Fantastic Four (MCU)

VIDEO ADVERTISEMENT

Introduction

The Fantastic Four (MCU) team is anticipated to be one of the strongest, if not the strongest, teams in the game, particularly due to their specialization in Arena game mode. Historically, teams designed for Arena have consistently dominated the game. This team consists of two reworked characters and three new ones. Beyond their prowess in Arena, their abilities suggest they will excel in other game modes as well.

One unique feature of this team is the introduction of a new debuff called “Silence,” along with a new Battlefield Effect, adding strategic depth to their gameplay. The team comprises five Bio characters, including one Protector, one Controller, one Blaster, and two Brawlers. All five characters are classified as Hero and Cosmic, further enhancing their versatility and synergy across various modes.

Utility

  • Arena

The Fantastic Four (MCU) is a team designed to excel in the Arena, primarily due to Franklin Richards and his Battlefield Effect called “Future Foundation.” This effect provides additional advantages in the Arena. He can also increase the Speed stat of all allies at the beginning of the fight, provided he has at least two Fantastic Four (MCU) allies on his team. Consequently, the team doesn’t suffer a disadvantage even if the strongest three members – Franklin Richards, the Invisible Woman (MCU), and Mister Fantastic (MCU) – are paired with two other powerful plug-and-play characters. Their abilities allow them to perform effectively without relying on the presence of a full team, which sets them apart from most teams that require collaborative efforts to achieve success.

Moreover, all of their buffs can be applied to the entire team, regardless of whether the allies are part of the Fantastic Four (MCU) or they are not. Aside from Franklin, the rest of the team has minimal additional bonuses specific to the Arena, with the exception of Invisible Woman’s special ability. However, they don’t necessarily need these bonuses, as they already have great kits for every game mode, and they effectively synergize with strong characters like Professor Xavier, Mephisto, Odin, Quasar, and others.

Team Placement & Turn Order

Franklin Richards is positioned in one corner, with the Human Torch placed beside him. In the center, The Thing takes his spot. Next to The Thing, we position Invisible Woman (MCU), and in the opposite corner, Mister Fantastic (MCU) is placed. As a protector, Mister Fantastic (MCU) is strategically placed in the corner to shield his team effectively. Meanwhile, Invisible Woman (MCU) benefits from her Stealth ability, making her placement next to the protector advantageous for disrupting certain opposing chain attacks.

Turn Order:

  1. Invisible Woman (MCU)
  2. Franklin Richards
  3. Human Torch
  4. Mister Fantastic (MCU)
  5. The Thing

The turn order of the Fantastic Four (MCU) team depends on the mechanics and circumstances of the battle. Under normal conditions, Franklin Richards gives a +50% Speed stat to all team members until he takes a turn. This allows Invisible Woman (MCU) to act before him, even though she is slightly slower initially. After her turn, Franklin gains a +50% Speed stat and plays immediately after her (he can’t get an increased Speed stat until an ally or enemy takes a turn – that’s how this mechanic works in the game). Once Franklin takes his turn, the Speed bonus for the team disappears. Following them, the Human Torch plays, then Mister Fantastic (MCU), and finally The Thing, as the slowest team member.

However, if the team faces opponents that disable Speed Stat increase, Franklin will play first, followed by Invisible Woman (MCU), and then the rest of the team in their usual order.

In War, The Thing gains a +75% Speed Bar and plays first, followed by Franklin Richards, Invisible Woman (MCU), Human Torch, and Mister Fantastic (MCU). If the War opponent prevents Speed Bar increases, Invisible Woman (MCU) will play first, and The Thing will act last.

Iso-8 Classes

  • Franklin Richards Striker
  • Human Torch – Skirmisher
  • The Thing – Raider
  • Invisible Woman (MCU) – Raider
  • Mister Fantastic (MCU) – Fortifier

Franklin Richards works exceptionally well as the Striker Iso-8 class. This allows him to convert 3 of his own negative effects into positive ones and simultaneously turn 3 positive effects on his target into negative ones with his Iso-8 attack. It’s a powerful way to both cleanse himself of debuffs and disrupt opponents by flipping their buffs into harmful conditions.

The Human Torch benefits greatly from being assigned the Skirmisher Iso-8 class. This choice enhances his synergy with his Fantastic Four (MCU) allies, because he always assists them, as it grants him an additional +25% Damage when assisting. Furthermore, when he assists Strikers on the team enables a highly effective Striker-Skirmisher combo, maximizing his impact in battles.

The Thing is versatile and can be assigned any Iso-8 class, but opting for the Raider Iso-8 class is particularly beneficial. This choice enhances his critical hit chance, which synergizes well with his Special ability that strikes an opponent five times, ultimately boosting his overall damage output.

Invisible Woman (MCU) is most effectively utilized as the Raider Iso-8 class. She attacks multiple targets with her abilities. While in the Stealth, she always lands critical hits and has increased Critical Damage. Additionally, she passively attacks opponents when any member of the Fantastic Four uses a Special or Ultimate ability. Therefore, aligning her with the Raider Iso-8 class additionally amplifies her strengths.

