Omen
Introduction
Omen is a team specifically created to showcase the Legendary character Silver Surfer (Breaker). While Silver Surfer (Breaker) is a plug-and-play character—able to fit into nearly any War Offense lineup—the Omen team is purpose-built to maximize his strengths. The lineup consists of four reworked characters—Minn-Erva, Ebony Maw, Ronan the Accuser, and Cull Obsidian—combined with Silver Surfer (Breaker) to dominate War Offense battles.
Many consider Omen an exclusive, luxury team, and with good reason. Not every player will want to—or be able to—invest heavily in this squad. But for those who enjoy the War game mode and want to make a statement, building a strong Omen team is a top priority.
In terms of traits, Silver Surfer (Breaker), Ebony Maw, and Ronan the Accuser are all Mystic characters, Minn-Erva is Tech, and Cull Obsidian is Bio. Silver Surfer (Breaker) fills the Brawler role, Minn-Erva and Ebony Maw are Support, Ronan is a Controller, and Cull Obsidian is the Protector. All five share the Villain and Cosmic traits, making them a cohesive and formidable force designed for high-level War Offense play.

Utility
- Alliance War Offense
They possess outstanding kits that are further enhanced when used as a War Offense team, making that game mode their natural utility. You can read more about their abilities later in the text, where we’ll break down each character and the team as a whole in detail.
It’s worth mentioning that very few teams will be able to stand against them when Omen is deployed on War Offense.
Team Placement & Turn Order
We’ll position Silver Surfer (Breaker) in one corner, with Minn-Erva placed next to him. Ebony Maw should go in the center, while Ronan the Accuser takes the opposite side, and Cull Obsidian—who is the Protector capable of spawning with Taunt in War Offense—will be placed in the other corner. This formation maximizes protection for your key character, Silver Surfer (Breaker), as well as your Support units, Minn-Erva and Ebony Maw, ensuring they’re shielded from early enemy attacks (in some cases) and can keep the team sustained throughout the battle.
Turn Order:
- Silver Surfer (Breaker) – 129 Speed
- Minn-Erva – 125 Speed
- Ebony Maw – 122 Speed
- Ronan the Accuser – 121 Speed
- Cull Obsidian – 105 Speed
Iso-8 Classes
- Silver Surfer (Breaker) – Raider / Striker
- Minn-Erva – Healer / Striker
- Ebony Maw – Striker / Skirmisher
- Ronan the Accuser – Raider / Striker
- Cull Obsidian – Fortifier / Raider
Silver Surfer (Breaker) can be an excellent choice for either the Raider or Striker Iso-8 class. When running with the Omen team, it’s generally best to use him as a Raider. Since he’s the fastest on the team and plays first, there won’t be any Vulnerable effects on enemies for him to exploit as a Striker. As a Raider, he benefits from increased Crit Chance and Crit Damage, which amplifies his passive damage—especially when an enemy with Unstable Singularity is attacked, or when any ally uses an Ultimate in War Offense.
On the other hand, as a Striker, Silver Surfer (Breaker) is able to apply Unstable Singularity with his Iso-8 attack if no enemies currently have the debuff. This is useful, but given that he already applies Unstable Singularity with all his main attacks (and even some passives), the added benefit is less crucial. As a Striker, however, he will have more serious single-target damage, can flip positive effects on his target, and will clear negative effects from himself more reliably.
Therefore, when used outside of the Omen team—especially if there are faster characters on his squad who can set up Vulnerable before his turn—Silver Surfer (Breaker) can also be a great Striker. The choice between Raider and Striker comes down to team composition and turn order, but within Omen, Raider is usually the optimal setup.
Minn-Erva is an outstanding Support, so equipping her with the Healer Iso-8 class will further enhance her already strong healing abilities. Alternatively, she can work as a Striker, since her Iso-8 attack will apply Bleed to the primary target and Regeneration to the most injured non-summoned ally, providing both offensive pressure and additional sustain.
Ultimately, the choice is yours—but no other Iso-8 class will benefit her as much as Healer or Striker.
Ebony Maw only directly attacks enemies with his Basic ability. His Ultimate steals Health from opponents without a direct attack, and his Special doesn’t deal damage—except in War Offense when Silver Surfer (Breaker) is an ally and gets called to attack the primary target. Because of this, Ebony Maw works well as a Skirmisher, reliably applying Vulnerable to his primary target, regardless of whether the attack is direct or part of a support ability.
He can also be a Striker, as his Iso-8 attack will apply Bleed, adding some extra pressure to the enemy team. Both Skirmisher and Striker can work for him.
Ronan the Accuser can be a Raider or Striker, and in some cases even a Healer, since he has passive healing capabilities. As a Raider, he deals excellent damage with his Ultimate, which hits all enemies—making the most of the increased Crit Chance and Crit Damage from the Raider class. As a Striker, he can use his Iso-8 attack to clear positive effects from the primary target, adding more utility and control to his kit. Both options are strong, and your choice should depend on your team’s needs and Ronan’s role in your lineup.
Cull Obsidian is a Protector who absorbs the majority of enemy attacks, so equipping him with the Fortifier Iso-8 class will boost his mitigation by providing extra Barrier and survivability. However, he can also be an effective Raider, since he passively counterattacks enemies who attack his Omen or Black Order allies. As a Raider, his passive damage is enhanced due to increased Crit Chance and Crit Damage, making those counterattacks hit even harder.
Both Fortifier and Raider are strong options for Cull, depending on whether you want to focus on his durability or capitalize on his counterattack potential.
It goes without saying that you should pay attention to Iso-8 class synergy and avoid stacking the same class on too many characters. The Iso-8 classes you choose should primarily fit each character’s strengths, but also take into account what their allies are running for optimal team performance.
Our recommended setup for an offensively oriented Omen team is:
Silver Surfer (Breaker) – Raider
Minn-Erva – Striker
Ebony Maw – Striker
Ronan the Accuser – Raider
Cull Obsidian – Raider
This arrangement maximizes offensive potential and helps the team reach its full damage output in War Offense.
Team T4’s
Essential
- Silver Surfer (Breaker) – Passive, Special, Ultimate, and Basic
- Minn-Erva – Passive and Ultimate
- Ebony Maw – Passive and Ultimate
- Ronan the Accuser – Ultimate and Passive
- Cull Obsidian – Special, Ultimate, and Passive
Silver Surfer (Breaker)
Surfer (Breaker) has Awakened Abilities on all four of his abilities, so we recommend maxing out all four.
Passive – Additional +100% Piercing with all passive attacks (for a total of 250% Piercing, up from 150%). Also, whenever an enemy with Unstable Singularity is attacked—or during War Offense when an ally uses their Ultimate—he will clear 2 negative effects from himself. This means you get more serious passive damage and some self-cleansing of debuffs with this upgrade.
