Mighty Tower: Blade

VIDEO ADVERTISEMENT

Intro

Get ready for an exciting new challenge—the search for the next Mighty character is about to kick off! Soon, you’ll have your first opportunity to collect Blade (Mighty) character shards through a unique event: the Mighty Tower.

Over the course of a full month, you’ll be able to test the strength and variety of your roster. Each week, new Tower floors will open, letting you advance further and earn even greater rewards. Dedicated players who keep pushing forward will have the best shot at adding one of the Age’s most formidable fighters to their collection.

Blade (Mighty) plays a central role on the Amazing Avengers Raid Team, making him a valuable addition to any player. By climbing the Tower and reaching milestone goals, you can gather Blade (Mighty) shards and boost his power as you progress.

For the first time ever, the Mighty Tower event will be available nonstop for an entire month. This gives you plenty of time to strategize, build your roster, and climb as high as possible as more floors become available each week.

Don’t miss out on this chance to strengthen your roster and recruit a powerful new character!

Tower Rules

This event features three difficulty levels for every floor of the Tower:

  • Mighty Tower: Blade (Normal)
  • Mighty Tower: Blade (Hard)
  • Mighty Tower: Blade (Omega)

Depending on how strong and deep your roster is, you can choose the path that suits you best.

Unlike previous Tower events, there are no tower-wide combat mods in Mighty Tower: Blade. Instead, this Tower is built around a single required trait: Tower Challenger I.

The Mighty Tower is made up of 24 floors, but only 6 will be available at first, with 6 new floors unlocking in each week of the event.

When you defeat a floor, the characters you used will enter a cooldown. The character cooldown resets (characters become usable again):

  • Upon completion of Floors 6, 12, and 18
  • When the next set of floors unlock.

Here’s how it works:

  • Three levels of difficulty (Normal, Hard, and Omega)
  • 24 floors in total
  • 6 floors open each week
  • Each Cell on a floor has Tower Challenger I trait requirements
  • You’ll send a team of 5 characters into every battle

You’ll need to make smart choices with your roster for each room, because after you win, the team you used will go on cooldown until the next set of floors is released. All players get a reset at the same time, so every win and every roster decision counts toward how far you can climb.

If you want to try again or take a different approach, you can reset your Tower progress at any time. This lets you replay floors, and all your characters on cooldown will become available again.

One important note: Health and abilities for both your team and the enemies reset before every mission, so you always start with full health and ability energy.

To succeed, you can:

  • Strategically save your best teams for the toughest floors
  • Reset your progress and try a new tactic if you need to

Whether you focus on climbing as far as possible in one go or try different strategies with resets, the Mighty Tower rewards players who can adapt and make smart decisions.

Floors Requirements

All 24 Cells require the “Tower Challenger I” trait. You can see which characters have this trait in the image provided below.

Each week, 6 new Cells will become available, and at that point, cooldowns will reset. This means you’ll be able to use the same characters you used in the previous 6 Cells again. There are no special rules—restrictions from War, Crucible, Arena, or Raid won’t apply here. Now, let’s take a look at which characters are available with this trait.

Among full teams, we have:

  • Symbiote Six
  • Shadow Conclave
  • Omen
  • Exalted X-Men

In addition, there are three Fantastic Four (MCU) characters: Franklin Richards, Invisible Woman (MCU), and Mr. Fantastic (MCU). We also have the trio of Quasar, Blastaar, and Thunderstrike; three New Mutants: Wolfsbane, Cannonball, and Warlock; three Starjammer characters: Lilandra, Havok, and Nova (Sam Alexander); and three Absolute A-Force characters: Kahhori, Ms. Marvel (Classic), and Moon Girl.

On top of that, there are several strong plug-and-play characters available, such as Annihilus (owned by very few players), Professor Xavier, Blue Marvel, Sentry, Apocalypse, Jeff the Land Shark, Eclipse, Darkstar, Emma Frost, Emma Frost (X-Men), Oath, Phantom Rider, and Rachel Summers. We also have Hulk and Spider-Man.

Each week, you’ll need to build six teams from this pool to take on the six new Cells. Since no special game modes or rules (like War, Crucible, Arena, or Raid) apply in this event, team-building will be an interesting puzzle. Don’t worry—we’ll always aim to recommend the most effective team setups, with a focus on options that are as free-to-play friendly as possible.

Rewards

Tower Milestones reward Tower Commendations, and each Commendation will earn progress toward weekly Commander Center Objectives, as well as the Sunwalker’s Fury Milestone.

The Sunwalker’s Fury rewards:

  • Blade (Mighty) character shards
  • Blade (Mighty) Red Stars and Diamonds

Video Guide

If you’re more of a visual learner, we have a handy Video Guide where you can see step-by-step how to handle each of the Cells.

Walkthrough

If your characters aren’t strong enough to withstand the opening attacks in Cell 1 or Cell 2, don’t hesitate to swap in Professor Xavier. He can prevent enemies from gaining Speed Up and stop their assists, making those Cells much more manageable. Professor Xavier isn’t needed for any of the next four Cells, so you can safely use him here if necessary.

Cell 1:

Suggested team: Havok + Lilandra + Nova (Sam Alexander) + Eclipse + Rachel Summers

For the first Cell, we brought in several strong characters, as listed above in the Suggested team section. The main objective here is to survive the initial assault from the enemy team, as all opponents will start the battle with Speed Up. Once your characters get a turn, you’ll need to take control and secure victory. In this Cell, you’ll be facing Wakandan characters.