Fortifier is indeed the optimal Iso-8 class for Mister Fantastic (MCU). This choice enhances his ability to generate and reinforce Barriers for the entire team, significantly boosting their overall defense. Additionally, it further amplifies his already impressive sustainability and damage mitigation capabilities. By selecting the Fortifier Iso-8 class, you ensure Mister Fantastic becomes exceptionally durable, maximizing his effectiveness in battles.

Team T4’s

Essential

  • Franklin Richards – Passive, Special, Ultimate, and Basic
  • Human Torch – Passive
  • The Thing – Passive and Ultimate
  • Invisible Woman (MCU) – Passive and Special
  • Mister Fantastic (MCU) – Passive, Special, and Ultimate

Franklin Richards

Maximizing Franklin’s Passive ability will give him a +5% Speed boost until he completes his first turn, and Fantastic Four allies receive the same benefit. If there are two or more Fantastic Four (MCU) allies in play, Franklin will grant an additional +45% Speed to himself and all Fantastic Four allies, resulting in a total Speed increase of +50%. In the Arena, with two or more Fantastic Four (MCU) allies, all other allies will gain an extra +50% Speed. This upgrade significantly enhances the speed of the entire Fantastic Four (MCU) team or the Arena team at the start of the fight, providing them a considerable advantage over opponents.

Franklin’s Special on Max level allows him to reduce the duration of Safeguard by 2 turns on both primary and secondary targets if he has two or more Fantastic Four (MCU) allies. Additionally, he will deal increased damage. This is an outstanding upgrade because Franklin can copy and flip all positive effects on the primary and adjacent targets, after using his Special. So after the upgrade, even if the targets have Safeguard, which protects them from striping or flipping of buffs, he will remove it and then copy and flip all positive effects present on them without any issue.

When upgraded to its maximum level, Franklin’s Ultimate will deal increased damage and, more importantly, clear all Charged effects from all enemies. This is an excellent enhancement, as it removes Charged from opponents, making them much weaker since characters that rely on Charged mechanics become significantly stronger while they possess Charged effects.

At max level, Franklin’s Basic ability will flip 3 positive effects on the target to negative and convert 3 negative effects on himself to positive (up from 2). This is a solid upgrade, as being able to flip more positive effects into negatives on opponents and vice versa on yourself is always advantageous.

Human Torch

When fully upgraded, Human Torch’s Passive allows him to prolong the duration of all negative effects (excluding Trauma, Silence, Ability Block, and Stun) by one turn for each enemy he successfully attacks, provided he has two or more Fantastic Four allies. This extension can last up to a maximum of three turns. Although he cannot prolong the most critical negative effects mentioned earlier, he can still extend the duration of other negative effects, making this a valuable enhancement.

The Thing

With a maxed Passive, The Thing will deal 275% Piercing damage when he retaliates against opponents who have attacked him or any Fantastic Four or New Avenger ally, an increase from the previous 225% Piercing damage. Enhancements to passive damage are always a welcome improvement.

The Thing’s Ultimate ability will inflict increased damage when upgraded to the maximum level. If the primary target has Safeguard or is a Minion, the attack will receive a +100% Critical Hit Chance, guaranteeing a critical hit. Additionally, if The Thing kills the target with his Ultimate, he will apply Immunity and Speed Up to himself and all Fantastic Four allies. This is an effective strategy for dealing increased damage to targets immune to clearing positive effects or Minions, and it also enhances the entire team if The Thing secures a kill with his Ultimate.

Invisible Woman (MCU)

When a Fantastic Four allies use their Special or Ultimate abilities, Invisible Woman (MCU) will attack the most injured enemy for 150% Piercing damage (up from 75%), if we max out her Passive. This upgrade effectively doubles the passive damage she deals to opponents.

When Invisible Woman (MCU) has her Special on maximum level, she will apply Trauma to the primary target for 2 turns, and in Arena, if she has 2 or more Fantastic Four allies, to adjacent targets also (increased from 1 turn). This is a significant upgrade, as it allows us to prevent targets from removing debuffs for longer periods (2 turns instead of 1 turn).

Mister Fantastic (MCU)

Upgrading Mister Fantastic’s (MCU) Passive ability to its maximum level will enhance the team’s mitigation. When a member of the Fantastic Four or a Fantastic Four ally uses a Special or Ultimate, Mister Fantastic (MCU) will provide a Barrier to himself and all allies equal to 10% of his Max Health (up from 5%).

At Max level, Mister Fantastic’s (MCU) Special will deal slightly more damage. However, its more significant benefit is that if he has 2 or more Fantastic Four allies, it will reduce the duration of all negative effects on himself and each ally by 2 turns. Additionally, he will apply Safeguard to himself and all allies for 2 turns (up from 1 turn). This improvement enables anti-Trauma mechanics, meaning that even if someone on the team has Trauma (which prevents the removal of negative effects), Mister Fantastic (MCU) will still be able to clear those negative effects after using his Special.

