Challenges Guides

Intro

One of the main goals of Marvel’s Midnight Suns is to maximize friendships with the residents of Abbey. On each level of Friendship, you will unlock new passive bonuses and abilities but when you maximize friendship on level 5 you will get the opportunity to claim the Legendary Abilities.

Legendary Abilities are powerful indeed, but you will have to prove yourself to get them. Each Hero will have a difficult test of their abilities before they can claim the ultimate praise.

For taking those tests you will have to upgrade your Forge and get the Challenges Tab. After that, every time you reach level 5 Friendship with any of your companions a new Challenge will appear. Each Challenge will have specific rules and specific goals which will unlock Legendary Ability once they are reached. Tasks are not easy, on the contrary, but I’m here to help you.

Below you can see all Challenges that I finished until now. Enjoy!

Hunter – “Child of Darkness”

Rules:

  • Infinite Card plays
  • Move and Redraw are disabled
  • Challenge is failed if the goal is not reached before the end of the turn or when all cards are used

Watch video HERE

In this Challenge, your goal is to destroy Crystal by Force kicking one of your enemies into it. You will have 4 “Charge” Cards at the start. There will be 3 Whisper of Memory mobs in the area. One of them will have another “Charge” card and of them will have a “Whip” card.

Basically, your goal is to kill mobs that guard additional cards and to move the remaining mob so it can be directed toward the Crystal with a “Whip” card. The solution is not obvious immediately, but a little knowledge of geometry will force you to reach the only possible conclusion and claim your reward.

“Bladestorm” Legendary Card proved to be one of the most important abilities in the entire game, so it is of utmost importance to collect it as soon as possible.

Blade – “Bare Fangs”

Rules:

  • Infinite Card plays
  • Move and Redraw are disabled
  • Challenge is failed if the goal is not reached before the end of the turn or when all cards are used

Watch video HERE

Blade’s challenge will set you in front of 3 Whisper of memories. 2 of them have 20 HP and hold 2 Cards. Whisper of Memory in the middle has 100 HP and guards Legendary Card.

In this Challenge, you will learn how to maximize Blade’s ability to exploit Bleed on targets. First, you will need to eliminate the mob that guards the “Make’em Bleed” card by combining the “Quick Strike” and “Relentless” Cards. After killing him and taking the card, your attacks will cause Bleed and you will get 2 more cards. New Cards will grant you chain attacks.

All chains should end up on the middle Mob, but the last chain should be left for the second mob – you only need 1 stack of Bleed to trigger additional damage from the second “Quick Strike” Card. Once you kill the second mob you will get the “Reaper” card that will instantly trigger all Bleeds (10 Bleeds in total) on the middle mob which will be enough for a kill.

The last mob will give you the Legendary “Glaive” Card. The “Glaive” card is extremely powerful, but it requires 4 Heroism. Knowing that Blade’s passive is almost useless, having the ” Glaive” card is mandatory for the efficient Blade.

Nico Minoru – “Black Shadows”

Rules:

  • Infinite Card plays
  • Move is disabled
  • 2 Redraws
  • Challenge is failed if the goal is not reached before the end of the turn or when all cards are used

Watch video HERE

In Nico’s Challenge, you will have 2 Redraws but the cards that you will get are fixed and always the same regardless of the Card which is picked for redraw. You will have to redraw the “Empower” card immediately to get another “Double Up” card. This one will double all your attack cards in the hand (the one you start with will double Heroic cards). Use both “Double Up” cards to get another “Witchstorm” and “Witchfire” card.

The second card that should be redrawn is definitely the “Blood Magic” card that grants Blood Magic buff. After redrawing, you will get the same card but this one will grant the Strengthened buff. Use that card instantly to increase your damage output and you will have 6 Heroism which will be enough for using all remaining cards in your hand.

First, use both “Witchstorm” cards but be sure to target mobs on the far left and far right. That way you will not split damage into 3 targets but only on 2 from both sides. After this, just use both “Witchfire” cards that will cause enough damage to kill one mob instantly which is needed to proc additional attacks. If you follow my instructions, all mobs will die, and you will get a “Crack the Sky” Legendary Card.

The “Crack the Sky” card has immense potential, but you will not use it often. The only way to make it useful is to use it when you have 8+ Heroism. Honestly, I never used this card except in the final combat when it turned the tide in my favor at the cost of 10 Heroism. Basically, it is a “Hail Marry” move which is actually in synergy with Nico’s power and personality.

