Biography

Eddie Brock was a loser. Venom was an alien loser. Together, the duo might just turn their negatives into a single positive. The symbiosis of these entities cannot be easily classified as good or bad, but they fight for what’s right when it counts.

This Venom is the one Spider-Man once wore then rejected so it bonded with Eddie, who also despised Peter Parker. Now, in this timeline, Venom had a glimpse of the horrible future that awaits and must now fight alongside his sworn enemy to prevent it.

Abilities

Normal Attack (Left Click): Dark Predation – Unleash tentacles forward to attack enemies. It has a critical hit so try to aim at the head as you will be well-rewarded!

Frenzied Arrival (F) – Dash to the target location from a certain height. Upon landing, damage nearby enemies, knocking them back toward the landing point. Ability that’s perfect for both, engaging and disengaging as it allows you to close distance quickly! It is usually used in combination with Venom Swing or Wall Climb!

Cellular Corrosion (Right Click) – Unleash tentacles to Slow enemies within reach. Enemies unable to break free in time will suffer damage. Once you knock enemies up with Frenzied Arrival, you should use this ability instantly as it will let you finish your target quicker and easier!

SPECIAL EFFECT	Tendrils apply a 15% Slow on the target and take 3s to inflict damage. If the distance from Venom exceeds 11m, the tendrils will detach

Symbiotic Resilience (E) – Generate Bonus Health against damage. The lower Venom’s Health, the greater the Bonus Health generated. This ability is one of Venom’s strongest tools as it will make you feel like you have an infinite health pool. Since you should delay this ability for as long as you can in order to get a higher health bonus, make sure to not use it too late as it still has a short cast time, which means that if you get stunned you will most likely die!

Venom Swing (LShift) – Launch webbing forward, allowing for a singular swing in the desired direction. Even though you will usually use this ability to engage, it is also as good, if not even better in helping you escape. Don’t forget to turn off auto-swing in options as once you can control this ability yourself it will be way more useful since you won’t get stuck in a tight choke, or, you will simply be able to cross the short distance, which isn’t really possible with auto-swing.

Feast of the Abyss (Q) – Burrow underground for free movement. After a duration or by pressing the Left Click to devour enemies above and generate Bonus Health. Another ability that will help you live longer and frustrate the enemies even more, as they will need to pay attention to you, which is what Tank is all about!

Alien Biology (Passive) – Press Space to wall crawl, and, while crawling, press Left Click to sprint. Keep this ability in mind at all times as it can allow you to wait for enemies on high walls, which will help you make an ambush for the enemies since the game is in the third person, which means you will usually get to see them before they see you! As you can activate your F ability from height instead of using your Venom Swing, you will be able to save this ability as an escape tool which is a lot safer!

• Touch of Klyntar (Passive) – Team-Up Ability – Venom shares a part of his symbiotes with Spider-Man and Peni Parker, activating their symbiote abilities. Spider-Man and Peni Parker can convert the symbiotes into explosive spikes that inflict harm on nearby enemies and relentlessly drive them back.

Strengths

Venom fits like a glove within dive compositions thanks to his incredible mobility. On top of that, his Team-Up with Spider-Man on a team makes these two a force to be reckoned with. He is extremely annoying and easy to peel enemy strategists away from the rest of their team as he can avoid a team fight completely. On top of that, he also has a lot of tools to stay alive, as well as a fast disengage. If you follow Venom with a duelist you will realize how much space he actually creates!

Weaknesses

Venom is really vulnerable to crowd control abilities which some strategists have. Due to him being a huge punching bag, he is a very hard target to miss, which means that you should keep track of enemy cooldowns!

Counters

Mantis and Luna combo, Punisher, Iron Man

Because Venom is a big dog that likes to get in your face he is very easy to hit with the CC that Mantis and Luna have and after you become immobile you are just a punching bag.

To outplay them you need to try to bait their abilities before fully going in or wait until they use them on somebody else.

Punisher is a big problem especially when he has Racoon that can give him infinite ammo on his shotgun. It’s a devastating weapon for killing at close range where Venom wants to be.

To avoid getting burst by the Punisher try to catch him out of position or communicate with your teammate and dive him together it’s much easier to kill him that way. Move behind them making it difficult for him to aim.

Iron Man can also be tricky because he can be high in the air all the time and very hard to deal with. But you can try to avoid his line of sites and block his supports from healing him making Tony an easy target for your team.

Team-Ups

Once Venom is paired with Spider-Man, Peni Parker, or both, he will share a part of his symbiotes with them. They can then convert the symbiotes into explosive spikes that will deal damage to nearby enemies, helping them put pressure on their foes! Spidey is the one that truly shines in this duo as he basically gets a one-shot combo with this team-up!

Synergy

Venom is incredible in combination with any Duelist that can follow him in dives, while Magneto is probably the best Vanguard to pair with Venom as he can shield him and protect him from incoming crowd control when he engages. Hulk is also a decent Vanguard to play alongside Venom as he has a shield as well, plus, on top of that, they can both dive the backline together!

Tips and Tricks

Instead of using his core combo of Swing into F, use the Wall Climb ability to reach a position from where you can freely use Frenzied Arrival, which leaves you with Venom Swing as an escape tool, which will make you feel as if you can’t die.

Make sure to not press your Shield too late as, even though it gives you more HP the lower you are, you can also get CC’d in a bad moment and get burst down.

Try to peel enemy supports from the rest of their team, or attack squishy targets that are out of position or have used their escape tool, for instance, Hela once she uses her Shift ability should be your primary target. Not only will you relieve your team from Hela’s pressure, but you will also have an opportunity to secure a kill!