Awakened Passive – Deals even more Piercing damage with his passive attacks (350% Piercing, up from 250%). He’ll also fill his Speed Bar by an extra 20% (up from 10%) when an enemy with Unstable Singularity is attacked. Finally, he will clear all negative effects from himself (instead of just 2) in those same situations. So, the Awakened upgrade gives you the same benefits as the max upgrade, but even stronger.
Special – Silver Surfer (Breaker) will deal more damage to the primary and secondary targets, and he will apply Trauma and Disrupted for 2 turns (up from 1 turn if Special is not maxed).
Awakened Special – When he uses it, he will clear Barrier from all enemies (instead of just from the primary target if the Special is not maxed) and deal even more Piercing damage to the primary target.
Ultimate – Deal increased Piercing damage to all enemies and apply Heal Block for 2 turns (up from 1 turn).
Awakened Ultimate – Even more Piercing damage to all enemies and clear all positive effects from each enemy (instead of 3 positive effects per enemy). So, with the Awakened upgrade, you don’t just get better damage—you also get a complete buff clear on all enemies.
Basic – Silver Surfer (Breaker) deals increased damage to the primary and secondary targets and clears 2 negative effects from himself.
Awakened Basic – He deals even more damage to the primary and secondary targets and clears all negative effects from himself.
Minn-Erva
Passive – On War Offense with 3 other Omen allies, she will prevent enemies from increasing their Resistance or Speed except through positive effects. This means that when Omen attacks in War, none of the enemies will be able to passively increase their Resistance or Speed.
Ultimate – Minn-Erva will, on War Offense and with at least 3 Omen allies, steal an additional 15% Health from all enemies (for a total of 30%) and reduce all positive effects on all enemies by 2. So, when her Ultimate is fully upgraded, Minn-Erva will not only heal more but will also remove positive effects from enemies—no matter if they have Safeguard or not—on War Offense. This makes it an excellent way to strip buffs from even the most well-protected enemy teams.
Ebony Maw
Passive – On Spawn, he will apply Regeneration (for 2 turns), 2 Deathproof, and Immunity (for 2 turns) to all Support Omen allies. Ebony already applies these effects to himself on Spawn, but with his Passive maxed, he will also apply them to Minn-Erva (since she is his only Support Omen ally). This significantly boosts their mitigation and sustain.
Ultimate – With his Ultimate maxed out, Ebony Maw can manipulate the Speed Bar of both his team and the enemy team. He will fill the Speed Bar for himself and all allies by 5% for each Black Order or Omen ally (up to 20% if he’s in a full Omen or Black Order team). He will also reduce the Speed Bar for all enemies by 5% for each Black Order or Omen ally (again, up to 20% if the team is full).
Against enemies who can’t prevent Speed Bar manipulation, this is a huge advantage, as Ebony Maw and his Omen or Black Order allies will gain a significant turn order lead by increasing their own Speed Bar and reducing the enemy’s.
Ronan the Accuser
Ultimate – Will deal increased damage, and on War Offense with 3 Omen allies, Ronan will apply Ability Block to all enemies for 2 turns (up from 1 turn). This upgrade is crucial for the control Ronan brings to War Offense, as it extends the duration of Ability Block to two turns, preventing enemies from using their abilities for a longer period, which can be decisive in many situations.
Passive – Heal himself and any Kree or Omen ally who receives Ability Energy for 25% of his Max Health (up from 15% when Passive is not maxed), which greatly boosts his passive healing. In addition, his summoned Kree minions will passively gain +30% Damage (up from 15%), so their offensive potential will also increase when his Passive is maxed.
Cull Obsidian
Special – On War Offense with 3 Omen allies, Cull Obsidian will call a random Omen ally to attack the primary target and clear all negative effects from himself and all Omen allies (up from clearing just 2 negative effects from himself). This means that, with his Special maxed, Cull gains an offensive component on War Offense—since the ability does no damage to enemies when not maxed—and the debuff clearing is expanded to the entire Omen team, removing all negative effects instead of just 2 from Cull Obsidian. This is a huge upgrade.
Ultimate – Deal increased damage to the primary target, and the bonus damage per Deathproof on Cull will be +25% (up from +10%), so his total damage output is significantly increased with this upgrade. Additionally, on War Offense with 3 Omen allies, Cull will copy and clear all positive effects (except Taunt and Stealth) from himself to each Omen ally. This means that the positive effects Cull previously copied and cleared from the primary target onto himself will now be spread to all his Omen allies, giving the entire team a strong set of buffs.
Passive – The first time any character takes a turn while Cull Obsidian has Taunt and is at or below 25% Health, he will heal himself for 40% of his Max Health. This passive healing can make a big difference in keeping him alive if he finds himself in a tough spot while protecting his team.
Recommended
- Minn-Erva – Special
- Ebony Maw – Special
- Ronan the Accuser – Special
Minn-Erva
Special – Revive a dead ally with 50% of their Max Health (up from 40%), which is a solid improvement for the sustain of any character she revives. In addition, Minn-Erva will generate 1 Ability Energy for 2 random Kree or Omen allies (up from just 1 Kree or Omen ally), so more of her allies will receive extra Ability Energy, allowing them to use their abilities more often.
You can also max out Minn-Erva’s Basic Ability if you use her as a Striker. This will increase her single-target and Iso-8 attack damage.
Ebony Maw
Special – Applies Defense Up for 2 turns to himself and all allies (up from 1 turn when Special is not maxed), and clears all Deflect and Minor Deflect from all enemies. Deflect and Minor Deflect buffs allow enemies to block the next attack, reducing incoming damage and preventing debuffs. By removing these buffs with his maxed Special, Ebony Maw takes away that protection from the enemy team.
You can also max out Ebony Maw’s Basic Ability if you use him as a Striker. This will increase his single-target and Iso-8 attack damage.
Ronan the Accuser
Special – Ronan will always summon 2 Kree minions (up from 1–2 Kree minions). This completely removes the RNG from the number of minions summoned by Ronan’s Special—there will always be 2.
Red Stars and Diamonds
Red Stars for Silver Surfer (Breaker) will initially be available through his Breaker Event, specifically via the Leaderboard rewards for that event. Later on, it’s likely that Red Stars will be obtainable directly from the event’s Milestones as well. Eventually, Silver Surfer (Breaker) will almost certainly be added to the Elite Store. Other four are older characters so plenty of players might have them at high Red Stars already.
You could also get Red Stars for them from the Incursion Campaign:
- 6 Red Stars for Minn-Erva – Incursion 5-3
- 7 Red Stars for Ebony Maw- Incursion 8-1
- 6 Red Stars for Ronan the Accuser – Incursion 5-3
- 7 Red Stars for Cull Obsidian – Incursion 8-1
Once you manage to collect all 7 Yellow and Red Stars for Silver Surfer (Breaker), and his Diamonds become available, we recommend upgrading his Diamonds as much as possible—as a minimum, aim for at least 3 Diamonds, but ideally try to reach 5. Investing in his Diamonds will significantly boost his power and effectiveness, making him an even stronger asset to your roster.