Captain Marvel – “Hero’s Heart”

Rules:

  • Infinite Card plays
  • Move and Redraw are disabled
  • Challenge is failed if the goal is not reached before the end of the turn or when all cards are used

Watch video HERE

Captain Marvel’s Challenge seems simple, but it isn’t. You will have only 1 Mob that guards an “All In” card (grants offense according to your current Block) and a Crystal that has 170 HP.

The strategy is to Build up your Block as high as possible to get maximum bonus damage. Start with a “Quick Jab” and follow up with a “Cosmic Ray”. After that knock the mob toward the Crystal with “Fists of Radiance”. The third attack will spawn the “Go Binary” card. Use it immediately.

Once you have increased damage from Binary, you should start building your Block with “Knee Strike” to finish the mob (you will get 10 Block instead of 5, which is crucial for the mission’s success). After that use the “One Step Ahead” card and get 2 new cards (“Regroup” and another “Fists of Radiance”) along with the “All in” card from the mob. Use the “Regroup” card to increase the Block even further and after that transform all that Block into Offense with the “All in” card. You will stay with 2 cards in your hand – “Rain of Blows” and “Fists of Radiance” and with 5 Heroism.

At this moment, do not make a mistake by using “Rain of Blows” first, because you will not have enough heroism to use “Fists of Radiance”. That is why you should use “Fists of Radiance” first and “Rain of Blows” after that. It will be enough to destroy the Crystal which should not be possible if you decided otherwise.

By destroying the Crystal, you will get a “Supernova” Legendary card. That is a low-cost Legendary Card (2 Heroism) that causes moderate damage against all enemies in the Area. It is not as powerful as some other Legendary Cards but when it is used by Captain Marvel in Binary form, it can cause significant damage for a really low cost. Captain Marvel is one of the most efficient members of the Midnight Suns and she definitely needs “Supernova” to reach her full potential.

Iron Man – “Iron Will”

Rules:

  • Infinite Card plays
  • Move is disabled
  • 1 Redraw
  • Challenge is failed if the goal is not reached before the end of the turn or when all cards are used

Watch video HERE

In this Challenge, you will have only 1 Redraw and your goal is to generate as many cards as possible before using “Surgical Strike” which damage increases with each card in your hand.

There is only 1 way to do it. Redraw the “New Plan” card. You will get a “Leave it to me” Card which will grant you 2 more cards and 2 Heroism. At this moment do not use it because you want to use it twice (you can do it if you use “Precision” before). To do so you will need 2 Heroism so you will have to build it with a “Heads Up” card. When you have enough Heroism, use the “Precision” card which will prevent the next used card to be discarded. Now, you will be able to use the “Leave it to me” card two times in a row and get 4 more cards and 4 Heroism.

At this moment you will have 2 “Surgical Strike” cards, 4 Heroism, and 8 cards in your hand. For using 2 “Surgical Strike” cards you will need 6 Heroism in total. Use the first “Surgical Strike” while having 8 cards in the hand, then get 2 Heroism from “Heads Up” and use the second ” Surgical Strike” with 6 cards in the hand. This is how you will cause maximum damage. If you try anything else, you will fail.

If you followed my instructions, the only thing left to do is to use the remaining “Blast” cards which will be enough for destroying the crystal and getting the “Hellfire Beam” Legendary Card.

“Hellfire Beam” is an amazing card. Its initial damage is low, but it can be improved with redraws indefinitely – there is no limit to the potential damage. Also, it costs only 3 Heroism. “Hellfire Beam” helped me a lot in the last encounter!

Magik – “Demon Child”

Rules:

  • Infinite Card plays
  • Move and Redraw are disabled
  • Challenge is failed if you are killed after ending the turn

Watch video HERE

Your goal is to survive the attack of the remaining mobs in the area. The only way to do so is to kill the middle Mob which will grant you a Legendary card and Invulnerability.

There are 2 environmental explosions in the area. The red explosion will place Week, while the green explosion will place Vulnerability. You will want to place Vulnerability as soon as possible trying to maximize future damage.

Start the fight with the “Trap Door” card positioning Mob so it can be easily kicked into green explosion afterward (use “Quick Soulslash” for that). After that use “Limbo’s Grasp” to maximize your damage through portals and use “Limbo Portal” which should be directed into the red environmental explosion.

