, making him even more threatening as he becomes stronger and gains more health. This mechanic allows Magneto to consistently pressure opponents, especially high-health enemies, further solidifying his role as a dominant damage dealer and controller on the Phoenix Force team.

Magneto (Phoenix Force) also has a powerful Passive ability that prevents all forms of Speed manipulation in the Crucible. Enemies cannot increase or decrease Speed Bar, gain Speed Up, or affect the Speed stats of either team, and they are unable to perform assists. This gives your team a huge advantage in controlling the flow of battle.

In addition, his Passive grants him strong sustain—whenever Magneto or any Phoenix Force ally takes a turn, he steals 10% Health from the most injured enemy and heals himself by that amount. This combination of battlefield control and self-healing makes Magneto (Phoenix Force) a true anchor for the Phoenix Force team.

Magneto (Phoenix Force)’s Basic ability attacks the primary target for 200% Piercing and deals bonus damage equal to 15% of his Max Health, while also applying Disrupted for 2 turns.

In Crucible, he calls the Phoenix Force ally with the highest Damage to assist on the primary target, and that ally gains +50% Damage for the attack.

If Magneto is forced to attack an ally, he deals reduced damage and does not apply negative effects to Mutant allies.

It’s important to note that when Magneto (Phoenix Force) is forced to attack an ally, he deals reduced damage and does not apply negative effects to Mutant allies. This is valuable, as it helps protect his own team—especially other Mutants—from accidental debuffs or heavy damage caused by enemy control effects like Mind Control. This mechanic ensures that, even under enemy influence, Magneto is less likely to significantly harm his own allies.

Special costs 8 Ability Energy and can be used on his first turn. It clears all Barrier from all enemies, then attacks all enemies for 300% damage plus bonus damage equal to 15% of his Max Health, and applies Blind for 2 turns.

If Phoenix or Dark Phoenix is an ally, this ability will also clear all positive effects from each target. If Omega Red (Phoenix Force) is present, it applies 2 Bleed for 2 turns and +1 Trauma (up to a maximum of 3) to each enemy.

This attack is Unavoidable and cannot be Blocked or Counterattacked, making it very reliable.

In Crucible, if Magneto has 2 or more Phoenix Force allies, the attack also gains +100% Piercing, greatly increasing its effectiveness against armored teams.

Ultimate costs 9 Ability Energy and can be used on his first turn. It flips all positive effects on the primary and adjacent targets, turning buffs into debuffs. Then, it attacks those targets for 350% Piercing damage plus bonus damage equal to 15% of Magneto’s Max Health, and applies 2 Bleed for 1 turn and Trauma for 2 turns.

In Crucible, if Magneto has 2 Phoenix Force allies:

  • He applies Counter for 2 turns to himself and all Phoenix Force allies.
  • He reduces the Ultimate Ability Energy of all enemies by 2, delaying their most powerful attacks.
  • He reduces the Speed Bar of the primary and adjacent targets by 25% and applies Silence for 2 turns, shutting down their abilities to buff themselves or remove buffs from the Phoenix Force team.
  • This attack gains +3,000% Extra Focus, making it extremely difficult to resist, and it is Unavoidable and cannot be Blocked.

This Ultimate gives Magneto (Phoenix Force) incredible control and damage potential, especially in Crucible, where it can completely disrupt enemy strategies right from the start of battle.

Magneto (Phoenix Force)’s Passive gives the team a strong start and excellent control throughout the fight. On spawn, he applies Immunity for 2 turns to himself and all Phoenix Force allies, protecting them from debuffs right away.

At the end of each enemy turn, Magneto reduces the duration of 1 random positive effect on each enemy by 1, plus 1 additional random positive effect for each Phoenix Force ally on the team. After that, he grants Barrier to himself and all Phoenix Force allies, equal to 10% of his Max Health, helping the team stay protected.

In Crucible, if Magneto has 2 or more Phoenix Force allies, his Passive takes control to the next level:

  • Enemies cannot gain Assist Now or Speed Up.
  • Enemies cannot fill or reduce Speed Bar for themselves, their allies, or your team, and enemy Speed can only be increased by positive effects.
  • The Speed of your allies can only be decreased by negative effects.

This means Magneto (Phoenix Force) completely shuts down every form of Speed Bar or Speed Stat manipulation. Enemies cannot boost their own Speed Bar or Speed stat, reduce the Speed Bar or Speed stat of your team, or gain Speed Up, making it impossible for them to change the natural turn order. This is a huge advantage, as it stops many popular strategies and ensures that your Phoenix Force team keeps control of the battle tempo.

Additionally, on every turn taken by Magneto or any Phoenix Force ally, he steals 10% Health from the most injured enemy and heals himself for that amount. This gives him strong sustain throughout the fight.