For the four reworked characters, we also recommend a minimum of 3 Diamonds. Ideally 5.

- On War Offense, if Ebony Maw has 3 other Omen allies, enemies cannot passively Assist and cannot have their Damage increased except by positive effects
- On War Offense, while Ronan the Accuser’s Health is greater than or equal to 50%, lower the enemy’s Crit Chance by 50%
- On War Offense, if Ronan the Accuser has 3 Omen allies, enemies cannot fill the Speed Bar for themselves or their allies
Team Mechanics
The Omen team in the Marvel universe is a mysterious and powerful group formed to confront threats that go far beyond what ordinary heroes can handle. Their origins are closely linked to supernatural events and cosmic forces, with the team assembled specifically to address dangers involving magic, prophecy, or ancient cosmic powers.
The current lineup in MSF consists of Silver Surfer (Breaker), Minn-Erva, Ebony Maw, Ronan the Accuser, and Cull Obsidian. Each member has been selected for their unique connection to the unknown and their experience with extraordinary phenomena.
Operating from the shadows, the Omen team uses their combined knowledge and abilities to prevent catastrophic events that are often foretold by omens or hidden prophecies—hence their name. They are experts at dealing with the mystical and unpredictable, making them a crucial force whenever the fate of the universe hangs in the balance.
Their stories weave together elements of magic, destiny, and cosmic mystery, bringing a unique and intriguing perspective to the Marvel universe.
Omen is a War Offense team in Marvel Strike Force, specifically designed to excel in that game mode. The lineup features the Legendary character Silver Surfer (Breaker) alongside four reworked characters: Minn-Erva, Ebony Maw, Ronan the Accuser, and Cull Obsidian. Silver Surfer (Breaker) is a versatile, plug-and-play Legendary character who can strengthen almost any War meta team, but Omen is his dedicated squad. While players can experiment by using Silver Surfer (Breaker) with other teams, Omen is the group built to maximize his potential.
This team truly shines in War Offense, where they reach their full power and are capable of defeating some of the strongest War defense teams in the game. Silver Surfer (Breaker) possesses a unique effect called Unstable Singularity, which he can apply to enemies with any of his attacks. In War Offense, whenever any Omen ally uses their Ultimate ability, and the affected enemy is attacked, Silver Surfer (Breaker) will passively strike that enemy, dealing significant damage, inflicting Bleed, and filling his own Speed Bar, allowing him to act more frequently.
The rest of the Omen team synergizes strongly with Silver Surfer (Breaker). Briefly, they prevent enemies from passively increasing their Damage, Resistance, and Speed, block assists, reduce enemy Crit Chance by 50%, and stop opponents from manipulating their own Speed Bar. Before Silver Surfer (Breaker) takes his first turn, enemies cannot reduce Omen’s Speed Bar, giving the team a crucial advantage even against faster opponents.
Omen characters benefit from powerful buffs at the start of battle and have multiple ways to heal passively during fights. More details about their abilities and synergies can be found in the following sections.
From a free-to-play perspective, Omen is likely an exclusive, premium team that probably won’t be required for upcoming events, but is incredibly valuable for players who enjoy War and aim for top performance in that mode. Investing in Omen isn’t for everyone, but those who do will find them well worth the effort.
Silver Surfer (Breaker)
Silver Surfer (Breaker) is a compelling version of the classic Marvel character, born out of one of the universe’s darkest events. In Marvel lore, the “Breakers” are heroes who have been corrupted and transformed into villains by the Serpent, an ancient Asgardian fear god and the main antagonist of the “Fear Itself” storyline. The Serpent wields immense power and sends magical hammers to Earth, each one capable of turning a worthy individual into one of his fearsome generals, known as the Worthy or Breakers.
In this alternate story arc, Silver Surfer—originally Norrin Radd, a noble and cosmic-powered herald—falls under the influence of the Serpent. The Serpent’s magic twists his purpose, converting him from a protector of worlds into an agent of chaos and destruction. As Silver Surfer (Breaker), he gains new powers fueled by fear and carries out the Serpent’s will, spreading terror and devastation across the cosmos.
This transformation deeply impacts the Silver Surfer’s character. Once driven by a quest for redemption and peace, he becomes a formidable adversary, struggling against the darkness within. The lore of the Breakers explores the tragic concept of heroes turned against everything they once stood for, showcasing the overwhelming power of corruption and fear.
Silver Surfer (Breaker)’s story is a powerful reminder of the thin line between heroism and villainy and highlights the emotional and moral struggles faced by even the noblest Marvel heroes when confronted by forces beyond their control.
Silver Surfer (Breaker) holds the distinction of being the first Legendary character introduced in the Age of Fear saga. As a powerful brawler, he stands out as a plug-and-play legend for Alliance War Offense, able to dramatically shift the tide of battle for any War team he joins. For those who prefer not to experiment with team compositions, Silver Surfer (Breaker) has a natural place within the Omen team—joining forces with the newly enhanced S.T.R.I.K.E. veterans: Ebony Maw, Cull Obsidian, Minn-Erva, and Ronan the Accuser.
What sets Silver Surfer (Breaker) apart is his access to Awakened Abilities, which further amplify his already formidable strength. Players can unlock this formidable character through his Breaker Event, which takes place during the first two weeks of each month. Whether slotted into a custom War Offense lineup or deployed with his Omen squad, Silver Surfer (Breaker) has the potential to dismantle even the most resilient defensive teams, such as the Winter Guard.
The destructive prowess of Silver Surfer (Breaker) is centered around his unique mechanic—Unstable Singularity. With every strike, including Iso-8 attacks, he inflicts this effect on his enemies, opening them up to devastating consequences. In the War Offense mode, whenever one of his allies uses their Ultimate ability, and no opponent is currently suffering from Unstable Singularity, Silver Surfer (Breaker) will inflict it on a random foe. Enemies marked in this way become prime targets: whenever they are attacked, Silver Surfer (Breaker) delivers an additional assault, dealing Piercing damage and applying two stacks of Bleed for two turns. Simultaneously, he cleanses two negative effects from himself and boosts his Speed Bar, enabling him to act more often. After this retaliatory strike, the Unstable Singularity effect is removed from all enemies. In War Offense, if the marked enemy survives, adjacent foes are also caught in the crossfire.
His special ability allows him to immediately strip Barrier from his main target, inflict Piercing damage, and remove effects like Charged and Taunt. He then follows up with another attack on the primary and adjacent enemies, applying Trauma and Disrupted for two turns, as well as Ability Block for one turn. This combination of effects can cripple even the most stubborn defenders.
