Amazing Avenger
Introduction
Amazing Avenger is a team built specifically for Alliance Raids, with Blade (Mighty) as their leader and central figure. He’s the second Mighty character introduced for the Age of Fear, and investing in him—as well as the rest of the Amazing Avenger team—is highly recommended for all players, since Raid rewards are a key part of gear progression in Marvel Strike Force.
The team consists of three brand-new characters—Blade (Mighty), Spider-Woman (Julia), and Rachel Cole-Alves—joined by two reworked classics: Spider-Man and Hulk. In terms of traits, Blade (Mighty) is a Mystic character, Rachel Cole-Alves is Skill, and the remaining three are Bio. Each team member fills a specific role: Blade (Mighty) is the team’s Support, Spider-Woman (Julia) acts as the Controller, Rachel Cole-Alves is a Blaster, Hulk is the Protector, and Spider-Man plays the Brawler role. All five are Hero characters. Rachel Cole-Alves, and Hulk are Global, while Blade (Mighty), Spider-Woman (Julia) and Spider-Man have City traits.

Utility
- Alliance Raids
This team is built specifically for Raids. Together, the Amazing Avengers are equipped to handle wave after wave of Raid enemies, making them highly effective for this game mode. They are set to become the next dedicated Raid team, especially with the upcoming Trepidation Raid on the horizon. Until the new Raid is available, the Amazing Avengers can already be put to use in the Annihilation Raid, as well as in Alliance War, where they have the potential to challenge and defeat other top Raid teams on defense.
Team Placement & Turn Order
We’ll place Hulk in one corner, since he’s a Protector who spawns with Taunt and will draw attacks away from the rest of the team. Next to him goes Spider-Man, who has an increased Dodge chance—this positioning means he’ll take less AOE damage if enemies use attacks that hit the primary and adjacent targets on Hulk. Blade (Mighty) should be in the center. On the other end, place Spider-Woman (Julia) and Rachel Cole-Alves, rounding out the formation for optimal team synergy and survivability.
Turn Order:
- Spider-Man – 128 Speed
- Spider-Woman (Julia) – 126 Speed
- Rachel Cole-Alves – 125 Speed
- Blade (Mighty) – 123 Speed
- Hulk – 104 Speed
Iso-8 Classes
- Rachel Cole-Alves – Raider / Striker
- Spider-Woman (Julia) – Raider / Skirmisher
- Blade (Mighty) – Raider / Healer / Striker
- Spider-Man – Striker
- Hulk – Striker / Healer
Rachel Cole-Alves is an excellent choice for the Raider Iso-8 class, as all of her attacks hit multiple enemies. Every time she lands a critical hit, she fills her own Speed Bar by 10%, and in Raids, she also fills the Speed Bar of the entire team by 10%. Her Passive also increases both her own and all Amazing Avenger allies’ Crit Chance by +10% per enemy with Bleed, up to a maximum of +50%. Since the Amazing Avenger team applies a lot of Bleed effects to enemies, the whole team will benefit from this increased Crit Chance, making Raider the optimal Iso-8 class for her.
Alternatively, Rachel Cole-Alves can also work well as a Striker, especially if you build the team with Spider Woman Julia as a Skirmisher. Julia frequently assists all Amazing Avenger allies, so having the rest of the team as Strikers and Julia as a Skirmisher creates a strong Striker-Skirmisher combo. Both setups are valid options, depending on your overall team strategy and Iso-8 needs.
Spider-Woman (Julia) is an excellent fit for the Raider Iso-8 class, as her Special hits all enemies and her Ultimate is a chain attack that can also target multiple opponents. Raider is especially effective for her because, when she’s on the Amazing Avenger team, she passively gains increased Crit Chance from Rachel Cole-Alvez’s Passive. This means she’ll benefit even more from the Raider’s bonus crit effects.
Alternatively, she can also be used as a Skirmisher. Since Julia assists every Amazing Avenger ally, setting her up as a Skirmisher while the rest of the team are Strikers creates a strong Striker-Skirmisher combo. This setup maximizes Vulnerable application and follow-up damage, making either Raider or Skirmisher a strong Iso-8 choice for Spider-Woman (Julia), depending on your team’s needs.
Blade (Mighty) can be effective with several different Iso-8 classes. Raider is a strong option, as most of his abilities hit multiple enemies, and thanks to Rachel Cole-Alvez’s Passive, he will have increased Crit Chance when part of the Amazing Avenger team. This ensures that Raider’s enhanced Crit Damage will be consistently triggered, especially when enemies have Bleed, maximizing his overall damage output.
He can also work well as a Healer, since his main role is support. Equipping him with the Healer Iso-8 class will further boost his healing capabilities for the team, making him even more valuable in sustaining allies during tough Raid encounters.
Lastly, Blade (Mighty) can be used as a Striker, forming a Striker-Skirmisher combo with Spider Woman Julia, who passively assists every Amazing Avenger ally. This setup increases Vulnerable application and enables extra attacks, offering another strong team synergy option depending on your specific needs and playstyle.