With a fully upgraded Ultimate, Mister Fantastic (MCU) will deal increased damage and gain Safeguard for 2 turns upon using it (up from 1 turn). This improvement provides better protection for him, as most opponents will not be able to remove his buffs for 2 turns.

Recommended

  • Human Torch – Special
  • The Thing – Special
  • Invisible Woman (MCU) – Ultimate

Human Torch

The Human Torch will gain +2 Offense Up (increased from +1), deal more damage, and gain an assist from one random Fantastic Four ally. When his Special is maxed, he will be able to deal significantly higher damage to the primary target, especially considering the additional damage he receives from assisting the Fantastic Four ally.

The Thing

When The Thing’s Special is fully upgraded, he will deal an extra +20% damage with each of his hits. This may seem minimal for a single hit, but since The Thing strikes the target five times, this results in an overall +100% additional damage. Furthermore, each of these five hits has a chance to be a critical hit, increasing the total damage substantially. Given that The Thing has excellent stats and high Damage, it is advisable to max out his Special for optimal damage output.

Invisible Woman (MCU)

Maximizing her Ultimate will result in significantly higher damage and will also apply Defense Down for 2 turns (increased from 1 turn). This is a valuable upgrade due to the increased damage and the extended duration of Defense Down on all opponents.

Red Stars and Diamonds

Getting 7 Red Stars on the new characters Mister Fantastic (MCU), Invisible Woman (MCU), and Franklin Richards shouldn’t be complicated, as long as you open Elite Red Star Orbs when they are featured there. Human Torch, and The Thing are older characters so plenty of players might have them at high Red Stars already.

You could also get Red Stars for them from the Incursion Campaign:

  • 6 Red Stars for Human Torch – Incursion 7-7
  • 7 Red Stars for The Thing – Incursion 8-7

When the Mister Fantastic (MCU), Invisible Woman (MCU), and Franklin Richards becomes farmable and free-to-play players are able to collect 7 Yellow/Red Stars for them, we also recommend using Diamonds for them (3+ Diamonds for all three).

For Human Torch, prioritize 3 or more Diamonds, while The Thing should be the lowest priority in this team

Team Mechanics

The Fantastic Four has always been a cornerstone of superhero lore, and their reputation precedes them across every corner of the multiverse. Known for their unbreakable bond as a family and their unparalleled teamwork, they are a force to be reckoned with. Now, S.T.R.I.K.E., under the leadership of Nick Fury, is assembling a new iteration of this legendary team designed specifically to dominate Arena. This new Fantastic Four (MCU) team promises to be a perfect blend of classic heroes and fresh updates, ready to face and overcome all the obstacles that are put in front of them.

At the helm of this revamped team is none other than Mister Fantastic (MCU), Reed Richards, whose genius intellect and elastic powers make him the ultimate strategist and problem-solver Protector. Beside him stands the Invisible Woman (MCU), Susan Storm, whose ability to manipulate energy fields and turn invisible makes her an offensive powerhouse. Joining them is Franklin Richards, a character long celebrated in the comics for his reality-warping abilities and immense potential. His inclusion adds a layer of intrigue and raw power to the team dynamic with his Battlefield Effect and new debuff Silence.

Of course, no Fantastic Four team would be complete without the iconic duo of The Thing and the Human Torch, which are reworked characters of this team. Ben Grimm, The Thing, is receiving updates to ensure his superhuman strength and durability are more than capable of handling today’s most dangerous adversaries. Meanwhile, Johnny Storm, the Human Torch, is being reimagined with enhanced abilities to bring his fiery charisma and combat prowess to new heights.

This reassembled Fantastic Four promises to honor the legacy of the original team while adapting to the challenges of modern-day heroics. With their unique blend of intelligence, power, and teamwork, they are poised to take on any threat that comes their way in the Marvel Strike Force game, especially in Arena.

Franklin Richards

Franklin Richards is a character, known as one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe. He is the son of Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic) and Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), members of the Fantastic Four. Born with incredible powers due to his parents’ exposure to cosmic radiation, Franklin is classified as an Omega-level mutant, placing him among the most powerful mutants in existence.

Franklin’s abilities are vast and primarily rooted in reality manipulation and psionics. He has demonstrated the ability to create entire universes, reshape reality, and manipulate time and space. From a young age, he displayed extraordinary potential, often surpassing even the most experienced heroes and villains in terms of raw power. Despite his immense abilities, Franklin has been portrayed as a compassionate and kind-hearted individual, often grappling with the responsibility that comes with his power.

He has been instrumental in saving the universe on multiple occasions, including creating pocket dimensions and assisting his family and allies during cosmic-level threats. His relationship with his family, particularly his father Reed Richards, is a central theme in his character development, as they work together to understand and manage his powers.

Franklin Richards is a symbol of untapped potential and the challenges of wielding great power responsibly. His character continues to evolve within the Marvel Universe, representing hope, growth, and the limitless possibilities of imagination.