Beyond raw damage, Silver Surfer (Breaker) harnesses the Power Cosmic to provide crucial support to his team. On his initial turn, he reduces the duration of all negative effects on himself by two and heals both himself and his allies. If he falls below half health for the first time in a battle, he instantly recovers 50% of his maximum HP. In War Offense, whenever an ally drops below 50% health, he heals them as well—and if the ally is a member of the Omen team, the healing is even greater.
Silver Surfer (Breaker) is a game-changing force in Alliance War, capable of dismantling top-tier defenses and keeping his team in the fight through a combination of relentless offense and strategic support.
Silver Surfer (Breaker)’s Basic attack the primary target with 300% Piercing damage, while also striking all adjacent foes for 270% damage. This attack flips three positive effects on both the main target and those nearby, and removes two negative effects from himself. Additionally, if no opponent currently has Unstable Singularity, he applies that status to a random enemy. When compelled to attack an ally, he deals reduced damage, does not flip positive effects, and does not lower that ally’s Max Health.
Upgrading his Basic ability to the Awakened level significantly improves its potency. The Piercing damage against the primary target increases to 350%, and the damage to adjacent enemies rises to 320%. Most notably, when using the Awakened version, Silver Surfer (Breaker) clears all negative effects from himself, rather than just two, making him much more resilient in battle.
When performing an Iso-8 / Counter Attack / Assist, Silver Surfer (Breaker) strikes the target for 225% Piercing damage, flips three positive effects on the enemy, and clears two negative effects from himself. If no opponent currently has Unstable Singularity, he applies it to the target of the attack. When forced to attack an ally, he instead deals only 45% Piercing damage, does not flip any positive effects, cannot reduce that ally’s Max Health, and does not apply Unstable Singularity.
If his Basic ability is upgraded to the Awakened level, the damage from Iso-8 / Counter Attack / Assist is boosted to 263% Piercing, and he clears all negative effects from himself instead of just two, further enhancing his survivability and impact in battle. He also does a bit more damage to his allies when he is forced to attack one – 53% Piercing.
Special costs 6 Ability Energy and can be unleashed right on Silver Surfer (Breaker)’s first turn. He begins by clearing Barrier from the primary target, then delivers a blow for 360% Piercing damage, while also removing Charged and Taunt from that target. Following this, he attacks the primary and adjacent enemies for 400% damage, applying Trauma and Disrupted for 2 turns and Ability Block for 1 turn.
He then reduces the duration of all negative effects on himself and each ally by 2, and grants both Safeguard and Offense Up for 2 turns to himself and all Omen allies. If no enemy is currently affected by Unstable Singularity, he applies it to a random opponent. Notably, this attack cannot be counterattacked.
With his Special, Silver Surfer (Breaker) doesn’t just deal massive damage to multiple enemies—he also empowers his team by granting them Offense Up to boost their attacking potential and Safeguard to protect their buffs from being removed. At the same time, he exerts strong control over the enemy team by applying Trauma and Ability Block to several targets, making it extremely difficult for them to cleanse debuffs or use their most powerful abilities (Specials and Ultimates).
When this Special is upgraded to the Awakened level, the power increases even further: the primary target suffers 440% Piercing damage, and the secondary attack against the primary and adjacent enemies stays at 400% damage. Additionally, before dealing any damage, Silver Surfer (Breaker) will clear Barrier from all enemies, not just the primary target, making this ability even more devastating.
Silver Surfer (Breaker)’s Ultimate costs 6 Ability Energy and can be used on his third turn, but if he is with the Omen team, because of Ebony Maw’s Passive, and the extra Ability Energy he gains from Ebony, he will be able to use it on his second turn. This ability begins by clearing Barrier from all enemies, then strikes every opponent for 460% Piercing damage, removes two positive effects from each enemy, and applies Heal Block for two turns. He also grants Speed Up for two turns to himself and all allies, ensuring his team acts sooner in the turn order. If no enemy currently has Unstable Singularity, he applies it to a random target.
This attack bypasses Defense Up, cannot be dodged, and cannot be counterattacked. On War Offense, as long as he is teamed with at least three Omen allies, the Ultimate also becomes Unblockable.
Using this Ultimate, Silver Surfer (Breaker) not only delivers massive damage across the entire enemy team, but also strips key buffs and prevents them from healing—while giving his own team a crucial speed advantage.
When upgraded to the Awakened level, the damage ramps up to 550% Piercing to all enemies, and instead of removing just two, he clears all positive effects from every opponent. This not only greatly increases his offensive power but also maximizes his ability to neutralize enemy buffs, making the Awakened Ultimate an incredibly impactful move.
Through his Passive ability, Silver Surfer (Breaker) provides immediate and powerful support to his team as soon as battle begins. On spawn, he grants both Defense Up and Offense Up for two turns to himself and all Omen allies, giving them a strong advantage right from the start. On his first turn, he reduces the duration of all negative effects on himself by 2 (anti-Trama mechanic) and heals both himself and all allies for 20% of his Max Health.
The first time Silver Surfer (Breaker) drops below 50% health, he instantly heals himself for 50% of his Max Health. On War Offense, the first time any ally falls below 50% health, he heals that ally for 25% of his Max Health – or, if the ally is an Omen member, for a substantial 50% of his Max Health.
A key aspect of his Passive is the unique Unstable Singularity mechanic. Whenever an enemy afflicted with Unstable Singularity is attacked, Silver Surfer (Breaker) delivers a passive strike, dealing 250% Piercing damage, applying two Bleed effects for two turns, clearing two negative effects from himself, and boosting his Speed Bar by 10%. After this attack, Unstable Singularity is removed from all enemies. In War Offense, this passive strike can also affect adjacent targets if the marked enemy is alive.
Until Silver Surfer (Breaker) takes his first turn, neither he nor his allies can gain Heal Block, nor can their Speed Bars be reduced, making them especially resilient at the start of battle.
Additionally, on War Offense, whenever an ally uses their Ultimate ability, Silver Surfer (Breaker) attacks the enemy with the lowest Resistance for 250% Piercing damage and clears two negative effects from himself. If no enemy currently bears Unstable Singularity, he applies it to a random opponent.
The passive damage output from these effects is significant, and in some situations, can be a game-changer.
When his Passive is upgraded to the Awakened version, its power increases dramatically. Offense Up and Defense Up are applied to all allies at the start of battle, not just Omen characters. Whenever an enemy with Unstable Singularity is attacked, Silver Surfer (Breaker) retaliates with 350% Piercing damage (a 100% boost compared to the standard version), clears all negative effects from himself (up from just two), and fills his Speed Bar by 20% instead of 10%. In War Offense, when an ally uses their Ultimate, Surfer’s passive attack on the enemy with the lowest Resistance also deals 350% Piercing damage (up from 250%).
