Intro – This page is dedicated to all news regarding MSF, be it small updates, feature improvements, rumors, datamines, and big announcements. Make sure to keep checking this page regularly if you want to stay up-to-date with all things MSF.

The Thunderstrike Raid

The Stolen Thunder – Month 2 brings us Red Stars for Thunderstrike, but not for free! For Quasaar and Blastaar, we got special Scurges, but for Thunderstrike, we get a whole new Raid. The Thunderstrike Raid will be nothing like other Raids in-game. It will be a limited-time event, you won’t be able to heal your characters, and you won’t be able to SIM battles

This is a 6-day event with a solo and a global Milestone, and every alliance will get enough keys to launch it every 2 days. There will be two currencies that will power Milestones. From individual nodes, you get Skyforged runes, and from the bonus Boss nodes you get Boss Skyforged runes. It will feature 3 S.T.R.I.K.E. Teams with 8 lanes per team—one for each Commander.

These teams will be needed for the Thunderstrike Raid:

  • Harbinger
  • Conqueror
  • Stormbound
  • Quasar
  • Blastaar
  • Thunderstrike

Characters in this Raid can only be healed using Thunderstrike healing packs, and they won’t heal overnight.

Be prepared for this event to repeat more times and give better rewards in the future.

New Diamond upgrades!!!

In addition to 7 Red Stars and 3 Diamonds, we are getting new fourth and fifth-level Diamonds to upgrade the stats of our characters.
The power of all levels looks like this:

  • 7RS: +75%
  • 1D: +90%
  • 2D: +105%
  • 3D: +125%
  • 4D: +175%
  • 5D: +225%

Those big upgrades will be obtainable in three ways: Premium Events, Leaderboards, and really hard end-game content. At the release, of course, it won’t be available for F2P players, but only in premium Orbs.

One of those Orbs is The Radiant Diamond Orb. It will include the newest characters, except Legendary, Epic and Mythic characters. We will have a chance to obtain any level Diamond for each one of them. We will always pull fragments for the Radiant 5-Diamond Orb. That orb has a 100% drop chance for a fifth Diamond for a certain character. These orbs will only be available in events and leaderboards at the moment, meaning that the pay-to-win factor will be noticeable.

There are going to be ways to earn brand-new Diamond Orbs in the end-game content, which is going to be extremely challenging. Specific game mods will have featured Diamond Orbs as a reward for the highest difficulties. When you open a certain number of new Diamond Orbs, a level 5 Diamond will be guaranteed. For a duplicate Diamond 4, we will get 100 Silver Diamond Credits and for a Diamond 5, the reward will be 250 Silver Diamond Credits.

First character that can be equipped with Diamond 4 and 5 is no other than Old Man Logan. This will be possible in the limited-time event.

Annihilation Raid: Omega

This is the Raid with same traits as the Annihilation Raid, but stronger enemies, and an additional difficulty 10. On diff 10 we will need to use Immortal Weapons team.

On Omega Raids you can’t scale down your difficulty on individual nodes, also all nodes are needed for 100% Completion. There are two new nodes for the Mystic section.

In addition, there are some updates for Annihilation II Raid. The mystic node is moving to the end of the lane and Nightstalker missions now also allow the Immortal Weapons trait.

Race to Blue Marvel

In this Monthly Event we can earn Red Stars for Blue Marvel by playing Target: Blue Marvel.

Chapter 3 Store and Store Consolidation

The new chapter brings with it a pleasant change to the Store. All of us are familiar, all too well, with how much time we need to spend in the shop to buy all the character shards we need, or gear pieces, and are irritated by the process of going through different game mode stores. Although we have memorized the placement of every supply we need, as we wouldn’t be able to function in any other way, the developers are actually improving the shop and making our job a lot easier.

The new shop tabs will look like this:

  • Chapter Store
  • Main Store
  • Gear Store – with tabs for different Gear Tiers
  • Character Shard Store – with tabs to see which characters came from what Age
  • Special Items Store (War Boosts, L3 Training Module, and Awakened Abilities)
  • Elite Store
  • Iso-8 Store
  • Costume Store

The second interesting change is that all of the Orbs are getting changed, some are new, some relocated, and some removed.