Franklin Richards is an exceptionally powerful character in the game, showcasing abilities that make him a standout controller. He introduces two significant mechanics: the Negative Effect “Silence” and the Battlefield Effect “Future Foundation.” Silence prevents affected characters from applying positive or negative effects to allies or enemies, and they are also unable to reduce the duration of positive effects. The Future Foundation Battlefield Effect, triggered by Franklin’s Ultimate ability, is particularly impactful in Arena mode. Once activated, it cannot be cleared or replaced and lasts until eight characters (allies or enemies) have completed their turns. During this time, on an enemy’s turn, Franklin applies Silence to that character. He also prevents enemies from filling or reducing Speed Bars for themselves, allies, or enemies. Those two effects are available in Arena. Additionally in all game modes enemies cannot assist while this effect is active.

Outside of these mechanics, Franklin Richards brings a host of other valuable abilities to the table. At the start of the battle, he passively increases Speed for himself and all Fantastic Four (MCU) allies, and in Arena mode, this extends to all allies. He restricts enemies from increasing their Speed Stat (except through positive effects) and gains 4% Speed Bar to his entire team whenever any Fantastic Four (MCU) member uses their Special or Ultimate abilities. Furthermore, Franklin can copy buffs from enemies and redistribute them to all allies, and then flip those buffs into debuffs on opponents, simultaneously strengthening his team while weakening the enemy. His ability to reduce the duration of positive effects on enemies (countering Safeguard mechanics) is only one of many things that makes him an incredibly strong and impactful character in the game, potentially one of the most powerful in Marvel Strike Force.

Basic includes flipping 3 negative effects into positive effects on himself. He attacks primary and adjacent targets, dealing 320% damage while also flipping 3 positive effects on them into negative effects.

When using ISO-8 or during counterattacks/assists, Franklin Richards flips 3 negative effects into positive effects on himself, attacks the primary target for 244% damage, adds 17% piercing damage, and flips 3 positive effects on the target into negative effects.

Franklin Richards’ Special is a powerful move in the game. It costs 6 energy, can be used in the first turn, and allows him to attack the primary and adjacent targets for 340% damage. If he has at least 2 Fantastic Four (MCU) allies, he can reduce the duration of Safeguard by 2. Additionally, he can copy all positive effects (except Taunt, Stealth, and Regeneration) from the primary and adjacent targets to himself. He then spreads all positive effects (excluding Taunt, Stealth, and Regeneration) from himself to all allies. Finally, he flips all positive effects on the primary and adjacent targets into negative effects, making this ability highly impactful in battles. So at the same time, he removes Safeguard from opponents, flips all their buffs into debuffs, and also buffs its entire team.

Ultimate is Franklin’s crucial ability with an energy cost of 8/8. It clears all Battlefield Effects and applies the Future Foundation Battlefield Effect to the enemy side. In Arena, this effect cannot be removed or replaced and lasts until 8 characters (allies and enemies) have completed their turns.

If Franklin Richards has at least 2 Fantastic Four (MCU) allies, the duration of all positive effects on enemies is reduced by 2. Additionally, this ability attacks all enemies for 350% damage and applies Silence. In Arena, it also reduces the duration of all positive effects on enemies by 2. If there are 2 or more Fantastic Four allies, the Silence effect lasts for 2 turns instead.

This attack cannot be dodged and gains +200% Extra Focus, ensuring its effectiveness.

The Future Foundation Battlefield Effect includes the following:

– In Arena, on an enemy’s turn, Silence is applied to that character.

– In Arena, enemies cannot fill or reduce Speed Bar for themselves, their allies, or their enemies, except through normal means.

– Enemy characters cannot assist.

Franklin Richards’ Battlefield Effect prevents opponents from assisting in any game mode and applies additional Silence in the Arena whenever it’s their turn to play. This also stops them from filling their own Speed Bar or reducing ours, which is highly advantageous. Franklin’s Passive ability ensures that opponents cannot increase their Speed Stat (except through positive effects, which can be flipped to Slow, turning their advantage into a disadvantage). With Franklin Richards on our team, opponents in the Arena will be unable to passively or actively fill their Speed Bar or boost their Speed Stat while his Battlefield Effect is active. This provides a strong counter to many characters.

Silence:

  • Characters who have Silence can’t apply positive or negative effects to allies or enemies.
  • Characters who have Silence also can’t reduce the duration of positive effects.

So, Silence essentially prevents opponents from buffing themselves and debuffing our team. Additionally, they cannot reduce the duration of positive effects on our team with their abilities, such as Thanos’s (Endgame) Passive attack or Ultimate, Franklin Richards’s Ultimate or Special, or Professor Xavier’s Ultimate or Special, etc.