Overall, Magneto’s Passive is one of the most powerful turn order control tools in the game, locking down enemy tactics and keeping your team protected from both debuffs and sudden bursts of enemy action.

Omega Red (Phoenix Force)

Omega Red, real name Arkady Rossovich, is a notorious Russian mutant supervillain in the Marvel Universe. Originally introduced as an adversary to the X-Men, especially Wolverine, Omega Red is known for his ruthless combat skills, superhuman strength, and his deadly Carbonadium tentacles which can drain the life force from his enemies.

Traditionally, Omega Red possesses enhanced durability, accelerated healing, and immunity to most toxins. His mutant ability, the “Death Factor,” allows him to emit lethal pheromones and drain the life energy of others, making him a formidable foe in any confrontation.

With the Phoenix Force, Omega Red’s powers are elevated to an entirely new level. Bonded with this cosmic entity, Omega Red gains not only a dramatic boost to his strength, speed, and endurance but also acquires powerful telekinetic and energy manipulation abilities. The Phoenix Force further amplifies his life-draining capabilities, allowing him to devastate entire enemy teams and sustain himself in prolonged battles.

Despite being a villain, Omega Red (Phoenix Force) becomes a key player in teams that harness his offensive and disruptive potential. His synergy with other Phoenix Force members makes him especially dangerous in high-level competitive modes.

Omega Red (Phoenix Force) embodies the fusion of raw mutant aggression and cosmic power, standing as a symbol of unstoppable force and lethal precision within the Marvel multiverse.

Omega Red (Phoenix Force) is a Brawler known for his high health and damage, which allows him to engage enemies effectively while remaining in the fight. When paired with other Phoenix Force characters, he becomes even more formidable. In the Crucible game mode, he also prevents Trauma from affecting his team and stops enemies from gaining Safeguard.

Additionally, Omega Red (Phoenix Force) is the character capable of reducing the duration of all positive effects, enabling him to bypass Safeguard. He boasts two powerful Awakened Abilities: his Awakened Basic attack decreases the target’s Max Health, while his Awakened Passive reduces the Armor and Resistance of enemies affected by Bleed.

With his Basic, Omega Red attacks the primary target as well as adjacent ones, dealing Piercing damage. He applies 2 Bleed effects and extends the duration of all negative effects on the target (excluding Ability Block, Stun, and Trauma) by 1 turn. Additionally, he grants Assist Now to one random Phoenix Force ally. In the Crucible mode, this attack ignores Defense Up. If upgraded to the Awakened Basic, this attack will also reduce the target’s Max Health by the same amount of damage dealt, resulting in a permanent decrease in the target’s Health that cannot be healed.

The Special costs 5 Ability Energy and can be used on the first turn. Omega applies Offense Up for 2 turns to himself and all Phoenix Force allies. After applying this buff, he attacks the primary target, inflicting Trauma for 2 turns, 2 Bleed effects for 2 turns, and Ability Block for 1 turn. He also reduces the duration of all positive effects on the primary target by 2. Any positive effect that has a duration of 0 will expire instantly, including Safeguard. This means that all buffs with a duration of 2 turns or less will be removed, even if the target has Safeguard.

Next, Omega Red (Phoenix Force) will chain his attack to 4 adjacent enemies, dealing damage and applying 2 Bleed effects for 2 turns. If he has a Phoenix or Dark Phoenix ally, this attack gains +1000% Extra Focus. The attack can chain to targets in Stealth and cannot be blocked, counterattacked, and it’s Unavoidable. After completing the attack, Omega removes all negative effects and Vulnerabilities from himself and all Phoenix Force allies, and fills the Speed Bar of a random Phoenix or Dark Phoenix ally by 50%, allowing that ally to act immediately after him.

Ultimate costs 6 Ability Energy and can be used in the second turn. Omega Red (Phoenix Force) flips all positive effects into negative ones on all opponents while applying Defense Down, Slow, and 2 Bleed to each enemy. He then attacks all opponents with an Unavoidable attack. In Crucible, he also steals 10% of his Max Health from each enemy and redistributes it to himself, which bypasses Heal Block and significantly increases his survivability. This ability can easily turn the tide of battle in our favor.

Through his Passive Ability, Omega Red (Phoenix Force) steals 2% of his Max Health from all enemies, on each enemy turn, and redistributes it to himself, again bypassing Heal Block. This strengthens his sustain and makes him formidable in the Dark Dimension. If ally, either Phoenix or Dark Phoenix, dies, he transfers all negative effects (except for Stun and Trauma) from himself to the most injured enemy and attacks that enemy with Piercing damage. In Crucible, he also reduces the duration of all positive effects on that enemy by 2 turns (any positive effect with a duration of 0 expires instantly, including Safeguard). This provides a secondary way to remove Safeguard from an enemy.