For Orbs with character shards, developers have given them two categories:

  • Venture Orb: Focused on PvE characters (Raid and Battleworld)
  • Versus Orb: Focused on PvP characters (War, Cosmic Crucible, and Arena)

Each orb will have up to 30 different Character Shards. This also means that Raid Orbs and Blitz Orbs are getting removed and replaced by Venture and Versus Orbs.

For gear, we are also getting new Orbs. Those are:

  • Green Gear Orb – New
  • Blue Gear Orb – former  Blue Gear Raid Orb
  • Purple Gear Orb – former Purple Gear
  • Orange Gear Orb – former Orange Elite Orb
  • Teal Gear Orb – New

That also means that all Gear Orbs inside the War, Blitz, Crucible, and Ultra Stores are getting removed.

Some of the Orbs are getting relocated:

  • Gear Orbs in the Raid and Main Store → moved to the new Gear Store
  • Basic, Premium, Mega, Ultimus, and J.A.R.V.I.S. Orbs → moved to the new Character Store
  • Ability Material Orbs and the Training Orb → moved to the new Special Items Store

The Ultimus Orb has been reworked:

  • It will now only contain characters not featured in the Venture or Versus Orbs.
  • New characters who already entered the Chapter Store will first enter the Venture or Versus Orb for about one year before rotating into the Ultimus Orb.
  • When characters are reworked as part of recent team updates, they may temporarily move from the Ultimus Orb back into a Venture or Versus Orb during that same one-year window.

As there are no more Blitz and Raid Orbs, the rewards will be Shop Credits so you can buy the character shards you need.

Thunder and Lightning!

Two chapters of Age of Annihilus are soon behind us. The Annihilation wave is becoming a greater threat by the minute, and Nick Fury is turning to Asgard to ask for help. Two Legends, Quasar and Blastaar, and all other Heroes are getting a reinforcement. Blastaar’s coruler, Thunderstrike, responds personally to the call for help, joining the frontline to support the embattled Heroes and tip the balance of the fight.

He was once an ordinary human, but Thor himself deemed him worthy and bestowed upon him the power of a god, along with his beloved mace, Thunderstrike. Now, a man once known as Eric Masterson bears the name of his mace as his own and, along with Blastaar, proves to be a formidable asset against Annihilus.

Upgrade for Iso 8 and Blue Marvel

A new Hero comes to help in the fight for Nexus Earth. The Blue Marvel, forged of antimatter and heralds the new Purple Iso levels 4 and 5.

Once known as Adam Brashear, this brilliant scientist surpassed the limits of human knowledge and, in a reactor accident, was transformed into a being composed of antimatter. He acquired immense powers, becoming invulnerable and far stronger than any other being. He gained the ability to fly and manipulate antimatter. For a long time, he was hiding, but returned wiser and determined to defend Nexus Earth.

Blue Marvel will be a plug in character usefull in many of your teams.

As Scientist Supreme has achived a new succes in Iso-8 technology, now you will be able to upgrade your characters to Purple Iso-8 Level 4 and Level 5 using T3 Level 4 and T3 Level 5 Ions. Here are the upgrades:

Level 4: + 10% Max Health, Focus, Armor, Resistance
Level 5: + 30% Damage

Fortifier

New Arena Team

One extraordinary family is assembled to thrive in the Arena. They are familiar to all of us. The Fantastic Four (MCU) is a new team consisting of three new and two reworked characters. The Thing and Human Torch are already known to us, and they will be buffed, while Mister Fantastic (MCU), Invisible Woman (MCU), and Franklin Richards are new characters coming to MSF.

Mister Fantastic (MCU) is a man of the house, protecting the team and dealing damage.

Invisible Woman (MCU) attacks hard from stealth.

Franklin Richards is so powerful you could forget he was a child. He brings a new Negative Effect and Battlefield Effect to the game and manipulates effects on both sides.

Week 8 of The Quasar Event

Commanders will have a lot on their plate in the next few days.

As of June 23d, Satana becomes available, and there will be a new showcase, an Accursed Tower, Cosmic War (containing 25 shards for Songbird), The Harbinger Week 8 begins featuring Hellverine shards, and the Negative Zone is coming back. You will need five characters, and you will be able to obtain awakened abilities for Omega Red (Phoenix Force).

