Brimstone

VIDEO ADVERTISEMENT

Introduction

The Brimstone is a team designed to dominate in Alliance War. Beyond War, some of the team members can be highly effective in other game modes, such as Cosmic Crucible, especially when paired with other strong plug-and-play characters. This team is composed of three new characters: Daimon Hellstrom, Living Mummy, and Hellcat, with two reworked characters: Strange (Heartless) and Elsa Bloodstone.

The complete team features four Mystic (Daimon Hellstrom, Living Mummy, Strange (Heartless), and Elsa Bloodstone) and one Skill (Hellcat) characters with distinct roles: one Protector (Living Mummy), one Controller (Daimon Hellstrom), one Brawler (Hellcat), and two Blasters (Strange (Heartless) and Elsa Bloodstone). Strange (Heartless) has Villain and Cosmic traits, while the other four are Hero and Global characters.

Utility

  • Alliance War

In War, Brimstone is an outstanding team capable of taking down almost any opponent that stands in their way. They’ll have no trouble taking down older War META teams like Liberty or Absolute A-Force. Even if they run into trouble against powerful characters like Professor Xavier, you can always swap out one of the Brimstone members for a strong plug-and-play character, strengthening the team without losing any of the core bonuses.

Brimstone can also be used as a defensive War team, since their bonuses apply to War in general—not just Offense or Defense specifically. This makes them a tough challenge for anyone to face, especially when paired with another heavy-hitting character.

Brimstone characters carry the Conqueror tag, making them essential for Chapter 2 of the Annihilus Saga—and very likely for Chapter 3 as well. Every player should seriously consider investing in this team, as they’ll be absolutely needed for Invasion Event Blastaar. Even if you’re not focused on War, you’ll need Brimstone for key content in Marvel Strike Force, making them a valuable asset for any roster.

Team Placement & Turn Order

We’ll position Living Mummy in one corner, since he’s a Protector who almost always has Taunt and can shield the rest of the team. Next to him will be Strange (Heartless), with Daimon Hellstrom placed in the center. Next to Daimon, Elsa Bloodstone will be positioned, and Hellcat will be in another corner. This setup maximizes protection and synergy, ensuring the team’s strongest members are well-covered and ready to unleash their full potential.

Turn Order:

  1. Daimon Hellstrom
  2. Hellcat
  3. Strange (Heartless)
  4. Elsa Bloodstone
  5. Living Mummy

Iso-8 Classes

  • Living MummyStriker/Healer
  • Strange (Heartless) Raider
  • Daimon HellstromRaider/Skirmisher
  • Elsa BloodstoneRaider
  • HellcatStriker/Raider

Living Mummy can be a great fit for the Striker Iso-8 class. With his follow-up Iso-8 attack, he grants himself Counterattack and Speed Up (if he has Revive Once), deals Piercing damage, and heals for 15% of his Max Health, making Striker a very valid option for him. Alternatively, you can choose the Healer class to further boost his already strong healing abilities, keeping both himself and his team in top shape throughout the fight.

Strange (Heartless) hits multiple enemies with most of his attacks and, thanks to his passive, dramatically boosts Crit Chance and Crit Damage for himself and the entire Brimstone team. His devastating Ultimate can deal massive damage to all opponents, making him a perfect candidate for the Raider Iso-8 class.

With Strange (Heartless)’s passive amplifying Crit stats across the team, it’s also a highly viable option to make everyone, or at least everyone except Living Mummy, Raiders, unleashing a barrage of critical hits and maximizing the team’s offensive power.

Daimon Hellstrom is the first to act on the Brimstone team, making Raider the best Iso-8 choice for him to maximize his damage potential and apply Vulnerables to enemies when he lands critical hits. This way, an ally with the Striker Iso-8 class, who plays after Daimon, can exploit those Vulnerables for even more impact.

Alternatively, you can give him Skirmisher—especially if he has low Yellow or Red Stars—to ensure all his powerful debuffs land consistently on opponents. This also creates an interesting synergy with Hellcat, since whenever Daimon uses his Basic, he’ll trigger an Assist Now from Hellcat, and vice versa. In certain situations, you can profit from that Striker-Skirmisher combo: it’s often better for Daimon (as the first to act) to take Skirmisher, while Hellcat (who acts after him) takes Striker, allowing her to take full advantage of the Vulnerables he applies to key targets.

Elsa Bloodstone attacks multiple targets with both her Special and Ultimate abilities, and her Basic hits the primary target several times. She can also passively strike enemies whenever they Dodge or when any of her allies miss. Because of all these factors, the smartest choice is to give her the Raider Iso-8 class, maximizing her damage output and taking full advantage of her multi-target attacks.

Hellcat can be an excellent Raider, since her Ultimate hits multiple targets and her Basic applies Ability Block on a crit. Thanks to Strange (Heartless)’s passive, she’ll be critting frequently as a Raider. However, it’s actually better to give her the Striker Iso-8 class, allowing her Iso-8 attacks to apply Ability Block whenever she crits.

Unlike Raider, Striker doesn’t guarantee 100% Crit Chance, but her Crit Chance will still be high enough that she can often land crits with her Iso-8 attack, reliably applying Ability Block to key targets.

Team T4’s

Essential

  • Living Mummy – Passive, Special, and Ultimate
  • Strange (Heartless) – Passive and Special
  • Daimon Hellstrom – Passive, Ultimate, and Special
  • Elsa Bloodstone – Passive
  • Hellcat – Passive and Ultimate

Living Mummy

When we max out his Passive, Living Mummy gains Revive Once on Spawn and passively boosts the entire Brimstone team’s Speed by +7%. Both of these enhancements are crucial for him and the whole Brimstone squad.

