Biography

As a brain-washed assassin, James Bucky Barnes committed terrifying acts of terrorism and crime. After regaining his sanity, he remembered he was a good guy and a good friend of Steve Rogers. Piece by piece, Bucky rebuilt his mind and became a force for good.

Now, again on the front lines alongside Cap, Bucky has upgraded armor and gear and is ready to duel anyone. He is resolved to find a way out of the Timestream Entanglement for everybody, but some eggs are bound to get broken to make that omelet.

Abilities

Normal Attack (Left Click): Roterstern –Fire explosive rounds with his blaster, Roterstern, damaging the target hit and enemies behind him. There are only three bullets in the gun, but it automatically reloads whenever you use any of your abilities! Practice clicking heads because it will help a lot, and don’t spam it at the beginning until you get used to combinations.

• Kraken Impact (Q) – Leap high, then dash forward and slam down with the bionic arm, dealing damage to enemies in range, marking them for Culling. Marked enemies will perish instantly if their health falls below a certain threshold, recharging the bionic arm for another Kraken Impact within a short period. You don’t even finish enemies with your ultimate in order to reset it as you have a short period to finish the marked target however you want to, which lets you use your Q ability again. Very powerful if timed right.
  
  
• Trooper’s Fist (LShift) – Dash forward, seizing enemies along the path, and Knock enemies in front airborne at the end of the dash. Sometimes it can also be used as an escape tool that can help you avoid incoming damage or crowded positions.
  
  
• Tainted Voltage (E) – Charge up and launch a powerful electrical punch with the bionic arm in the target direction, dealing damage to enemies within range and Slowing them. Great ability to use once more enemies are grouped together because it can hit multiple at once.
  
  
• Bionic Hook (Right Click) – Charge up and launch a hook with his bionic arm, reeling in the first target hit and enemies lurking behind. Holding your right click will increase the range of the hook. One of his most important abilities. Imagine reeling in the enemy strategist in the middle of your team, the fight is over before it even started! It would be smart to call the target the one you pulled because even if it’s a Vanguard u can easily burst him together.
  
  
• Ceaseless Charge (Passive) – Roterstern reloads automatically while the bionic arm is in action, granting the Winter Soldier Bonus Health. This is what makes Winter Soldier an S-tier duelist. By firing two shots, then one of your abilities, then two shots once again, then one of the abilities, and so on, Bucky will put constant pressure on enemies, making him really frustrating to deal with!
  
  
• Infinite Grit – Team Up Ability – Rocket Raccoon throws an Ammo Overload Device in the target direction. Upon entering the device’s range, The Punisher and Winter Soldier receive the buffs of Infinite Ammo and Faster Firing. Be sure just to call it when you want it to your Racoon and unleash hell.

Strengths

Bucky’s biggest strength is the fact that he can turn the tide of combat in his favor by reeling in the right target with his right-click ability. Also, if you land headshots and use your abilities in the right order, he will have an insane kill potential.

Weaknesses

As he only has 250 HP and not many movement and escape abilities, making him an easy target to hit.

Counters

Hela, Punisher

Winter Soldier doesn’t want to play in very long range, that’s why Hela is superior in those duels, but if you shorten the distance you shouldn’t have that much trouble.

Punisher is a bigger problem because he has weapons for all ranges, if you manage to get closer to him, he will pull out his shotgun and put you to sleep. But because Bucky has Trooper’s Fist (LShift) he can leave enemies on the wrong foot and kill them fast you can deal with anyone, even Punisher.

Team-Ups

His team-up partner is Rocket Raccoon who, just like when paired with Punisher, gives Bucky Infinite Ammo and Faster Firing!
Punisher gets so much better with this even tho he has 30 bullets already, now imagine the one who has only 3, it’s not and day difference.

Synergy

Other than Rocket Raccoon, Bucky will benefit the most from the Poke team composition, where you slowly break through enemy lines as you wait for the perfect moment to engage!

Tips and Tricks

Keep in mind that every ability reloads your Gun, which means that you should always use an ability after firing three shots.

You can hold your hook for as long as you want to before firing, allowing you to take your time while aiming, as landing it on the right target means you will probably win the fight.

Once you use your ultimate ability, keep an eye out for marked targets and focus them down as fast as possible so your ultimate resets! Just don’t get baited to die for a reset, because is never worth it.