June 24th brings back the Battleworld and Mephisto Heist Event.

On June 25th, you will again be able to earn red stars for Quasar in the new Invasion Event: Quasar. Six red stars will be available.

And on June 26th, The Hood will become available in the Intel store.

The Danger Room Returns

We will again be allowed to test our strength in The Danger Room. Only this time, we will have The Accursed team instead of Starjammers. Some changes have been made. Points won’t be accumulated, only your highest run will count for milestones. Rental characters should be stronger, and danger room tokens will be easier to obtain. More info will be available on the Danger Room page when the mod is active again.

The Accursed

With the first month of the New Age ending, the next team is revealed to us. The Accursed! They consist of 2 reworked characters and three new and cursed ones. Their dark powers will strike fear into any foe in Cosmic Crucible, and with reworked Juggernaut and Mordo, they will make for a truly devilish team. Now, introducing the cursed ones:

  • Satana – Demon’s daughter, supports her team by stealing the HP of enemies and redirecting it to her allies with her Curse of Health Steal.
  • Hellverine – Once a man, emboldened by a thirst for vengeance, bonded himself with a demon. He curses enemies with his Curse of Exposed.
  • The Hood – Dormmamu himself hexed this mystic villain. The enemies shall feel his Curse of the Accursed attack.

More info on characters will be available on their pages in doo time.

Quasars Red Stars

At the end of the first month of the Quasars chapter, everybody should have him at 4 Yellow Stars, so it seems it is time to get his Red Stars. That will be made possible by the Invasion Event: Quasar, which opens on May 27th at 2:00 PM (PDT). At launch, it will have 8 missions, with another 8 to come, 4 in June and 4 in July. With 10 different difficulties and a lot of combat mods, use your Vigilantes, Thunderbolts, and Quasar himself and earn milestone points and Quasar Red Stars alongside many rewards.

A New Game Mode

With Professor Xavier and S.T.R.I.K.E. teamed up, they have found the ultimate way to prepare your roster for anything. They made the Danger Room. A new game mode for you Commanders to experience roguelike gameplay and make critical choices. It will activate once per month and allow you to try out new characters. Every run will be unique and grant many rewards if you prove yourself good enough. More info on the Danger Room is on its page.

The Age of Annihilus has started

As we entered May and its first few days passed, the new threat became clearer. Professor Xavier feels some mysterious brainwaves and every commander (level 25+) will be advised to help him investigate.

At 2:00 PM (PDT) on May 5th this is what you should expect:

  • Silver Sable Battle Pass
  • Enter the Age of Annihilus
  • The Harbinger Month 1
  • The Harbinger Week 1
  • Stolen Thunder
  • Red Justice

And on May 8th at 2:00 PM (PDT) you more experienced commanders will be able to earn a new costume for Xavier through the Psychic Cataclysm.

The Age begins and the first Showcase..

It is closer every day. On May the fifth a New Age begins. Annihilus has his eyes centered on Nexus Earth. The first team that will help you annihilate Bio Raid lanes is going to be the Thunderbolts, and the first showcase is going to be for Victoria Hand. She will provide healing, and recharge all of her Thunderbolt allies. Her showcase will work the same as all others, with two chapters in it. In the first one you will get a team of thunderbolts and all five missions will grant you rewards, and the second chapter will have a requirement of yellow stars for a character that the showcase is for.

Currency conversion and Intel

On May 22nd most of your currencies will be converted to Intel. They will be converted in a given ratio:

  • Blitz Credits – 1:4
  • Gear Credits – 5:1
  • Arena Credits – 1:4
  • Raid Credits – 1:2
  • Elite Raid Credits – 1:2
  • War Credits – 1:2.2
  • Elite War Credits – 1:3
  • Cosmic Crucible Credits – 1:2

Beginning in May there will be many changes. From the first to the 22nd, you should expect the following.

  • Sources of existing Mode currencies will change over to Intel.
  • Sources of existing Gear Credits will change over to Shop Credits, not including existing First-Time rewards.
    • NOTE: You won’t be able to spend Shop Credits yet, but you can still spend older currencies in the existing shops if you choose to do so

May 5th

  • Intel Store officially launches alongside Chapter 1 content

  • Achievements for spending Blitz, Arena, and Raid credits will be removed from the game, and new Achievements will take their place at a later date.