Now, use “Kick” to knock back the mob through the portal into the red environmental explosion. If you did that, now you only need to use the ” Trap Door” for the second time and place the mob close to the wall so it can get additional damage after being knocked back with ” Soul Blast” in the end.

This should be enough for killing the mob and getting the “Darkchylde” Legendary card. “Darkchylde” grants Invulnerable and taunts all enemies on the map. This is an extremely powerful card that will often change the tide of the battle in your favor. It will buy you the whole turn to build up your Heroism and build up your strategy. When everything seems lost “Darkchylde” will bring you victories regardless of enemy power and the game’s difficulty!

Captain America – “Guardian”

Rules:

  • Infinite Card plays
  • Move and Redraw are disabled
  • Challenge is failed if the goal is not reached before the end of the turn or when all cards are used

Watch Video HERE

Captain America’s challenge is not very hard. Your goal is to accumulate as many Block as possible to transform that Block into damage with a legendary card and destroy the crystal.

At the start, it is obvious that you need to unlock the Card that will build up your Block according to the damage you cause (“The Best Defense” card). If you don’t unlock that card immediately your maximum Block will be reduced so killing a mob who holds “The Best Defense” is the only course of action. If you knock him against the wall, he will be KOd immediately, and “The Best Defense” will be yours – use it instantly.

At this point, you will accumulate enough Heroism to use “Shield Bounce” and you will have another “Punch” card available. With “Shield Bounce” target 3 mobs including the one who holds the “Tactician” card. They will be all KOd after which you should use the “Tactician” card which will give you an additional Block, another “Punch” card, and a “Shield Bash” card.

When you eliminate the last mob with the “Punch” card, you will stay with 2 “Shield Bash” cards, 1 “Punch” card, and a final Mob that guards the “Shield Charge” Legendary card.

The only thing that is left to do is to use the “Punch” card first (making sure that the final mob will hit the wall) and the other 2 cards afterward. That will be enough for killing the final mob and unlocking the Legendary Card.

All players who have any experience playing with Captain America earlier will solve this challenge effortlessly on the first attempt.

Spider-Man – “Wall Crawler”

Rules:

  • Infinite Card plays
  • Redraw is disabled
  • Move is enabled
  • Challenge is failed if the goal is not reached before the end of the turn or when all cards are used

Watch Video HERE

In Spider-Man’s challenge, you will learn how to maximize environmental damage and use additional moves for manipulating the positions of enemies in battle. You will be against 3 trash mobs that can be killed instantly and 1 big mob that needs to be killed using the environment and trash mobs.

At the start, you have only 2 cards, “Special Delivery” and “Opportunist”. Those 2 cards will give you 3 Moves in total and additional damage when using the environment.

Start the battle by using “Special Delivery” on the far-right trash mob and direct it against the big mob. The trash mob will die causing minimal damage to the big mob and giving you 1 Move. After that, use the “Opportunist” card and you will get 2 more Moves and your damage will increase when using the environment.

At this point, you will have 3 objects that can be pushed into a certain direction depending on your position, 1 big mob, and 2 trash mobs between 2 objects. Both objects and mobs form a triangle.

Your first move should be right behind the Big Mob so you can push it with an object to collide with a trash mob. Once you do that 1 Trash Mob will die and you will have a big mob and a trash mob between 2 objects.

The next move should set you in a position to push an object toward a big mob that will collide with the last trash mob and kills it. If you do that properly, the only thing left to do is to move the last time in the position from which you can push the last object into the big mob to collide it with the wall.

The damage caused by objects and collides will be enough to kill the big mob and give you the “Infernal Spider” Legendary card. Use it and you will get 3 new cards that can be used for free. Use all 3 cards against the Crystal and Challenge will be successfully over.

Doctor Strange – “Strange Memories”

Rules:

  • Infinite Card plays
  • Move and Redraw are disabled
  • Challenge is failed if the goal is not reached before the end of the turn or when all cards are used

Watch Video HERE

In Doctor Strange’s Challenge, you will learn how to utilize his Enhanced mechanics with his Skill cards and how to maximize his damage output.

There will be 5 mobs against you and your goal will be to destroy the Crystal causing more than 85 damage. You will start with 3 “Bolt of Balthakk” cards which cause 10 damage each (17 if you have 4 Heroism). There are 2 mobs with 10 HP who are guarding “Blessing of Vishanti cards”. The other 2 Mobs guard the “Aggamoto’s Gaze” cards, but they have 15 HP. The fifth Mob has 27 HP and guards the unique card that will copy 2 random Attack cards from your deck.