Franklin Richards’s Passive Breakdown:

  1. Speed Bar Boost:
    • When any Fantastic Four (MCU) ally uses a Special or Ultimate ability, Franklin Richards and all allies gain a 4% Speed Bar increase. This passively helps the entire team play more often.
  2. Enemy Speed Restriction:
    • If Franklin has at least 2 Fantastic Four (MCU) allies, enemies cannot increase their Speed unless it is through positive effects. This is an excellent restriction against opponents, especially considering the abundance of characters who can passively boost Speed stats for themselves and their allies. This ensures Franklin Richards can effectively disable such advantages.
  3. Resistance Reduction:
    • All enemies have their Resistance reduced by 50%. It allows us to more easily apply key debuffs, and flip or remove buffs from opponents.
  4. Speed Increase (until Franklin completes a turn):
    • Franklin gains +5% Speed, and all Fantastic Four (MCU) allies also gain +5% Speed.
    • If Franklin has 2 or more Fantastic Four (MCU) allies, he and all Fantastic Four (MCU) allies gain an additional +45% Speed.

Speed Increase will function somewhat differently due to the mechanics present in the game. We know Franklin is the fastest member of the Fantastic Four (MCU) team and is expected to act first, followed by Invisible Woman, who is the second fastest. However, Franklin’s Passive ability, on Spawn, grants a 50% Speed boost to all his allies except himself. Franklin only receives the Speed stat increase when it is someone’s turn to play (ally or enemy).

This means Invisible Woman will take her turn first, followed immediately by Franklin Richards. As a result, she can use her Ultimate ability to group all enemies together, enabling other characters, including Franklin, to use their abilities more effectively. Abilities that normally target primary and adjacent enemies will now be able to hit all opponents ASAP in this scenario.

  1. Arena-Specific Effect:
    • In Arena game mode, if Franklin has 2 or more Fantastic Four (MCU) allies, all other allies gain a +50% Speed boost. This allows other non-Fantastic Four (MCU) or Fantastic Four characters in the Arena to receive a 50% Speed stat increase. In other words, characters like Professor Xavier, Quasar, Odin, Mephisto, or any other character you pair with the Fantastic Four (MCU) team in the Arena will benefit from Franklin’s Passive and be able to play significantly faster.

Human Torch

Human Torch, whose real name is Johnny Storm, is a beloved superhero and a key member of the Fantastic Four. Johnny is the younger brother of Sue Storm, also known as the Invisible Woman. Together with Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic) and Ben Grimm (The Thing), they form the Fantastic Four, a team of heroes who gained extraordinary abilities after being exposed to cosmic rays during a space mission.

Johnny Storm’s powers allow him to engulf his entire body in flames, fly at incredible speeds, and control fire with precision. His signature battle cry, “Flame On!”, activates his fiery transformation. In addition to his pyrokinesis, Johnny can generate intense heat and even create powerful fireballs to use against his enemies. Despite his youthful, impulsive, and often cocky personality, Johnny is a courageous hero who deeply values his team and their mission to protect humanity.

As a character, Human Torch has been portrayed as a fun-loving and adventurous individual, often bringing humor and energy to the Fantastic Four’s dynamic. His relationships with his teammates, especially his playful rivalry with Ben Grimm, add depth to his character. Over the years, Johnny has faced numerous challenges, from battling supervillains like Doctor Doom to confronting personal struggles and growth.

He is a Blaster capable of dealing more than solid damage while also assisting all other Fantastic Four (MCU) allies. He can buff his team with Offense Up and reduce the offensive potential of all opponents by applying Offense Down. He is also capable of removing Barrier from all enemies and extending the duration of negative effects on them.

Human Torch with Basic deals 280% damage to the primary target and applies Bleed for 2 turns. This is a straightforward basic attack that inflicts damage and applies a Bleed effect.

His Special grants him a boost in offensive power, providing +2 Offense Up with a cap of 5. Additionally, it enhances all allies by giving them +1 Offense Up, with a maximum limit of 3. This ability also involves attacking a primary target for 270% damage while applying a Heal Block effect. Furthermore, it includes gaining an assist from one random Fantastic Four ally during the attack. With this ability, the Human Torch can damage one enemy significantly, potentially even killing him.

With his Ultimate ability, the Human Torch removes all Barriers first, then deals massive damage to all enemies while reducing their offensive potential and preventing them from being healed by applying Offense Down and Heal Block. It also applies 2 Bleed to each of the enemies. A great feature of this attack is that it always hits all enemies (is Unavoidable), and they cannot counter it.

Human Torch’s Passive allows him to flip 3 negative effects into positive effects on himself whenever it is his turn. Additionally, when a Fantastic Four ally takes a turn, he gains the “Assist Now” effect. If Human Torch is teamed with at least 2 other Fantastic Four allies, any successful attack he makes on an enemy will extend the duration of all negative effects (except Trauma, Silence, Ability Block, and Stun) by 1 turn, up to a maximum of 3 turns.

The ability to always assist his Fantastic Four allies makes him an excellent team member, as his assistance extends the negative effects previously applied by his allies. Additionally, if his Iso-8 class is Skirmisher, the damage he deals while assisting is increased, and he can create an effective Striker-Skirmisher combo with Strikers. The extension of negative effects is limited because he cannot prolong the most significant and powerful negativities. However, despite this limitation, it is still extremely useful.