Spider-Man is an excellent Striker, as his Iso-8 attacks grant him additional Evade. If he already has Evade, he instead gains Speed Up, allowing him to take turns more frequently. Evade is especially valuable for him, since every time he dodges an attack, he fills his own Speed Bar by 15% and generates 1 Ability Energy.
Additionally, with Spider Woman Julia passively assisting all Amazing Avenger allies, you can create a strong Striker-Skirmisher combo across the team—including Spider-Man. This synergy further boosts his effectiveness as a Striker, making it the optimal Iso-8 class for him in the Amazing Avenger lineup or when he is used as a plug-and-play character with other characters.
Hulk can be equipped with either the Striker or Healer Iso-8 class. As a Striker, he benefits from the Striker-Skirmisher combo with Spider Woman Julia in the Amazing Avenger team. Every time Hulk performs an Iso-8 follow-up attack, he gains an additional Charged, and each Charged stack boosts his Damage and Armor by 10% (up to a maximum of 50%). This makes Striker a great choice for increasing his offensive and defensive potential.
Healer is also a good option for Hulk, as he heals himself when using his Special, which has a relatively low cooldown. By choosing the Healer Iso-8 class, you can further enhance his self-healing, making him even more durable and reliable as a Protector for the team. Both classes have their advantages, so the choice depends on whether you want to maximize Hulk’s survivability or his overall impact through Charged stacking.
Team T4’s
Essential
- Rachel Cole-Alves – Passive
- Spider-Woman (Julia) – Passive, Special, and Ultimate
- Blade (Mighty) – Special, Passive, and Ultimate
- Spider-Man – Passive and Ultimate
- Hulk – Passive
Rachel Colve-Alves
Passive – Every time Rachel lands a Crit, she will fill her own Speed Bar—and in Raids, the Speed Bar of the entire team—by 10% (increased from 5%). This is a very important upgrade, especially in Raids, as it significantly boosts team turn meter and overall performance.
All of Rachel Cole-Alves’s other abilities, when maxed, only increase raw damage. If you have extra T4 Ability materials, you can upgrade her Ultimate, Special, or even Basic, but these upgrades are far from essential and not even particularly recommended—they mainly offer higher damage output without adding significant utility.
Spider-Woman (Julia)
Passive – In Raids, if she has 3 Amazing Avenger allies, Spider-Woman (Julia) will reduce the duration of Safeguard on all enemies by 2 every time she takes a turn. This upgrade is essential for Raid content, as it allows you to consistently remove Safeguard from enemies with each of Julia’s turns, making it much easier to strip away or flip other buffs afterward.
Special – Julia will not only deal more damage with Special but will also apply Blind (for 2 turns) to all enemies that don’t have positive effects. Since both she and Spider-Man can remove or flip buffs from enemies, this upgrade becomes especially powerful in Raids—often allowing Julia to significantly reduce the offensive potential of the opposing team with her Special. Outside of Raids, landing these Blinds can be more challenging if enemies have Safeguard, as the Amazing Avenger team doesn’t have a reliable way to remove Safeguard outside of Raids (except for Spider-Man’s Ultimate, which only affects a single target).
Ultimate – Deal increased damage and, importantly, flip all positive effects into negative effects on both the primary and secondary targets (up from just 2 positives previously). This upgrade is essential for Raids—since Julia will be passively reducing Safeguard on all enemies, she can then follow up by flipping every remaining buff into a debuff on her targets. Outside of Raids, this upgrade can still be useful, but its full potential is realized in Raid content where removing and flipping buffs is crucial for team success.
Blade (Mighty)
Special – Deal more damage, apply Speed Up to himself and all Avenger allies, and reduce the duration of Disrupted, Defense Down, and Heal Block by 2 on himself and all Amazing Avenger allies. In Raids, he will instead reduce the duration of all negative effects. This upgrade is excellent both in Raids and outside of them, as it helps Blade (Mighty) and his Amazing Avenger allies play faster and remove some of the nastier debuffs from the team.
Passive – Blade (Mighty) will apply Defense Up for 2 turns to himself and all Amazing Avenger allies on Spawn. Since his Passive already applies Safeguard for 2 turns to the same group, adding Defense Up significantly boosts the team’s mitigation. With Safeguard active, it becomes much harder for enemies to remove Defense Up, making the team even more resilient at the start of battle.
Ultimate – It will deal increased damage and also revive a dead Amazing Avenger ally with 50% Max Health, along with Safeguard and Speed Up. These buffs will help the revived ally act faster and protect any buffs they gain afterward. In Raids, if there are no Amazing Avenger allies to revive, Blade (Mighty) will generate 4 Ability Energy for himself, allowing him to use his Ultimate again on his next turn and potentially revive an ally who may have been defeated in the meantime.
Spider-Man
Passive – Spider-Man will apply 2 Evade to himself and all Amazing Avenger allies on Spawn, provided there are 3 Amazing Avenger allies present. This is an excellent upgrade that significantly boosts the team’s mitigation and sustain at the start of battle.