“Blessing of Vishanti” increases the damage of all Attack cards in your hand by 5. “Aggamoto’s Gaze” draws 2 last-played Attack cards (which is important) and gives you 4 Card Plays in the next turn (which is not important).

This is what you should do – kill 10 HP Mob first and get first “Blessing of Vishanti”. Use it to increase the damage of 2 remaining “Bolt of Balthakk” which should cause 15 damage at that point. Use one of them to kill a 15 HP mob who will give you first “Aggamoto’s Gaze”. Now, return 2 already used “Bolt of Balthakk”‘” with “Aggamoto’s gaze.

At this point, you will have 4 Heroism and Enhanced will be triggered for all cards in your hand. However, only 1 Card will have 22 damage while the other 2 will have 17 damage because when you return used cards you return them without buffs. Anyway, 17 damage is enough to kill both mobs that guard the second ” Blessing of Wishanty” and the second “Aggamoto’s Gaze”. Upon getting both cards, use “Aggamoto’s Gaze” to return spent attack cards, and after that increase the damage of all 3 cards in your hand for the second time with “Blessing of Vishanti”.

The only thing left is to kill the last mob who has 27 HP. Do not make the mistake to kill it using 2 cards. Instead, use your strongest “Bolt of Balthakk” and kill it instantly. You will get a unique card that will make copies of your 2 attack cards – use it. If you followed the instructions, you will end it with 4 “Bolt of Balthakk” which will cause 22 damage each. Since Crystal has 85 HP, by using all 4 cards you will kill it and unlock the “Seven Son of Cinnibus” legendary card.

Use the Legendary Card on the second Crystal to finish the Challenge.

Scarlet Witch – “Witch’s Trial”

Rules:

  • Infinite Card plays
  • Move and Redraw are disabled
  • Challenge is failed if the goal is not reached before the end of the turn or when all cards are used

Watch Video HERE

In this Challenge, you should learn how to exploit Wanda’s kit for offensive purposes. Even though you will never actually be forced to do that in combat it is good to get acquainted with all available options for a certain character.

You will start the challenge with 2 “Quick Toss” Cards, 2 “Hex Field” cards, and a single “Hex Bolt” card. You will be surrounded by 5 mobs. 4 of them will have 20 HP and you will have to kill them in order to get the “No More” card that will kill the last mob whose Health is significantly increased.

The idea is to use “Quick Toss” cards to pull up 2 far away mobs into range for Scarlet’s “Hex Field Cards”. Use both Hex Field Cards with all 5 mobs in range to cause 10 damage to each Mob. You will stay with 2 mobs with 5 HP, 2 mobs with 10 HP, and a big mob while having only 1 “Hex Bolt” card in hand.

Now you will learn how the “Hex Bolt” card works. Each use of this card will increase the number of Chains for the next time the same card is drawn. Kill the mob with 5 Hp that holds another “Hex Bolt” card. Now kill the mob with 10 HP that holds the third “Hex Bolt “card by placing both Chains to him (the second “Hex Bolt” will have 2 Chains). You will get “Hex Bolt” with 3 Chains which will be enough to kill 1 mob with 5 HP and the other mob with 10 HP (1 Chain= 5 damage).

When you kill trash mobs, you will get the “One More” Legendary card that brings Scarlet WIth’c Hp to 0 causing 1 Damage for each HP abstracted. That will be enough for killing the Ancestral Memory and finishing the Challenge.

Ghost Rider – “Dark Heart”

Rules:

  • Infinite Card plays
  • Move and Redraw are disabled
  • Challenge is failed if the goal is not reached before the end of the turn or when all cards are used

Watch Video HERE

Ghost Rider is undoubtedly the best damage dealer in the game, but his abilities require compensation in HP or cards. In his challenge, you will learn the basics of combat with Ghost Rider.

You will start with 4 cards and 4 Whispers of Memory that have to be killed so you can kill Ancestral Memory and clear the Challenge.