With Revive Once, the entire Brimstone team gains extra Damage Reduction and Resistance in War if they don’t have Defense Up. Living Mummy himself becomes immune to Bleed, Ability Block, Stun, Vulnerable, and Regeneration in War, making him incredibly hard to take down and control. Additionally, in all game modes, as long as he has Revive Once, he will automatically gain Taunt at the start of any turn if he doesn’t already have it—constantly protecting his allies.

The Speed boost is a massive benefit for the team. Brimstone is already a fast squad, and with this extra Speed, they become even quicker and more formidable.

A fully maxed Special grants Safeguard to Living Mummy and all Brimstone allies, while also increasing Living Mummy’s damage output. Safeguard is one of the most valuable buffs in the game, preventing your positive effects from being stripped or altered. Any ability upgrade that grants Safeguard is well worth investing in, as it can make a crucial difference in your team’s overall performance.

With maxed Ultimate, Living Mummy deals even more damage—but the real game-changer is that he also gains Revive Once. We already know how important Revive Once is for his performance, and while he receives it on Spawn, a lot can happen before Living Mummy’s second turn (when he can use his Ultimate), and he might lose Revive Once during the fight. Maxing his Ultimate allows him to regain Revive Once mid-battle, letting him maintain all the powerful benefits that come with it and ensuring he remains a resilient protector for the team.

Strange (Heartless)

At Level 5, Strange (Heartless)’s Passive gives a huge boost to the entire Brimstone or Darkhold team, increasing both Crit Chance and Crit Damage by +50% (up from +25%). It also enhances the Barrier he provides to his Brimstone and Darkhold allies on their turn, raising it to 15% of his Max Health (up from 10%). These upgrades are massive and should not be overlooked—maxing out his Passive is absolutely essential to unlock the full power and survivability of your team.

With a maxed Special, Strange (Heartless) will deal more damage and reduce the primary target’s Speed Bar by 25% (up from 10%). In a turn-based game where Speed Stat and Speed Bar are critical factors, every bit of Speed Bar reduction is extremely valuable. This upgrade makes Strange (Heartless) an even greater threat, giving your team more control over the flow of battle and making it a highly recommended investment.

Daimon Hellstrom

When fully maxed, Daimon Hellstrom’s Passive allows him to generate 1 Ability Energy for two Brimstone allies or himself on enemy death (up from just one ally). Extra Ability Energy for more team members is always valuable, helping you cycle powerful abilities faster and keep the pressure on your opponents.

Additionally, in War—if Daimon has three or more Brimstone allies—even enemy Mephisto won’t be able to increase his Speed stat. Without this upgrade, only non-Mephisto enemies are blocked from boosting their Speed, but once maxed, Mephisto is included too. This makes maxing Daimon Hellstrom’s Passive absolutely crucial for War, ensuring Brimstone can control the pace of battle against every threat.

A maxed Ultimate allows Daimon Hellstrom to deal even greater damage, and in War, if no character has taken a turn yet, Daimon has three or more Brimstone allies, and he isn’t Exhausted, he will reduce the duration of all positive effects on all enemies by 2 (an anti-Safeguard mechanic). This ability to cut down enemy positives—even against teams with Safeguard—is incredibly powerful, as it lets you remove buffs from opponents who would otherwise be protected. Investing in this upgrade gives Brimstone a huge advantage in War, making Daimon’s Ultimate a must-max for top-tier performance.

When maxed, Daimon’s Special deals increased damage and clears all Battlefield Effects from the allied side. This makes it a must-have upgrade, as it allows Daimon Hellstrom to remove any enemy Battlefield Effect on his side of the battlefield—like those from Knull, Odin, Red Hulk, or even Franklin (outside of Arena)—as soon as Daimon uses his Special. This level of control can be crucial, keeping Daimon’s team safe from some of the most disruptive abilities in Marvel Strike Force.

Elsa Bloodstone

When we max out Elsa’s Passive, her passive damage increases whenever she or any of her allies miss, or when an enemy Dodges. She also gains +20% Accuracy per Brimstone, Dark Hunter, or Supernatural ally (up from +10%), allowing her to reach a total of +100% Accuracy when teamed up with these allies. In other words, even if enemies apply Blind to her, she still won’t miss her attacks—an incredibly valuable advantage. This upgrade makes Elsa a far more reliable and dangerous damage dealer, ensuring she can punish opponents no matter how hard they try to evade her.

Hellcat

When we max out Hellcat’s Passive, she gains the ability to passively attack enemies in War. Specifically, whenever any enemy uses their Basic attack in War while they are under Ability Block, Hellcat will automatically attack the most injured enemy with her Special.

Her Special deals Piercing damage, ignores Defense Up, cannot be blocked in War, and applies 2 Bleed, Heal Block, Disrupted, and Trauma. Since Daimon Hellstrom typically goes first and applies Ability Block to all enemy Support and Controller characters with his Ultimate, every time those characters are forced to use their Basic, Hellcat will unleash massive damage and crucial debuffs on the most vulnerable enemy.

This synergy makes Hellcat a devastating force in War and highlights the importance of maxing out her Passive for maximum team impact.

With a maxed Ultimate, Hellcat will deal even greater damage and apply Stun to the primary target, significantly boosting her control over the battle. She’ll also apply Trauma (for 2 turns) to both the primary and secondary targets. Stun and Trauma are fantastic additions to Hellcat’s already powerful Ultimate, making it even more formidable—opponents won’t be able to easily cleanse the debuffs she applies while Trauma is active, and Stun on the primary target can be a game-changing advantage in many fights. Upgrading her Ultimate is key to unlocking Hellcat’s full potential.