There will be a big Global Event and the main reward will be Intel. It will begin on the 2nd of May.

Intel store will be a place where everything you need to progress in the First Chapter is going to be available to you. Materials for highest gear tiers, T4 ability materials and L4 training modules, diamonds, ISO-8, and most importantly, new character shards.

Updated Events

In the future MSF events will be simplified and more productive by extended usage of the Command Center. There will be daily, weekly, and monthly objectives. Milestones like Golden Opportunity, World Warrior, and Save the World will be made into objectives in the Command Center, and you will still earn power cores, T4 ability materials, and everything else. Events will grant you intel, the main currency of the first Chapter in the Age of Annihilus. Milestones will look like this:

  • Global Milestones: Engage with the entire player community to unlock rewards together.
  • Alliance Events: Team up with your Alliance to earn rewards.
  • Leaderboard Events: Climb up the ranks and win exclusive Diamonds for featured characters, rare Gear Tier 20 items, and other rewards.
  • Super Deal Events: Play the game to progress through the event and earn a super deal on valuable rewards like Gear Tier 20 and Training Modules.

For the first chapter, every month you will be able to get Quasar shards through the Command Center, all you will need is to have a strong daily play and do your daily, weekly, and monthly objectives.

Thunderbolts

Have no fear, Thunderbolts are here. Well, that is if they are on your side. The first new team in the Age of Annihilus consists of 5 lethal characters, three new ones, and two reworked characters. Them being the Taskmaster, Ghost, Songbird, Victoria Hand, and Hyperion. They do not mind being liked or hated, they are there to be efficient and get the job done. Stay tuned for more info on their abbilites and strengths.

First Legend in Age of Annihilus

The first Legend to stand in the way of Annihilus is the Quantum Legend himself. The first one of three legendary characters that will be essential for defending against the Lord of the Negative Zone. His name is Quasar.
A former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Wendell Vaughn, proved himself worthy of wielding the Quantum Bands, old and mighty cosmic artifacts. With them, he achieved unnatural abilities like traveling at the speed of light, manipulating quantum energy, surviving in space, and creating quantum constructs. He became Protector of the Universe, Quasar.

To unlock Quasar all you will need to do is just play daily and do objectives in the command center. The plan is to unlock him by the end of the first month and have 7 stars for him by the end of the chapter. Even if you don’t get him in the first chapter, there will be events in the second chapter to fully unlock him, so don’t worry.

Soon on our character page, you will be able to see all his abilities and all the new stuff he brings to the game.

The Age of Annihilus-new shop system

As you already know, a new shop system is coming to the game. All currencies from all game mods will be merged into one main currency, the supply credits. That should help shop management be easier. With the supply credits also comes a new supply shop.

Currencies that will be converted are:

  • Blitz Credits
  • Gear Credits
  • Arena Credits
  • Raid Credits
  • Elite Raid Credits
  • War Credits
  • Elite War Credits
  • Cosmic Crucible Credits
  • Elite Cosmic Crucible Credits

The conversion of the currencies will be adjusted so that you don’t lose anything since different shops have items of different values. Also, all players will get a bonus amount of supply credits at the beginning, so everyone will continue with more than they had. For now, all shop tabs will stay the same, but they may be changed or differently organized.

There is even more. Every chapter of the age will have its intel shop. Those shops will be packed with new characters and teams, and are made to make your progress in the fight against Annihilus easier. And intel, the currency that will be used in shops, will be earned just by playing the game. Do your daily tasks, and play all game mods, and you will have intel in abundance. When the chapter ends, leftover intel will be turned into legacy currency.

The Age of Annihilus

Commanders, get yourself prepared! A new age of MSF is coming! The Lord of the Negative Zone is coming to Nexus Earth bringing annihilation with him. And with him begins a new multi-Chapter adventure. To face Annihilus, commanders will need to recruit three Legends.

But first, you need to know who is your enemy. Annihilus has insectoid origins and comes from deep and twisted parts of the Negative Zone. Gaining a lot of power with the Cosmic Control Rod, including the ability to extend his lifespan forever, the only thing he cares for is domination. He commands a large army and has already launched invasions on some worlds, but now he is declaring war on the multiverse and Nexus Earth is the pinpoint of the battle.