Ultimate – Reduce the duration of Safeguard by 1 on the primary target if he has 3 Hero allies, and by 2 if he has 3 Amazing Avenger allies. With this upgrade, Spider-Man’s Ultimate becomes a much more reliable control tool, as he can Stun an opponent regardless of whether they are protected by a combination of buffs like Safeguard plus Immunity. Reducing the duration of Safeguard first ensures that his Ultimate will always be able to clear buffs and apply Stun, making it far more effective against heavily protected targets. In addition to all of that, his Ultimate will also deal increased damage when maxed.
Hulk
Passive – Hulk will reduce the duration of all negative effects on himself by 2 the first time he drops below 50% Health and again when he drops below 25% Health. This means that, regardless of whether he has Trauma or not, he’ll be able to shed debuffs in those critical moments. Additionally, Hulk will gain +10% Damage and Armor per Charged (up from +5%), further boosting both his damage output and survivability. Altogether, this Passive upgrade is essential, as it significantly increases Hulk’s damage, mitigation, and overall sustain in battle.
Recommended
- Spider-Woman (Julia) – Basic
- Blade (Mighty) – Basic
- Spider-Man – Special and Basic
- Hulk – Special, Basic, and Ultimate
Spider-Woman (Julia)
Basic – Spider-Woman (Julia) flips 2 negative effects into positive effects on herself. Since she always assists her Amazing Avenger allies (unless blocked by enemy abilities), every time she performs an Assist, she will also flip two negative effects on herself into positives—if she has any at that moment. This upgrade is extremely useful, allowing Julia to consistently cleanse and even turn debuffs into an advantage in many situations.
Blade (Mighty)
Basic – Will deal increased damage, apply Bleed to the primary target, and call a random Avenger ally to assist. This is a solid upgrade that boosts his offensive capabilities as well as the overall damage potential of the entire team.
Spider-Man
Special – Will deal increased damage and clear 3 positive effects from the primary and secondary targets (up from 2). Since his Special has a low cooldown of just 3 turns and can hit up to 5 enemies, this is a useful upgrade that allows for frequent clearing of buffs from opponents, as well as applying debuffs like Defense Down and Slow.
Basic – More damage. If Spider-Man already has Evade, he will gain Speed Up. Since using his Basic already grants him Evade, this added Speed Up is a great boost, helping him take his next turn sooner and increasing his overall effectiveness in battle.
Hulk
Special – Deals increased damage and clears all negative effects from himself (up from just 3 negative effects). After this upgrade, there’s no need to worry about how many debuffs Hulk has when he uses his Special—he’ll be able to cleanse them all, provided he isn’t affected by Trauma at that moment. This makes the upgrade very useful for ensuring Hulk’s survivability and keeping him effective, especially in debuff-heavy encounters.
Basic – Gain 1 Charged (up to a maximum of 5) every time Hulk uses his Basic attack, in addition to dealing increased damage. This is an essential upgrade because it allows Hulk to accumulate Charged stacks not only when he’s attacked, but also actively through his own turns. Each Charged grants him +10% Damage and Armor, so the sooner he reaches 5 stacks, the better. Being able to gain Charged through his Basic means Hulk can reliably and quickly maximize his damage and survivability.
Ultimate – Apply 2 Bleed and Defense Down to the primary and adjacent targets, and his Ultimate will deal increased Piercing damage. This upgrade is useful because the Amazing Avenger team benefits significantly from having Bleed on enemies. While it’s not essential, it’s always helpful to have more Bleed effects applied to targets.

Rachel Cole-Alves
Rachel Cole-Alves is a striking character in the Marvel universe, known for her resilience, tactical skill, and complex journey. Rachel was a decorated Marine who became forever changed by a personal tragedy. After her husband was killed on their wedding day during a brutal attack by a criminal organization, Rachel set out on a path of vengeance.
Her quest for justice brought her into contact with Frank Castle, the Punisher. Recognizing her determination and military expertise, Castle became both a mentor and an ally to Rachel. Together, they targeted the criminal networks responsible for her loss, with Rachel adopting many of the Punisher’s methods and unwavering sense of purpose.
Rachel Cole-Alves stands out for her tactical mindset, proficiency with a wide range of weapons, and unyielding drive. Unlike some vigilantes, she operates with a code—balancing her desire for retribution with a sense of responsibility. Her journey is defined by themes of loss, redemption, and the search for meaning amid chaos.
In team settings like the Amazing Avengers, Rachel brings her combat skills and focused aggression to the fight. She’s a valuable asset, capable of applying pressure to enemies and delivering high-impact attacks. Her presence on the team is a testament to her evolution from a grieving widow to a formidable hero in her own right.
Rachel Cole-Alves brings precision firepower to the battlefield, cutting through waves of enemies and driving the Amazing Avengers’ momentum forward. Her attacks are designed to inflict heavy damage across multiple targets, especially when she lands critical hits—each Crit not only accelerates her own Speed Bar but also boosts the Speed Bar of her Amazing Avenger allies during Raids. Rachel excels at setting up her team for success by applying Defense Down with her Special and Ultimate abilities, making enemies more vulnerable to follow-up attacks. The more Bleeds she inflicts, the more her team’s Crit Chance increases, reaching up to 50%. With every critical strike, Rachel prolongs Bleeds on all enemies, making her an essential force for sustained offensive pressure and enabling her allies to capitalize on weakened opponents.