Nova (Sam Alexander) is included to use Taunt and shield the rest of your team. Even if Nova, or even another teammate, falls during the first enemy attacks, the battle isn’t lost. In our video walkthrough, Nova (Sam Alexander) and Havok were both defeated early, but Eclipse, Rachel Summers, and Lilandra managed to turn the fight around. When it’s your turn, your primary target should be Shuri, followed by Okoye. Use all your abilities—there’s no need to hold back. Once these two opponents are eliminated, the rest of the encounter becomes much easier.

Cell 2:

Suggested team: Quasar + Blastaar + Thunderstrike + Kahhori + Moon Girl

In this Cell, we brought three Galactic Council characters. Quasar is especially important here because he grants Immunity at the start, which prevents the enemy Magneto from blinding your entire team by using his Ultimate.

Kahhori also works excellently alongside Blastaar—whenever she uses her Basic attack, Blastaar joins in and gains extra Charged stacks.

At the beginning, focus your attacks on the enemy Emma Frost (X-Men). Use Quasar’s Basic first so that, by Blastaar’s second turn, he’ll have all 5 Bomb Burst charges. When it’s Blastaar’s turn, use his Special to apply Ability Block to one of the opponents. With Thunderstrike, use the Ultimate. When Kahhori’s turn comes around again, use her Special to flip all positive effects on most enemies—many of them will have Speed Up, Defense Up, or Immunity. Use Moon Girl’s Ultimate, then Quasar’s Ultimate or Special, and Blastaar’s Ultimate (by now, he should have 5 Bomb Burst charges). This combination should be enough to wipe out most of the enemy team. The remaining opponents can be finished off with ease.

Cell 3:

Suggested team: Cannonball + Wolfsbane + Warlock + Jeff the Land Shark + Darkstar

For this Cell, it’s important to bring Darkstar and Jeff. The remaining three spots can be filled with New Mutant characters—Cannonball is especially useful thanks to his high Speed. You’ll be facing Symbiote enemies, and Gorr will immediately open with his Ultimate.

After Gorr’s attack, use Special abilities with both Cannonball and Jeff. Next, it’s Darkstar’s turn—use her Ultimate. These three moves will deal massive damage and apply a ton of debuffs to all enemies, very likely taking out some of them right away. You can finish off the remaining opponents with Wolfsbane’s Special and Warlock’s Ultimate. This is probably the easiest of the six starting Cells.

Cell 4:

Suggested team: Quicksilver (Symbiote) + Knull + Venom + Hulk + Spider-Man

For this Cell, we brought three Symbiote Six characters—Knull, Venom, and Quicksilver (Symbiote)—along with two additional characters. We chose Hulk and Spider-Man for the extra spots. The Symbiote Six team is key here: they prevent the enemy Nightstalker characters from gaining bonus Speed, and Quicksilver (Symbiote) can use his Ultimate to remove Revive Once from all enemies, which Dormammu applies at the start.

If you have all five Symbiote Six members, feel free to use the full team. We intentionally didn’t, to make this strategy accessible for players who might be missing some members.

At the start, use Knull’s Special to summon Carnage—this lets Knull fill his Speed Bar whenever an enemy drops into red HP. Target Black Knight first. Then, use Quicksilver (Symbiote)’s Ultimate. With your other characters, use any available abilities. Focus on eliminating enemies one by one: first take out the two Blade characters and Oath, then deal with the rest. Leave Dormammu for last.

Cell 5:

Suggested team: Franklin Richards + Invisible Woman (MCU) + Mr. Fantastic (MCU) + Apocalypse + Emma Frost

For this Cell, we bring three Fantastic Four (MCU) characters so that Franklin can remove all Charged effects from the enemy Iron Fist at the beginning of the battle with his Ultimate. We also include Apocalypse to prevent the opposing Emma Frost from reducing our Speed by 10%, and we bring our own Emma Frost to reduce enemy Speed and ensure our team takes turns before the opponents.

With this setup, the Cell is extremely easy—as long as your F4 (MCU) characters are strong enough. Right from the start, unleash all your Ultimate abilities with the three F4 (MCU) characters and Apocalypse. This should be enough to wipe out almost the entire enemy team. Clean up the remaining enemies without much trouble. Prioritize taking out Iron Fist and Jeff the Land Shark first, then focus on Emma Frost.

Cell 6:

Suggested team: Silver Surfer (Breaker) + Storm (Mighty) + Sentry + Emma Frost (X-Men) + Oath

For this Cell, we went in with heavy hitters—fast and powerful characters—alongside Oath, who boosts our team’s Speed Bar by 5%. Our primary target is Silver Sable. Start by using Storm (Mighty)’s Ultimate and the Special abilities of both Sentry and Silver Surfer (Breaker).

After taking down Silver Sable, use Emma Frost (X-Men)’s Special on Daredevil (Modern), and Oath’s Special on Hit-Monkey to apply Ability Block to both. Then, use all remaining abilities to finish off the rest of the enemies.

Conclusion

The first six Cells aren’t especially difficult, but players might have trouble deciding which characters to use where—and that’s where we come in. We intentionally avoided using Professor Xavier, Blue Marvel, Phantom Rider, anyone from the Shadow Conclave team, anyone from the Exalted X-Men team (except Storm (Mighty)), anyone from the Omen team (except Silver Surfer (Breaker)), as well as Toxin and Riot. We also didn’t use Annihilus because we do not have him. This is done because many players don’t have these characters upgraded or only have some of them upgraded.

We also recommend that if you manage to complete the Tower on Omega difficulty, you should do the same on Hard difficulty. This way, you’ll earn additional milestone points and collect enough Blade (Mighty) shards for 3 Yellow and 2 Red stars after the first week.