This Awakened Passive is arguably his most impactful Awakened upgrade, as it greatly increases his passive damage, allows him to fully cleanse himself, and enables him to fill his Speed Bar much faster—making him act more frequently and dominate the flow of battle.
Minn-Erva
Minn-Erva is a notable character in the Marvel universe, best known as a Kree geneticist and scientist with deep ambitions and a complex moral compass. Originating from the technologically advanced Kree Empire, Minn-Erva—sometimes spelled Minerva—has been both ally and adversary to some of Marvel’s most prominent cosmic heroes.
Driven by a desire to unlock the secrets of genetic perfection, Minn-Erva devoted her career to experiments intended to enhance the Kree race. Her intellect and scientific prowess are matched only by her ambition, often putting her at odds with both her superiors and with heroes who threaten her plans. She has collaborated with figures like Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers), sometimes serving the Kree’s interests, and at other times pursuing her own agenda.
Minn-Erva’s work frequently pushes the boundaries of ethics, leading her to participate in risky or morally questionable experiments. Her quest for advancement and recognition has occasionally driven her into direct conflict with Earth’s heroes, and she is known for her resourcefulness and cunning in battle as well as in the laboratory.
Despite her antagonistic roles, Minn-Erva is a complex character whose motivations stem from a genuine belief in the potential of science to transform her people. Her actions often blur the line between villainy and visionary, making her one of the Kree Empire’s most intriguing and enduring figures in the Marvel universe.
Minn-Erva is a powerful Support character in Marvel Strike Force, renowned for her exceptional ability to keep her team alive through both direct healing and the application of Regeneration effects. She can even bring a fallen ally back into the fight with her Revive ability. Whenever an ally is defeated, Minn-Erva passively gains Speed Bar, allowing her to take turns more quickly and potentially Revive the fallen teammate right when it’s most needed.
Beyond her healing skills, Minn-Erva is capable of generating Ability Energy for her Omen or Kree allies, as well as providing valuable buffs like Deflect and Deathproof. She also passively heals the most injured ally each time an enemy dies, further boosting her team’s sustain throughout the battle.
Her support doesn’t stop there—Minn-Erva can steal Health from enemies and redistribute it among her allies, making her sustain toolkit even more formidable. She has the ability to clear the Revive Once status from all opponents and reduce the duration of their positive effects, which acts as an anti-Safeguard mechanic (this effect is exclusive to War Offense). She can also apply Bleed to enemies and enjoys specific bonuses when fighting alongside her Omen team in War Offense, where her presence truly shines.
When used in War Offense with Omen allies, Minn-Erva prevents opponents from passively increasing their Resistance and Speed. She can also call in Silver Surfer (Breaker) to attack an enemy—or, if he is not present, the ally with the highest damage, which can trigger Silver Surfer (Breaker) to apply his Unstable Singularity debuff and exploit it later on.
On Spawn, Minn-Erva gains Revive Once herself, giving her a chance to return to battle if she’s knocked out early. All of these abilities make her a brutal Support who not only keeps her team alive but can also weaken the enemy squad, making her invaluable to the Omen team.
With Basic, she attacks the primary target for 280% damage and applies two stacks of Bleed for two turns. At the same time, Minn-Erva grants two stacks of Regeneration for two turns to the most injured non-summoned ally, helping to sustain her team during battle.
On War Offense, if Minn-Erva is forced to attack an ally, she deals reduced damage to Omen characters, does not inflict any negative effects, and—if Silver Surfer (Breaker) is on the team—does not reduce that ally’s Max Health. This ensures her attacks are less punishing to her own squad in those situations, maintaining her strong support role.
Minn-Erva’s Special costs 5 Ability Energy and can be used on her first turn. When activated, she revives a dead ally, restoring them with 50% of their Max Health and granting them two stacks each of Deathproof and Deflect for added protection. She also heals the most injured ally for 35% of her own Max Health, further boosting her team’s survivability.
In addition, Minn-Erva generates 1 Ability Energy for two random Kree or Omen allies, helping the team cycle their abilities faster. On War Offense, if Silver Surfer (Breaker) is on the team, she calls him to attack the primary target. If he isn’t present, she instead calls the Omen ally with the highest Damage to attack. This ensures extra offensive pressure and strong synergy with her team in War battles.
When Minn-Erva uses her Ultimate, she steals 15% Health from all enemies and redistributes it evenly among all allies, bypassing Heal Block and ensuring her team gets healed no matter the circumstances. She also clears Revive Once from all enemies, applies two stacks of Bleed for two turns to every opponent, and grants two Deflect to herself and all Kree and Omen allies, along with two stacks of Regeneration for two turns to all allies.
On War Offense, if there are at least three Omen allies on the team, the ability becomes even stronger: Minn-Erva steals an additional 15% Health from all enemies (30% in total) and redistributes it to her allies, reduces the duration of all positive effects on all enemies by two (acting as an anti-Safeguard mechanic), and the attack gains +500% Extra Focus. Additionally, the attack is unavoidable and cannot be blocked or counterattacked, making it highly reliable and disruptive against enemy teams.
Ultimate costs 7 Ability Energy and, like Special, is available right from her first turn.
Through her Passive ability, Minn-Erva gains Revive Once at the start of battle, allowing her to return to life with 60% of her Max Health if she’s defeated. Whenever an ally dies, her Speed Bar is filled by 25%, letting her play sooner—often giving her the chance to revive or heal fallen teammates just when it’s needed most.
Each time an enemy is defeated, Minn-Erva heals the most injured non-summoned ally for 20% of her own Max Health. If that ally is Kree or Omen, she also grants them a random positive effect, further strengthening her team.
On War Offense, when Minn-Erva is teamed with at least three other Omen allies, enemy characters can no longer passively increase their Resistance or Speed except through active positive effects. This makes it much harder for opponents to outpace or outlast the Omen team, giving Minn-Erva and her allies a strong advantage in battle.
Ebony Maw
Ebony Maw is best known as a master manipulator and an influential member of Thanos’s Black Order. Unlike most of his peers, Ebony Maw rarely engages in direct combat. Instead, he wields his intelligence, persuasive skills, and mastery of telepathy to influence, deceive, and control others.
As one of Thanos’s most trusted lieutenants, Ebony Maw has orchestrated some of the Mad Titan’s most devious plans. His words are as sharp as any weapon, allowing him to twist the minds of allies and enemies alike, often turning the tide of battle without ever lifting a finger. Ebony Maw has even managed to manipulate powerful beings such as Doctor Strange, demonstrating the extent of his cunning and psychological prowess.