Rachel Cole-Alves’s Basic attack the primary target, dealing 250% damage and applying Offense Down to reduce their attack power. She then chains to one adjacent enemy, also dealing 250% damage and applying Offense Down. With Iso-8, Counter Attack, or as an Assist, she strikes the primary target for 205% damage with an additional 17% piercing damage and still applies Offense Down, weakening the enemy’s offensive capabilities.
Special costs 3 Ability Energy, making it a low-cost move that Rachel can use on her very first turn. When activated, she gains Offense Up, boosting her damage output. She then attacks the primary target and adjacent enemies for 340% damage, applying both Bleed and Defense Down to each, setting them up for even more damage from follow-up attacks.
Rachel Cole-Alves’s Ultimate costs 6 Ability Energy, and, same as her Special, she can use it on her very first turn. This powerful move applies Offense Up for 2 turns to herself and all Amazing Avenger allies, greatly enhancing their attack potential. She then attacks all enemies for 350% damage and applies 2 stacks of Bleed. Additionally, all enemies receive +1 Offense Down and +1 Defense Down, up to a maximum of 3 stacks each, making them much more vulnerable to follow-up attacks.
Whenever Rachel Cole-Alves lands a critical hit, her Passive ability comes into play, granting her a 10% boost to her own Speed Bar. In Raids, this effect extends to all Amazing Avenger allies, giving them a 10% Speed Bar increase as well. Each critical hit also prolongs the duration of all Bleed effects on every enemy by 1, maximizing the team’s damage over time. Additionally, Rachel and her Amazing Avenger allies gain +10% Crit Chance for each enemy afflicted with Bleed, up to a maximum of +50%. This Passive not only accelerates the team’s tempo but also amplifies their offensive potential as the battle progresses.
Spider-Woman (Julia)
Few heroes in the Marvel universe can turn the tide of battle quite like Julia Carpenter. As Spider-Woman, Julia weaves more than just psionic webs—she connects teams, strategies, and destinies. Her powers, the result of a secret government experiment, allow her to ensnare foes, swing into action, and shield allies with equal skill.
Julia’s path has taken her from the shadows of clandestine organizations to the front lines alongside the West Coast Avengers, always proving herself under pressure. Balancing her life as a superhero with the responsibilities of motherhood, she brings a depth and determination that resonate with teammates and readers alike.
Stepping into the role of Madame Web only expanded her influence, giving her a new perspective on the interconnectedness of heroes across the Spider-Verse. In the Amazing Avengers, Julia is the tactical core—flipping enemy advantages, sensing danger before it strikes, and ensuring her allies always have the upper hand. Her ability to adapt and lead makes her a cornerstone of any team she joins, and her story is a testament to strength, sacrifice, and the power of connection.
Spider-Woman (Julia) thrives on turning every fight into a tactical puzzle her enemies can’t solve. With her psionic web abilities, she doesn’t just hit hard—she controls the flow of battle, unraveling enemy plans with every move. In Raids, when she’s backed by at least three Amazing Avenger allies, Julia chips away at the enemy’s defenses by reducing the duration of Safeguard on all opponents each time she takes a turn, and every one of her attacks flips positive effects into vulnerabilities.
Before she even plays, the battlefield becomes a trap for her enemies: with three Amazing Avenger allies by her side, foes find themselves unable to manipulate Speed Bar, gain Charged, or pick up Taunt until Julia makes her first turn. Once she strikes, the real disruption begins. Her Ultimate strips all positive effects from her primary target and leaves them Stunned, while her Special attack punishes anyone left without buffs by inflicting both Trauma and Blind. Julia Carpenter keeps her enemies constantly off balance, forcing them to react to her every move while she steadily takes control of the battlefield.
Spider-Woman (Julia)’s Basic attack flips 2 negative effects on herself into positive effects. She then attacks the primary and adjacent targets for 270% damage and flips 2 positive effects on each enemy into negative effects.
When she does Iso-8, Counter Attack, or Assist, she again flips 2 negative effects on herself into positive effects, attacks the primary target for 205% damage plus 17% piercing, and flips 2 positive effects on that enemy into negative effects.
With a cost of 4 Ability Energy, Spider-Woman (Julia) is able to use her Special on her first turn. She attacks all enemies for 320% damage, flipping one random positive effect on each enemy into Defense Down and applying Disrupted for 2 turns. Any target without a positive effect also receives Trauma and Blind, making it harder for them to recover or retaliate.
Ultimate costs 5 Ability Energy and can be used on her first turn. Spider-Woman (Julia) flips all positive effects on the primary target and applies Stun. Then, she chains to 4 adjacent targets, dealing 325% damage to each and flipping all positive effects on those enemies into negative effects. The primary target also takes 325% damage. If any of the chained targets counterattack, the chain is broken.