Recommended

  • Strange (Heartless) – Ultimate
  • Elsa Bloodstone – Ultimate
  • Hellcat – Special

Strange (Heartless)

A maxed Ultimate for Strange (Heartless) provides a pure damage boost—both in base damage and in potential. Not only does it increase the initial damage dealt to enemies, but it also ramps up the extra damage for every positive or negative effect on himself and the primary target. Maxing out this ability is highly recommended, as it unlocks Strange (Heartless)’s potential for his truly massive Ultimate damage to be even bigger, making him a devastating force on the battlefield.

Elsa Bloodstone

Maxing Elsa’s Ultimate unlocks her full damage potential with this ability. Not only does her base damage increase, but the extra damage she deals per Brimstone, Dark Hunter, or Supernatural ally also goes up significantly. For example, when Elsa is in a full Brimstone team, if her Ultimate isn’t maxed, she’ll deal 310% damage to the primary and adjacent targets. Once her Ultimate is maxed, that damage jumps to an impressive 460%. This is a massive boost, making this upgrade essential for anyone looking to maximize Elsa’s power and impact in battle.

Hellcat

A maxed Hellcat’s Special produces higher damage and applies Trauma to the primary target. This means that after Hellcat uses her Special, the enemy she hits will have a much harder time getting rid of the debuffs she applied, thanks to Trauma. It’s a valuable upgrade that can significantly hinder key opponents, making it well worth considering for anyone looking to maximize Hellcat’s control and utility in battle.

Red Stars and Diamonds

Getting 7 Red Stars on the new characters Living Mummy, Daimon Hellstrom, and Hellcat shouldn’t be complicated, as long as you open Elite Red Star Orbs when they are featured there. Strange (Heartless), and Elsa Bloodstone are older characters so plenty of players might have them at high Red Stars already.

You could also get Red Stars for them from the Incursion Campaign:

  • 7 Red Stars for Strange (Heartless) – Incursion 8-3
  • 7 Red Stars for Elsa Bloodstone – Incursion 6-6

When the Living Mummy, Daimon Hellstrom, and Hellcat becomes farmable and free-to-play players are able to collect 7 Yellow/Red Stars for them, we also recommend using Diamonds for them (at least 2 Diamonds for all three, or 3 if you have enough resources). Daimon Hellstrom should be prioritized over the other two. If you have sufficient resources, it is highly recommended to upgrade him to 3 Diamond.

For the two reworked characters, we also recommend a minimum of 2 Diamonds (3 if you have enough resources).

The three new characters should be your priority for the third Diamond before focusing on the two reworked ones. Daimon Hellstrom should take the highest priority, while the other two can be treated with equal importance, but only after him.

Team Mechanics

Brimstone is a lesser-known team from the Marvel universe, often shrouded in mystery and intrigue. While not as prominent as groups like the Avengers or X-Men, Brimstone has carved out its own niche within the Marvel Universe. The team is composed of individuals who possess dark, supernatural abilities, often tied to themes of vengeance, redemption, and the occult.

The origins of Brimstone trace back to a clandestine initiative aimed at combating threats that conventional superhero teams could not handle. Each member of the team has a troubled past, often involving tragic events or moral dilemmas that led them to embrace their darker powers. Despite their grim personas, the members of Brimstone strive to use their abilities for good, albeit through unconventional and sometimes morally ambiguous means.

Brimstone’s missions often involve battling demonic entities, ancient curses, and mystical forces that threaten the fabric of reality. Their adventures are steeped in horror and suspense, making them a unique addition to Marvel’s roster of superhero teams. While they operate in the shadows, their impact on the Marvel Universe is undeniable, often serving as unsung heroes in the fight against supernatural chaos.

Though not as widely recognized as other teams, Brimstone has a loyal following among fans who appreciate its darker tone and complex characters. Their stories explore themes of inner struggle, redemption, and the fine line between heroism and villainy, offering a fresh perspective within the Marvel Universe.

The Brimstone team is set to become a formidable force in Marvel Strike Force, especially in Alliance War battles. Featuring Daimon Hellstrom, Hellcat, Living Mummy, Doctor Strange (Heartless), and Elsa Bloodstone, this squad is designed to excel against powerful opponents. Each member brings unique skills that target specific enemy types, making them highly effective when working together.

Daimon Hellstrom specializes in disrupting Support and Controller characters with Ability Block and preventing Charged effects for Support and Blaster enemies during War. He also heals himself, gains Speed Bar, and provides ability energy to Brimstone allies upon enemy death.

Hellcat focuses on neutralizing Brawlers with Stun and Blasters (even Odin!) using Ability Block, Blind, and Trauma, ensuring that her enemies are left vulnerable.

Living Mummy plays a crucial defensive role by negating Taunt for the entire team while offering drain, speed boosts, and protection to Brimstone allies.

With these abilities combined, the Brimstone team is poised to dominate Alliance War battles and strike fear into their opponents. Prepare your strategy and assemble this chilling squad to haunt helicarriers and claim victory!

Living Mummy

The Living Mummy is a character who blends elements of horror, mysticism, and superhero storytelling. His real name is N’Kantu, a warrior prince from ancient Egypt who was betrayed and cursed to an eternal existence wrapped in bandages. His story begins thousands of years ago when he led his people in a rebellion against oppressive rulers. However, after his victory, N’Kantu was captured by a high priest who embalmed him alive and cursed him to remain immortal, trapped in a mummified state.

Over the centuries, N’Kantu’s body was discovered and reawakened multiple times, often finding himself caught between his ancient rage and the modern world. Despite his terrifying appearance and tragic backstory, N’Kantu is not inherently evil. He struggles with his curse and seeks redemption while navigating his new reality.

One of the most intriguing chapters in his story is his involvement with the Brimstone team. This group, formed during Marvel’s exploration of supernatural and horror-themed heroes, brought together misfit characters who faced dark and mystical threats. As a member of this team, the Living Mummy found a sense of purpose, using his immense strength and centuries of wisdom to combat supernatural forces.

