Biography
The traumas and the hardships this mutant endured made him unbreakable as the steel he manipulates, but also callous and vengeful. It is hard to define Erik as good or bad, but he is an elemental force. He is Magneto.
Honing his intellect, concentration, and mutant abilities to their maximum potential, Magneto has changed his world forever. He attempted to gather mutants of his planet and teleport them into the future, but he is currently a force to be reckoned with on this entangled battlefield.

Normal Attack (Left Click): Iron Volley – Fire a volley of magnetic orbs forward. Good damage with a decent range.

Meteor M (Q) – Draw in matter and projectiles and forge a massive iron meteor, delivering damage to the targeted area upon impact. It can be used to escape large amounts of incoming damage. No matter how you use it, you should always be in front of the enemy team. It can also break if you take to much damage.

Metallic Curtain (LShift) – Shield. Great for preventing big incoming damage. It can also block instant-kill ultimate abilities like Iron Man’s or Scarlet Witch’s by turning it towards the way of incoming damage!

Metal Bulwark (E) – Conjure a metal shield around a chosen ally. Damage taken will transform into rings on Magneto’s back. Good for saving teammates from burst damage, especially useful for giving allies enough protection to finish casting an ultimate. Perfect ability to use on dive heroes such as Venom, or melee heroes like Black Panther as it gives them more time and protection from incoming CC.

- Iron Bulwark (F) – Conjure an iron shield on himself. Sometimes you need to save yourself from melee dmg that your LShift can’t protect and sometimes you just go deep. It has the same stats as Metal Bulwark.
Mag-Cannon (Right Click) – Convert the iron rings on Magneto’s back into a Mag-Cannon and launch a metallic mass forward. Higher stacks of rings increase damage, and full stacks Knock Back enemies. Also, perfect as a last-bullet option when you need to reload!

- Metallic Fusion (C) – Team Up Ability – Scarlet Witch can infuse Chaos Energy into Magneto to enchant his greatsword. Upon receiving the Chaos Energy, Magneto can unleash its full force, striking down enemies with his enchanted greatsword.
Strengths
He is a great peeler as he has a bubble shield that makes some heroes, such as Venom, very annoying. You can also protect your supports from enemy dives. For example, when Black Panther marks your support and you shield him, you not only save your healer, but you also make Black Panther an easy target to pick off.
If you have your shield available, you also have the ability to save your almost entire team from game-changing ultimate abilities, such as Iron Man’s or Scarlet’s. All of this makes Maneto a tank that can be played in any team composition!
Weaknesses
Lack of movement abilities can be a problem sometimes.
Counters
Iron Man, Storm, Wolverine, Magik
Keeping the distance and being high in the air can be a problem because Magneto weapon doesn’t have that much range, but still, you do so much in front, that your team has time and space to do anything.
The best thing you can do against Iron Man is a shield, which would also protect you and your team against his ult.
Against Storm Ult, you just use a bubble, preferably on one of your squishes because it’s a low chance that she can kill you.
Synergy
Magneto is so good that he can be played in literally any team composition, while he probably shines alongside characters that can make great use of his bubble once they get into the enemy backline (Venom, Black Panther, Magik…)
Tips and Tricks
If you are facing a dive composition, make sure to pay attention to your backline, as a well-timed bubble on your Strategist can ruin enemies’ plans!
If you have a duo or you see your teammate jumping in the enemy backline, the bubble will give him a short protection from incoming CC!
The shield (LShift) can protect you and your team from different ultimates that can one shot you.
Use your ult in front of your enemy to gather charge faster, but also escape damage.
His Ultimate is one of the best for countering defensive ults because it can one shot, but watch out some of them need a bit more charge than the others.