Upon spawning, Omega Red applies Safeguard to himself and all Phoenix Force allies, preventing enemies from removing their buffs before they play (in most cases). In Crucible, after all other characters have resolved their On Spawn effects, he applies Taunt (2 turns) to a random Protector ally that does not already have Taunt. If there are no Protectors available for Taunt, Omega Red (Phoenix Force) fills his Speed Bar by 20%.

In Crucible, Omega Red (Phoenix Force) has several additional enhancements that make him exceptionally strong in this mode. During the enemy turn, he gains a +5% Speed increase, up to a maximum of 50%. This effect does not stack with Speed Up. If he is paired with a Phoenix or Dark Phoenix ally, he and all his allies cannot gain Trauma, and enemies cannot gain Safeguard. Against any Mythic enemies, their Max Health cannot be increased through Passive Abilities. This means that if you face opponents like Odin and the Illuminati, Black Bolt’s 50% Health increase through Passive will not take effect. Additionally, the Apocalypse Health increase will not work against the Phoenix Force duo.

Omega’s Awakened Passive will also reduce the armor of enemies with Bleed by 100% and their Resistance by 50% in Cosmic Crucible.

Combat Tips & Tricks

This powerful team is strongest in Crucible, so we’ll focus primarily on that game mode. While it can be beneficial to team them with X-Men or Uncanny X-Men allies—since Phoenix passively buffs their Health and Damage—it should not be a priority. Depending on the opponent’s setup, this duo can be an unstoppable force in attacks, complemented by various plug-and-play characters against diverse teams. They can also form a mighty defensive foundation in Crucible.

Omega Red Magneto and Phoenix work extremely well together. The Phoenix Force team will start each battle in every game mode with a powerful combination of Safeguard, Immunity, and Defense Up buffs. Each of these three buffs has a duration of 2 turns, which means that even after Phoenix Force characters play their first turns, they will still have these buffs and remain protected for a longer period. This will be a significant advantage, and it’s even more impactful in Crucible, due to Omega Red’s (Phoenix Force) Passive, enemies cannot gain Safeguard—meaning they won’t be able to protect their own buffs. Meanwhile, the Phoenix Force team cannot be inflicted with Trauma, allowing them to clear negative effects from themselves without major issues. Additionally, if there are Mythic characters on the opposing team, Omega Red’s passive also negates any passive Health increase for opponents. Magneto (Phoenix Force) will prevent any form of Speed manipulation by opponents in the Cosmic Crucible. Enemy teams will not be able to manipulate either their own or your team’s Speed Bar, cannot increase their Speed stat or decrease yours, and won’t be able to gain Speed Up. Additionally, opponents in Crucible will not be able to perform assists.

Magneto plays first on the team and can use either his Special or Ultimate ability. With his Special, he attacks all enemies and applies Blind and Bleed to each of them, and removes all positive effects on every enemy, making it a strong option for opening the battle. If he uses his Ultimate, he targets the primary and adjacent targets, applies Trauma, reduces their Speed Bar, and inflicts Silence. Additionally, Magneto’s Ultimate reduces the Ultimate Ability Energy of all enemies by 2.

This makes his Ultimate especially valuable as an opening move when facing opponents who can use powerful Ultimate abilities on their first turn but act after Magneto. In such matchups, opening with Magneto’s Ultimate can give your team a major advantage.

Omega plays after Magneto, and we begin by using his Special to control an opponent and, if possible, fill Phoenix’s Speed Bar. This allows her to play almost immediately afterward. Depending on the situation, Phoenix can initiate the fight with either her Special or Ultimate ability. Both abilities are quite similar: the Special attacks an opponent while removing positive effects from them and negative effects from the entire team, providing extra protection and healing. The Ultimate deals more damage to the primary target but less protection for the rest of the team. If the goal is to have Phoenix eliminated quickly, the Special is the best option. However, using the Ultimate allows her to stay in the game longer, which can be advantageous, especially in defensive team setups, as the AI will typically opt for the Ultimate at the beginning of a fight.

When Omega Red (Phoenix Force) gets his turn again and can use his Ultimate, the fight will likely be ours. Since the opponents won’t have Safeguard, he will flip all their positive effects and impose several powerful debuffs. After that, it’s up to us to finish the fight strategically.

This team is poised to become a true powerhouse in the Crucible, much like the Undying team demonstrates its dominance in War. As time goes on, they will gain new members, becoming more diverse and even stronger, which is something we eagerly anticipate. However, even now, as a duo, they are incredibly formidable.