The Brimstone team allowed N’Kantu to forge connections with other outcasts, such as Satana and Manphibian, who shared similar struggles with their monstrous identities. Together, they worked to protect humanity from threats that conventional heroes couldn’t handle. For N’Kantu, being part of this team was not just about fighting evil—it was also about finding camaraderie and acceptance in a world where he often felt alienated.

The Living Mummy remains a unique and compelling figure, embodying themes of tragedy, redemption, and the eternal battle between good and evil. His role in the Brimstone team highlights his ability to rise above his curse and contribute to a greater cause, proving that even those burdened by darkness can become heroes.

Living Mummy is a versatile ally for the Brimstone team, offering a unique combination of abilities to enhance their performance. On any turn, he gains Taunt, Safeguard, and self-healing if he possesses Revive Once and lacks Taunt. This ensures his durability and ability to protect allies effectively. Additionally, Living Mummy accelerates victory by boosting his Brimstone allies with Drain and increased Speed, making them more formidable in battle. His presence not only fends off the curse of Taunt for the entire team but also provides essential support through protection, healing, and enhanced combat capabilities.

The Living Mummy Basic allows him to attack a primary target for 250% damage. Additionally, when performing an ISO-8 attack, Counterattack, or Assist, the damage dealt becomes Piercing. If Living Mummy possesses the Revive Once ability, he gains Counterattack and Speed Up and heals for 15% of his maximum health.

The Living Mummy’s Special requires 5 Ability Energy, and he can use it on the first turn. It deals 400% damage to primary and adjacent targets. Living Mummy gains 3 Counterattack and 3 Evade, clears 5 negative effects from both himself and all Brimstone allies, applies Defense Up and Safeguard to himself and all Brimstone allies, and heals them for 20% of his Max Health. This is an excellent supportive ability that removes debuffs from the entire Brimstone team and heals the whole team.

Ultimate costs 7 Ability Energy and becomes available on Living Mummy’s second turn. It deals 600% damage to the primary target and adjacent enemies, provides 3 stacks of Evade, and grants a Revive Once to him. Additionally, it applies Speed Up to himself and all Brimstone allies, while healing them for 15% of Living Mummy’s Max Health.

Like the Special, this is a buff-based ability that simultaneously heals and buffs the entire Brimstone team. However, it is important to note that with his Ultimate, Living Mummy gains the Revive Once effect, which is crucial for him and the entire Brimstone team. When he spawns, he gains Revive Once, but if it is lost due to death or an enemy’s passive action, this is an alternative method for him to recover it.

Passive provides significant benefits upon spawning, during turns, and upon revival. When the Living Mummy spawns, he gains 2 Counterattack and Revive Once. During any turn, if the character has Revive Once and lacks Taunt, he automatically gains Taunt and Safeguard while healing himself for 15% of his maximum health.

Upon revival, Living Mummy clears 3 negative effects from himself and all Brimstone allies. Additionally, he revives with an extra 25% of his maximum health for each Brimstone ally present (full health if the entire team is there). In War, Brimstone allies are prevented from gaining Taunt, making him the only character available to get it, thus the only protector.

While in War, and possessing Revive Once, Living Mummy, and Brimstone allies gain unique protections. If either lacks Defense Up, they receive a +25% Damage Reduction and +25% Resistance. Furthermore, Living Mummy becomes immune to Bleed, Ability Block, Stun, Vulnerable, and Regeneration in War.

The importance of Living Mummy having Revive Once is clearly highlighted here, as it transforms him into an exceptional protector capable of safeguarding the entire Brimstone team (especially in War).

The Passive also grants a +25% Drain to himself and Brimstone allies, along with a 7% Speed boost for Brimstone allies. It enhances their sustain and already high speed even further.

Strange (Heartless)

Strange (Heartless) is a fascinating character from the Marvel Universe, known for his enigmatic presence and dark, supernatural abilities. Unlike the traditional Doctor Strange, who is widely recognized as the Sorcerer Supreme and a protector of mystical realms, Strange (Heartless) represents a much darker and more ruthless iteration of the character. He is often depicted as someone who has abandoned his moral compass, embracing forbidden magic and sacrificing his humanity in pursuit of ultimate power.

Strange (Heartless) operates in shadows, wielding arcane forces that blur the lines between hero and villain. His actions are often driven by cold pragmatism, making him a divisive figure among those who encounter him. While his abilities are undeniably formidable, his lack of empathy and willingness to make morally questionable decisions set him apart from other sorcerers in the Marvel Universe.

One notable chapter in Strange (Heartless)’s story is his involvement with the Brimstone team. This group is composed of individuals who share a connection to dark magic and supernatural forces, often banding together to confront threats that require their unique expertise. As a member of Brimstone, Strange (Heartless) plays a pivotal role, utilizing his mastery of forbidden spells and unyielding determination to face challenges that others would shy away from. His presence within the team adds a layer of unpredictability and tension, as his methods often clash with those of his teammates.

Despite his heartless persona, Strange (Heartless) remains an intriguing and complex character, embodying the darker side of mysticism in Marvel’s expansive universe. His story serves as a reminder that power can come at a great cost, and the choices one makes can define their legacy, for better or worse.

Doctor Strange (Heartless) is a Blaster capable of dealing devastating damage to all opponents—sometimes even wiping out the entire enemy team, depending on the circumstances. He has a degree of self-sustain, allowing him to passively heal and apply Barrier to himself as well as to all Darkhold and Brimstone allies.

In addition, he passively boosts Crit Chance and Crit Damage for himself and those same allies. Strange (Heartless) is a dangerous damage dealer who, beyond delivering enormous damage, can also reduce Speed Bar, copy and clear positive effects, and apply Slow to his enemies. This combination of power and utility makes him a true threat on the battlefield.