You will have 2 “Lash” cards, a “Retribution” card, and a “Judgement” card. “Lash” Cards allow you Forceful Knockback in any direction at the cost of HP (colliding with an object or another character causes 11 damage). The “Judgement” card takes 25% of your current HP to cause additional damage (1 hp=2 damage). The “Retribution” card causes 16 damage and knockback a target but at the same time, it discards a random card from your hand. All Whispers of Memory that need to be killed have 21 HP.

The tactic is simple. Use the “Judgement” at the start while your HP is full to instantly kill 1 target. After that use 2 “Lash” cards by knocking back 1 mob into another 2 times – you will kill them both without paying a price for the lost Health. In the end, when the “Retribution” card is the last in your hand and when there is no worry that you will lose a card from the deck, use ” Retribution” to knock back the last Whisper of Memory into the wall. It will die and give you 2 new cards – the “Drain Soul” card and the legendary “Penance Stare” card.

Focus your attention on Ancestral Memory but use “Drain Soul” first to replenish your lost Health with Lifesteal. When your HP is full again, use “Penance Star” to cause additional damage equal to 50% of your current HP multiplied by 4 (1hp=4 damage). The Ancestral Whisper will be dead immediately and you will start learning that “Penance Stare” is the card capable of delivering insane amounts of damage. No other card can be compared with Ghost Rider’s legendary card! This will be the end of the Challenge that will make your future gameplay considerably easier – “Penance Stare” should be nerfed!

Hulk – “Monster or Man”

Rules:

  • Infinite Card plays
  • Move and Redraw are disabled
  • Challenge is failed if the goal is not reached before the end of the turn or when all cards are used

Watch Video HERE

To unlock Hulk’s Challenge, you will not have to bring his Friendship to Level 5. Instead, you will have to upgrade your Research level to level 15, and after that, if you upgraded 3 Hulk’s abilities, you would get the final Research which will unlock Hulk’s challenge among other things.

In Hulk’s Challenge, your goal is to build Hulk’s rage to a maximum (5 fits of rage). You will start with 2 “Smash” cards (provides 1 rage and stun the target), 2 “Gamma Kick” cards (Forceful Knockback and Taunt), a “Crush” card (high damage + additional damage if the target is stunned), and “Let’s Do This” unique card (force all taunted enemies to immediately attack Hulk). Also, there are 5 enemies and one of them is guarding the “Rampage” card (3 Chains + Taunt for each target).

You can build your rage in 2 ways in this challenge – by using a “Smash” card (each card will give you 1 Rage) or by being attacked by enemies (1 enemy attack=1 Rage). It is momentarily obvious that your goal should be to force 4 enemies to attack you which will give you 4 fits of Rage and to finish the challenge by using a “Smash” card that should give you the last needed fit of Rage.

There is only 1 possible tactic to do that. Use the first “Gamma Kick” card to taunt the mob that is on the opposite side from the cluster of 3 Mobs. After that use the second ” Gamma Kick” card to knock back the mob in the middle who guards the “Rampage” card. Make sure that he collides with something for additional damage. In order to kill that mob and get the card you will have to use the first ” Smash” card and then materialize the bonus damage from the “Crush” card. The combined damage should be enough for killing and getting the “Rampage” card that will allow you to Taunt 3 mobs in the cluster.

After all, 4 mobs are Taunted, use the “Let’s do this” card and force them to attack you. This will give you 4 rage and the only thing left to do is to use the second “Smash” card on a random enemy. You will fill the last fit of Rage and get the legendary “Worldbreaker” card.

All enemies will be around you and in range of the “Worldbraker”. Just use it and you will kill them all witnessing the true power of Hulk’s Legendary Card. Basically, it is the same as Hunter’s “Bladestorm” but it cost 2 Heroism more (6 in total). That is for a reason since if Hulk is on maximum Rage, the potential power of “Worldbreaker” will be literally insane!

Wolverine – “Bone & Claw”

Rules:

  • Infinite Card plays
  • Move and Redraw are disabled
  • Challenge is failed if the goal is not reached before the end of the turn or when all cards are used

Watch Video HERE

Wolverine’s Challenge is a tricky one, but it will show you how to maximize his effectiveness in combat.

You will start with 7 available cards against 4 mobs with 40 HP each. Knowing that only 5 cards cause damage where maximum damage is 5, the odds seem impossible for Wolverine even though he has 2 cards that grant him 9 Chains in total.

