Intro
Like in any other multiplayer game, there are gonna be some characters or team compositions that are stronger than the others. Nevertheless, my advice, especially for new and low-rank players, that means metal ranks (bronze, silver, gold, plat), is to not worry about meta and counters until you get to the diamond and above.
Learning a character’s abilities and positioning is far more important than which one to pick and when to switch. After you become a more advanced player and join the big league, then it’s time to think about which composition is stronger than the other.
Due to the 4-ban system in Dimond rank and higher, the meta is gonna shift a lot and it will depend on which characters are removed from the lobby.
Best Heroes
Strategists are still strong in Season 2.5, so playing 3 of them is again a good choice, just in a different setup. With a new addition to the game, Ultron, changing one Duelist or one Vanguard for him will make your games a lot easier. Duelsist players should learn how to play him for sure. Next to Ultron, the best backline are still Loki and Luna combo due to the broken Lunas Ultimate and the fact that Loki can copy it. Also, they both due massive amounts of heal and damage, and the trickster utility is insane.
The best Duelists at the moment are Storm and Hawkeye. Not that much because they are strong on themselves, but their team-ups are broken and very hard to counter. Hawk’s new frozen arrow that he gets from Luna snow makes him freezes everyone on its way, and it goes through every obstacle.
Jeff and Storm can now combine ults, making her tornado into Sharknado, eating everyone on its way making it very hard to play against.
Vanguards are a little more balanced, but Magneto is still the best and the most versitile option. He fits every comp perfectly, making him a safe pick.
Strange got a little buff, and the fact that he is good against long-range heroes that are meta makes him a good pick. His big shield can cover your team and give an advantage.
Actual Meta
In Marvel Rivals, you get four bans per match, so the strongest heroes are usually not played that much. In season 2.5, most banned heroes are Hawkeye, Storm, Luna, and that makes space for bench to show what its capable off.
Flying combo of Ultron, Iron Man, even Human Torch is very hard to deal with especially if you ban counters.
New Team Up of Peni and Rocket Raccoon on some close choke maps are very hard to deal with due the extra nest Peni gets.
Resurrection comp with Adam, Mantis, and Star Lord, with one more strategist in the team is still very strong.
Hela, like every season, is a very good and safe pick, and the fact that flying heroes are very strong, she has some chances to deal with them.
Punisher also got some buffs, making him charge his ultimate faster and create more pressure. Also he is easy to pick up, making him best flex pick up if u need one.