Strange (Heartless) strikes the primary target and adjacent enemies for 280% Piercing damage, while also flipping two positive effects on each target into negative effects with his Basic. Even better, this attack cannot be blocked, ensuring his impact is always felt.

With Iso-8 / Counter Attack / Assist, Strange (Heartless) targets a single enemy for 210% Piercing damage and still flips two positive effects to negative effects.

Special ability costs just 3 Ability Energy and is ready to use right from his first turn. Strange (Heartless) copies and clears 2 positive effects from the primary target (excluding Taunt), then hits for 400% damage, applies Slow for 2 turns, and reduces the target’s Speed Bar by 25%.

If he’s Charged, Strange (Heartless) goes even further—copying and clearing all positive effects from the target (except Taunt). With a massive +500% Extra Focus for this attack, it’s almost guaranteed to land, making it extremely reliable for stripping buffs and slowing down key enemies. The short cooldown means you can count on this powerful Special to be used frequently during the battles.

Ultimate costs 7 Ability Energy and can be used on his third turn. Strange (Heartless) gains 3 Charged, then attacks all enemies for 300% damage—plus an extra 50% damage for every positive and negative effect on himself and the primary target.

This attack is unavoidable, so there’s no escaping the impact. Depending on how many buffs and debuffs are stacked on Strange (Heartless) and his main target, this Ultimate can range from solid damage to absolutely massive devastation, making it a true game-changer when used in the right moment on the right target.

Passive keeps Strange (Heartless) and his team in the fight with powerful support and self-sustain. At the start of his turn, if he’s Charged, he heals himself for 20% of his Max Health and loses 1 Charged.

Whenever a Brimstone or Darkhold ally takes a turn, Strange (Heartless) barriers that character for 15% of his own Max Health. If he’s Charged, he goes even further and puts a barrier on all Brimstone and Darkhold allies for the same amount.

Whenever an enemy is defeated, Strange (Heartless) gains Offense Up—if he already has Offense Up, he also gains Speed Up, making him even more dangerous as fights progress.

On top of that, he and all Brimstone or Darkhold allies gain a massive +50% to both Crit Chance and Crit Damage, turning the whole team into a critical hit powerhouse.

Like some other characters in this game, Strange (Heartless) features a Charged mechanic. He gains 3 Charged whenever he uses his Ultimate, and spends 1 Charged at the start of each of his turns to heal himself for 20% of his Max Health.

Having Charged makes his Special ability even more powerful, allowing him to copy and clear all positive effects (except Taunt) from the primary target instead of just two. Additionally, when he’s Charged, his passive Barrier effect extends to the entire team, not just a single ally. Basically, after he gains Charged, his full potential in battle is unlocked.

Daimon Hellstrom

Daimon Hellstrom, also known as the Son of Satan, is a complex and intriguing character. Daimon is the son of Satan himself and a mortal woman, Victoria Wingate. His dual heritage sets the stage for his eternal struggle between good and evil, as he battles his darker instincts while striving to use his powers for noble purposes. Wielding a mystical trident and commanding hellfire, Daimon is a formidable sorcerer and demonologist, capable of exorcisms and summoning demonic entities.

Hellstrom’s character is often portrayed as brooding and morally ambiguous, walking the fine line between heroism and his dark lineage. Despite his demonic heritage, he has frequently fought against the forces of Hell and other supernatural threats, becoming an unlikely ally to various Marvel heroes. His adventures often delve into themes of redemption, identity, and the eternal conflict between light and darkness.

He was part of the Brimstone team, a secretive unit created to confront supernatural dangers that were beyond the capabilities of regular heroes. As a member of this team, Daimon brought his vast knowledge of the occult and his hellish powers to bear against otherworldly dangers. The team’s missions often tested Daimon’s resolve and forced him to confront his own inner demons while working alongside other powerful individuals. His contributions to Brimstone highlighted his ability to work as part of a team despite his lone wolf tendencies and further cemented his role as a protector against dark forces.

Daimon Hellstrom remains one of Marvel’s most enigmatic characters, blending horror elements with superhero narratives. His journey is one of constant self-discovery and struggle, making him a compelling figure in the Marvel Universe and a fascinating subject for fans of supernatural storytelling.

Daimon Hellstrom is a powerful Controller character known for his high-damage attacks and strategic abilities. He excels at disrupting enemies by applying Ability Block and removing key advantages like Revive Once, Barrier, and Battlefield Effects. In War, he targets Support and Controller characters with Ability Block and prevents Charged from being applied to Support and Blaster enemies. Additionally, when an enemy is defeated, Daimon heals himself, gains speed bar, and provides ability energy to his Brimstone Allies who are not fully charged, ensuring they stay effective in combat.

Basic attack hits the primary target for 200% Piercing damage, then chains to one adjacent enemy for another 200% Piercing. Daimon Hellstrom also gains Offense Up and calls in a random Hellcat ally to immediately assist, keeping the pressure on the enemy team by adding extra damage to the primary target.

Daimon Hellstrom’s Special costs 5 Ability Energy and is ready to use on his second turn. He clears Barrier from all enemies, then attacks every enemy for 300% Piercing damage plus an extra 10% of each target’s Max Health. A 10% of Max Health from each target is massive and can significantly influence the outcome of the battle. To top it off, he wipes out all Battlefield Effects on your side, giving Brimstone a clean slate of any nasty battlefield effect provided by enemies that they have on their side and turning the tide of battle in their favor.