The Thing

The Thing, also known as Benjamin “Ben” Grimm, is one of the most classic characters in the Marvel Universe. He is a founding member of the Fantastic Four, Marvel’s first superhero team. Ben Grimm was once a skilled pilot and astronaut who found himself forever changed after an experimental space mission exposed him and his teammates to cosmic rays. While his friends gained extraordinary powers, Ben’s transformation was the most dramatic—his body turned into a rocky, orange, superhuman form, granting him immense strength, durability, and endurance.

Despite his gruff exterior and sometimes short temper, The Thing is known for his big heart, loyalty, and sense of humor. His signature catchphrase, “It’s clobberin’ time!” has become synonymous with his readiness to take on any challenge or threat. Beneath his tough appearance lies a man who struggles with his altered form but continues to fight for justice and protect those he cares about.

Over the years, The Thing has been a key figure in countless Marvel storylines, battling villains like Doctor Doom, Galactus, and Mole Man alongside his Fantastic Four teammates—Mr. Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, and the Human Torch. His friendship with Johnny Storm (the Human Torch) is often filled with playful banter and pranks, adding a lighthearted dynamic to their adventures.

The Thing’s journey is not just about superhero battles but also about acceptance and self-discovery. Despite feeling like an outcast at times due to his appearance, Ben Grimm remains a symbol of resilience and inner strength. He has proven time and again that being a hero isn’t about looks—it’s about courage, kindness, and standing up for what’s right.

The Thing is a Brawler capable of delivering massive single-target damage while also possessing a degree of control. His Ultimate ability, which can apply Stun, Disrupt, and Trauma to a target, is one of the strongest forms of crowd control. Additionally, he can counter enemy attacks – specifically, whenever an opponent attacks him or any member of the Fantastic Four (MCU) characters, if The Thing is not Ability Blocked, he will retaliate against that opponent with solid Piercing damage.

With Basic, The Thing attacks the primary target with 350% damage. Nothing special, just pure damage.

The Thing’s Special ability involves attacking the primary target for 250% damage while flipping Deflect, Minor Deflect, and Deathproof. Additionally, it executes four bonus attacks, each dealing 150% damage. Notably, this attack is unblockable. With this attack, The Thing can deal massive single-target damage. It can often happen that he kills the opponent he is attacking.

Ultimate ability is a powerful attack targeting a single enemy. It deals 550% damage while removing all positive effects from the target. Additionally, it applies Stun for 1 turn, Disrupted for 2 turns, and Trauma for 2 turns to the primary target. If the target has Safeguard or is a Minion, the attack gains a 100% critical hit chance. Upon defeating the target, The Thing provides Immunity and Speed Up to himself and all Fantastic Four allies. This ability is exceptionally potent with a massive +2,000% Extra Focus, ensuring its effects land successfully, and it cannot be counterattacked or blocked.

Ability that allows him to control one of the opponents and also deal significant damage. If the target has Safeguard, preventing The Thing from removing positive effects, he will always land a Critical hit on that target, in other words, causing greater damage.

The Thing’s Passive ability in War grants him a Speed Bar boost upon spawning, with an additional increase based on the number of New Avenger or Fantastic Four allies (fill Speed Bar by 15% + 15% per New Avenger or Fantastic Four ally). Additionally, when an enemy attacks him or his allies from these teams (NA or F4), and if he is not Ability Blocked, he retaliates with a 275% Piercing attack (this works in every game mode). Furthermore, against Chargable Protector enemies in WAR, he removes 5 Charged effects, and this action cannot be resisted. Charged removal is excellent against Ms. Marvel (Classic), for example.

Invisible Woman (MCU)

Invisible Woman, also known as Susan “Sue” Storm-Richards, is a prominent character and a central member of the Fantastic Four. While she has yet to make her official debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as of now, fans eagerly anticipate her introduction in the upcoming Fantastic Four film, which is expected to bring the iconic superhero team into the MCU.

Sue Storm possesses incredible superpowers granted by cosmic radiation during a space mission. Her primary abilities include invisibility and the creation of powerful force fields. She can render herself and others invisible at will, as well as project protective barriers or offensive constructs with her force fields. These powers make her a versatile and formidable hero, often serving as the heart and strategist of the Fantastic Four.

As a character, Sue is known for her intelligence, compassion, and leadership qualities. She is married to Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic) and serves as a mother figure to her younger brother, Johnny Storm (the Human Torch). Her relationships with her family and team members play a significant role in defining her character, highlighting her strength and emotional depth.

The inclusion of Invisible Woman in the MCU is highly anticipated, as fans are excited to see how the franchise will adapt her powers, personality, and dynamic with the Fantastic Four. With Marvel Studios’ reputation for bringing beloved characters to life, Sue Storm’s introduction is expected to be a major moment in the MCU’s future storytelling.

Invisible Woman (MCU) is a powerful and strategic Brawler in the Fantastic Four team. She excels in dealing significant damage (actively and passively) while remaining hidden in Stealth. Her abilities allow her to apply Bleed with her attacks, gather all enemies to each other to maximize team damage, and inflict critical debuffs like Trauma, Ability Block, and Defense Down. Additionally, she can remove all positive effects from enemies, making her a versatile and essential asset for her team.