Spider-Woman (Julia)’s Passive brings a high level of control and support to the Amazing Avengers. Whenever an Amazing Avenger ally takes a turn, she gains Assist Now, letting her jump in and influence the flow of battle more frequently. In Raids, if she has at least three Amazing Avenger allies, every time she takes a turn, she reduces the duration of Safeguard on all enemies by 2, chipping away at their defenses and buffs protection.
Her Passive also sets up a powerful field effect before she even plays—when there are three Amazing Avenger allies, enemies are unable to fill or reduce Speed Bar for themselves, their allies, or other enemies, and they cannot gain Charged or Taunt until Spider Woman Julia takes her turn. This combination of effects makes her a key part of the team’s momentum, shutting down enemy tactics and creating opportunities for her allies.
Blade (Mighty)
Blade (Mighty) doesn’t just hunt vampires—he redefines what it means to stand against the darkness. Born Eric Brooks, he grew up on the edge of two worlds, his unique physiology granting him the strengths of a vampire without their fatal weaknesses. This rare blend of power and resilience quickly made him a legend among both allies and enemies.
During the Fear Itself storyline, Blade received an extraordinary blessing from Odin himself. Recognizing the looming threat of Serpent and his Breaker champions, Odin empowered Blade with mystical “Mighty” abilities, elevating his strength, resilience, and supernatural prowess to new heights. With these Odin-given powers, Blade (Mighty) became one of the chosen defenders capable of facing the greatest threats the world had ever seen.
Armed with supernatural abilities, martial arts mastery, and an arsenal designed to battle the undead, Blade (Mighty) has spent his life waging a tireless war against the forces of evil. His discipline and tactical sense are matched only by his unwavering commitment to protect those who can’t defend themselves.
As part of the Amazing Avengers, Blade (Mighty) is the cornerstone of the team’s strategy. He can heal his allies and generate Ability Energy, ensuring that the group never loses momentum during the most intense encounters. His experience with the supernatural gives the team a crucial edge, helping them adapt to threats others might never see coming.
Driven by purpose and shaped by hardship, Blade (Mighty) stands as a symbol of perseverance. His presence inspires confidence in his teammates and strikes fear into the hearts of enemies—proving that even in the shadow of darkness, one person’s will can become a guiding light.
Blade (Mighty) steps onto the battlefield as the second Mighty hero during the Age of Fear, bringing a unique blend of supernatural resilience and unwavering support to his team. His presence is felt every time the tide of battle turns, especially in Raids, where he ensures that victory over one enemy means a surge of strength for his allies. Whenever an enemy falls, Blade (Mighty) heals himself and all Amazing Avenger allies, grants Barriers to himself and all Avenger allies, and generates Ability Energy for an Amazing Avenger who needs it most.
His connection to the supernatural is most evident when enemies suffer from Bleed. Every time Bleed deals damage, Blade (Mighty) responds by healing himself and his Amazing Avenger allies, while providing Barriers to Avenger teammates who are already at full Health. This turns each wound inflicted on the enemy into a source of restoration and protection for his team.
Blade (Mighty)’s Ultimate move is a true game-changer: he can bring a fallen Amazing Avenger ally back into the fight, reviving them with 50% Health, Safeguard, and Speed Up. With powers bestowed by Odin and a relentless will to protect, Blade (Mighty) transforms moments of danger into opportunities for his team to rally and strike back even stronger.
When Blade (Mighty) uses his Basic attack, he strikes the primary target for 270% damage, applying Bleed and Heal Block to hinder the enemy’s recovery. He then calls a random Avenger ally to assist, increasing the pressure on the opposing team.
Through Iso-8, Counter Attack, or Assist, Blade (Mighty) again attacks the primary target, this time for 205% damage plus an additional 17% piercing, still applying Bleed and Heal Block to keep the opponent vulnerable and unable to heal.
Bleed for 2 turns is applied to the primary target, followed by a powerful attack that hits both the primary and adjacent targets for 380% damage when Blade (Mighty) uses Special. All adjacent targets are also inflicted with Bleed for 2 turns. The duration of Disrupted, Defense Down, and Heal Block is reduced by 2 on Blade (Mighty) and all Amazing Avenger allies—or, in Raids, the duration of all negative effects is shortened instead.
After the offensive strike, Blade (Mighty) heals himself and all Avenger allies for 25% of his Max Health. He then grants Immunity and Speed Up to himself and all Avenger allies. With a cost of 4 Ability Energy, his Special can be used on the first turn to quickly shift the momentum in favor of his team.
Ultimate costs 5 Ability Energy and becomes available on his second turn. With this ability, Blade (Mighty) attacks all enemies for 350% damage and applies Bleed for 2 turns. He grants Immunity to himself and all Avenger allies, then heals himself and all Amazing Avenger allies for 30% of his Max Health. Any Avenger ally at full health receives a Barrier equal to 15% of Blade (Mighty)’s Max Health.