In a new age, your journey will be split up into four chapters and each one will last for three months. In the first three chapters, you will be able to recruit the new three legendary characters. With them on your side, your journey will come to an end in an open battle with Annihilus himself. New legendary characters will all be very strong themselves and won’t belong to a specific team at first, but with Annihilus at the end, they will combine to make a very strong team. All three new legendary characters will be unlocked just like Lillandra was, and you will be able to get all 7 stars just by playing daily.

You will need to look out for monthly Character and Team releases because they will be crucial for earning resources to upgrade the Legendary Characters. Another great news is that there is going to be a new shop containing shards for each new team.

Just like in the past Age, Scourges and Trials will still play an important role in each Chapter. You will meet with many challenging combat puzzles and string enemy combos, so prepare your rooster and your mind.

Shards for Legendary characters will be available periodically after each Chapter ends, so you will be able to get them even if you don’t hit 7 stars in one chapter.

New Patch 9.0

The Overpower progression system is coming soon to the game. All characters will advance through this system by gaining Levels, Gear Tiers, and Iso-8 Levels. Currently, the maximum level is 11. A character will reach Overpower Level 11 if they have Gear Tier 20, Character Level 105, and Purple Iso-8 Level 3.

Investing in characters will become increasingly important. Overpower levels do not directly enhance a character’s abilities, but they do provide advantages over characters with lower Overpower Levels. For instance, if you attack a character that is 1 Overpower Level lower than your own, your character will receive a +50% boost to Damage and Focus, and will automatically win ties in Speed Bar or Speed Stat calculations. This means that if two characters have the same Speed Stat or if their Speed Bars are equally filled, the character with the higher Overpower Level will act first. These advantages primarily apply to PVP scenarios.

New Chaos Raids will soon be introduced in the game, available to all players. There will be two different maps for these Chaos Raids: Chaotic Storm and Chaotic Storm (Omega).

The Chaotic Storm map will only launch with default difficulty. Each Strike Team will have 8 lanes, allowing each player to manage their own lane. These Raids will replace Ultimus Raids and are designed for players at level 20 and above who unlock this game mode. The lane-per-person design is intended to offer more rewards through nodes rather than through completion. This makes it an ideal map for Alliances that may not have all 24 members or have lower-level participants.

Chaotic Storm will also include an individual lane difficulty selector (IRD). Players can choose the difficulty for each node, including Boss nodes in the Chaotic Storm raids. Each node will offer four difficulty levels: Normal, Hard, Harder, and Hardest. Before starting each node, players can select their desired difficulty level. While the opponents in the nodes remain the same, their power will increase based on the chosen difficulty. If players fail to complete a node, they can reset it and select an easier difficulty. However, it’s important to note that any damage dealt to characters during a failed attempt will remain (unless it is retreat), meaning players cannot use characters that died unless they are healed.

When you select a difficulty for the first node you play, that difficulty will remain linked to all subsequent nodes. This means you won’t need to select a difficulty for each node individually, but you will have the option to change the difficulty for each node as desired.

Chaotic Storm (Omega) is a streamlined version of the Raid designed for higher-level Alliances in the endgame. At the beginning, the leadership team selects the difficulty level. The rewards for completing this version are more generous, meaning players will receive more completion rewards compared to node rewards, the opposite of the Chaotic Storm Raid map.

In this setup, each normal node will be locked based on the chosen difficulty. However, Boss nodes can have their difficulty adjusted based on the same principles used in Chaotic Raid. A new feature in both Raid maps is that Boss nodes are now optional. Completing them is not necessary for finishing the Raid, but doing so will yield additional rewards.

There will be a Boss node in each section available for each member of the Alliance. It’s important to note that, as previously mentioned, the completion of Boss nodes will not impact progress in the overall Raid completion.

Chaotic Storm (Omega) Requirements:

  • Default – No Restrictions
  • Diff 1 – Traits
  • Diff 2 – Green Iso Level 5
  • Diff 3 – Blue Iso Level 3
  • Diff 4 – Purple Iso Level 1
  • Diff 5 – Purple Iso Level 3

So for Difficulty 5 we will need to have teams/characters with Purple Iso Level 3.

