MMS – how to unlock Wolverine?

Wolverine is one of the most iconic characters in the Marvel Universe. Without a doubt, his importance in Marvel Midnight Suns will be grand. Before explaining how you can unlock him, I will list all available characters in Marvel Midnight Suns, so you can have a close picture of their roles in the game.

Characters

This is the list of all available characters in Marvel’s Midnight Suns.

  • Hunter – daughter of Lilith and main playable character that doesn’t exist in MU. There are rumors that Marvel Comic and Publishing branches are working seriously on placing this character in Comics before the game release.
  • Nico Minoru
  • Blade
  • Spider-Man
  • Wolverine
  • Iron Man
  • Magik
  • Doctor Strange
  • Ghost Rider
  • Captain America
  • Captain Marvel

Wolverine’s Role

As you can see besides Captain America and maybe Ghost Rider, Wolverine will be the only character capable of tanking incoming damage. At the same time, it is well known that Wolverine can deliver deadly laceration strikes with insane speed. This should nominate him as support DPS as well.

Logically, all Wolverine Cards will have a combination of Chain, Life Steal, and Taunt effects. When we imagine his effectiveness against large enemy groups and a range of outcomes when he uses his skills in combination with an environment, it is obvious that he will be extremely important.

That is the reason his unlocking will be a priority for all players.

Sabretooth Boss

To unlock Wolverine, you will need to confront Sabretooth in the story’s main questline. When you reach that part (mid-game), Wolverine will show to prevent his evil brother succeed in his devious plans. However, to have him available for joining the squad you will have to beat Sabretooth.

In the battle with Sabretooth, you will not have the help of two other chosen members of the team. Only Hunter and Wolverine will face the Boss.

Sabretooth hits really hard but he doesn’t have much to show other than that. He indeed lacerates the same as Wolverine, but unlike him, he can’t steal HP or Taunt. Do not think that your job will be easier, though.

The main problem with Sabretooth Boss is his Frenzy ability. Frenzy allows him to react after every action of each character that opposes him. In this case, whenever Wolverine or Hunter executes an action, Sabretooth will punish them with hammering strikes.

The trick for this fight is to smartly use Wolverine’s Life Steal. Let him be the main target to Sabretooth by using Taunt and then wait until Wolverine is below 20% HP. Do not use Life Steal earlier and be careful to not eliminate Sabretooth adds before that. For Life Steal to be effective – the more enemies hit, the more HP is restored.

During the Boss fight, do not hesitate to check all objects in the vicinity because using them may be the difference between life and death. In the end, if you followed my instructions, the power of Wolverine will easily prevail against his notorious siblings, and you will have an iconic X-Men to help you against Lilith.

Eventually, you will unlock and use all the characters previously mentioned characters. Our goal is to explain to you which of them has an advantage against Bosses, so stay tuned – Lilith is cunning and you will need all the help provided.
