Abilities
Normal Attack (Left Click): Mystical Missile –Fire Mystical Missiles to heal allies or deal damage to enemies. Don’t forget your damage is not weak at all.
- God of Mischief (Q) – Shapeshift into a targeted ally or enemy hero and use all the hero’s abilities. An ability that can help you swing the odds of a fight in your favor as whenever you shapeshift into another hero, you will have instant access to its ultimate. It’s so good because it’s very flexible, when you feel like your team has low hp and is gonna die, you just switch to Luna, use her ult, and there you go, you saved them all. If your tank is having a problem pushing, you switch to Magneto or whatever tank you are playing against, and free push instantly. You are getting chased by an annoying enemy duelist, so you just switch to another one, ult him really quickly, and bam fight is won.
- Regeneration Domain (LShift) – Use Rune Stones to create a magical field that converts damage taken by allies within its radius into healing energy. This ability will save not only yourself but also your teammates from numerous abilities that deal huge damage! Remember that your clones do the same thing so sometimes you can cover huge area with it.
- Doppelganger (E) – Project an illusion that can cast some of Loki’s abilities. Can be used to quickly position a clone near an ally that’s about to take a ton of damage and save him by using your Regeneration Domain.
- Devious Exchange (F) – Swap position with the selected illusion. This ability makes Loki one of the most elusive heroes in the game. It’s so good to make your enemies lose sight of you, They will feel like in the mirror room, never knowing which one is real. Also, they will spend time and abilities on basically nothing leaving you more space. Loki can use clones to reposition quickly too.
- Backstab (V) – Pull out a dagger to stab enemies, dealing extra damage when attacking an enemy from behind. To be honest this is a rarely used ability but one more weapon for the trickster.
- Deception (Right Click) – Become invisible and conjure an illusion to deceive enemies. Besides leaving an illusion behind, you will also regenerate Hit Points while invisible! It feels like a great Trickster indeed, he is always one step ahead of you. Just when you think after all those clones and confusion you finally have them, he just fulls you again. But be careful, characters da doo splash damage like Iron Man can easily discover you because you can’t go far from the illusion that fast.
- Laufeyson Reborn (Passive) – Team Up Ability – When Hela lands a final hit in defeating an enemy, she can instantly resurrect Loki in the respawn phase. If Loki is alive, a Nastrond Crow will fly to him, granting blue armor. You just cant kill him that’s the point.
Strengths
Loki is a true jack-of-all-trades as he can not only dish out a lot of healing in a short amount of time but also do a ton of damage with his clones, as well as by shapeshifting into a Duelist with his ultimate. He can also shapeshift into defensive Strategists such as Mantis and Luna Snow who have great defensive ultimate!
His biggest thing is that he wastes so much of the enemy’s time dealing with all of his tricks and he creates so much space by doing so.
Weaknesses
Can be quickly picked off if his clones aren’t well-positioned and his Deception ability is on cooldown because he is not that hard to hit.
Team-Ups
Once Loki is teamed with Hela he gets to be an even more of a menace as he is allowed to play more aggressively with Bonus Armor that Hela grants him. On rare occasions when Loki is picked off, he can be brought back to life by Hela, making this duo incredibly hard to deal with.
Synergy
Loki should have no problems fitting into any team composition, while Vanguards that hold positions well work the best for him as they allow Loki to poke from safety, while also having no problems topping off his teammates!
Counters
Hela, Star Lord
Because his movement depends only on his clones, when she finds out which is the real one, Hela doesn’t have trouble hitting your head at all.
While Hela is a pain from the front, Star Lord is his weakness from the flank. Star Lord can easily figure out which one is real and not waste that much ammo, and also is hard to get away from him because he has a lot of movement abilities so it doesn’t make him a problem to waste some on clones, and on top of that Loki is very easy to aim track because he has no movement abilities.
Tips and Tricks
Keep an eye out for incoming threats and use your ultimate ability accordingly.
Make sure to not group your clones in one position as you will have problems fleeing once focused.
Save your Regeneration Domain for abilities that can do a huge amount of damage quickly!
Always try to fool your enemies by repositioning.