This is what you should do. The first card that you should use is the “Lethal Pounce” card. It has 2 chains and grants Strengthen if both Chains are focused on a single target. Use that immediately against one of the targets. As you can see there are 2 groups of 2 Whispers of memory on each side. After you increase your damage with “Lethal Pounce”, use the first “Power Slash” card against the enemy next to the first attacked enemy. Make sure that it is knocked back at the wall for increased damage and Vulnerability.

Now, focus your attention on the mobs on the opposite side of the map. Pick one and use the second “Power Slash” also knocking back it against the wall for increased damage and vulnerability. At this point, you will have “Chain Swipes” (3 Chains, 5 Damage and Taunt), “Stink of Fear” (Taunt +Counter), Eviscerate (4 Chains, 8 damage), and “Let’s do This” (make all taunted targets attack Wolverine immediately). The best course of action is to use ” Chain Swipes” against nearby mobs but you must be careful to place 1 Chain on the target with Vulnerability and 2 Chains on the target with full HP.

Now, go back to the other side of the map and use Stink of Fear” to taunt the other 2 mobs and get Counter. When you do that and all 4 mobs are taunted, use “Let’s do This” to make all enemies attack you and be punished with your Counter. The amount of damage you will cause will kill targets with Vulnerability instantly and leave 2 remaining mobs with 16 HP.

The only thing left to do is to evenly divide 4 Chains from “Eviscerate” to 2 remaining targets and to kill them. You will get Wolverine’s legendary “Midnight Special” card to destroy Crystal and finish the Challenge. “Midnight Special” is not one of my favorite Legendary cards but it can be really useful for those who love taking Wolverine in battle. Unfortunately, I am not one of them.

Deadpool – “Fourth Wall”

Rules:

  • Infinite Card plays
  • Move and Redraw are disabled
  • Challenge is failed if the goal is not reached before the end of the turn or when all cards are used

Watch Video HERE

Deadpool Challenge may seem hard, but it is quite logical if you are familiar with his game mechanic – with every kill, Deadpool gains extra effects on all his cards (+x Damage, Increased Area effect, decreased Heroism cost, etc…). This bonus is cumulative until he is attacked. Since there is no one to attack him in the challenge, you must calculate how many kills you need to get enough damage so you can dispose of enemies with a higher HP pool. Do not pay attention to the Incarnation of Memory who is behind you, because you will kill him when you kill all Whispers of Memory and get Legendary Card – “Burning Sensation”.

At the start, you have 4 cards:

  • “Spread the Love” card (Chain x2; 5 damage) x1
  • “Death from Above” card (Single-Target; 10 damage) x2
  • “Mag Damp” card (Single-Target; 4 Heroism; 25 damage) x1

There are 7 Whispers of MEmory in total and 2 of them guard additional cards:

  • “Spread the Love” card (Chain x2; 5 damage) is guarded by 5 HP Whisper of Memory
  • “Pain Pinata” card (AOE; 2 Heroism; 5 damage) is guarded by 17 HP Whisper of Memory

Besides those 2 there are also:

  • 5 HP Whisper of Memory x2
  • 10 HP Whisper of Memory x1
  • 22 HP Whisper of Memory x 2

The tactic is simple – use both “Spread the Love” cards to kill two 5 HP Whispers of Memory while reducing HP to 17 HP Whisper of Memory (with the card) and 10 HP Whisper of Memory.

At that point, the “Death from Above” card will cause 12 damage and you can one-shot 17 HP Whisper of Memory (with the card) who was previously injured. That will be the third kill (+5 damage) and you will stay with 2 mobs with 22 HP and 2 mobs with 5HP.

“Pain Pinata” causes only 5 damage but that is all you need – it will have an increased Area Effect and you can kill 2 mobs instantly, and reduce HP of one 22 HP whisper of Memory to 17 HP. When you do that, you will have 5 kills in your “En Fuego” pool which will be enough to easily fulfill the challenge objectives.

“Death from Above” will cause 17 damage at this point which will be enough for killing an injured 22 HP Whisper of Memory. After that, your “Mag Dump” card will cost only 1 Heroism and you will not have problems eliminating the last 22 HP Whisper of Memory regardless of your kill order previously.

After killing the last Whisper of Memory you will get the “Burning Sensation” legendary card that will cause enough damage to eliminate Incarnation of Memory.

“Burning Sensation” is probably the strongest Single-Target in the game. It has high initial damage and costs only 2 Heroism. However, the “En Fuego” bonus for this card is insane – with every kill, you increase the multiplier of the initial damage. The potential damage is ridiculous, especially when you know the concept of Deadpool’s Story Missions – survive and prevail while fighting swarms of trash vampires that can usually be killed instantly.