His loyalty to Thanos is unwavering, and his actions are always calculated to further his master’s goals. He is known for his calm, almost unnerving presence on the battlefield, where his mere words can sow confusion and doubt among opponents. His deep understanding of strategy and manipulation makes him a dangerous adversary, both on his own and as part of the Black Order.
Despite his villainous nature, Ebony Maw’s intelligence and subtlety set him apart from more brute-force antagonists in the Marvel universe. He is a character who operates in the shadows, pulling strings and shaping outcomes from behind the scenes, making him one of the most formidable and enigmatic figures among Thanos’s followers.
Ebony Maw is a Legendary character in Marvel Strike Force who plays the Support role, but his toolkit also allows him to inflict some of the most troublesome debuffs on his enemies. At the start of every battle, Ebony Maw provides his Omen team with extra Ability Energy, enabling allies to use some of their abilities on their first turn that they otherwise wouldn’t have access to (they do not have enough Ability Energy for them) – making Omen teams far more explosive at the beginning of combat.
When used in War Offense with the Omen team, Ebony Maw passively prevents enemies from assisting and from increasing their Damage, which greatly limits the offensive potential of opposing squads. He also has a unique synergy with Thanos, granting him the Reality, Time, and Soul Stones, which are essential for empowering Thanos during battle.
Ebony Maw is also capable of stealing Health from enemies and redistributing it to his own team, helping to keep his allies alive throughout the fight. He can flip positive effects on enemies, apply Slow and Trauma to the entire opposing team, and fill the Speed Bar of his Black Order or Omen allies while simultaneously reducing the Speed Bar of his enemies. Additionally, he can apply Offense Down to all enemies, weakening their attacks, and clear strong buffs like Counter, Deflect, and Minor Deflect from opponents, while granting Defense Up and Counter to his own team. He’s even able to apply Bleed to select enemies, adding to his disruptive arsenal.
Although Ebony Maw is classified as a Support character, his abilities go far beyond simple healing or buffing. He possesses the traits of a top-tier Controller, offering both protection to his team and significant disruption to his enemies. This makes him a cornerstone for both Omen and Black Order teams, playing a vital role in their overall effectiveness.
Ebony Maw’s Basic attack the primary target for 180% Piercing damage, then follows up with three bonus attacks, each dealing 140% Piercing. He applies two Bleed to the primary target, but if that target is a Hero Controller, he instead applies two Bleed for two turns, making the debuff even more punishing.
On War Offense, if Ebony Maw is forced to attack an ally, he deals reduced damage to Omen members, does not apply any negative effects, and—if Silver Surfer (Breaker) is on the team—does not reduce that ally’s Max Health. This ensures that his attacks are less harmful to his own team in these situations.
When Ebony Maw uses his Special – which costs 5 Ability Energy and is available on his first turn – he grants Defense Up for 2 turns to himself and all allies, boosting their mitigation. He also applies Counter to himself, as well as to all Black Order and Omen allies, allowing them to strike back when attacked.
At the same time, Ebony Maw weakens the enemy team by applying Offense Down for 2 turns to all opponents, reducing the damage they can deal. He also clears Counter, Deflect, and Minor Deflect from all enemies, stripping away some of their strongest defensive buffs.
On War Offense, if Silver Surfer (Breaker) is on the team, Ebony Maw calls him to attack the primary target, adding extra offensive pressure right from the start of the fight. This will allow Silver Surfer (Breaker) to apply his Unstable Singularity on that enemy if there are no enemies with that debuff, and to exploit it later on.
His Ultimate costs 7 Ability Energy and is usually available on his second turn. However, thanks to his Passive, which grants 1 Ability Energy to himself and his Omen allies at the start of battle, Ebony Maw can (in almost every situation) use it right away on his first turn.
When activated, Ebony Maw steals 3% Health from all enemies and redistributes it to all allies, bypassing Heal Block to guarantee healing. If he has at least three Omen allies on his team, he also flips one positive effect on each enemy to a negative effect with every strike. This attack repeats four additional times, meaning Ebony Maw hits all enemies five times in total—stealing a cumulative 15% Health from the opposition and flipping up to five positive effects on each enemy into negatives.
In addition, his Ultimate applies Slow and Trauma for two turns to all enemies, further crippling the opposing team. Ebony Maw also fills the Speed Bar for himself and all allies by 5% for each Black Order or Omen ally (20% in total if he is with a full Omen or Black Order team), while reducing the Speed Bar of all enemies by the same amount per Black Order or Omen ally (20% in total if he is with a full Omen or Black Order team). Each hit from this Ultimate can redistribute up to a maximum of 30% of Ebony Maw’s Max Health. On War Offense, this attack is Unavoidable, making it even more reliable and devastating in battle.
Passive provides powerful benefits right at the start of battle. On spawn, Ebony Maw applies Regeneration for 2 turns, 2 Deathproof, and Immunity for 2 turns to himself and all Support Omen allies – Minn-Erva also receives these buffs because she is a Support Omen character. He also generates 1 Ability Energy for himself and all Omen allies, allowing the team to use their abilities sooner.
Whenever Thanos takes his turn, if he lacks the Reality Stone, Time Stone, or Soul Stone, Ebony Maw grants him all three, along with Regeneration for 2 turns, 2 Deathproof, and Immunity for 2 turns. This effect can only be triggered once per match, ensuring Thanos gets empowered early in the fight.
On War Offense, when Ebony Maw is teamed with at least three Omen allies, his Passive further limits the enemy team: opponents cannot assist passively, and their Damage cannot be increased except through active positive effects. This greatly reduces the offensive threat from enemy teams and gives Omen a strong advantage in War battles.
Ronan the Accuser
Ronan the Accuser is a powerful and iconic character, most famously known as a high-ranking member of the Kree Empire. As an Accuser, Ronan serves as both judge and executioner, wielding enormous authority and upholding the strict laws of the Kree. His sense of duty and justice is unwavering, often bordering on fanaticism, as he pursues what he believes to be the righteous path for his people.
Ronan is recognized for wielding the Universal Weapon, a massive warhammer capable of manipulating energy, firing devastating blasts, and enabling him to fly. This weapon is a symbol of his status and is central to his fearsome reputation across the galaxy. Throughout his appearances in comics, animated series, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Ronan is portrayed as a complex figure—sometimes a villain, sometimes an antihero—driven by honor, pride, and loyalty to the Kree.
His storylines often place him at the center of major cosmic conflicts. He has clashed with the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and even his own Kree superiors when their actions conflicted with his sense of justice. Despite his harsh methods, Ronan is not without depth; he has shown moments of doubt, compassion, and even rebellion against corrupt Kree leadership.
Ronan the Accuser stands as a symbol of Kree strength and conviction, embodying both the discipline and the dangers of absolute authority. His legacy in Marvel is that of a relentless enforcer—one whose quest for justice leaves a lasting impact on all who cross his path.