A key feature of this Ultimate is the ability to revive a fallen Amazing Avenger ally, bringing them back with 50% Max Health, Safeguard, and Speed Up. In Raids, if there are no Amazing Avenger allies to revive, Blade (Mighty) instead generates 4 Ability Energy for himself. As a result, he’ll be able to use his Ultimate again on his next turn, giving him another chance to revive an Amazing Avenger ally who might be defeated in the meantime. This mechanic is exclusive to Raids, making Blade (Mighty) especially valuable for sustaining his team during tough encounters in that game mode.
Passive ability provides powerful protection and sustain for Blade (Mighty)’s team from the very start. When he spawns, he applies Safeguard for 2 turns and Defense Up for 2 turns to himself and all Amazing Avenger allies, ensuring early resilience against enemy attacks.
In Raids, his Passive truly shines. Whenever an enemy is defeated, Blade (Mighty) generates 1 Ability Energy for an Amazing Avenger ally or himself—whichever isn’t at full energy at the start of the turn. He also heals himself and all Amazing Avenger allies for 5% of his Max Health, and grants Barrier to himself and any Avenger ally at full health for 5% of his Max Health.
This sustain continues every time an enemy takes damage from Bleed. Blade (Mighty) heals himself and all Amazing Avenger allies for 5% of his Max Health, and once again provides Barrier to himself and all Avenger allies at full health for 5% of his Max Health.
Additionally, when there are three Amazing Avenger allies on the field, his Passive limits enemy speed manipulation—enemies cannot have their Speed increased except through positive effects. This set of abilities makes Blade (Mighty) a core pillar of team defense and recovery, especially in challenging Raid content.
Spider-Man
From humble beginnings in Queens to the front lines of the Marvel universe, Spider-Man’s journey is one of growth, sacrifice, and enduring hope. Peter Parker’s transformation from a shy high school student to a world-renowned hero began when he was bitten by a radioactive spider, granting him superhuman strength, agility, reflexes, and his iconic “spider-sense.” Initially, Peter used his newfound powers for personal gain, but the tragic loss of his Uncle Ben taught him a lesson that would shape his life forever: “With great power comes great responsibility.”
Living by this creed, Spider-Man has dedicated himself to protecting New York City and its people, often at great personal cost. He’s faced a rogues’ gallery of some of Marvel’s most dangerous foes—Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Venom, and many more—relying not just on his powers, but on his sharp intellect, scientific expertise, and relentless determination.
Beyond solo heroics, Spider-Man has become a vital member of numerous teams, including the Avengers and, more recently, the Amazing Avengers. On a team, he’s the glue that keeps others together, offering both moral support and tactical insight. His quick wit and optimism lift his allies’ spirits even in the darkest situations, while his agility and inventive use of webbing make him an unpredictable and valuable asset in battle.
Despite his many hardships—struggles with money, relationships, and the heavy burden of his dual life—Peter never loses sight of why he became Spider-Man. He stands as a symbol of perseverance, resilience, and the belief that anyone, no matter their background, can make a difference. Through every victory and every setback, Spider-Man remains the heart of the Marvel universe, inspiring both heroes and ordinary people alike.
Spider-Man is a Brawler who brings more than just agility and quick attacks to the Amazing Avengers team—he also significantly boosts the squad’s survivability. On Spawn, he applies 2 Evade to the entire team, immediately making everyone harder to hit. Spider-Man himself gains an extra 25% Dodge chance, which is further increased to 50% when facing Villain Spider-Verse enemies. These additional Evades help both him and his allies avoid all attacks that aren’t Unavoidable or undodgeable, providing a layer of protection right from the start.
Each time Spider-Man successfully dodges an enemy attack, he fills his Speed Bar by 15% and generates 1 Ability Energy for himself. This allows him to take turns more frequently and use his abilities more often.
Spider-Man is also highly effective at disrupting opponents. He can remove positive effects from an enemy and apply Stun, and even reduce the duration of Safeguard on that target. His Special allows him to strip positives from multiple enemies while applying Defense Down and Slow, further weakening the opposing team. When using his Basic, Spider-Man gains additional Evade; if he already has Evade, he instead gains Speed Up, letting him play even faster.
Overall, Spider-Man is a versatile character who not only strips buffs and applies debuffs to enemies, but also enhances his team’s defenses through Evades. As a member of the Amazing Avengers, he plays a role in both offense and mitigation, keeping his allies safe while disrupting the enemy’s strategy.
Basic attack deals 270% damage to the primary target, then chains to 2 adjacent enemies for 270% damage each. After attacking, Spider-Man gains Evade. If he already had Evade before using this ability, he instead gains Speed Up, allowing him to act more quickly on his next turn.
Spider-Man’s Special costs just 3 Ability Energy, making it a low-cost ability he can use right on his first turn and frequently throughout the fight. He attacks the primary target for 360% damage, clears 3 positive effects, and applies Defense Down and Slow, both for 2 turns. The attack then chains to 4 adjacent enemies, dealing 360% damage to each, again clearing 3 positive effects and applying Defense Down and Slow for 2 turns. This attack is Unavoidable, cannot be counterattacked, and can even chain to enemies in Stealth.