Invisible Woman’s Basic targets a primary target, dealing 300% Piercing damage and applying 2 stacks of Bleed. It then chains to 2 adjacent enemies, dealing the same 300% Piercing damage and applying 2 Bleed to each. Notably, counterattacks will not disrupt this chain effect.

With ISO – 8/Counter Attack/Assists she is attacking the primary target for 230% Piercing and applying 2 Bleed.

The Invisible Woman’s Special provides a strategic advantage in battles. She gains +1 Stealth, up to a cap of 3, and debuffs enemies by applying Defense Down for 2 turns to both primary and adjacent targets. The attack deals 250% piercing damage to these targets, while also inflicting Trauma for 2 turns and Ability Block for 1 turn on the primary target. In Arena, if accompanied by at least 2 Fantastic Four allies, Trauma is additionally applied to adjacent targets for 2 turns. This powerful move bypasses Defense Up and cannot be counterattacked, making it a formidable tool in combat scenarios. Special can be used on the first turn and it has a low cooldown of 3 turns, so it can be used frenquently.

Invisible Woman Ultimate is a powerful ability in a strategic game. It costs 6 energy to use, can be used in the first turn, and has a significant impact on the battlefield. The ability pulls all enemies within a 2-space radius towards a primary target, effectively grouping them together. Additionally, it removes all positive effects from all enemies, weakening their offensive and defensive capabilities. This ability is indeed powerful, as it enables allies to maximize their offensive potential by targeting all enemies, with attacks that will otherwise hit only primary and adjacent targets, amplifying the overall impact in battle.

After repositioning the enemies, the ability deals 400% damage to all of them, which is a substantial amount of damage. It also applies Defense Down for 2 turns, making them more vulnerable to subsequent attacks. The ability benefits from a +200% Extra Focus, ensuring that it successfully affects the targets, and cannot be dodged or counterattacked.

Passive provides her with Stealth upon spawning. Whenever a Fantastic Four ally activates their Special or Ultimate abilities, she targets the most injured enemy, dealing 150% Piercing damage, and gains an additional Stealth, capping at 3. While in Stealth, she benefits from a 25% increase in Critical Damage and a 100% boost in Critical Chance.

Invisible Woman can passively deal significant damage to opponents, especially considering that the Fantastic Four (MCU) is a fast team, with all its members frequently taking turns and using their Specials and Ultimates. This ensures that the passive damage dealt by Invisible Woman to opponents is substantial. Taking into account that every hit she lands is critical, with increased critical damage due to her being almost constantly in Stealth, it becomes clear how impactful she can be.

Mister Fantastic (MCU)

Mister Fantastic, also known as Reed Richards, is a brilliant scientist and one of the most iconic characters in the Marvel Universe. Reed Richards is a founding member of the Fantastic Four, a team of superheroes who gained extraordinary abilities after being exposed to cosmic radiation during a space expedition. Mister Fantastic’s powers include extreme elasticity, allowing him to stretch, reshape, and manipulate his body in incredible ways. Beyond his physical abilities, Reed is renowned for his unparalleled intellect and scientific expertise, often serving as the team’s leader and strategist.

With Marvel Studios officially announcing a Fantastic Four movie slated for future release, Reed Richards is expected to play a pivotal role in expanding the MCU’s narrative and exploring new scientific and cosmic dimensions. Mister Fantastic’s inclusion in the MCU marks an exciting chapter for fans of Marvel’s first family, promising thrilling adventures and deeper explorations of his character’s genius, leadership, and humanity.

Mister Fantastic (MCU), is a superhero with the extraordinary ability to stretch and reshape his body into any form. As a leader and a father, he symbolizes adaptability and resilience, always prioritizing the safety of his loved ones. His Protector kit not only serves as a safeguard for his family but also equips him with the means to defend and counterattack when necessary. This dual-purpose approach reflects his commitment to both shielding and empowering those he cares about.

Mister Fantastic (MCU) primarily plays a protective role for his team by providing Barriers whenever any Fantastic Four character uses their Special or Ultimate abilities. He starts with a Taunt on Spawn and can regain it after using his abilities. Additionally, he reduces the duration of negative effects on his team. However, he is not solely a defensive character; he can also apply interesting debuffs to opponents, such as Stun and removing their Barriers. Notably, he deals percentage-based Health damage to enemies, making him a versatile and impactful team member.

Mister Fantastic’s (MCU) Basic allows him to attack a primary target with 320% damage and apply Offense Down. When utilizing ISO-8 or during counterattacks/assists, he deals 250% damage, adds 17% Piercing, and applies Offense Down as well.

This is a straightforward ability that can effectively diminish the ability of at least one opponent to pose a significant threat by reducing his offensive potential.