In Marvel Strike Force, Ronan the Accuser is classified as a Controller, with the ability to summon Kree Minions who assist him and his team in battle. He passively boosts these minions, giving them increased Health and Damage when fighting in War Offense, making them much more effective on the frontline.
Ronan also provides passive healing for his Omen and Kree allies. Whenever an Omen or Kree teammate receives Ability Energy, Ronan heals that character, enhancing the team’s overall sustain. In War Offense, he further supports the Omen team by preventing enemies from manipulating their own Speed Bar, reducing enemy Crit Chance, and applying Immunity on Spawn to all Omen allies—offering crucial protection from debuffs at the start of battle.
His skill set allows him to apply Ability Block to multiple enemies—on War Offense, he can even Ability Block the entire enemy team. He’s also capable of clearing all negative effects from himself and all Omen allies in War Offense, while outside War Offense, he removes two negative effects from all allies.
Ronan’s toolkit makes him a Controller with strong Support qualities, much like other Omen characters, blending crowd control, healing, and both offensive and defensive strengths. This combination of abilities ensures he remains a flexible and valuable asset to the Omen team.
When Ronan uses his Basic attack, he removes two positive effects from the primary target before dealing 300% damage plus an additional 30% Piercing. This attack is Unavoidable, ensuring it always lands regardless of the enemy’s evasion or defensive buffs.
On War Offense, if Ronan is forced to attack an ally, he deals reduced damage to Omen characters and, if Silver Surfer (Breaker) is present, does not reduce that ally’s Max Health. This helps minimize accidental harm to his own team, keeping his supportive role intact.
Ronan’s Special costs 5 Ability Energy and can be used on his first turn. When activated, he summons two Kree allies, which can be either Elite Kree Noble or Elite Kree Reaper. He also clears two negative effects from himself and all allies, helping to keep his team in fighting shape.
In War Offense, the summoned Kree allies receive two stacks of Deathproof and Defense Up for two turns, making them much more durable. Additionally, Ronan clears all negative effects from himself and all Omen allies, providing even stronger support and protection for his core team.
Ultimate costs 6 Ability Energy and is available on Ronan’s second turn. However, when teamed with Omen allies, Ebony Maw provides extra Ability Energy at the start of battle, allowing Ronan to use his Ultimate right away on his first turn.
When activated, Ronan attacks all enemies for 400% damage plus an additional 30% Piercing. He applies Ability Block for 2 turns to the primary target and for 1 turn to two additional enemies, significantly disrupting the enemy team’s ability to use their most powerful abilities.
On War Offense, if Ronan has at least three Omen allies, this ability becomes even more potent: he applies Ability Block for 2 turns to all enemies, shutting down their special and ultimate abilities across the board and giving his team a major advantage in the fight.
Passive provides his team with strong protection and healing. On spawn, Ronan gains Immunity for 2 turns, shielding himself from negative effects at the start of battle. Whenever he, a Kree ally, or an Omen ally receives generated Ability Energy, Ronan heals that character for 25% of his own Max Health—this can even be triggered by passive effects, offering reliable sustain throughout the fight.
In War Offense, his Passive becomes even more impactful. At the start of battle, he also applies Immunity for 2 turns to all Omen allies, protecting the entire team from debuffs. While Ronan’s own Health is at or above 50%, he reduces enemy Crit Chance by 50%, significantly lowering the risk of critical hits against his squad.
With three Omen allies present, enemies are prevented from filling their Speed Bar for themselves or their teammates, effectively shutting down a key method of turn manipulation. Additionally, any Kree Minions Ronan summons gain a substantial boost: +50% Max Health and +30% Damage, making them much tougher and deadlier in War Offense scenarios.
Cull Obsidian
Cull Obsidian, also known as Black Dwarf, is one of the most formidable members of Thanos’s Black Order in the Marvel universe. He is renowned for his immense strength, brute force, and unwavering loyalty to Thanos. As the powerhouse of the Black Order, Cull Obsidian serves as the group’s primary enforcer, often leading charges into battle and overwhelming foes with his sheer physical might.
Unlike some of his more cunning or mystical teammates, Cull Obsidian relies on raw power and durability. He wields massive weapons—usually a giant mace or axe—which he uses to devastating effect against anyone who stands in the way of Thanos’s ambitions. His armored appearance and towering stature make him an intimidating presence on the battlefield, capable of absorbing and dealing tremendous amounts of damage.
Cull Obsidian’s role in the Black Order is that of a relentless juggernaut. He acts as Thanos’s shield and hammer, using his size and strength to protect his allies and crush his enemies. While he is not known for elaborate schemes or manipulation, his loyalty and effectiveness in combat make him an indispensable asset to any force led by Thanos.
Across comics, animated series, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Cull Obsidian is depicted as a nearly unstoppable force—a living weapon who embodies the destructive power of the Black Order. His dedication to Thanos and his willingness to face any opponent head-on have cemented him as one of Marvel’s most iconic cosmic bruisers.
Cull Obsidian is a Protector in Marvel Strike Force, built for exceptional durability and designed to safeguard his team. He plays a pivotal role in empowering Thanos by providing him with the Power Stone, enabling Thanos to become Empowered during battle. In War Offense, when Cull Obsidian is part of the Omen team, he gains Taunt for 2 turns on spawn, immediately drawing enemy attacks and shielding his allies.
Cull’s mitigation is particularly strong. Whenever his Health drops to certain thresholds (75%, 50%, and 25%), he passively gains a stack of Deathproof. While he has either Deathproof or Regeneration, Cull Obsidian’s Resistance skyrockets by 1000%, making it extremely difficult for enemies to land debuffs on him. He can also actively gain Deathproof and heal himself when using his Special or Basic abilities, further enhancing his survivability.
Cull Obsidian’s protective nature goes beyond just soaking up damage—whenever an enemy attacks an Omen or Black Order ally, Cull will counterattack that enemy, serving as a deterrent and adding extra pressure on opponents. He also has the ability to copy and clear all positive effects from a primary target onto himself. In War Offense, after copying buffs to himself, he then distributes those positive effects (except Taunt and Stealth) to all Omen allies, spreading crucial buffs across the team.
Additionally, Cull can clear all negative effects from himself with his Special, and in War Offense, he extends this cleanse to the entire team. His Basic attack can also grant Counter and Deathproof, boosting both his offensive and defensive capabilities.
Overall, Cull Obsidian is a highly resilient Protector who not only absorbs damage for his team but also shares valuable buffs and retaliates against threats, making him a cornerstone of both Omen and Black Order teams in War Offense.
Cull Obsidian’s Basic attacks the primary and adjacent targets for 300% damage. After the attack, he gains 2 Counter, up to a maximum of 4, allowing him to retaliate when attacked.