With a cost of 5 Ability Energy, Spider-Man’s Ultimate becomes available on his second turn. He hits the primary target for 500% damage, and the impact goes beyond raw power. If he’s fighting alongside three Hero allies, he reduces Safeguard on his target by 1—but when joined by three Amazing Avengers, that reduction jumps to 2, making it even easier for the team to remove buffs, then apply debuffs and finish off tough opponents.
After landing the hit, Spider-Man strips away all positive effects from his target, then follows up with Stun and Slow. Stun is always useful to have, so with this ability, Spider-Man’s control becomes even more impactful.
Through his Passive, Spider-Man provides immediate mitigation for the Amazing Avengers team. On Spawn, if there are 3 Amazing Avenger allies present, he applies 2 Evade to himself and all Amazing Avenger allies, increasing their chances to avoid incoming attacks.
Whenever Spider-Man dodges an attack, he fills his Speed Bar by 15% and generates 1 Ability Energy for himself, allowing him to act more frequently and use his abilities more often. Additionally, he gains a permanent +25% Dodge Chance, with an extra +25% Dodge Chance if there is a Villain Spider-Verse enemy on the field. This combination of effects makes him more elusive and helps the team avoid non-unavoidable and non-undodgeable attacks.
Hulk
Gamma radiation changed everything for Bruce Banner. Once a quiet, brilliant scientist, his life was upended by a laboratory accident that unleashed the Hulk—an unstoppable force born from Banner’s own suppressed rage and trauma. The result is a constant internal battle: Banner’s intellect and desire for peace clashing against the Hulk’s instinct for survival and raw emotion.
The duality of Banner and Hulk has fueled some of the most compelling stories in Marvel history. Banner spends much of his life searching for a cure, desperate to control the force within him and avoid endangering those around him. Yet, time and again, circumstances force him to confront the Hulk’s existence—whether as a fugitive hunted by the military or as an unlikely hero called upon in times of crisis.
Hulk’s strength is legendary, increasing with his anger and at times surpassing even the gods of Asgard or cosmic threats. He’s leveled cities in blind fury, but also saved the world when no one else could. This has made him both a figure of fear and a symbol of hope, depending on who tells the story. Despite the destruction left in his wake, Hulk’s actions often reveal a deep sense of justice and a desire to protect the innocent, even if his methods are misunderstood.
His journey has taken him far beyond the streets of Earth. On the alien planet Sakaar, Hulk became a gladiator and eventually a king, leading the Warbound and challenging the universe’s most powerful forces. He’s faced both external enemies and his own inner demons, from battles with cosmic entities to struggles with alternate Hulk personas like the savage Hulk, the gray Joe Fixit, and the cunning “Professor” Hulk.
Throughout it all, Banner and Hulk’s relationship evolves. They’re not just two sides of the same coin, but reflections of what it means to grapple with trauma, anger, and the longing for acceptance. Hulk is more than just a monster—he’s a survivor, a protector, and a symbol of the complicated nature of strength. His story is one of constant change, but also of resilience, showing that even the most tormented souls can find purpose and, sometimes, peace.
Hulk serves as a Protector, designed to shield his team from the very start of battle. On Spawn, he gains Taunt—when paired with the Amazing Avengers, this Taunt lasts for 2 turns and is accompanied by Immunity for 2 turns. Combined with the standard buffs Amazing Avengers receive on Spawn, such as 2 Evade, 2 Safeguard, and 2 Defense Up, Hulk becomes a highly resilient frontline presence when surrounded by his team.
A key part of Hulk’s kit is his Charged mechanic. He gains a stack of Charged whenever he’s attacked, when his health drops below certain thresholds, or when he uses his Basic ability. He can store up to 5 Charged stacks, each granting him +10% Damage and +10% Armor, for a potential total bonus of 50% to both stats. This allows Hulk to hit harder and withstand more damage the longer he stays in the fight.
Durability is further increased by Hulk’s ability to reduce the duration of negative effects on himself the first time he drops below 50% and 25% Health—effectively acting as an anti-Trauma mechanic, giving him a chance to clear harmful debuffs when he’s most vulnerable.
Offensively, Hulk isn’t just about soaking up damage. He can apply Bleed and Defense Down to enemies, and his Ultimate clears Revive Once from a target while granting it to himself. His Special provides self-healing, clears all negative effects, and gives him Taunt, ensuring he remains the focus of enemy attacks. As mentioned, each use of his Basic grants him a stack of Charged.
Hulk’s speed is on the lower side, which is typical for a Protector, and works to his advantage—he stays on the frontline, taking hits and keeping pressure off his allies. In the Amazing Avengers team, this makes Hulk a reliable and durable tank, capable of soaking up damage, disrupting the enemy, and supporting his team.
When Hulk uses his Basic ability, he attacks the primary target for 350% damage. After the attack, he gains 1 Charged, up to a maximum of 5.