Chaotic Storm Raids begin on March 27th.

Global Milestones – In these Events, all players in the MSF game will collaborate to achieve specific Milestones. Please note that the developers will soon introduce several test Global Milestones for everyone to experience. These test milestones will not offer significant rewards; instead, they will feature more symbolic rewards. In the Milestone section, all events marked with a Global tag are considered Global Milestones.

The Command Center will serve as a central hub for all ongoing Events in the MSF game. This will provide players with a better overview and insight into everything happening and their progress.

Finding Xavier

GT20 will be added to the game on March 17th, allowing players to collect GT20 Mini Uniques and upgrade their characters to T20.

The Finding Xavier Event starts on April 14th, giving players the chance to recruit Professor X. This event features over 50 missions, and to complete it, players will need a total of 25 GT20 characters, which includes:

  • 5 City Characters
  • 5 Global Villain Characters
  • 5 Global Hero Characters
  • 5 Cosmic Villain Characters
  • Lilandra + 4 Cosmic Hero Characters

This Event, whether referred to as a Saga or Dark Dimension, will consist of four major parts. Each part will contain multiple missions, including Boss missions, and they will all be available on three different difficulty levels: Hard, Heroic, and X-Treme.

To recruit Professor X, players must complete all the missions at each difficulty level with a score of 3 Stars.

The four bosses in this event are Nimrod, Gladiator, Shadow King, and Dark Xavier.

  • More details to come as we approach the event

Age of X: Lilandra kicks off on February 14th

Age of X: Lilandra

A new character that we can expect soon is Lilandra, a member of the Starjammers team. What makes her unique is that players will be able to recruit her for free, and possibly even earn 7 Yellow Stars for her. We’ll see how that unfolds.

Shortly, there will be a special multi-week event where players can unlock Lilandra through various game modes. This will be the only opportunity to recruit her, as her Shards will not be available for purchase during this time.

Our mission will be to collect as many M’kraan Crystal Fragments as possible. M’kraan Crystals will contribute to the Age of X: Lilandra Milestone, which rewards character shards for Lilandra. She unlocks at 3 Stars, and players can earn up to 7 Yellow Stars by maintaining high engagement throughout the event.

We can get M’kraan Crystals from the following Events:

  • Play Cosmic Crucible Events
  • Participate in the Starjammer Showcase (details coming soon)
  • Join additional upcoming events

Additionally, we will be able to collect Red Stars for Lilandra from the Battle Pass.

Most importantly: Lilandra will be one of the four big names we need to recruit Professor Xavier (along with Old Man Logan, Shadow King, and Odin).

Temporary Changes to Alliance War

Changes are coming to the Alliance War, and according to the developers, these updates will make this game mode more engaging for many players.

In the upcoming War season, titled “Tea Party,” they will be testing new team synergy bonuses.

Here are the new global rules, and they would love to hear our feedback on them:

  • The number of Wars per week will be reduced from 3 to 2. The third War of the week will be eliminated.
  • Rewards that would have been earned from the third War will instead be redistributed into a milestone for the duration of this season.

As you can see, the most significant change is the reduction of Wars from 3 to 2 per week.

The next War Season begins on February 9th. You can view the new rules on our Alliance War Team Counters page.

Version 8.6 Release Notes

New this Release

  • Duplicate Red Stars and Diamonds received in bulk will now be converted and messaged in a single pop-up, instead of individually.
  • Additional devices now have access to higher rendering mode (60fps). To activate, go to Settings >> Advanced Settings >> “Enable higher rendering mode”

Bug Fixes

  • Ultimus’s arm laser visual effect for his Special Ability, “Void Blast,” lost its intensity during the graphics update. Ultimus’s arm laser is now very very intense.
  • Phoenix disappeared from the battlefield shortly after using her Ultimate Ability, “Phoenix Force.”
  • Returning to a character’s screen after equipping them with an alternate costume resulted in the character not appearing.
  • Cycling between characters using the left and right arrows after selecting a character from the Squad Tab on the roster screen was not correctly cycling between characters of the same squad.
  • Last Activity messages in Alliance Chat were reappearing on the Home Screen, instead of switching back to the General Chat.
  • The Search Filter was disappearing and not functioning correctly after tapping on the screen while typing in a search term.
  • Raids were still visible in the Raid Auto Launch Scheduler even though they were no longer able to be scheduled.
  • Battleworld Victory Point amounts on the landing screen weren’t matching the Victory Point amounts on the Season Leaderboard.
  • Enemy stats were incorrect on Battleworld Mission Info tabs after selecting a higher difficulty.