In War Offense, using his Basic also grants him 1 Deathproof, stacking up to 5, which further boosts his survivability. If Cull is forced to attack an ally during War Offense, he deals reduced damage to Omen characters and, if Silver Surfer (Breaker) is present, does not reduce that ally’s Max Health. This ensures his attacks are less harmful to his own team in those situations.
Cull Obsidian’s Special costs 5 Ability Energy and can be used on his first turn. When activated, he clears 2 negative effects from himself. However, if he has a Legendary Villain ally (such as Ebony Maw or Silver Surfer (Breaker)), he instead clears all negative effects from himself.
After cleansing, Cull gains Taunt for 2 turns, Defense Up for 2 turns, and 2 Deathproof (up to a maximum of 5), significantly boosting his durability. He also heals himself for 25% of his Max Health, helping him stay in the fight.
On War Offense, if Cull Obsidian has at least three Omen allies, his Special becomes even stronger: he calls a random Omen ally to attack the primary target and clears all negative effects from both himself and all Omen allies, providing powerful team-wide cleansing and added offensive pressure.
Ultimate costs 5 Ability Energy and is normally available on Cull Obsidian’s second turn. However, when Cull is teamed with Ebony Maw, he will receive extra Ability Energy at the start of battle from him, allowing Cull to use his Ultimate on his very first turn.
With this ability, he attacks the primary target for 550% damage, plus an additional 25% damage for each Deathproof he currently has on himself. He then copies and clears all positive effects from the primary target onto himself, gaining any buffs the enemy had.
On War Offense, if Cull Obsidian has at least three Omen allies, he goes a step further: after copying buffs to himself, he also copies and clears all positive effects (except Taunt and Stealth) from himself to each Omen ally, spreading those buffs across the team for maximum impact.
Passive grants him strong defensive and retaliatory capabilities right from the start of battle. On spawn, Cull gains Defense Up for 2 turns, immediately making him tougher to take down. When Thanos takes his turn, if he doesn’t already have the Power Stone, Cull Obsidian gives him the Power Stone and also grants Thanos Defense Up for 2 turns. This effect can only happen once per match, but it’s crucial for empowering Thanos early.
Whenever an enemy attacks a Black Order or Omen ally, Cull Obsidian automatically counterattacks that enemy for 300% damage, serving as a constant threat and protector for his team. As Cull’s Health drops to 75%, 50%, and 25%, he passively gains a stack of Deathproof (up to 5), greatly increasing his survivability.
If Cull has Taunt and falls to or below 25% Health, the first time any character takes a turn, he heals himself for 40% of his Max Health, giving him a chance to recover and continue protecting his allies. As long as Cull has either Deathproof or Regeneration, his Resistance is boosted by an incredible +1,000%, making him extremely difficult to debuff.
On War Offense, if Cull is joined by at least three Omen allies, he also gains Taunt for 2 turns on spawn, ensuring he draws enemy attacks and shields his team right at the start of battle. This combination of defenses and counterattacks makes Cull Obsidian an exceptionally sturdy and impactful Protector for both Omen and Black Order teams.
Combat Tips & Tricks
The Omen team is designed to deliver outstanding results as a War Offense squad, and they come with a suite of unique bonuses that make them one of the current META teams for this game mode. Omen’s kit allows them to shut down enemy teams by preventing opponents from boosting their Damage, Resistance, and Speed, cutting enemy Crit Chance by 50%, blocking assists, and stopping opponents’ Speed Bar manipulation. Until Silver Surfer (Breaker) takes his first turn, the Omen team’s Speed Bar also cannot be reduced—providing a crucial defensive edge even against some of the game’s fastest opponents. Silver Surfer (Breaker) is the fastest member (Speed 129), so he always goes first among Omen, but given the number of quick characters in the game, some enemies may play before Omen gets their opening. That’s where Omen’s exceptional mitigation and sustain come into play.
Healing is a constant for this team—Omen characters passively restore Health whenever they gain Ability Energy, not just at the start of battle from Ebony Maw’s Passive, but also when Minn-Erva uses her Special. Before Silver Surfer (Breaker) takes his first turn, the Omen team is also immune to Heal Block, so healing is always available even if the enemy manages to land early hits. On his opening move, Silver Surfer (Breaker) reduces the duration of all negative effects on himself by 2, effectively cleansing away any debuffs (even if he has Trauma), and follows up with a devastating Special. His Special can hit the primary target twice and adjacent targets once for huge damage, often eliminating a key enemy right away. It also reduces the duration of all negative effects on him and his allies, then grants Safeguard and Offense Up for two turns to the entire Omen team. His Ultimate, on the other hand, strikes every enemy, clears their positive effects, and grants Speed Up to his team, letting them play sooner, and he will be able to use it on his second turn.
Every War Offense battle with Omen begins with top-tier buffs: Defense Up, Offense Up, Immunity, and an extra Ability Energy, giving them immediate protection and an offensive boost. Their passive healing is enhanced by their Ability Energy mechanics, and Minn-Erva’s Special can further accelerate heals whenever she’s called upon.
Minn-Erva, who plays after Silver Surfer (Breaker), can use her Ultimate to steal a huge portion of Health from all enemies and redistribute it to her team, while also granting Deflect and Regeneration to her allies and Bleed to the enemy. In War Offense, her Ultimate can reduce the duration of all positive effects on enemies, removing buffs even through Safeguard. If an Omen ally falls, her Special can revive them—keeping the team at full strength.
Ebony Maw follows, and his Ultimate mirrors Minn-Erva’s by stealing Health from enemies and redistributing it, while also manipulating Speed Bars, applying Slow and Trauma, and flipping a stack of positive effects into negatives for every opponent. This is followed by Ronan, who can either summon Kree Minions (for extra support and presence) or hit all enemies with Ability Block (2 turns) across the board—another powerful layer of control. Finally, Cull Obsidian, the slowest member, can use his Ultimate to steal all buffs from a chosen enemy and share them with his team, or use his Special to regain Taunt and cleanse all negative effects from Omen allies.
The Omen team constantly heals, steals Health from enemies, buffs themselves, strips buffs from opponents, and applies heavy debuffs. Silver Surfer (Breaker) is at the center of this engine, constantly applying Unstable Singularity to enemy targets, triggering passive attacks, and boosting his own performance. Against most enemy teams, Omen will rarely struggle to secure victory.
If the full Omen squad ever faces a defensive team that’s too tough, you can always swap out one member (usually Cull Obsidian, as he’s the slowest, despite being a great Protector) for another META MSF character to further strengthen Silver Surfer (Breaker) and the Omen core.
For many, Omen is considered a luxury team—not a must-have for every player, but for anyone focused on War and aiming for top results, investing resources into Omen will be an easy decision. Their blend of sustain, control, and raw power makes them a dominant force in War Offense.