Ultimate is a true game-changer, costing 8 Ability Energy and ready to use on his very first turn. Daimon Hellstrom starts by flipping Offense Down on himself, then unleashes a massive attack, dealing 400% Piercing damage to all enemies. If he manages to KO an opponent, the attack repeats—potentially wiping out entire teams in a single move.

In War, this ability becomes even more powerful:

  • If no character has taken a turn yet, Daimon Hellstrom has three Brimstone allies, and he doesn’t have Exhausted, he reduces the duration of all positive effects on all enemies by 2.
  • He clears Revive Once from every enemy, shutting down resurrection strategies.
  • He applies Ability Block to all enemy Support and Controller characters, and this attack gains a staggering 1,000% Extra Focus against them—making it nearly impossible to resist.
  • All enemies receive Disrupted and Trauma, further crippling their ability to recover or cleanse debuffs.

This Ultimate ignores Defense Up, and in War, it cannot be counterattacked, dodged, or blocked. Daimon Hellstrom’s opening move sets the tone for the entire battle, putting Brimstone in control from the very first moment and making him one of the most impactful openers in the game.

Passive is packed with powerful utility and momentum-shifting effects. Whenever an enemy is defeated, Daimon Hellstrom heals himself for 25% of his Max Health, fills his Speed Bar by 25%, and generates 1 Ability Energy for two Brimstone allies (or himself) who weren’t at full energy at the start of the turn. This keeps the Brimstone team fighting at full strength and ready to unleash their abilities.

In War, with three or more Brimstone allies, his passive becomes even more oppressive for the enemy:

  • Support and Blaster enemies cannot gain Charged, shutting down many key threat mechanics. For Example, Odin is Blaster, so he will not be able to gain Charges.
  • Enemies can’t have their Speed increased, except through positive effects or Rage, locking down speedy opponents.
  • Enemy Resistance can’t be increased except via positive effects, making it easier for Brimstone to land crucial debuffs.
  • Daimon Hellstrom’s Focus and Damage can only be reduced by Offense Down, ensuring his attacks and debuffs remain consistently strong. This negates Cosmic Ghost Rider’s Passive, meaning Daimon Hellstrom will not be affected by the reduced Focus and Damage that Cosmic Ghost Rider passively applies to all opponents who act before him or any of his allies. Unfortunately, this negation applies only to Daimon Hellstrom and does not extend to his allies.

This passive not only keeps Daimon Hellstrom dangerous and durable, but also limits enemy options, making Brimstone a nightmare to face in War.

Elsa Bloodstone

Elsa Bloodstone is a fierce and resourceful monster hunter in the Marvel Universe, known for her sharp wit, combat skills, and unyielding determination. As the daughter of the legendary monster hunter Ulysses Bloodstone, Elsa was thrust into a life of danger and adventure from an early age. While she has been a solo operative for much of her career, her role as a member of the Brimstone team highlights her ability to work within a group while still maintaining her signature independence.

The Brimstone team, a covert group tasked with handling supernatural threats, is a fitting setting for Elsa’s talents. Composed of individuals with unique skills and backgrounds, the team operates in the shadows to confront monstrous entities and dark forces that threaten humanity. Elsa’s expertise in tracking, fighting, and eliminating supernatural creatures makes her an invaluable asset to the group. Her Bloodstone Choker, a mystical artifact inherited from her father, grants her enhanced strength, durability, and regenerative abilities, further solidifying her position as a powerhouse within the team.

She often takes a leadership role in missions, leveraging her extensive knowledge of monsters and their weaknesses to guide the team toward success. Despite her sometimes abrasive personality and sarcastic humor, Elsa’s commitment to protecting humanity is unwavering, earning her the respect of her teammates.

Her complex relationship with her father’s legacy and the weight of carrying on his mission often surfaces in her interactions with teammates. However, these moments of vulnerability only serve to deepen her character, highlighting her resilience and determination to forge her own path.

In summary, Elsa Bloodstone highlights her adaptability and strength as a monster hunter. Whether battling ancient demons or navigating the complexities of teamwork, Elsa remains an imposing force in Marvel’s supernatural realm.

Elsa Bloodstone is a Blaster who can deal massive damage both actively and passively. Whenever an enemy dodges, she automatically retaliates with an attack. If she or any of her allies misses their attacks, Elsa strikes the target with Piercing damage. Thanks to her increased Accuracy, Blind effects have little impact on her, so she almost always lands her hits. As a pure damage dealer, Elsa can remove Deathproof from her targets before striking them with her Ultimate in War, making her a relentless threat on the battlefield.

Elsa Bloodstone’s Basic attack strikes the primary target for 75% Piercing damage, then follows up with five bonus attacks, each dealing an additional 75% Piercing. A straightforward attack with no buffs or debuffs—just pure, relentless damage.

When acting through Iso-8 / Counter Attack / Assist, Elsa hits the primary target for 210% damage plus an extra 37% Piercing.

Special costs 5 Ability Energy and becomes available on Elsa’s third turn. She strikes the primary target for 320% damage, then hunts down the most injured enemy—ignoring both Taunt and Stealth—to deal a devastating 370% damage. This makes her Special really impactful when it comes to finishing off most injured opponents.

Elsa Bloodstone’s Ultimate costs 6 Ability Energy and can be unleashed right from her first turn. She gains Offense Up for 2 turns, then attacks the primary and adjacent targets for 280% damage—plus an extra 45% damage for each Brimstone, Dark Hunter, or Supernatural ally on her team. Any enemies defeated by this attack cannot be revived.

In War, her Ultimate is even more deadly: it clears all Deathproof from targets before striking and cannot be blocked, making Elsa a true hard-hitting factor on the battlefield.

Passive makes Elsa a constant threat on the battlefield. Whenever she or an ally misses—and she’s teamed with at least three Brimstone, Dark Hunter, or Supernatural allies—Elsa immediately strikes that target for 270% Piercing damage. If an enemy dodges, she retaliates with another 270% Piercing attack.