Mister Fantastic’s (MCU) Special is a versatile and powerful ability. It costs 4 energy, can be used in the first turn, and offers a combination of crowd control, damage, and team protection. Here’s a breakdown:

The ability applies Stun to the primary target, preventing them from taking any action for a turn. It attacks the primary target and adjacent enemies with 300% damage plus an additional 10% of each target’s Max Health, making it effective against both squishy and tanky enemies.

Mister Fantastic (MCU) gains Taunt for 2 turns, redirecting enemy attacks to himself and protecting his allies. If he has at least 2 Fantastic Four allies, he reduces the duration of all negative effects on himself and his allies by 2 turns. This includes expiring effects like Trauma instantly.

He applies 2 stacks of Deathproof and Safeguard to himself and all allies for 2 turns, ensuring survivability and preventing health from dropping below 1 while maintaining buffs. The attack cannot be dodged, and if he has at least 2 Fantastic Four allies, it becomes completely unavoidable.

This ability not only removes negative effects with anti-Trauma mechanics, but also protects the team with Taunt and buffs, while controlling an enemy with Stun. It’s a well-rounded skill that offers both offensive and defensive utility.

Ultimate ability is a powerful move with which Mister Fantastic (MCU) clears barriers from all enemies, and deals significant damage to all enemies based on both his attack power and a percentage of their maximum health (320% damage + 5% of each target’s Max Health), and provides strong defensive support to his team. He grants himself and all allies a barrier equal to 20% of his maximum health, gains Taunt and Safeguard for two turns, and becomes Charged, enhancing his capabilities further. This ability requires 8 energy to activate and can be used in the first turn.

Passive ability provides significant defensive and supportive capabilities for himself and his allies, especially when teamed with Fantastic Four (MCU) characters. Upon spawning, Mister Fantastic (MCU) becomes highly durable with 4 Deathproof, Taunt, and Safeguard for 2 turns, along with a Barrier for the entire team equal to 15% of his Max Health. Additionally, whenever a Fantastic Four (MCU) or Fantastic Four ally uses their Special or Ultimate abilities, the team gains another Barrier for 10% of his Max Health.

His Charged mechanic enhances team survivability further by granting +100% Block Chance and +10% Block Amount to the entire team while Charged. But on his turn, if he has Charged, he loses 1 Charged. So after he uses the Ultimate he will get Charged, and until his next turn, the whole team will have a significantly stronger mitigation. When every member of the team achieves 100% Block Chance, it significantly limits the opponent’s ability to apply debuffs, as only unblockable attacks will bypass this defense. Additionally, the overall damage from opponents will be reduced, providing a distinct advantage in maintaining the team’s stability and survivability.

His synergy with Fantastic Four (MCU) allies is amplified as he gains +20% Block Chance and +5% Block Amount per ally, making him an exceptional tank and support character in such team compositions.

Combat Tips & Tricks

To use the Fantastic Four (MCU) team effectively, it’s important to remember that they do not require a complete team (all 5 characters) to be efficient, effective, and most importantly, successful. If we replace the two reworked characters (The Thing and Human Torch), with strong plug-and-play characters like Professor Xavier, Odin, Quasar, or Mephisto, we create a formidable Arena META team.

When playing with Franklin, it’s best to start with his Ultimate ability, as this applies a Battlefield Effect to the opponent’s side. Similarly, with Invisible Woman (MCU), using her Ultimate as the first move is ideal because it removes buffs from all opponents and pulls all enemies two spaces toward the primary target. With Mister Fantastic, it’s advantageous to open up with his Ultimate since it gives him Charged, which significantly boosts the entire team’s mitigation. The Thing can effectively control an opponent using his Ultimate, while Human Torch should utilize his Special ability, which is beneficial as it increases the offensive potential by applying Offense Up to the entire team. Overall, there are no significant mistakes when using these abilities; opting for an Ultimate will yield positive results.

Whenever one of the Fantastic Four (MCU) characters uses a Special or Ultimate, the three new F4(MCU) characters will passively react each in their own way:

  • Mister Fantastic (MCU) Barriers himself and all allies for 15% of his Max Health.
  • Invisible Woman (MCU) attacks the most injured enemy for 150% Piercing Damage before gaining Stealth.
  • Franklin Richards fills the Speed Bar by 4% for himself and his allies.

This simultaneously boosts the team’s Mitigation, and damage, and allows them to play sooner. This is the formula for success, but the most important thing is that these buffs can be applied to all allies, regardless of whether they are members of the Fantastic Four (MCU) team or not.

Thanks to Franklin Richards’ Passive, the Fantastic Four (MCU) is an incredibly fast team, ensuring that its members, in most cases, will act before the opponent. This allows them to overpower opposing teams and be extremely effective in nearly any game mode. Of course, in Crucible, some teams can negate Speed stat increases (such as Accursed or Starjammers), and similarly in War (like Astral). This makes battles against those teams more balanced.

Overall, the Fantastic Four (MCU) is a top-tier team, and likely the strongest team to arrive in an MSF game upon release. Like all previous Arena teams, they are going to set new standards and dominate various game modes (especially Arena) for an extended period.