Cosmic Crucible 32 Matchmaking Issues Update

The developers have finally acknowledged the matchmaking issues in Crucible Ultimate 32 and have taken several steps to compensate players affected by this error:

  1. Players will receive compensation for missed weekly rewards and season rewards from this season.
  2. Compensation will also be provided for points missed in the Mental Mastery Event.
  3. Points missed in the Omega Training Event will be compensated based on your Yellow Star progression for Jean Gray, calculated as of Friday, January 31, at 1:00 PM PST, when the first Ultimate 32 Tournament concludes.

They will soon send out a calendar to all players who qualify for Cosmic Crucible, along with materials to help players continue leveling up.

Additionally, the developers have identified an issue regarding the efficiency scoring, which currently does not adjust for six attack attempts per room. However, they have decided to leave it as is, as a fix may not be feasible. Ultimate 32 will be extended to continue next week, and during that second week, the efficiency scoring will be addressed. The leaderboard for the new season will start in the second week of Ultimate 32.

Level 105

The maximum level in the game will soon increase from 100 to 105. To celebrate this change, there will be a new Milestone where players can earn rewards by leveling up their characters to levels 101 to 105. We experienced a similar event when the level cap was raised from 95 to 100.

It’s important to note that among the prizes in this Milestone will be Red Stars for Omega Red (Phoenix Force). So, make sure to prepare by stockpiling Training Materials, Gold, and various Energies, as the new Level Cap is approaching quickly.

Phoenix Force and new Kyln

The Phoenix Force is an announced team that currently has two members, and will gain a new member each year, similar to the Undying team. The Phoenix Force will specialize in the Cosmic Crucible. The team consists of a reworked Phoenix and a new Epic character, Omega Red (Phoenix Force). Players will be able to collect shards for Omega Red in the upcoming Kyln Tower mode, expected to launch in the second half of January.

It is crucial to collect as many Character Shards as possible for Omega Red (Phoenix Force), as, like other Epic characters, his availability will be extremely limited. If rumors are true, end-game free-to-play players should be able to gather enough shards for 4 Yellow Stars.

Additionally, it has been announced that Jean Gray and Hercules will be exceptionally powerful in the forthcoming Kyln Event. The Kyln Event will feature 20 stages, with the last 4 stages requiring Purple L3 Iso-8.

The requirements for each stage are as follows:

  • Stages 1-10: None
  • Stage 11: A-Force, Iso-8 Green L3
  • Stage 12: X-Men, Iso-8 Green L3
  • Stage 13: Avengers, Iso-8 Green L3 (providing enough shards for 2 Yellow Stars for Omega Red)
  • Stage 14: A-Force, Iso-8 Blue L3
  • Stage 15: X-Men, Iso-8 Blue L3
  • Stage 16: Avengers, Iso-8 Blue L3 (providing enough shards for 3 Yellow Stars for Omega Red)
  • Stage 17: A-Force, Iso-8 Purple L3
  • Stage 18: X-Men, Iso-8 Purple L3
  • Stage 19: Avengers, Iso-8 Purple L3
  • Stage 20: Avengers or X-Men, Iso-8 Purple L3 (providing enough shards for 2 Yellow Stars for Omega Red)

New characters from Absolute A-Force, Immortal X-Men, and Uncanny Avengers will be valuable, as they are expected to be the best choices for these stages.

You will have the opportunity to read more about all of this on our Kyln page once the event is officially announced and we have more information, such as details about the opponents and their power.

According to the announcements, the Phoenix Force will be an exceptionally strong team for both offense and defense in the Crucible. They will possess unique characteristics that enable them to effectively pair with a variety of strong characters, ensuring they can match up against nearly every opponent. You will be able to read more about them on our Phoenix Force team page as soon as we have official information available.