Special costs 3 Ability Energy and can be used on Hulk’s first turn. He attacks the primary target for 400% damage, gains Taunt for 2 turns, clears all negative effects from himself, and heals for 20% of his Max Health. This ability helps him draw enemy attacks, recover from debuffs, and stay in the fight longer.
Ultimate costs 6 Ability Energy and is available on his second turn. If the primary target has Revive Once, Hulk removes that effect from them and gains Revive Once for himself. He then attacks the primary and adjacent targets for 350% Piercing damage, applying 2 Bleed and Defense Down to each. This ability not only deals significant damage but also disrupts enemy survivability and strengthens Hulk’s own staying power.
Hulk’s Passive provides layers of survivability and scaling power. On Spawn, he gains Taunt, and if he starts the battle with 3 Amazing Avenger allies, Taunt and Immunity both last for 2 turns. He also clears all Charged stacks from himself at the beginning of combat.
Each time Hulk is attacked, he gains 1 Charged, up to a maximum of 5. For every Charged stack, he receives an additional 10% Damage and 10% Armor, allowing him to become significantly tougher and hit harder as the fight progresses.
The first time Hulk drops below 50% Health, he reduces the duration of all negative effects on himself by 2, gains Defense Up for 2 turns, and gains 1 Charged. If his health drops below 25% for the first time, he again reduces the duration of all negative effects by 2, gains 2 Deathproof, and gains another Charged. This combination of effects helps him recover from debuffs and stay alive during critical moments, making him a durable and reliable protector for his team.
Combat Tips & Tricks
The Amazing Avenger team is specialized for Raids, which is where their true strength lies. With the announcement of a new Raid coming to Marvel Strike Force soon, this team will likely be highly valuable, making them a smart investment for players. However, outside of Raids, don’t expect too much from them—on their own, their performance drops noticeably. According to the official site, they’re expected to counter other Raid teams in War, and while this should be the case, we see their best use in War as an offensive team designed to take down opposing Raid teams placed on defense. Defensively, they’re less impressive in War, even though they start with strong buffs like Safeguard, Defense Up, and Evade, plus Hulk’s Taunt and Immunity. While this makes them harder to break through, there are still plenty of teams and characters that won’t have much trouble dealing with these buffs, making them a better fit for offense.
This team prevents their opponents from passively increasing their Speed stat throughout the entire battle. Additionally, until Spider-Woman (Julia) takes her first turn, enemies are unable to manipulate Speed Bar—neither their own nor that of the Amazing Avenger team—and cannot gain Charged or Taunt. These mechanics give the Amazing Avengers tools to control the pace of the fight and make them particularly effective against certain teams that rely on Speed manipulation.
A major strength of the Amazing Avenger team is their sustainability, largely thanks to Blade (Mighty). Many of their attacks inflict Bleed, and every time enemies take Bleed damage, Blade (Mighty) heals and Barriers the entire team for 5% of his Max Health. In Raids, they can steamroll through nodes, but keep in mind that this mode is often “simmed”—players just press the SIM button to auto-complete nodes and collect rewards. The key is to level them up enough to easily sim through Raid nodes.
Their value outside Raids drops off for several reasons. First, most of the team members don’t offer strong plug-and-play potential, with the possible exception of Blade (Mighty), though that remains to be seen. Second, the team isn’t particularly fast—average speed is enough for some situations, but not for the most competitive content.
If you want to mix things up, you can swap out a team member for a stronger plug-and-play character to boost performance. In that scenario, Rachel Cole-Alves is the most likely candidate to be removed, as her main contribution is raw damage. Still, she can provide Offense Up to the team and debuff enemies with Offense Down and Defense Down, so the full team can still be effective in War, especially against other Raid or Crucible teams.
In a typical match, Spider-Man plays first, clearing 3 positive effects from up to 5 enemies and applying Defense Down and Slow. Next, Spider-Woman (Julia) takes her turn; depending on the situation, her Special might be better than her Ultimate on turn one. If Spider-Man has already cleared most buffs, her Special can apply Trauma and Blind to all enemies without buffs, while her Ultimate is valuable for controlling a specific threat with Stun. Rachel Cole-Alves follows, using her Special to apply Bleed and Offense Down to the primary and adjacent targets.
Blade (Mighty) is not a fast character—his Speed of 123 is arguably his biggest weakness. Use his Special to reduce the duration of all negative effects for the whole team in Raids, or reduce Disrupted, Defense Down, and Heal Block outside Raids. He provides healing and buffs, applying Immunity and Speed Up to everyone, and synergizes well with all Avenger allies—but as of now, there aren’t any other particularly strong Avengers to maximize this plug-and-play potential. It’s important to note that Amazing Avengers are also Avenger-tagged, so all these buffs apply to them as well.
Finally, Hulk acts last and can use his Special to reapply Taunt if it’s been lost.
Overall, Amazing Avengers are an excellent Raid team, but not much more than that. They’re valuable for every roster, especially if the upcoming Trepidation Raid offers Gear Tier 21 rewards, making them worth investing in. However, outside of Raids, their utility drops (not significantly, but drops), so they’re best kept for their intended purpose.