She also gains +20% Accuracy for each Brimstone, Dark Hunter, or Supernatural ally, making it nearly impossible for her to miss. Even if enemies manage to avoid the initial attacks from the Brimstone team, Elsa is ready to punish them with relentless follow-up damage.

Elsa Bloodstone gains +10% Crit Chance herself and grants all Mystic allies an additional +10% Crit Chance. In the Brimstone team, Elsa will increase the Crit Chance for all allies by 10%, except for Hellcat.

Hellcat

Hellcat, also known as Patsy Walker, is a superhero with a rich and fascinating history. She initially appeared as the star of a teen romance, but her character was later reimagined and integrated into the Marvel superhero universe, where she became Hellcat.

Patsy Walker grew up in Centerville, where her life was chronicled in lighthearted stories about high school drama, friendships, and romance. However, her journey took a dramatic turn when she became involved with the Avengers and the Defenders. Patsy discovered her latent potential as a superhero and adopted the Hellcat identity after encountering the costume of Greer Nelson (formerly known as Tigra).

As Hellcat, Patsy possesses enhanced agility, reflexes, and athleticism, as well as retractable claws and a “psychic sense” that allows her to detect mystical phenomena. She is skilled in hand-to-hand combat and has a strong willpower that makes her a formidable fighter. Over time, she has also developed abilities to resist mental manipulation and has occasionally dabbled in mystical arts.

Hellcat’s story is deeply tied to themes of resilience and self-discovery. She has faced numerous challenges, including struggles with mental health and navigating complex relationships. Despite these obstacles, Patsy remains a determined and optimistic hero who uses her abilities to help others and fight against evil.

Throughout her adventures, Hellcat has been a member of teams like the Brimstone, Defenders, and worked alongside iconic Marvel characters such as Doctor Strange, Valkyrie, and Hulk. Her character has also been explored in solo series that delve into her personal life and inner struggles.

As part of the Brimstone team, Hellcat often finds herself navigating morally complex situations. Her strong sense of justice and empathy help guide her decisions, even when the lines between good and evil blur. Her interactions with other team members demonstrate her ability to form meaningful connections while maintaining her independence as a hero.

In the Marvel universe, Hellcat’s role in the Brimstone team solidifies her status as a dynamic and compelling character. Her adventures with the group not only expand her narrative but also emphasize her importance in combating dark forces that threaten humanity. Whether battling demons or uncovering hidden truths, Hellcat’s presence in the Brimstone team is a testament to her courage and unwavering commitment to protecting the world.

Hellcat is celebrated for her resilience, charm, and ability to balance her heroic duties with her personal challenges. She stands as an inspiring figure in the Marvel universe, proving that even amidst adversity, one can rise to become a hero.

Hellcat utilizes her powerful claws to deliver attacks filled with negative effects such as Ability Block and Stun. When teamed up with her full Brimstone crew, she effectively shuts down enemies by preventing them from gaining Deathproof, Speed Up, or Assist Now. Her specialized abilities allow her to target Brawlers with Stun and take on Blasters, including Odin, by inflicting Ability Block, Blind, and Trauma.

Hellcat’s Basic ability deals 180% Piercing damage to the primary target. If the attack results in a critical hit, it applies Ability Block to the target. Additionally, Hellcat triggers an Assist Now from a random Daimon Hellstrom ally.

Her Iso-8 / Counter Attack / Assist involves attacking the primary target with 135% Piercing damage. Additionally, if the attack results in a critical hit, it applies Ability Block to the target, the same as with her Basic.

Special costs 4 Ability Energy and can be activated on her first turn. It attacks the primary target, dealing 250% Piercing damage while inflicting 2 Bleed effects, Heal Block, Disrupted, and Trauma. Notably, this attack bypasses Defense Up. Additionally, in WAR, the attack cannot be blocked, making it even more effective. This is a more than solid way to prevent one of the opponents from buffing and healing.

Hellcat’s Ultimate ability is a powerful attack that costs 10 Ability Energy and becomes available on her third turn. It clears 2 negative effects from herself and delivers a devastating strike to the primary target, dealing 400% Piercing damage. Additionally, it applies Stun for 1 turn and inflicts 2 Bleed, Heal Block, Disrupted, and Trauma for 2 turns. The attack chains to up to 4 additional targets, regardless of distance, dealing the same 400% Piercing damage and applying the same debuffs for 2 turns (except Stun).

In War, Hellcat gains special bonuses when teamed with 3 Brimstone allies:

– If any secondary target is a Brawler, Stun is applied to that character.
– If any target is a Blaster without Trauma, Ability Block and Blind are applied to that character for 2 turns.

This attack cannot be counterattacked or blocked, making it an exceptionally reliable and impactful ability in combat.

In War, this attack can counter Odin effectively since he is a Blaster immune to Trauma. Hellcat can apply Bleed and Ability Block to him, both lasting for 2 turns. Additionally, dangerous Brawlers like Invisible Woman (MCU), Thanos (Endgame), Blade, and others can be stunned with this ability. Keep in mind that Quasar is categorized as a Brawler too.

Although it might initially seem that using this ability is too late since it can only be activated in the third turn, Hellcat’s Passive allows her to use the Ultimate during her first turn, if she has 3 Brimstone allies (as explained below).

Hellcat’s Passive makes her one of the crucial members of the Brimstone team, especially in War scenarios. On spawn, if she has three Brimstone allies, she gains 2 Ultimate Ability Energy (in any game mode), enabling her to potentially use her Ultimate on her first turn when paired with the Brimstone team.