Venom – “Brain Buffet”

Rules:

  • Infinite Card plays
  • Move and Redraw are disabled
  • Defeat all Incarnations of Memory and acquire the “Assimilation” card. Use the card to destroy Whispers of Memory.
  • Challenge is failed if the goal is not reached before the end of the turn or when all cards are used

Watch Video HERE

Venom’s challenge is not really hard if you how his “Ravenous” mechanic works. In short, Venom starts the fight with significantly increased damage, and with every Card Play, he loses 1 Ravenous which will gradually decrease his damage with other cards in the hand. Since he starts with 3 Ravenous, the initial damage on cards in your hand can be lowered up to 3 times. Fortunately, his Skill cards give him additional Ravenous and prevent Ravenous spending for a certain number of Card Plays.

At the start, you have 5 cards:

  • “Tendril Strike” Attack Card (Chain x2; 7/6/5 damage) x2
  • “Web Toss” Attack Card (Forceful Knockback in any direction) x1
  • “Lethal Embrace” Attack Card (+22 Damage against targets with full HP; 15/13/11 damage) x1
  • “Spike Burst” Heroic Card (AOE; 3 Heroism; 22/20/18 damage) x1

By killing enemies you can get additional cards:

  • “Insatiable Hunger” Skill Card (Gain 1 Ravenous + 1 Ravenous on the start of next turn; +2 Heroism) x1 – kill Incarnation of Memory with 35 HP
  • “Tasty Brains” Heroic Card (Lifesteal; 3 Heroism; 37/31/25 damage) x1 – kill Incarnation of Memory with 53 HP
  • “Assimilation” Legendary Skill Card (attack and heroic cards gain “Quick” and “Draw Card” upon killing an enemy+ Draws 1 attack or heroic Venom card; +2 Heroism)x1 – kill all Incarnations of Memory
  • “Tasty Brains” Heroic Card (Lifesteal; 3 Heroism; 37/31/25 damage) x1 – upon using the “Assimilation” card
  • “Lethal Embrace” Attack Card (+22 Damage against targets with full HP; 15/13/11 damage) x1 – kill Whisper of Memory

In this challenge, you will be against:

  • 1 x Incarnation of Memory – 25 HP
  • 2 x Incarnation of Memory – 31 HP
  • 1 x Incarnation of Memory – 35 HP
  • 1 x Incarnation of Memory – 53 HP
  • 2 x Whisper of Memory – 25 HP – invulnerable before all Incarnations of Memory are killed

The first step should be the killing of the Incarnation of Memory who holds an “Insatiable Hunger” Skill Card. You can do it immediately with a “Lethal Embrace” card.

After that don’t use a new card yet. Instead, use a “Web Toss” on the Incarnation of Memory who holds the “Tasty Brains” card and knockback it into the Green Explosion. That way, a mob with the highest HP will get Vulnerability which will allow you to one-shot it with your AOE card.

At this moment, you will need to use your new Skill Card in order to get Heroism and regain your lost Ravenous.

In the video, I used “Spike Burst” to affect an unharmed mob near the wall but in truth, it doesn’t matter if you will affect that mob or the other as long as you will kill affect 3 Incarnations of Memory simultaneously while killing the one holding the “Tasty Brains”.

Now, you only need to use “Tendril Strike” Attack Cards to build your Heroism enough so you can kill the last Incarnation with newly gained “Tasty Brains”.

Upon killing the last Incarnation, you will get the “Assimilation” card – use it and kill Whispers of Memory with cards you get to finish the challenge.

“Assimilation” Legendary Card is the first Skill Legendary Card in Marvel’s Midnight Suns. It crucially boosts Venom’s effectiveness in battles by giving him the best Card effects possible for the next 2 Cards he will use. “Quick” and “Draw Card on K.O.” combined effects on any card of your choosing will open numerous possibilities for otherwise impossible situations. This card will not increase Venom’s damage potential but it will be far more useful in some situations than having a Legendary Card that can cause insane damage for a large amount of Heroism.

I am very happy since the Developers proved to be open-minded and didn’t follow the existing concept for character Legendary Cards – the versatility of options and solutions for hard situations is the safe way to ensure the longevity of the game itself.
