Biography

Growing up as a pickpocket on the streets of Cairo, Ororo Munroe had a hard time. However, she was quickly adorned with the status of a goddess when her mutation to control the elements and the weather awoke.

But, Ororo chose a different path when Professor X called her to join his fight to save the world and make it a better place for everyone. When the temporal entanglement hit, Ororo used all her power to stabilize the potentially cataclysmic effects on the Krakoa island and she now fights to reverse the effects.

Abilities

Normal Attack (Left Click): Wind Blade – Launch forward-piercing Wind Blades. They are not that easy to hit, but you can spam them all the time. Just practice it and you will be good in no time.

• Omega Hurricane (Q) – Transform into a hurricane to draw in nearby enemies and deal damage. This is when Storm from the support damage dealer becomes The Boss. Try to use it on squishes because they will not have time to react but be careful to slowly retreat while using it. You just become a regular, easy-to-hit Storm after the ult is over.
  
  
• Weather Control (LShift) –Tornado grants a Movement Boost; Thunder grants a Damage Boost. Try to keep track of things going on in the game, speed boost is perfect for repositioning, while damage boost can turn the tides of a fight! Heroes like Captain America and Thor that are so good when they are near their enemies will love you in their team. Speed them into the fight, and after that use damage boost in the middle of it, if you win you can also use Tornado again to chase the leftovers, or if you see that you are losing, speed boost them to safe spots.
  
  
• Goddess Boost (E) – Empower Storm; Tornado grants a Movement Boost; Thunder grants a Damage Boost and summons lightning to inflict damage. When you are in a position for free damage, or you are having a duel against some duelist feel free to turn the tides on your side with this ability.
  
  
• Bolt Rush (Right Click) – Unleash a lightning bolt forward. Good for single-target prioritization, especially when you use Goddess Boost (E) to empower yourself. Great for finishing off targets!
  
  
• Charged Gale (C) – Team-Up Ability – Thor infuses Thorforce into Storm, granting her an electrifying enhancement. With an electrifying enhancement, Storm can unleash a lightning barrage. Amazing when enemies are grouped up together because it’s a chain lightning.

Strengths

Storm is perfect for Brawl team composition as she gives movement speed to hear teammates constantly which is very much needed. Also, she can damage boost them in mid-fight and has a lot of aoe abilities. She is also great against melee characters as she can fly permanently!

Weaknesses

Fighting hitscan heroes can be really hard as she is an easy target to hit while in the air for heroes such as Hela and Punisher!

Team-Ups

Once Thor and Storm are picked in the same team, Storm will gain an extra damage ability – Charged Gale. This ability will help Storm dish out even more damage and charge up her even faster, which is important, as her ultimate ability is one of the strongest in the game!

Synergy

Storm is a great example of a hybrid between Duelist and Strategist that allows many slower heroes and heroes that suffer from the lack of damage boost truly shine! Every Vanguard that has slow movement and loves to be in the face of an enemy will beg for Storm in their team.

Counters

Hela, The Punisher, Spider-Man.

You already know that Storm is slow flying hero, so that implies she is easy for hitscans to hit.

The things I can suggest here are very simple, just try to play close to cover all the time to not get bursted, shoot them from the off-angle, and try to listen or look if your Vanguard or someone else is taking their attention and try to use that moment to strike.

The third one is weird and really tricky. It’s so strange to have close-range characters like Spider-Man being counter to Storm who can fly all the time.

The problem is that Spidey needs to lend just one of his Web Cluster (Right Click), to start his combo, and if he has Venom Team Up he can one-shot you.

So you should make him that he needs to get into the dangerous spots to get you, or if u see him use it already because he has a long cooldown try to focus him before he gets another one.

Tips and Tricks

Try playing around your team as giving your slower tank movement speed buff can turn the tides of a fight.

Make sure to avoid staying in line of sight of hitscan characters. Use off angles and change them a lot.

Empower yourself in duels even if you can see there is an opportunity on the field to take a kill, you will be surprised how much Storm is good with a little boost.

Slowly back up when you use your ult to stay alive. The longer you live more chances are that fight is gonna go your way.