In War, her Passive becomes even more impactful. When an enemy uses their Basic Ability and has Ability Block, Hellcat attacks the most injured enemy with her Special ability, Catastrophic Cuts, ignoring Taunt and Stealth. Additionally, if Hellcat has three Brimstone allies, she prevents enemies from manipulating Speed Bars—neither filling nor reducing them for themselves, their allies, or opponents. Furthermore, enemies are unable to gain Deathproof, Speed Up, or Assist Now.

These abilities significantly disrupt opponents’ strategies, especially those relying on Speed Bar manipulation and assists, making Hellcat an essential asset to the Brimstone team in War battles. Her utility strengthens the team’s dominance and ensures a powerful presence in combat.

Combat Tips & Tricks

The Brimstone team is an absolute powerhouse in War, thanks to their mechanics that can shut down nearly every enemy combination. With Hellcat on the squad, opponents can’t fill their own or reduce the Brimstone characters’ Speed Bar, and Daimon Hellstrom’s Passive ensures enemy teams can’t passively boost their own Speed Stat. Hellcat also blocks enemies from assisting each other or gaining Deathproof and Speed Up, keeping the enemy’s turn frequency to an absolute minimum.

Even if opponents manage to get a move in, Brimstone boasts strong mitigation and damage reduction, with Living Mummy serving as a steadfast protector—almost always taunting and immune to many debuffs. On top of that, the team can counter enemy Brawlers, Blasters, Controllers, and Supports by applying powerful debuffs.

Brimstone can successfully strip Revive Once from enemies, reduce the duration of positive effects (offering a strong anti-Safeguard mechanic), and, thanks to Daimon Hellstrom’s Ultimate – who nearly always takes the first turn and is immune to damage and focus reduction – Brimstone can guarantee a dominating start to every battle.

Despite all their strengths, Brimstone characters aren’t immune to having their Speed stat reduced—Emma Frost’s passive, for example, can lower their Speed by 10%. However, you can pair Brimstone with characters like Apocalypse or Nightcrawler to prevent this, allowing the team to reach their full speed potential. Add in Living Mummy’s passive boost of 7% Speed for all team members, and you’ve got an incredibly fast and overwhelmingly powerful War team.

Strange (Heartless) and Elsa Bloodstone are fantastic additions, bringing massive active and passive damage along with extra mitigation, rounding out Brimstone as a truly top-tier squad.

Daimon Hellstrom always goes first in the Brimstone team, and you should open with his Ultimate. In War, this ability reduces the duration of enemy buffs, strips Revive Once from all opponents (if they have it), deals massive damage across the board, and applies Trauma and Disrupted. Most importantly, it applies Ability Block to all enemy Support and Controller characters.

Next up is Hellcat. Her Ultimate applies Stun, Trauma, Heal Block, Disrupted, and 2 Bleed to the primary target, then chains to four secondary targets, hitting them with all the same debuffs except Stun. However, if any of those secondary targets are Brawlers, Hellcat will Stun them too. If she targets a Blaster who isn’t protected by Trauma, like Odin, who is immune to Trauma, Hellcat applies Ability Block and Blind (both for 2 turns). This means enemy Odin won’t be able to use his Special to flip debuffs. Even if Odin somehow avoids the Ability Block, he won’t be able to flip anything from his allies or heal them, as they’ll be affected by Trauma, Disrupted, and Heal Block.

Thanks to Daimon Hellstrom’s passive, enemy Support and Blaster characters can’t gain Charged, so Odin (as a Blaster) won’t be able to apply Charged to himself. He’ll be forced to use his Basic, which will miss because of Blind, and despite applying his Battlefield Effect to our side, his passive attacks will also miss due to Blind. Odin will eventually remove Blind from himself with his passive Basic attacks, but even missing once or twice is enough to ensure our team remains safe. Additionally, thanks to Heal Block, he won’t be able to recover his health. Daimon Hellstrom will get another turn quickly, using his Special to remove Odin’s Battlefield Effect from the Brimstone team.

This powerful opening combo ensures Brimstone shuts down enemy strategies and dominates from the very first moves.

Strange (Heartless) and Elsa Bloodstone will play after Hellcat, dealing significant damage to opponents. Strange (Heartless) can also apply Slow, copy and clear two positive effects, and reduce the Speed Bar of one of the enemies.

Living Mummy, who plays last, will clear 5 negative effects from himself and all allies, heal the entire team, and apply both Safeguard and Defense Up to everyone. On top of that, he deals significant damage to multiple enemies.

From these opening moves alone, it’s clear that Brimstone is going to be an absolute powerhouse in Alliance War. Against Liberty, only Living Mummy can have Taunt, which massively reduces the offensive potential of Liberty characters and makes them almost useless when facing Brimstone. Versus Absolute A-Force, Medusa will be Stunned, Kahhori and Ms. Marvel (Classic) will be Ability Blocked, and Ms. Marvel (Classic) won’t be able to gain Charged—meaning Absolute A-Force is practically defeated before the battle even begins. Fantastic Four (MCU) also stands little chance, as they can’t passively boost their Speed at the start, letting Daimon Hellstrom strip most of their buffs and Ability Block Franklin with his Ultimate, while Hellcat can Stun Mister Fantastic (MCU) and, after chaining to secondary targets, Stun both The Thing and Invisible Woman (MCU).

Old Man Logan, one of the strongest War characters, will be hit with Ability Block from Daimon Hellstrom right at the start, leaving him with little to do. Even Professor Xavier isn’t safe—if he’s not with the perfect team, Daimon Hellstrom can apply Ability Block to him, and Hellcat can follow up with a Stun.

Overall, Brimstone is a top-tier team that, while significantly weaker outside of War, still boasts two members, Daimon Hellstrom and Hellcat, whose incredible speed will make them valuable plug-and-play characters in Crucible, and potentially even in Arena.
